An excellent lunch on 25th , they opened the restaurant for us although it was during their break prior to evening service , as we were going on to Wembley stadium for a concert . The food & service were both exceptional , hope to return next time I'm in London. Ann & Sara

Again, excellent. A glass of house 🍷 each and off to theatre. Oh, the rolls, especially the olive ones, beyond. And the butter too 😋. Simon & team, an absolute pleasure 🙏. Thank you xxx

We’ve been going to Bradley’s restaurant for 30 years. Our recent experience was as always fabulous. The fish soup and twice baked soufflé are favourites , all the mains are flavourful and beautifully presented, as are the desserts which rival the top restaurants in finesse. My favourite is the dessert soufflé though none disappoint. Chef/owner Simon should be congratulated on producing consistently delicious food - unpretentious, professional service- and excellent value.

Second time dining at this restaurant and enjoyed it very much both times. It’s not inexpensive but all things considered it’s good value for money especially the pre/post theatre set menu. Seating is quite comfortable and it’s not especially noisy both of which suggest they have made investments in their customers’ comfort and overall experience. Will very likely go back again.

Lovely location in Swiss Cottage near Hampstead Theatre. Nice menu and good service overall with a nice ambience. We had the set 3 course dinner at £40 each, and this surprised all of us as it was actually very good and certainly not that inferior to the a la carte menu choices. We had fish soup, Schnitzel, and creme brulee and cheese combinations. The only word of advice here is do not book a table at 730pm as we had to wait for the pre theatre crowd to leave the restaurant before we could sit down and we had to wait for at least 25 minutes so I suggest booking at 8pm. This would have been 5* overall if it wasn't for the issue of the long wait at the beginnig AND the attitude of the Manager, who was obviously rather stressed, as he was very rude to his staff and didn't seem to mind shouting at them in front of customers. I found this rather uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. Recommended for the food alone, and as long as the manager is not feeling stressed, you will have an amazing meal and a surprisingly reasonable final bill.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and the evening was a great success. The food was delicious and each table was served together, the service was excellent, the care taken with 'fussy eaters' was exemplary and it was a 5-star experience. We went for the really very good value set meal before the Hampstead theatre - probably like everyone else there at 5.30 on a Thursday just before Christmas. We would happily have eaten either option for both courses. I managed to have chestnuts for every course - a win in my book. Delicious bread to start with and then an ok chestnut and mushroom soup with a delicious mushroom pastry alongside. But the real triumph was the confit of duck with parsnip and savoy cabbage and a dark sauce. Plus we ordered extra sprouts and chestnuts and potatoes on the side. It was a delicious combination of tastes and textures: quite sweet in the parsnip and duck but the sprouts cut it. Desserts were fine: more chestnuts on the meringue and husband enjoyed raspberry creme brûlée. All that for £30 a head plus sides and Prosecco seemed a good deal to me and we would go back like a shot. The full menu is very much pricier but did look good

Surprised this restaurant is not on the Michelin Guide yet but I am sure it will soon. Perfect presentation of dishes and incredibly tasty. They have really mastered the fusion between French and British cuisine. Staff are absolutely lovely and super efficient too. Selection of wine and champagne is fabulous which is much appreciated. Finally, this is a dog friendly restaurant and they carefully select a table for you so that you and your pooch are comfortable without disturbing any customers that might not appreciate dogs. The restaurant is perfectly situated within a few yards of the Hampstead Theatre and the clientele, like us, were mostly going there. Enjoyed an excellent pre theatre meal. The set menu food was very good and between us we had both the starters and mains - butternut squash soup and gravlax with beetroot followed by rump of lamb and hake. All the dishes were well prepared and presented. To accompany our food we enjoyed a very good French Pinot Noir. My only gripe was that for reasons that escaped me the head waiter would not serve me any bread until we had ordered notwithstanding that my guest arrived late and I had already ordered and was drinking our wine!

Very convenient to the Hampstead Theatre but because of roadworks we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. They were not too happy about that and were not very welcoming. The food was tasty and nicely served but the waiter had a bad cold and kept blowing his nose between servings. Wouldn't really recommend unless you really needed a pre-theatre dinner very close to the theatre.

We’ve been dining here for decades. It’s always been an excellent, well priced neighbourhood restaurant with good food and excellent abstract artwork on the walls (apparently made by the owner). What’s changed? We’ve been twice this year, in February and November. The food and value are the same but the atmosphere is …toxic. The waiting staff are rushed, rude and frankly out of control. Any semblance of the happy environment conducive to an enjoyable meal experience is completely absent. From having to beg the waiting staff to switch of the max air conditioning on a cold February night (because ‘we’re hot from rushing around’) to being attacked for arriving 15 minutes late (‘you should have been here at 1730. Its 1745. We’ve cancelled your reservation’) it’s all…hostile. I’m not sure that the Bradley’s are ever in the restaurant. . Perhaps the owners will read this and consider improving the service team? I hope so.

So, 12.15pm & the sun is shining. We sat at the new outdoor terrace (streetery) shaded by fresh plants & umbrellas. Relaxing, chatting... A bottle of water, mini breads & of course the excellent Bradley's butter... We started with the most delicious croquettes- a soft, cheesy bechamel with the most delicious pea puree, fried & topped with a saracha-esque mayo. I didn't read the menu - hope my interpretation is correct? My colleague had the duck/ peach salad (main size) & I had the caesar. Both superb. As a caesar expert (!!), I loved the fact the baby anchovies were on the plate. The chicken breast was sooo succulent, fresh, tasty. Had to he organic? Anyways, the mains beyond. One Peronni & two coffees (they had my skinny milk, thank you). A super light menu oftion addition & superbly executed. And great value, too.

Bradley’s is one of my favourite places to lunch. This visit I had the latest version of the cuttlefish starter, this time with roasted peppers and sobrasada – it looked fantastic and tasted even better. For a main course, I had the bourride with aromatic vegetables – the fish cooking here is always excellent and the bourride did not disappoint, a rare treat. The roasted peaches finished things off very nicely. Alongside the well-designed dishes, excellent cooking and great presentation, the friendly and professional service, a well-made Manhattan, and good wine pairings all made for another relaxing experience – will be back soon!

I have been to this restaurant many times and the owner Simon Bradley is very amicable. We went with friends we have not seen since before COVID and we had not been able to visit this restaurant either. Since then my wife is now disabled and the website states wheelchair access. In fact it’s difficult and luckily I asked for a table in the window. I could store the wheelchair in the clock cupboard. We ordered and all the food is good as usual except the Halibut day fish was not fresh but edible. The service has slipped when the waitress hands the plate to my friend’s rather than placing it on the table. I had to ask for water and a bottle was left on the table. No assistance. When it was time to leave there was no help with holding the door for the wheelchair which is difficult through two angled doors. At 12.5% service where there was none it is very expensive. Either take off the service or offer more staff help.

I'd not been to Bradley's for years despite living literally around the corner. Last week I discovered that they were dog friendly so I was off like a shot. Firstly the food was fantastic- really good. It was a treat. The fish soup and the lamb were simply delicious. Everyone in the party of five enjoyed their food, including a fussy twelve year old. Very friendly staff. And they were not simply dog tolerant but genuinely dog friendly. They gave my dog water and steak! I was impressed that they had planned where to put us, away from other diners so the dog (who is only small but they didn't know that when I booked) did not bother others (he's very well behaved anyway otherwise I wouldn't take him) but still in a place where we felt part of the room. Hats off to Bradley's, 10/10. And a big woof from a happy miniature Schnauzer.

Wonderful and sophisticated food (the amaretto and apricot soufflé was a particular highlight, as well as the crab starter), great service from friendly staff, a nice wine list, and plenty of local charm. Far and away the best restaurant in the area and a real gem for locals (and those visiting Hampstead Theatre, which is just around the corner). The outside tables are perfect for summer dining, too. We look forward to returning.

6pm on a baking Tuesday evening, we're welcomed by Simon & shown to our table by the open doors to the courtyard. Lovely. First visit in... months & months and not disappointed: from the breads, even the butter, my side of fresh heritage tomatoes all...

So pleased they're busy again. We booked for 6.00 pm on a Dishy Rishy Tuesday. V cool, garden doors open. Staff & Simon fabulous, as was bread, butter, food, wine. Understand times hard but would have loved a 6pm / early / or set menu special. Big shout out for heritage tomato salad. Unreal. Amazing. I chose this side as a starter. Class. Xxx Loved it all.

No debe pedirlo raro. No defraudó.

We wanted to make an reservation, but the "so called" manager on phone was so rude and being ridiculous. saying something like "you can come at 6:30pm but we wouldn't serve you until 7pm." it is the most unbelievable reply we heard from an restaurant. if that's the level of service, i would rather NOT going there.

No volveremos

This is simply an amazing restaurant and a sort of hidden gem in London. Came for Valentines day and although we were a bit early we were seated instantly. An amuse bouche is served (free of charge) which was delicious. The oysters we then ordered were fresh and delicious and the waiter comes around often with a basket of fresh bread. Starters were delicate, small but sublime. Both had the french rack of lamb for mains with a side of potato dauphinous which was one of the nicest dishes I have eaten in a while. Chocolate pave for dessert and complimentary sweet treats as you ask for the bill. They even gave the lady a Rose! The prices for the quality of food are very very reasonable and you wouldn't find anywhere else in London. Would definitely recommend to try if you are a local or visiting on holiday. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great night!
