The best restaurants serving British food in London

Really enjoyed the breakfast here. Staff were polite and attentive. Food was good and fresh! This was at the ilford location

The food was overpriced and the Hot Drinks were cold and the service was poor not a very good selection of Cold Drinks as well

Terrible experience, mixed up our drinks;which was only two coffees. Lots of staff milling around doing nothing to help.

Qué lugar tan encantador. Fuimos en el desayuno y no nos decepcionó. Nos atendió una dama llamada Aurora y ella fue absolutamente fantástica. Si está buscando un lugar para sentarse afuera y disfrutar de una buena comida, no busque más. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Londres.

Almorcé con un amigo en esta sucursal. La comida estaba bien, menos la hormiga en la mesa, pero era solo una para poder perdonarla. El camarero fue muy amable, pero fue una especie de bofetada - tablero. Nos señaló la mesa, en lugar de llevarnos a ella. . . . Interesante. . . El piso tampoco era el más limpio. Una vez que llegó la comida, el camarero pensó que era una buena idea colocar el recipiente para los condimentos, con las salsas, sal y pimienta, etc. en el piso, ya que no podía molestarse en encontrar un lugar en la mesa. ¡Eso fue lo primero para mí! ! La jirafa normalmente es un buen lugar para comer, pero no volveré corriendo a esta sucursal en Blackheath.

Have been a few times now and the food is amazing, I have never had anything bad yet. All staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have loads of space to sit and enjoy you food. The little shop they have has a lot of lovely stuff for sale. Will Defo be back and Defo recommend.

Had a very poor lunch here with my wife. My food was sent back as it was not what was described on menu. My wife's food was barely warm. Apathetic staff. Will not be returning.

After giving up on our Indian restaurant we have visited for twenty years plus the waiter was rude. Shame after all that time so we go elsewhere now. Made an off chance to this lovely pub it was packed and most of the tables reserved. I wandered around and spoke to one of the staff who was super busy she was helpful despite being rushed off her feet. I asked her name Lashan, every pub should have a Lashan it’s not just about the place it’s the bar staff and staff I think make a place welcoming. All the girls were very good. This is a fabulous pub with lovely seating and design nice and cosy. It has a huge garden plenty of seating areas and also cabins you can sit in. This was an outside day in October but can imagine it’s well used in the summer plenty of parking. We ordered Sunday roast, for the money it was ok. Needs more potatoes and more veg. Pointed this out to Lashan who without asking brought more potatoes. I had the vegan wellington it was ok but not for me. The desserts were extra and very good indeed. I had vegan cheesecake it was fabulous. My partner had the apple pie custard very good. There are quiz nights and curry nights I will Definitely return. Let’s keep our pubs open and not lose anymore.

It’s amazing. And I suspect I’m the only one to have ever written a TripAdvisor for our local Weatherspoons, the Eva Hart, but they deserve it. I usually Tripadvise holidays or significant occasions - and we go to the Eva every Friday- so why Tripadvise now??? Because of the quality of their steaks. I recently Tripadvised a great restaurant in central London, but here’s the truth. The day before we went ( at their invite) I’d been to the Eva Hart and had a steak. It was great. Well cooked, rested and well served. I then went to the mega restaurant, central London and £100 a head. I had ‘Aged sirloin’ steak, and wished i hadn’t. Then tonight we went back to the Eva (daughter’s birthday) and we had steak. ( Tuesday - at a weatherspoons. It’s steak night ) On both occasions at our local the Eva outshone the mega restaurant at a fraction of the price. Is it sourcing, cooking, or a mixture??? Not sure. But the chef at the Eva needs recognition - and, because I do Trip advisor a bit I know the manager will get this so…….. please give the steak chef a bonus. No one else will see this xx. How you consistently outshine central London restaurants that charge £100 or more a head for quality steak I don’t know. I’m aware I’m speaking to one person - and no one else checks out TripAdvisor for Chadwell Heath but ……. It needs to be said. Manager ( not sure if it’s him or her now Kates left) well done. And thank you for your good food at a great price. Outstanding.

Me sentí como un borracho y tuve tiempo de visitar el ferrocarril antes de que mi tren saliera de Liverpool Street. El pub estaba ocupado, pero me atendieron rápida y eficientemente por el barman. Me las arreglé para conseguir un asiento.

Lunchtime visit, no inside seating available so sat outside. We had the soup of the week which was roasted red pepper accompanied with half grilled cheese sandwich (£10) and the chicken schnitzel with Caesar salad served with a friend egg (£15.50). Both dishes were delish! Service was attentive & friendly. Will definitely return however it was cold when we visited and the lack of outdoor heating for the large front seating space took away from our experience!

Dared to try this cafe again after the change in ownership and I was very very impressed, what a turn around! Fabulous service, we had such a lovely stop off on our shopping trip, so nice to see Liberty’s restaurant back in its prime.

Los chicos de Bridge House fueron más allá y luego algunos para ayudarnos a tener el día de la boda de nuestros sueños en junio. La comida increíble, nos permitió hacer lo que quisiéramos con el espacio, y simplemente nos apoyó en cada paso del camino. Mis amigos y yo hemos sido asiduos aquí desde que los actuales propietarios asumieron el cargo en aproximadamente 2007 / 8. No creo que sea exagerado decir que han cambiado la zona para mejor aportando un poco de estilo y glamour a un lugar antiguo. Buena comida, bebida y vibraciones, espíritu comunitario, teatro y un hermoso jardín hacen de este uno de mis verdaderos lugares felices.

First visit here and received a very warm welcome from Dorian. Thereafter the service provided by our server seemed rather hostile and unprofessional. She bought the wrong drinks and made us feel it was our fault. Food was fine, we both had chicken shawarma. I would have given 4* had it not been for the attitude of our server. Dorian did a good job in turning situation around.

Great pub and great vibes. The burgers were really tasty and staff were friendly. Had a mate down from Spain and we had a lovely time, thanks guys!
