We recently had our wedding at little Nan's bar in deptford. We could not have asked for a better experience both in terms of the communication beforehand and the execution on the night. The space is phenomenal and everyone commented on how original and fun it was. We had many people who were with young children and there was so much available to entertain them. For later on in the night, the dance floor is great fun complete with a giant anchor! Drinks are delicious and you even get a chocolate bar to keep you going!!! All the food that was served all evening was perfect and just what you need to keep you going through a night of dancing. We cannot thank the whole team enough for making the day so so special.

What an amazing & unforgettable day we had at Little Nans 2.0 for my sons first birthday. We hired Aunties Ballroom & it was everything I wanted & more. Wonderful welcome, attentive staff, out of this world cocktails & pizzas & every last person there had the best day. I cannot recommend Little Nans enough & I can't wait to go back. Anyone wanna babysit?

Service is terrible and the place is filthy. I can’t comment on the food as it’s not a place I would choose to eat in. But I absolutely love it here! It’s quirky, has a wicked vibe, and is full of fun. I pop in from time to time for a drink, and recently watched the England semi final. Great night!

I hosted my 30th birthday party at Auntie's Ballroom in Little Nan's 2.0 and I couldn't be happier with the space and the service! Tristan and the team are so friendly and welcoming and all night my guests were commenting on how amazing the place is. I almost went with a standard pub, and I'm so glad that I chose to go with somewhere a little more exciting instead. It has such a great vibe and that made the biggest difference. Tristan was incredibly accommodating in the weeks leading up to the party, letting me come have a look at the space and being fully flexible when it came to timings, layout, music etc etc. I had a bunch of questions and requests and he always got back to me quickly and made the whole thing so fun and easy. It's completely free to book for SE London residents which is an unbelievably good deal considering how wonderful the space is. I'm so so glad I chose Little Nan's as my bday venue, I had a fantastic night!! X

We celebrated our babies first birthday (7 babies celebrated together) in the new Little Nan's 2.0 and it was incredible. We hired the Aunties Ballroom, such great decor, lots of fun vibes, great cocktails, and the babies had a blast with the sensory overload decor and teddies. Booking was easy and we could play our own music. We could also open the shutters to let the sun in as it was such a fabulous day. Totally recommend for a family event. Thanks Tristan & team xx

Came here 2 years ago, had the best cocktails, really quirky and laid back. Sadly it has become an absolute rip off and the worst cocktails I have ever had. The place is beyond filthy, even the staff look filthy. There is one unisex toilet, no lock on the door and no toilet seat, people were clearing urinating on the floor. Don’t waste your money

This place used to be good but I don’t know what happened!!!! I ordered chicken strips for £5 and was served some soggy, tough iceland frozen goujons 😷 my friend had to wait over half an hour for a pint of beer, when she complained apparently it had been served to another table, she was not given a new one but was served the one that had been sitting in the other bar all that time. it tasted terrible and completely different to the one I had of the same beer. The staff were sullen and the music was stuck in 2012. Boring and a rip off!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Do not waste you’re money here. The venue is dirty, smells like dog and the food is Mr Kipling cakes! We paid £52 a head for a bottomless brunch and we all felt unsafe - we would have left had we not pre paid! A man came in who was clearly homeless/high walking round asking each table for money. A table left after not eating their food and a group of people came in and took their plates to eat the left overs! I have never, in all my the times coming to London for a bottomless brunch have NEVER experienced something like this. The decor is just weird and the seating is filthy, I don’t want to know what happened on the chair I sat on….best not to think about it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

AVOID! Absolutely disgusted. Me and my friend paid 40 quid each for the “bottomless brunch”. This was our first visit to little nans and i was absolutely appalled. This place or “shack” tries to come across as quirky and independent but in reality it just screams I’m cutting corners to get as much profit as possible and it’s genuinely embarrassing. Where do i even start…I was expecting British food as that is what was advertised when i ask for the menu, they say there isn't one. Im then like okay, maybe the food will still be decent. What turns up? An array of pound land shop bought sausage rolls, celery sticks and pack lunch chocolate bars.Im like you must be joking me? Then a bit later a cold fish finger sandwich (HALF) turns up? The Prosecco turns up in a gardening pot, an actual gardening pot, not even a bucket. No one came round to give us more drinks…despite it being a bottomless brunch, leading us to ask several times for more. But the poor server was rushed off his feet, hire more staff and stop over working people. Honestly the owner (Tristan is his name) of this place must be absolutely raking it in, we paid 40 pound each for one bottle of prosecco 2 bloody marys and freezing cold sausage rolls. If the food is “picky bits” advertise it as that, not British food. The cutting corners to reduce costs is so blatant, its not even quirky its just embarrassing.

Private Hire? RUN, run, run as fast as you can. Tristan, who runs this bar, is possibly one of the worst business owners I've ever met. I tried to hire this venue for my 30th next year, but I've cancelled it as Tristan is possibly one of the most lackadaisical bar owners I've ever come across in my 10 years of event and hospitality work. He quoted me £2400 for private hire on a Saturday night. He then changed it three weeks later to £2800. When I tried to negotiate, he ignored my emails, until I was forced to concede that if I wanted that venue, I'd have to settle on a higher price. Fine. A risk I was willing to take on. But then, he changed the cancellation policy. 3 weeks, he tells me, or no money back on the £800 deposit that was being held on my card. When I paid the deposit, he then came back and said the terms have changed and it's 4 weeks. The google listing says that bar closes at 11pm, he told me 12am, then the booking said 11.30pm. I've read other peoples reviews that said he changed the close time on the DAY OF THE BOOKING. This was the final straw and not a risk I was willing to take. He is a charleton, and yes, perhaps he has cornered the market of quirky little venues in SE London and so feels he can get away with this, but I would honestly run as far away as you can from giving him any of your trust or money. A Wednesday cocktail? Fine. An impromptu night out? Fine. But otherwise, don't bother. I sent him a very long email on the 20th November and in true to his nature fashion, he's just not bothered to reply. So I've cancelled my booking and will go somewhere else.

Pretty decor, but totally overpriced for what you get. Waited an hour , before getting finger food, sausage rolls, falafels, and cheap biscuits. Then in the last 30 minutes we each got half a fish finger sandwich! was very tasty but a half?! Came out totally sober as the cocktails were sadly lacking in alcohol. Please don't waste your money here. Also the waitress seemed to have a few worries on her shoulders, miserable

Was not possible to order via waiters, you had to scan the QR code and order. Tricky if your phone's battery is flat. No menu either, it is all online. Felt impersonal and too entitled. Shame for the decor felt special and therefore the atmosphere felt warm and friendly. Drinks were great! Did however not like the fact that ordering was online and that we could not pay cash.

We arrived around 10 minutes early for our 4pm booking (we wanted to fit in a visit on our short London trip and already had evening plans). When we found the bar, a man was setting up benches outside. My husband asked when he was opening up and received a curt 'four'. After this, the man continued to set up benches in silence. We stood and chatted to each other in the courtyard for 10 minutes, waiting for the bar to open. At 4pm, the man unlocked the doors and began to drag out notice boards/easels. He made no eye contact and did not engage us at all, despite setting these up a few feet away from where we were standing. The man then started to roll a stack of beer kegs into the bar one by one and then disappeared inside. After 10 minutes, I went into the bar and lingered in the doorway but couldn't see or hear anyone inside. We decided to give up and leave as it was so unwelcoming and we felt so uncomfortable. Whoever was working should have been able to see there was a 4pm reservation and been prepared for customers at opening time. I'm really disappointed with the way this turned out as I was looking forward to the visit after seeing photos and the website. We thought that with the bar's theme, there would be a warm welcome and a cosy, fun atmosphere. Instead, we schlepped out to Deptford from central London for a very frosty reception, and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone

My publishing company Write Bloody UK have thrown 2 book launches here and are soon to throw a third event. Both times so far have been great; the cocktails are delicious (Chief Deptford Girl being my fave 🍒) and it’s always fun to see our guests in awe of the lights. Plenty of stuff to look at, e.g. the giant random and very real traffic light. I find the team friendly and responsive too. No complaints, except I wish it were bigger!

This quirky bar seems intriguing , but do not be fooled by the trickery of social media. First let’s start with the impossible staff to reach that reply days after inquiry . Spare yourself the train fare they do not operate on the hours as advertised according to their website. After yes two trips that we finally awaited their opening at 5pm when the website said open at 12pm, the bar wasn’t set up. Upon awaiting the aloof staff continued setting up benches in pouring raining .We entered in the non heated drafty rooms and browsed at the menu not very appetizing. The carpets I believe to never have been vacuumed nor any cleaning product to ever have visited this establishment. Not a welcome nor asked if we wanted a drink in a fabric room of filth , we walked away . Do yourself a favor - about face quickly !

We threw a post-pandemic party for a large group of relatives and friends in Granddad's Shed at Little Nan's Bar - Tristan and the team were so helpful, patient and keen to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves, which they were! The guests loved the quirky, kitsch decor and foodwise there were particular compliments for the scotch eggs, vegan sandwiches, and cake! The teapot cocktails were pretty lethal, but delicious. They accommodated the photo booth we hired and we used the outside space too, which was lovely on a summer evening. One of the staff organised us into a group photo which I hadn't even thought of doing and it's a great souvenir of a fantastic night. I'm SO pleased we chose there and would recommend highly for a fun night out or private party.

Booked bottomless brunch for 4ppl. Was limited to 2 drinks at a time when we were a table for 4 people which meant two of us didn’t get our drinks until the other two were finished which defeats the point of bottomless if you can’t even all have one drink at a time! The food was basically party food you get in Aldi enough for three people and then we were served fish finger sandwiches and a bowl of cheesy chips to share between 4. Not worth the cost at all. Had two drinks each and were not satisfied with the food at all. The decor is cool but there is a limit to novelty for the price paper plates, no hand towels in the toilets and leaving still hungry with only two drinks was unfortunately not worth it especially when you had to pay service charge up front!

I have been going to Little Nans for about 4 Years, I usually love their brunches. But disappointing to see a decline in their offering and services. Mandatory service charge which I think is unfair given the amount the brunch costs! £45 + 10% Service Charge (£49.50!). London is so densely populated for brunches, so the offering is endless. But I always loved going to little Nans for the decor, lovely staff and great atmosphere. But all this seems to have changed. Decor seems to be reduced, staff seem disinterested and food offering seems a lot less than before. Sad to say, I won’t be returning.

I am a publisher and I held my poet's book launch at Grandad's Shed as a private hire. 10/10 highly recommend. Everything ran smoothly, the decor was a hit with everyone, cocktails and food were served efficiently by excellent staff who were respectful of the readings and left us to it. Grandad's Shed looks deceivingly snug but all 68 of us fit comfortably and it was a cosy, intimate vibe. Can't wait to come back. Also strong cocktails, good value for money and got me nice and tipsy quick (which was the vibe I was going for on this particular evening) :)

If you book ahead for your birthday they will design you a free cocktail based on your preferences- probably a bid to make you care less about the rest of your experience. The atmosphere is very charity shop meets hoarder's home with a weird collection...

Went to little nans for a friends birthday. We paid £35 EACH for a bottomless brunch. Brunch consisted of 2 small oven pizzas between 14 of us (advertised as ‘stone baked’ but looked and tasted like something from Lidl), a small plate of cocktail sausages...

The place and idea behind it are really cool (grandma’s house), however the cocktails are quite poorly made (loads of juices and no taste), would recommend it once but wouldn’t go back again. Loads of irritating hipsters too.

Had the best time celebrating my 31st birthday at Little Nan's Bar in Catford (Broadway Saloon). Massive thank you to Clare, who helped make everything so special... We had the place booked out for 45 people, each with prosecco and vegan cupcakes (which were divine)....

£24 for a pretty crappy cocktail that was in a teapot. Everything seemed a bit dirty and broken. It was all a bit Meh. Much better places near by.

So disappointed after hearing such great things. We were told we’d be sitting in Grandad’s shed when we booked (due to space) which was fine. What we didn’t know is that essentially you’re sitting in one of the arches with the door wide open and...

I believe the place is called Madeleine`s (they gave me a card with this name). I had a brioche and a coffee; they were both below average. You would aspect from those interdependent shops to have higher quality of food but unfortunately not. The food and beverages are better in chains like Pret-a-Manger or Starbucks

Ordered caramelised onion tart.was swimming in a caramel like sticky sauce that it had been doused in, it was so sweet- think treacle tart- it was inedible. No refund despite not eating it- basically £16 for a salad. Awful meal awful service.
