Well worth the short trip from Euston station to get a proper coffee for only £2.60. With the added advantage of a little Sherlock thrill for the location.

Full English breakfast was hot and plentiful. The pricing was surprisingly good for London.

I visited for breakfast since my hotel was nearby. The English breakfast was delicious and tasted like something my host family would have cooked for me when I was studying abroad in England a long time ago.

There are no restrooms, so please be careful.

It’s I bet one of the best places to get a breakfast and coffee around. The staff is really friendly and nice. The food is great. Recommended!

Just what I needed! A delicious full English breakfast with toast, served by lovely, friendly people. All of the food was prepared using quality ingredients and served with a smile. Perfect cappuccino too.

I found out that this shop, which is familiar from the drama, actually exists, so I went there to check it out! The appearance is just like the drama. I'm excited. It was empty since it had just opened. It's been a while since I had a full breakfast. The beans were especially delicious, and I put a lot of them on my toast. Plenty of volume! The unpretentious tea was very nostalgic and delicious. My heart, stomach, and body were all warm and satisfied♪

This happened to be open and near to where we were staying so we popped in for breakfast. Had no clue about the TV show connection but explains the tourists taking photos. Nice to find an old school greasy spoon Cafe that hasn’t been messed about with. Very friendly service, reasonably priced and a proper cooked breakfast, will definitely go back next time we’re in the area

Sherlock fans are in for a treat! When we visited, it seemed like there were a lot of local customers, both eat-in and take-out customers. The food was also delicious. I enjoyed that it was named after Sherlock.

Good breakfast and good coffee, fast and friendly service and very good prices especially considering the location..£10 for a full English with a coffee is great value.

We stopped here after an overnight train wanting some breakfast. Ordered cappuccino and croissants. The servers were friendly but what we received was only adequate. The croissants seemed exactly like the ones in Gregg's in terms of both taste and assistance, but the price was much higher. The coffee was overheated so the flavor was lost. Disappointing start to the day.

I think as an BBC Sherlock fan is this a must. The workers were really friendly and it was even possibly to get a vegan breakfast. Really enjoyed it.

To be honest, it's not that delicious, but I think Sherlock fans will be satisfied just by going, just entering, and just eating. It was reasonably priced for London (quite expensive compared to eating out in Japan), and the madam was efficient. I visited for breakfast, and it was easy for even one person to come in. The way the tables were arranged was different from the drama.

Was so grateful to find decent food on my trip to London and Scotland. AND Greek owners. Delicious! Highly recommend. The spaghetti Carbonara was heavenly.

Came for the "Baker Street," stayed for the sandwiches. Of course I popped by Speedy's because of Sherlock, but it wouldn't make sense to not actually go in and sit down for a bite. Had a vegetarian sandwich which was quite tasty. Staff were also super friendly. It took a bit longer than expected for the sandwich, but I chalk that up to the time of day I showed up.

The food was delicious! We had a “Full English breakfast” and “Sherlock breakfast”.

The most vile full English I've ever had in my life. I have absolutely no idea where these positive ratings come from, they just have to be fake. I'm counting down the minutes and praying I don't get food poisoning. The bacon had zero taste which I didn't know was possible, felt like eating leather. Everything else came straight out of a can..The head waitress was just downright rude from the start when I asked if they had a toilet she just said: "no, no toilet for customers" and walked straight off. We were polite from the start and I never complained because I didn't see the point. As far as I can tell this isn't the original speedy's because they had to sell ita little while ago.Seems like it's just a tourist scam now although we didn't know about the Sherlock holmes connection before we went here

Really great atmosphere and very nice (and also cheap) food. We were very impressed, also by the very rustic service. Really “cool”. If we came to London again we would definitely go here again!!

Me and my gf came for quick lunch as we had to catch a train in 45 mins. We received our drinks and food in 10 mins roughly. The shop was fairly busy too. Coffee was very good price! Would recommend a quick breakfast/ lunch if you're short on time

The place is legendary because of the series... but the service is a little austere and the hygiene of the place is questionable... it seems more like a place for sandwiches... We ate regular… But we still messed up the order, because for sandwiches there was an eternal queue….

On a day trip to London to take in a west end show, we decided to visit Speedy’s as we are avid fans of Sherlock the tv series. We had lovely breakfasts and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only concern is that there isn’t a customer’s toilet and we had to visit a nearby hotel to ask permission to use their facilities.

Recently went to London for the first time, and having been a BBC Sherlock fan back in the day, I had to try out Speedy’s, and I’m glad I did. I got their mexican tuna melt on whole grain, and it was a very comforting meal. Overall I thought the place had a pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, and if I ever find myself in London again, I’m sure I’ll go back

This is a great independent cafe, so few of which survive in today’s London but in my London of 20 years ago were so plentiful it seemed. I popped in for scrambled egg on toast and a big cup of tea. Great breakfast menu. Lovely staff. Bang on breakfast. So much better than a trip to a soulless coffee chain at nearby Euston. Open at the unholy hour I arrived in London just off the sleeper train. The Sherlock thing is a lark, I hope it gives them lots of visitors keen to sample honest British cafe food. God bless Speedy’s and long may they continue in business.

Unpretentious diner, great for breakfast, hot drinks, and sandwiches. As a BBC Sherlock fan, I had to come here once during my trip to London as they filmed there. It was super busy, but the waitstaff made sure I got a table. Orders came out quick despite it being so busy. The food was a nice homecooked meal vibe. Met the owner/manager(?) when I asked if they still sold Speedy's merch since that was a big thing for BBC Sherlock fans, and though they sold out, he sold me a menu which I thought was sweet and hilarious. A great stop if you're in the area and hungry or a film buff.

During our London trip, we checked out many restaurants and breakfast places with good reviews, but we often left disappointed. Speedy was honestly one of the few that stayed true to its ratings. We went there every day during our stay. Even though the exterior could use some upgrades, you quickly forget about this once you enter the place. We tried the regular and chocolate croissants, as well as various sandwiches. They were all fresh and really delicious. Their cappuccino is also one of the best I've tried in the city. Not to mention the reasonable prices & the awesome, friendly service! An absolute must-try! 😊

We've been going to this place for the last eight years. It all started as a part of Sherlock BBC fan tour but later we grew to appreciate the quality of the food and the level of service. We ordered our first Sherlock breakfast in 2015 and the last (so far) - just 2 days ago. We are amazed at how anyone can provide such impeccable quality for such a long period of time. Very good place to eat! It is seen in Sherlock so the cast has visited and it was nice being there also. The service was good, food was good, and atmosphere is nice. They ran out of the bread we wanted and substituted without asking so that is something to expect. Great place to visit and enjoy! Thanks you, Speedys!

Very tiny, but really 👍🏻 ce little place. Had the Sherlock breakfast - scrambled, smoked salmon, mushrooms, avocado. Really tasty and not overly expensive. And of course various Sherlock pix on the walls. Would definitely return.

If you wanna have good and easy breakfast, I recommend the sandwiches and especially the crossaints at Speedy‘s. Good flat white coffee and a fair pricing. The staff is super friendly. And they have even some tables outside. Hint: If you like Sherlock Holmes… you eat next to his door. Cause the BBC Series has been recorded here.

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan you can eat here at reasonable prices and recognize some of the filmset. Interior decorated loosely with photos, and the juice is from Lidl.

A really nice little Café! Typical English breakfast and really tasty. They also have burgers, which looked really good. And for under £10 I can only recommended Also when you are a Sherlock fan, Speedy‘s place you need to visit!

It was not a bad place, and I had a bacon sandwich, which was quite greasy but pleasant enough. Staff sitting us moved this poor lady's table without asking her, whilst she was innocently eating her breakfast, just for us to be seated 😕 would have happily waited, lacking on the accommodation side.

Watch out Asian pals! There is a french(?) lady might tease you to speak “full english”(i think my english is quite alright) and almost throw forks and knifes in front you in a very humble way. Other than that, the food and the chef was nice.

We stumbled upon this Cafe while looking for a place to sit down and catch up while having food. Imagine our surprise when we found out it was actually the Sherlock cafeteria! Since it was peak hours we had to wait a bit but I would say it was worth the wait. We had Tricolori Focaccia and Chicken and Bacon Wrap which were very tasty. The Focaccia was soft and flavourful. The service we received was good and the staff was approachable and polite. Due to time crunch that's all we could try but I'm inclined to try out other dishes from here as well the next time I visit.

Petit restaurant café mignon mais je ne sais pas si on a pas eu de chance ou quoi, mais notre serveuse ce jour là n’était pas très agréable et nous a mis assez mal à l’aise. De plus, il n y’a pas de toilette. Lors de notre prise de commande, nous avons demandé de l’eau mais nous n’avons pas été servi. Heureusement que nous avions une bouteille d’eau avec nous.

Surprising little cafe we chanced upon while looking for the filming location for the BBC Sherlock Holmes show. We had the English breakfast which was priced reasonably (£6-7), and it was delicious! Friendly service too!

Natürlich ein ganz wichtiger Ort, wenn man Fan von Sherlock Holmes ist und die neuen BBC-Filme liebt. Links die Tür zur Filmwohnung, ja und dann die Bar rechts. Kleiner gemütlichlicher Ort mit angehmen Preisen. Nach dem Shooting an und mit der Tür sollte man mindestens noch einen Kaffee im Speedy's zu sich nehmen!

Das zweite Mal wieder da. Vor einigen Jahren waren hier noch die Sherlock Touristen gewesen. Kaffee und Frühstück super. Bedienung nett und freundlich. Sandwich mit italienischer Salami unschlagbar. Preislich auch nicht überteuert wie in anderen Cafés. Werde beim nächsten London Besuch wieder hier sein.

We visited Speedys Cafe on our last day and I so wish we had discovered this awesome little sit-down Cafe earlier. Very friendly service, great food and reasonable prices. We have eaten in many places since we arrived in the UK and this is by far the best. Even the coffee has a strength of flavour without the bitterness. Thank you for an enjoyable experience Speedys.
