Dared to try this cafe again after the change in ownership and I was very very impressed, what a turn around! Fabulous service, we had such a lovely stop off on our shopping trip, so nice to see Liberty’s restaurant back in its prime.

I stopped in for tea and scones to see if there had been any improvements since the change in ownership. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The service was outstanding—so warm and welcoming. The scones were freshly made and absolutely delicious, the perfect complement to a cup of tea. I'll definitely be back for more!

Wow what a great little spot for lunch! After a busy day shopping we needed a small bite to eat and are so pleased we chose Arthur's at Liberty. Their menu isn't huge but provided enough of a variety that my daughter and I were almost spoilt for choice! They really seem to have elevated the style of dining and are a hidden gem. Can't wait to find an excuse to come back!

I’ve visited Liberty’s many times before and finally had a chance to visit Arthur’s which did not disappoint. The food, drinks, service and overall experience were all faultless. A true British fine dining retreat nestled in the mayhem that is London. I’m already planning my next lunch date there. Truly added to the unique and luxury shopping experience at Liberty’s.

We were disappointed with the cafe. It is out of step with the beautiful store. It is drab, worn and unlovely. The staff were not very friendly, tables were left uncleared and there were plastic bags of green napkins strewn around the floor. It looked untidy and uncared for. The tea was good, the Victoria sponge was overly sweet and tasted synthetic although the presentation was nice. We expected a lovelier experience for the location and will not be returning

This restaurant caters to tourists who know no better. I ordered a cappuccino that was unpleasant. I then ordered scones and tea to counteract the taste of the coffee. The 2 scones that arrived were stale and hard as rocks. Coming from Devon I’m a scone connoisseur and these were so awful I sent them back, asked for the bill and left. Avoid this place.

Visited for Afternoon Tea. Overall impression just 'okay'. Thought it would feel more special but was very much a cafe feel. Sandwiches Nice (not outstanding) although enjoyed the smoked salmon and beetroot one. Scones very dry but cakes all very nice...probably the highlight. Tea not that hot and stewed very quickly. would have been nice if this was refreshed as nobody wanted another after the first cup as it was too cold and stewed. They were very happy to box up what we were unable to finish which was lovely. Toilet a long way from the cafe and not that clean (a lot of toilet paper all over the floor). Overall didn't feel like the special experience i thought it would when i had been wanting to go for a long time however it was very reasonable compared to others in London so i guess you get what you pay for. Would i recommend or return.... probably not.

The service is absolutely appalling. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated, which was fine, but then we were ignored by every waitress that passed our table. It seems they are terribly understaffed and the staff they do have are lacking in basic customer service training. We paid over 60 GBP for a sandwich, a salad, a Diet Coke, a sparkling water and a cup of tea. The sandwich was inedible. The salad was mediocre. The tea was less than lukewarm so I sent it back … this resulted in a show of contempt from the staff … much eye rolling and muttering ensued. I just wanted the tea made with hot water… that shouldn’t be treated like an outrageous request. We’ve visited this cafe several times before. It used to be good a few years ago but is increasingly disappointing. We won’t visit again.

So we thought we’d treat ourselves to tea and cake at Liberty’s. It’s overpriced but what the hell. We were on a theatre trip and we were seated at 17.20. It wasn’t busy. Plenty of staff standing round looking gormless, more intent on chatting and clearing tables. 20 minutes later and not one of their staff enquired as to our requirements, or to take our order. Obviously myself and my other half were invisible. We walked out and went elsewhere. If they don’t want our custom please have the courtesy of just refusing entry rather than waste our time. Get better staff please who know what they are doing.

We were seated straightaway, but the tables were very crammed in and close to each other. We decided on the Afternoon Tea for two at £54.50 plus service charge. The sandwiches lacked flavour and the fruit scones lacked fruit, just two pieces in the scone. The tea was weak, although we left it to brew for a decent time. We asked for top ups for tea as the serving was small (not hot water refill) and I was disappointed to see that we were charged. The total bill was £73.50 and I have had much much better for the same cost. Overall disappointing and I so wanted to love it.
