The best restaurants serving British food in London

Exceptionally well priced drinks on a Friday night. Good atmosphere inside, and all staff were working ridiculously hard indeed.

I cannot believe people are giving this place 5 stars. The wooden floors have lumps of some kind of black gunge on them and the overall place looks shabby. We went there for lunch before catching a train to Gatwick. We were there for 12 o’clock when it opened so it wasn’t busy I ordered a club sandwich for me and a rump steak for my wife. After 40 minutes We asked where our food was as we had a train to catch and the barman said it shouldn’t be long. 5 minutes later it came. However the steak looked like it had been microwaved and was really tough. We complained and the barman just took the steak away and we heard no more. When we came to pay our bill I asked what had happened about the steak. The answer was an offer of 10% off the bill! I said this was ridiculous as the steak was sent back but I was told that she had eaten the chips! and the barman had tasted the steak and it was fine and maybe there was a problem with my wife’s teeth!!! I asked who was in charge and the manageress came out and increased the to 30% off!!! I said I can’t believe their attitude and was told that I was the one with a bad attitude. Finally I flatly refused to pay for a steak that we had sent back. This place is a dump and the staff have a ridiculous attitude to any complaint. Avoid at all costs. I see previous bad reviews of this place have received insulting replies from the management so I am expecting the same.

Came here with friends snd the staff were lovely. They looked after us snd gave amazing suggestions for food. I would definitely recommend

Vine aquí como un grupo de 10. Todo el personal era amable y servicial. El servicio era bueno, pero no apresurado. ritmo El menú es pequeño pero la comida era muy agradable. Las pizzas eran excelentes. Sólo una cerveza rubia para escoger, pero fue así que estaba contento Peroni. Me gustaría volver.

I treated my friend to the Shepherd Neame 241 margarita deal. Our server was called Justina and she was so friendly and welcoming. She made excellent Margaritas. This was my friend's first experience of this cocktail and she loved it so much, she wanted to buy another. Justina encouraged her to sign up to Shepherd Neame, so we could get another 241. So great customer service plus great for the brewery. We also got chatting to the manager Alessia, who was also really friendly. She also told me about the charity that Shepherd Neame currently support, which is the air ambulance Kent/ Surrey. A great cause and a lovely pub with lots of space, so do visit.

Nestled onto a traffic junction Ye Olde Swiss Cottage yells trap de tourism. From the title including Ye Olde to the architectural frontage, you know this isn't the norm for Finchley or Camden Town. The external beer garden has been made to look as good as it can given its location between two busy arterial roads. I chose to go inside as the emissions might be a little lower. The inside space was welcoming and quite pleasant, roomy with plenty of table space and seating. Where the venue took the Swiss stereotype too far for me was with the pricing. A pint of cider and a small (small side dish) of tomato salad came in at £14 .. even Heidi would have been shocked.

Visited the Cathedral then went for a coffee. Busy cafe with food out on the counter. It all looked very nice. We just had coffees which were excellent. Seating inside and out.

A very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise NOT going here for a Sunday roast. - We had to wait 45 for our order to be taken. - the Diet Coke tasted of nothing, how do you get Coke wrong? - The food was average at best. The Roast potato's were probably the worst I’ve ever had, tasteless and rubbery. The beef was badly over cooked and very chewy. Not satisfied at with my experience.

Brilliant place for a chilled drink and the food is deliciously well made. The staff are amazing Shout out to Maddie, Lucas and Laura, who took extra awesome care of us.

Food was tasty and arrived quickly. Vegan burger was a bit greasy but Salmon nicoise was very tasty. Ambiance ok - you are where you are so don’t expect too much - but dog policy is a bit confusing.

Food is nice and well presented The service is good and attentive But I feel it was a bit overpriced for the portions, as I said, tasty but small portions

We went on a Friday and were seated by a girl who was serving nearby tables. Drinks were delayed for 20 minutes. A second person brought us the drinks by when we were very hungry and desperate to order (8 pm). A third person took our order and left. Came back 3 times saying items were no longer available. We reordered and waited 40 minutes by when we got up and paid for our drinks. This third member of staff also left (end of their shift). To the shame of the staff they didn’t even think to give us free drinks as a na apology. We left hungry. The food was being brought in to our table the moment we were leaving the pub. Ridiculously overpriced, understaffed (?) and poor service. We live locally, have been going there for the past 4 years and seen it deteriorate. Never going back again for food there.

Very disappointed with the pub this evening!! Food not that great!! No water on the bar as before! No game machines!! Had to send our food back due to it being cold!!

Nous étions de passage dans cette ville, et l’endroit avait l’air agréable. Or il s’avère que c’est un gros piège à touriste. Le serveur ultra désagréable, même xénophobe. Nous n’avons même pas était accueillis. Nous avons commandé des bières et à manger. Le serveur nous a dit enlever les bières du fait qu’il y avait des mineurs, or nous n’avons pas fait de mal. Nous n’avons même pas été rembourser!! Ne venez pas ici c’est une arnaque, honte !!

Personalemten lo consiglio, ho mangiato un buon tipico Sunday Roast nonostante fossero le 7 passate. Mi spiace leggere recensioni negative con argomenti non c'entrati, è un pub non un ristorante.
