I popped in here this morning for breakfast. And so glad I did! I was welcomed with warmth and great conversation with John the owner, a humble down to earth man. He really is adapting the restaurant to the needs of people in the local area. I had shashuka( spelling?) for the 1st time, huge tasty portion I couldn't finish with a freshly squeezed orange juice. Yum 😋. I was served by Agneska( Spelling? )Lovely lady from Lithuania. Going here made my day today. Thank you! 🙏 I recommend and will definitely be back !

Excellent hospitality. We stumbled on this place while walking from the nearby playground looking for a bite. My daughter wanted pancakes, which was not on the menu, but they made a nice plate of pancakes with fruits and chocolate sauce for her. Thoughtfully, they have a corner with children’s books which was great for her to flip through while we waited for the food. Food was delicious. We both liked the atmosphere and felt very welcome. My daughter got a plate of sliced apples after as dessert on the house - really nice touch and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

We called in here for a quick lunch on a warm Thursday in July. We sat outside under the awning surrounded by a great atmosphere made up of solo diners having a coffee, families with children having a late breakfast and friends catching up over lunch. We were instantly given a warm greeting by our server (I believe it was Peter but can't recall), who informed us of a chicken dish he had just finished cooking and even showed us photos of it on his phone. It was clear this was someone who was really passionate about food and food service, and we knew we'd made the right call in taking a seat. We opted for burgers which were very reasonably priced. They arrived quickly and were very hot, served with chips. We were surprised that at this price point they were served in brioche buns and a really good portion size. We had a few more soft drinks outside after we finished eating and again experienced fast and friendly service. Conduit Coffee House has a great relaxed atmosphere, and has recently decorated toilets that are clean and fresh.

One of the best full English breakfasts I’ve had. Very nice presentation, with bright orange egg. Everything on the plate was delicious, the tomato perfectly cooked. Lovely location with seating inside and out, very clean restaurant and staff are attentive but the quality of food and portions are very poor - to no-one's benefit. Saw some other diners eating breakfast and thought that the food looked ok. Wasn't that hungry so ordered a sausage sandwich and received a single sausage sliced into 4 in a supermarket sliced white loaf, perhaps Warburton's toastie at best. Partner had an almond croissant that was stale. Coffee was very poor being nothing more than bitter black water. You can eat significantly higher quality food for lower prices in Bloomsbury high street. Otherwise just visit the other cafes on this street. Overall this place looks really nice but customers are being charged as much as possible the cheapest possible ingredients. A shame as the cafe is in such a good location that by really optimising value for the customer rather than themselves they could do a roaring trade in repeat business.

If you’re looking for an honest review then keep reading. Conduit coffee house has revamped into a modern 21st century coffee shop. It’s got a new menu, professional staff and the produce comes from the farm from the pork to the eggs. It’s got a great location as well located near the st Ormond street hospital for children and has a pub next door for the evening hours. There is seats inside and outside as well you can bring your pets or even your grandmother who has a scooter they also have a great options for people who are into fitness and there’s a lot of vegan options too from builders to doctors to CEO’s of tech and finance companies I’ve seen it all in there the atmosphere is different everybody walks past always asks the owner John when the cafe is going to be open and it is now open for the public I will be going back there again with my friends and family what a gem amongst a pile of charcoal haha cheers!

Popped in here during my work day. Pleasant enough. Looked at the menu. A rather worn item which had been around for a long time. There were so many spelling mistakes. One of them was ‘Chili Corn Carne’. Just in case it was a vegetarian option due to the corn addition I asked. It became clear it was just a spelling mistake. She then said that not everyone who works there is English. If only there was some electronic means by which we can check stuff... The Chilli Con Carne was fine , not amazing or close to it. However, I have to comment on the peas that feature in the image. They literally had no taste. Apart from the texture your would be unaware your mouth was occupied by a vegetable. An amazing scientific feat. The Ringo Starr of the culinary world. Apart from all that, it was relatively cheap. Would I come here again, umm, not sure, probably not but , as I said, it’s cheap, so maybe

Some of the seating in the back room is a bit cramped but there's always been enough space when I've come here around 1.30 or 2.00. I'm very boring as I always have double egg & chips which I consider one of the best meals there is. The food is consistently good as is the staff. This is a great place to eat, especially if on a low budget, you're visiting GOSH and you want something different from the hospital's in-house restaurant. I'd describe it as a "greasy spoon", perhaps unfairly; however, it has many of the features of a low price cafe/diner.A surprisingly extensive menu; all day breakfast, choice of roasts, various specials, and other choices too varied to mention. You can expect a warm welcome on arrival; the staff are all very friendly (especially a couple of lovely Polish ladies).I had the pie and chips; couldn't honestly recommend it, as the pie had been microwaved (ie soggy pastry), but plenty of other veg to accompany it. The tables are quite small and it can get very busy (especially at lunchtime), but it is very popular for good reason. Some delicious home made pastries are available. No bank cards, so be prepared to pay cash. Would definitely go again, but would not choose the pie next time. Forget how long, but it's been a cafe for an incredible number of years (Charles Dickens may have eaten there!). Some intersting photos of the area on the walls.

If you can get a place to sit in front of the shop, you are in luck since there are only 2 tables available. Otherwise you'll have to sit on the back which is not very nice (windowless room). The food is Ok and the staff is polite.

It’s a fantastic venue, the acts are awesome. We love it so much we are now members. Can’t wait to celebrate at the Phoenix on News Year Eve.

Four Northerners in London got a delicious Chippy Tea and a cracking cup of tea from these lovely people. The decor is lovely, the place was clean, the staff are so friendly and most importantly - big portions at a sensible price
