I reserved a table for dining at 8.30pm on a Friday night but turned up to be told that the kitchen was closed. The advertised kitchen hours on the website are 12:00-22:00, so needless to say, we were very disappointed. Considering that the booking I made online was for dining, one of the team members could have emailed or phoned ahead of our arrival to let us know that they would not be serving food, which would have left us time to make other arrangements.

If you want great customer service (very friendly and helpful staff), very good food (tasty and decent portions), and AMAZING cocktails (margarita 10/10) highly recommend going here. We didn't realise it was happy hour, and bonus that every drink we had was really top class. After having so many bad margaritas, it was so refreshing to come here! Atmosphere in the pub was also good- old time classic tunes which we had a boogie too. Special thanks to...Rosie, Chelsea, Fillip, Beth- had to get there names at the end of the night to say special thanks. Nothing felt too much, everything was served with a smile, as as mentioned above, so so tasty... Keep making amazing cocktails!!

I went in about half an hour after opening and bought a pint of draught beer. It felt warm as I carried it back to my seat - ditto as I drank it. Yes, I ought to have taken it back, but I decided to give it a second chance, and just mentioned the temperature to the girl behind the bar. I was assured that it was meant to be served at room temperature! It was then obvious that the beer had been sitting in the lines from the cellar since closing time the day before, without the stale beer drawn through and discarded. The Brownswood is an attractive pub, but if it's a good pint you're after, then wait until sales have built up and the warm beer sold to somebody else.

Really was terrible- I eat most things, but this was inedible. Mash- stupid amount of salt. Lumpy. No butter. Pie- soggy bottom, and meat poor quality mince Floor covered in sawdust, so went all over my belongings. From observation it looks like tourists come here for a ‘local experience’, but I worry that they are leaving thinking that all local London food is like this! With a bit of extra care and attention, it could be much better.

Under staffed and staffed by underskilled. Waited 12 minutes to be server in a bar with 10 people in, while 2 or the 3 people working, collected glasses. Only then to be told that we were waiting at the wrong part of the unmarked and unattended bar. There are many more friendlier and more attractive venues to frequent in Tooting. Try the Castle or Cocktails in the Broadway Market for a friendly smile and helpful, attentive staff.

We went in for late lunch and drinks. The atmosphere is nice and a group of people also came in whilst we were there, voices carry. Food and drinks were as expected in pub at reasonable prices.
