I had a birthday biscuit delivered to my home for my birthday last month, unfortunately, although beautifully decorated, the biscuit had no taste and was actually stale…. I kept the box (as it’s very pretty) and sell by date was the 7th of December 2023!?!? Personally I wouldn’t now use the birthday home delivery service based on my experience as a receiver. 🥲🥲 it was a beautiful biscuit, but the taste didn’t match the look sadly and I’m sure these are not cheap either!

Biscuits were adorably decorated but tasted terribly. So disappointing. I am surprised that there was no specific taste, just blahness, and as other reviewers stated, Cardboard! (So true). This business solely focuses on decorating and even have classes, but if your looking for a delicious biscuit you must go somewhere else.

I have wanted to try these biscuits for well over a year now. I bought a box and a tin from Selfridges and all of the biscuits tasted awful. They were bland and tasted stale despite having a shelf life of a few more months. They were discounted and I'm so glad because had I spent full price on these, I would have been even more disappointed. They look beautiful but taste so mid. Party rings taste nicer than these and I'm not exaggerating. Do not waste your money if you're looking for nice biscuits. Only buy these if you prefer visuals over taste.

Dont waste your money. This was a treat for my grandaughters birthday and was such a disappointment. The place is soul less. The diy icing experience really is diy. A lady spent 3 minutes explaining the piping bags and off she went never to return. No one else was in the main cafe and none of the staff even asked if were getting on ok. They couldnt give a stuff. No interaction no friendliness nothing except take your money. Do yourself a favour watch a youtube video and do your own. Using the piping bags they give your icing is never going to be anything like theirs!!

I thought we were done with expensive tourist traps in London but this place holds the flag high. Fake prebottled and badly served cocktails that are being charged at hotel bar rates!!! Worst part was when "waitress" was questioned about it, the response was rude with abundant "take it or leave it" attitude. Her response was "this is not a bar and this is the way we do them here". If it's not a bar, don't advertise cocktails. If it's not a bar, don't charge bar prices. If you're not into customer service then get a vending machine and stop dealing with customers all together. I didn't try the bisquits...it seemed too much effort for the "waitress". Avoid at a costs.

This was a perfect afternoon tea on our last day in London. Our taxi was running late and when we called to let them know they were really kind about it. The cafe itself is adorable and the tea was delicious! We had a vegetarian in our party who also had a food allergy and they accommodated her perfectly. We found great gifts in the shop as well. Highly recommend!!

I received a voucher for school of icing and had a really wonderful time! The shop and cafe are super cute with a huge selection of beautifully iced biscuits. The staff were really helpful and friendly, plus the lady who ran the icing class was great teacher. The class size felt perfect and everyone had enough space, the 2 hour time slot was also great as you were kept busy so it went quickly but you didn’t feel rushed. You got a free apron and drink with the ticket plus the 9 biscuits you iced so I think it’s good value for £90. It was a really fun thing to do and I would definitely recommend it. I did it for fun and have absolutely no baking or icing skills, so whether you’re a beginner like me or more seriously looking to improve your icing it’s great for everyone! The reason for dropping one star is that the voucher was almost impossible to send! The process is really awful. My mum bought the voucher so they sent her a letter in the post with a number and I had to contact the boutique to book my class. The boutique were ridiculously hard to contact - days spent trying to get through on the phone and waiting for replies to emails. Once I got through I had to give them the number and wait to receive another code (why can’t they give you think to begin with) so I could book online myself. The process with vouchers needs work for sure.

We went for a DIY icing session and it was lovely. My son sat still for nearly two hours and they were very understanding that his icing was an inch thick in places. We all came away with lovely biscuits and had a fabulous time. The only thing that let it down slightly was the price - at around a fiver a biscuit I expected them to be a bit bigger. I'd still go again and recommend it though.

I received a present from my cousin which included personalised iced biscuits. They looked amazing and clearly decorated by talented artisan bakers. However, sadly, the biscuits were borderline edible. It was like eating iced cardboard Lovely idea for a gift but I was disappointed that my cousin paid for a quality product and probably didn’t get the quality they would have expected. Summary, look lovely, taste like cardboard

We had a very disappointing experience today. I paid GBP 36 for my daugher and her friend to decorate 3 ready made cookies each. No instruction was given and we had to ask for simple things like icing and a utensil to spread the icing. We went here for afternoon tea (£30 per head) having seen it listed under ‘different‘ afternoon tea venues in London and were sorely disappointed. It is an annual summer treat for my daughter and I. It’s not really a cafe- just an (admittedly) lovely (although seriously overpriced) iced biscuit shop with 3 tiny tables squished into the corner. Two were already occupied with children icing biscuits, which is their main USP, but we had to virtually climb over them to reach our table. The cakes and scones were presented beautifully on a tiered stand, and there was certainly a lovely selection of very attractive and yummy sweet treats, but no sandwiches (probably my fault for making assumptions as they’re not actually mentioned on the website, but at £30 per head not an unreasonable assumption??). Even with a very sweet tooth there is a limit to the amount of sugary treats one can eat at once. Very disappointing!Even more disappointingly the service was very poor- at no point were we asked how things were, and twice I had to get up and climb over the people on the next table to ask for more tea.A great place for taking children to ice biscuits or even to go for coffee and cake, but advertising an afternoon tea experience for £30 is very misleading as this is just not delivered.

I went with an enthusiastic 4-year-old to do the "DIY" (do-it-yourself) session. We were seated with a smile at a sparkling clean table and presented with a wide range of biscuits, a bowl of small icing bags, each a different colour, and edible sparkles for the finishing touch. There was a brief explanation after which we were each to take any 3 biscuits and decorate them. A member off staff periodically came by to see if all was well and to ask if we wanted anything. It was great fun for me and even more for my young companion. When we were done, the biscuits were taken away to be 'finished' so I ordered tea and cake for me and a couple of macaroons for the little one. All of it was excellent and although the shop was busy, mainly with tourists, we were well looked after.

We were lucky to sit at one of the two tables outside. Good coffee. The biscuits were beautifully iced and tasty. It is a popular place in the afternoon with young children being picked up from school. Pity this was not in the neighbourhood 35 years ago when I lived a few doors up the street. Sometimes a biscuit is what you want rather than a cake. It was busy so I did not see what else is available.

My three children had this past Friday off school so we came up to London for the day, starting in Notting Hill. I knew Biscuiteers was in the area and suggested to them that we check it out. My two boys (9 and 11) rolled their eyes at me...little did they know.We chose to do the DIY biscuit decorating - 3 biscuits each (their choice), an assortment of icing colours and sprinkles. They took their time decorating cars, dinosaurs, tea pots, castles, etc. The biscuits were then put into the oven for the icing to harden. I had a coffee while they decorated. In the meantime the woman working, Christina (apologies if that's spelled wrong), was absolutely lovely. She explained to my three how to use the pipping bags, engaged with them (and me), helped other customers. To read other TA reviews saying the opposite of the staff is actually surprising because *this* was the customer service I long for as an expat living in the UK.I had thought we might stop in for a few biscuits, I didn't realise we'd spend over an hour decorating and having such a fun time. The presentation box is cute, they liked having their own bag to carry. It's not cheap, but it was so worth it. We'll be back.

I have a grand idea ...Stop apologizing for terrible service and just fix it.The bottom line is this lil bakery is both whimical on the outside decor and deliciously yummy on the inside with their biscuits and goodies they provide. The service is very underwhelming and at times just plain rude ..the staff is well yawn yawn. This little gem of a place could be so much more, people do not mind paying high prices when they receive an outstanding product and more importantly an excellent guest experience but that is not the case.I will bet if you train your people to go the extra mile your business would increase 3 fold. Look at high end dept. stores why would you go there? Maybe they remember your name or smile and bring your bag around or simply Thankyou for shopping there and wish you a nice day. Remember the way you feel when you go into a store with exceptional service .What sticks with you and why do you want to return?when you can answer these questions maybe you can then fix the problemMichelle Hermes

I visited here today with my Mum to ice some biscuits. The shop is very small but beautiful and the products look great. We were the only ones in the store but the staff were not very attentive. We were offered a drink at the start, but were left feeling a little awkward when a staff member working at a table nearby took a difficult phone call. I was hoping for a little bit more when it came to the icing of the biscuits, perhaps a little bit of guidance and some inspiration. I really think that this could be a great place but we didn't feel very comfortable during our stay. I was really looking forward to visiting as I love the biscuits and the whole concept of the store.

we rang the day before and was told could not book the drop in Icing only to get there and told.we should have booked as it was busy...The shop appearance is a little tired from outside and when paying premium prices style needs to match substance, displays with inconsistent pricing etc...sat at small table to Ice some biscuits and was bought scant amounts of icing in bags and biscuits...problem was taupe, dark blue ,sludgy green bright yellow really don't help creativity and bags were cold and thick...Told you can only.do line piping. As flooding would.mean biscuits needed to go into ovens for drying....only to have to hang about for line piped biscuits to go in oven and a wait.for us anyway...Did 3 biscuits between us as my partner was bored and felt the website had been misleading...member if staff told us we looked like we were having a good time and we said we were not and why...she sent for manager who initially appeared unfriendly but warmed when we said we were not actually co complaining just responding to the staffs acertion.....and offered us complimentary coffee however we were subsequently charged for this. Nothing was really bad but we were disappointed at the slight miss representation and had too change tubes and had a lengthy walk to get to a shop and I guess for the effort it took it really wasn't worth it ....sorryx

Found it very difficult to find Biscuiteers from Notting Hill Gate station, but a nice atmosphere inside. Very busy and small cafe, but lovely scones, sandwiches, and the battenberg and macaroons were delicious. I found the biscuits crumbly and dry but they looked very cute!

The shop is super cute, well decorated and I have to say it's a writers dream because it's so detailed. I expected more out of it. I honestly couldn't tell you the flavor of the macaroon I tried and the cookie was very hard. We really enjoyed the gingerbread queenie though, I would definitely go back for more of those.

Visited our daughter for coffee and cake. The chocolate log usually a festive favourite, was full of cinnamon, so disappointing. Our coffees were good but trying to pay was shameful. I stood in a queue with customers buying biscuits whilst behind the counter the staff bumped into each other spilling coffee and trying to serve seated customers. Would we return , no! Three coffees, two cakes and three un-iced biscuits for nearly £30!!!

Thank you Biscuiteers for your apology which is warmly accepted and gratefully received, I actually cried tears of joy! Thank you for your orange flower chocolate cake, now I understand what all the fuss is about! The cake is delicious, the sponge is perfect, the jam layer is perfect and tastes supreme. The icing is artful and the cake is very moreish! The cake has a very clean taste, it is very clean tasting in that there is no artificial or chemical after taste. I adore the tin it arrived in. Thank you Notting Hill Team for your assistance, time and attention. You have some new customers for life, we look forward to purchasing oodles of your goodies on-line. x

August this year I had a 20% offer and a £10 voucher, as I live in Cheshire I tried to place an order online... Was advised then patronised haughtily by customer service staff who almost 'guffawed'..That I couldn't possibly use both discounts together, someone should tell them that a fake posh telephone voice does not impress or equate to a conducive helpful call neither does the pretence induce a feeling of trustworthiness. I was intending to spend £140... Needless to say they lost the order. This week I was in London and thought I would give Biscuiteers another chance hoping the previous experience was just a blip.Well quite clearly not. Biscuits shelf edge label £3.50 but coming upon on till £4.95, explanation given that the biscuit was loaded with icing!!! Nowhere was the higher price to be found. The boxes which the biscuits were actually in were £3.00 at the till... again not at all priced. The 15% discount on Christmas products was not awarded at the till, when I asked for it to be applied to my purchases I was quizzed as to how I knew about the discount as 'we are not actively promoting the discount yet' bizarrely on the booklet they sent to me it's on the front page. Staff haughty again, lack of displayed pricing blamed on management. Querying the price of the £3.50 biscuits charged at £4.95 I was told that she would do me a 'favour' and apply the Christmas 15% reduction to the £4.95 cost reducing the cost to £4.22 a lot more than the £3.50 advertised. Judging by the reviews I'm not alone in my experience...perhaps with respect I suggest Harriet Hastings & or Stevie Congdon should spend some time at grass roots level again talking and teaching their staff or contact me to overhaul their PR and management... The art inspired premium individual niche product is too good to allow it to fail due to a rude, complacent, haughty, ineffective sales and marketing team.

My friend and I had heard about the biscuiteers shop and were very excited to visit. We had afternoon tea there and we're very disappointed in the selection given. A sorry selection of very small cucumber finger sandwiches and salmon sandwiches with 1 small scone, macaroons, the driest cupcake I've ever tasted and an over-cocoaed brownie. The biscuits were pretty, but the recipe was nothing special, just a normal biscuit. We were crammed in a corner down the side of the shop, so it is no surprise no one came to our table after we were served to ask if everything was OK. I was unhappy paying £48 for this, and told the assistant as I paid I thought it was over priced for the very poor selection - even for London prices. At this point I'd expect an apology or some solution, but all I got was a reluctant 'ok, I'll tell them downstairs'.We go for afternoon tea a lot, and this was the worst I've ever had. I expected afternoon tea to cost around £25 per person in London, but for this I'd expect a selection of 3 or 4 flavours of sandwich and a good quality of baking. Honestly, don't bother going for afternoon tea. The shop is good to look in if you're around notting hill, but go elsewhere for afternoon tea.

I was unlucky enough to receive these ghastly overpriced feeble excuse for biscuits”. To call them biscuits is wrong as biscuits should be crunchy and buttery. I can quite honestly say they are the worse biscuit I have ever eaten. The tin they were presented in was so cheap I nearly lost a finger from the nasty metal. I complained having come to the conclusion that this must have been a bad batch.I asked for a refund and was told to post my biscuits back which I did. Once they received my tin I was refused a refund by an awful, rude and patronising girl as apparently they this is the usual muck they produce. Who on earth are these people as my 3 year old son is capable of baking something more edible than these vile things.I am not sure what was worse, the eating experience or the disgraceful obnoxious customer service.Do not buy unless you are gifting to someone you really do not like. But then again, don’t waste your money.

The biscuits are DELICIOUS. Worth every penny! Everyone in my family loves them and can eat a box of thirty in under five minutes. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the cakes and service but i personally haven't tried their cakes so I cant speak for them but i definetly recommend going in there if you can and getting a biscuit. There's also a gluten free option. The best biscuits are definetly their vanilla ones.

I do not recommend this company. I have read other reviews and i agree with the other complaints, very similar experiences, it's not just us! We ordered a chocolate cake for my daughters' 21st birthday, when it arrived it was inedible, no-one wanted to finish their slice. I phoned them up and explained the issues with the cake but they would not believe me! I returned the cake to them and only when they tried it themselves did they agree with the problems we had stated. They explained that the chef did not use the usual company recipe, they refused to give me a refund and offered me another cake for a future celebration, i declined. After constant emails and very long phone calls, i was eventually and begrudgingly given a refund. A decent and professional company would have given me another cake, - complimentary and a refund. They have lost a good customer. I do not recommend this company, they have the worst customer service i have ever come across, it beggars belief and their arrogance is beyond the pale.

I have to say was majorly disappointed!! My wife ordered a baby shower cake and some biscuits for her baby shower with specific instructions on what was wanted, she was horrified when she turned up the day before the shower to find the cake was the wrong colour both on the outside and the inside(was meant to be white on the outside and blue on the inside). My wife was distraught so they tried to bodge it up with some white icing. She was told my the sales associate that it was best not to put it in the fridge and to leave it out which was followed. An hour later my wife started to realize that the cake was beginning to melt and was falling apart it was a disaster!! She emailed the shop and the manager tried to pass the blame onto her by saying she should have put it in the fridge even though she was told not too. You would think the first thing you would do is apologize not try and say it's your fault. Anyway they refunded some of the money and made a basic cake which we picked up the next day but certainly would not recommend them if you need any cakes for any occasions very very bad service.

Popped in for tea and biscuits having used Biscuiteers to send postal gifts for a long time. The staff were friendly and the biscuits were so pretty, it was difficult to choose which one to pick. I also loved the red stripy teapot. The couple next to me were icing their own biscuits and I only wished we had more time so we could have done the same!I thought it was reasonably priced for the area and would certainly go back :)

Please be cautious when using Biscuiteers... I ordered a cake online from them for my son's christening and it was dry and not nice to eat - surely it's pretty difficult to make chocolate cake's that's not nice??! Their designs are pretty but don't have a great texture/flavour. When I asked for a partial refund, they refused, even though I explained that many of my 16 guests didn't want to finish their slices. Really poor customer service.

The place is small as we was assigned to sit upstairs ( they have private children party downstairs) . We booked and paid in advance for the afternoon tea ( £48 for 2 ) . I didnt expect it to be so good because im not really a fan of cookie, but then it turned out to be one of the best afternoon tea experience I ever have . The staff were a bit slow but very friendly. The scone was amazing, not too dry as so many other places but soft and moist. We visited on a friday afternoon and there was also vintage market on that day . Definitely reccomend to anyone who looks for fancy cookies, great scone and cozy atmosphere !!!

Went for a birthday afternoon tea. The place is quite small but nicely decorated and full of yummy biscuits! I booked for tea for a friend's birthday. On the whole it was a positive experience. The staff were friendly. The area allocated for us was a nice private space. It was perfect for us as we were a largish group of quite noisy ladies. If I'd have visited with just one other person, it might have seemed a bit odd. As it was, there was no room for other visitors. We enjoyed the tea experience. I have eaten a lot of afternoon teas and usually only tea is included in the price but I asked for the hot chocolate and they included this without a fuss. My friends who drank tea had to keep asking for a fresh pot and if this had been offered to us it would have been nice. The sandwiches were pretty sad, not very adventurous with their fillings. The scones were lovely but they were tiny and we only had 1 each. when I asked if we could have more, I was informed that they were freshly baked each day and there were none left, which was a shame. We had mixed feelings about the brownies and biscuits but I thought they were lovely and the decoration was exquisite. The macaroons were really good. The shop was really lovely and I bought a tin of biscuits as a gift and a Biscuiteers cake tin for myself. I'm not sure I would visit again as it wasn't perfect but we had a lovely afternoon.

£48 for a cream tea that includes:- four tiny, flavourless finger sandwiches with margerine and cucumber served on generic supermarket plain sliced white bread- four small corner cut sandwiches with cheap cream cheese and wafer thin slices of salmon on generic supermarket brown sliced bread that was slightly stale- four miniscule "scones" (I've never seen anything so small)- a selection of dry biscuits with far too much icing- two dry brownies with more dry biscuits placed on top- two glasses of prosecco- two pots of clipper tea (the nicest part of the "meal")- a seat on a table in a cubby hole that is far too small to be practical, and where you will be constantly asked to move so that the staff or other customers can get past.I understand that cream teas are more about the novelty and experience than the actual food, but I enjoyed neither! The food was terible. At a place called the Biscuiteers you would expect the biscuits to be exceptional, but this was not the case. Their focus is obviously on putting as much novelty icing on everything as they can - the flavour and texture of the biscuits is clearly just an afterthought, as they are dry and unpleasant, and what little flavour they have is drowned out by the cloying icing that is plastered on.The experience was also poor. This was not the fault of the staff, who were in fact very polite and well meaning. However, cramming tables into such a small area was never going to be conducive to an enjoyable dining experience. If you want to have a chuckle at some amusing novelty icing then this place is great, but for them to charge so much for clearly inferior quality produce is nothing less than a complete rip off. I would nearly go so far as to call it a scam! Either lower your prices or improve the produce and dining space!

Attempted to visit on Sunday evening, most of the tables were sticky and tv volume was at full blast. Very rough atmosphere. The two girls behind the counter had a bad attitude and didn’t know what they were doing. Asked for a bottle of Picpoul and didn’t know what it was. When I told her white wine she opened the fridge and I could see some already poured glasses, some wine inside the metal pourers in the middle of a messy fridge. It did put me off and left straightaway. They didn’t question it simply couldn’t care less.
