Bread Street Kitchen in City of London, Westminster

The menu did no show and GF, vegetarian options the waitress had to put little crosses against what my wife could eat. The lighting was so poor that the couple next to us had to use the torch own their phones to read the menu. Just very overpriced, even charging over £7 for a bottle of still or sparkling water, beef wellington for 2 people for £120!

The place is very pretty. The staff is excellent, very attentive, polite and they deserve their tips. Food is ok good like. If it were not Ramsay’s establishment i would give four stars but I have seen him on telly destroying restaurants for less than his own i.e., the bread in the burger wasn’t the freshest. Again though I reiterate that the serving staff were excellent and I thank them for making it a nice experience for me and my daughter.

5th anniversary and it was amazing! Worth every penny!

Attended with clients for the set menu and with a set seating time - Menu was ok (nothing too mind blowing) although I expected something more extravagant considering the profile of the owner/franchise. WOW! absolutely aghast at how disappointed I (We) were for so many reasons. Wait - Even though we had pre-booked/allocated seating we had to wait in excess of 45 minutes- 1 hour to be seated. Service - Starters, Mains and Desserts all arrived at our table at different times - some had finished whilst others had yet to be served. Not enough (working staff) - plenty standing around twiddling their thumbs, not enough serving! Food - A HUGE let down, mediocre at best! Crab on Toast - aka - Aa cold soggy muffin. Chick Pea Masala - TBH our local H&W pub does this better Sorbet - Yep - x2 scoops in a bowl However saving the worst till last...There were service doors being used to set up for an evening function, the draft and drop in temperature was noticeable not only by us but other diners close to us, to the point where coats were being retrieved from the cloak room. When I approached what I assumed was a manager (as seen in the photo at the back) and asked if the doors would be closed whilst we ate, was told "we can't do that", ok fair enough (sort of) but the manner in which I was addressed was blunt, rude and wholly unprofessional - He needs some serious retraining!

Very small eggs! But otherwise very good. Had the smashed Avocado on sour dough with 2 poached eggs and a side of smoked bacon. Could have been a bit warmer.

Order fish and chips. Fish were lovely but chips let it down somewhat. Not cooked as well probably because they were very thick.

Good atmosphere and service was exceptional

Food was good but not outstanding, given the reputation and the price point we expected more. Music was way too loud during lunch and to an extend it got very annoying esp. when guests sitting next to us started shouting to each other given the noisy environment. We settled the bill digitally via the QR code displayed on the table as the waitress was too busy to bring the bill. We were shocked — being totally unaware there is a surcharge of £2 using this payment method.

Lovely food and service. We were looked after Omar and he made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend.

Just had an amazing meal with amazing service from Omar!!! Always lovely to have such friendly service accompanied by some delicious food. Definitely coming back next time we are in London!

Quite good food and atmosphere, and polite service but very slow. Three hours time for dinner mostly waiting between courses. Not attentive in between courses either for drinks etc. Were told it's busy with Christmas parties but still..I would give three stars if it were not such a nice restaurant, for a restaurant at this level you expect better

The food was delicious, the customer service was great, and we had a wonderful time. The customer service of Mr. Omar, who was in charge of the service, was also very nice.

Great quality food. Not unreasonably priced for the area. Not a spectacular atmosphere but still my go to breakfast place with clients, near our office.

The food was excellent. However, our waitress seemed a little stand-offish which spoiled our experience a little. I would go back to try again.

Overall it was not bad, food was tasty but not special. Thursday night dinner with clients and the music was so loud we couldn't really hear each other. Asked for the music to be turned down a little without success. Had to leave sooner than we would have wanted to, as we were just staring at each other unable to talk.

The restaurant was attractive and the waiters were nice. The food was underwhelming. In most inns in Vienna you can eat better than there. Starter bread and butter were just baked rolls. The fish & chips were acceptable except for the breading. The dessert should be an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, but it was more of an applesauce with a vanilla ball, where the Clever ice cream tastes more like vanilla. We have soft drinks and coffee for 2 people Pay €160, which included a 15% tip without asking. Considering how derogatory he treats and criticizes people on his TV show and then serves food like that.

Amazing food, really poor service, leaving a bad taste, especially when paying premium city prices. Surprisingly, the starters arrived before the water, the bread and the bottle of champagne. The waiter looked surprised when we asked him to wait for the drinks before serving the food. Eventually the champagne came and upon pouring the bottle, the waiter completely missed the glass, and didn’t bother to mop up the spill. He kind of redeemed himself by returning to the table and topping up from another bottle. We ate a great tuna tartare, duck salad and really nice steaks. Throughout the entire meal the waiters failed to top up our glasses. We did it ourselves. Frankly disappointing for almost £300 for 2 people! Even more surprising after watching Hell’s Kitchen, Mr Ramsey…

We held a company event at this restaurant and were extremely disappointed with the service and overall experience. From the beginning, the gentleman who took our order was rude and displayed inappropriate, borderline racist behavior. He assumed some of our group were from Brazil in a mocking manner before we even placed our order. He made a mistake with our drink order but insisted it was our fault, refusing to acknowledge the error. During the meal, he rudely demanded one of our colleagues help rearrange glasses on the table, implying that it was our responsibility to assist with his job. The food service was unreasonably slow—we waited over an hour for our main course. While the side dishes like fries and corn were decent, the main dishes were underwhelming, particularly the cod, which was fishy and lacked flavor. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, a 15% service charge had already been added, yet the server aggressively pushed for additional tips. When one of us asked about the difference between the service charge and tips, he made a snide remark about “fancy people” from the “club room” always tipping, suggesting we should as well. Overall, the experience was deeply disappointing. The service was rude and unprofessional, and the food quality didn’t match the restaurant’s reputation. We would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is very beautiful, the decor is neat and the dishes are delicious. We were welcomed by the head waiter (at least I think) who is French and who really took great care of us, he was full of good attention to us and gave us a wonderful time. Many thanks 😊

A disappointing restaurant. We ordered a burger and a lamb sandwich. The sandwich was greasy, they could have used the leftover to fry the burger, which by the way couldn't be simpler. Disproportionate price. Very nice waiters, bravo to them. Gordon, get your act together.

Every time I’m in UK I have to come here, the vibe is so good, Thai was serving us and accommodating us in the best spot. Drinks and food spectacular. I would recommend 100%.

It feels like being in a train station. Too loud to understand each other. We waited for more than an hour to get the dinner. When the last person got his dish, my dish was already cold.

We visited for late lunch for around 3pm It was quite place and spacious:) staff are friendly and service was great 👍 Idiot sandwich was absolutely great. Didn’t feel like a lamb .. and chips was very crispy!! Steak 🥩 was amazing 🤩 kids menus was free for adult (under 8) we had a great time.

Food was very nice, maybe slightly expensive, but this is expected with Gordon’s face slapped all over the shop. Omar served us, he was very kind and helped out greatly with the wine choice (I went for the cheapest). I would would likely come again but only the once more as I only have one more arm and leg to give them. Peace and Love. MK

Dined here as part of the dining experience. Amazing food served to us by the amazing Yassin. Each course was lovely and a mixture of cuisines. Yassin made us feel very special to celebrate a special occasion.

It was for team dinner. Food,service, atmosphere is good.but the music was loud..which was good ,but need to scream to talk to others.

We came for lunch, it’s a lovely chilled place, menu is huge, cannot thank Yasen enough, he made our meal such a fun experience and made our son who is turning 3 so happy by spoiling him and taking him to meet the chefs!

While visiting London, I took my daughter to Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant, drawn by his reputation. The experience was a mixed bag. We both loved the atmosphere and she thoroughly enjoyed her food and drink. I, however, was only pleased with the salad and appetizer; the ribeye steak I ordered was far too salty to eat despite my best efforts. The service was mixed—good at times, but lacking in others. Overall, my daughter was very satisfied, but I left disappointed.

We was gifted an experience of sitting in the pod and having the Apollo menu which we really enjoyed! Our waiter Omar was fantastic and we really enjoyed our evening, thanks!

I regularly use Bread St kitchen as it is close to the office. Food is great and Rafael and his team are first class, always attentive. The service is always quick, which is ideal for a business lunch.

We had an excellent time at the Bread Street kitchen restaurant. The place is amazing with great quality food. A special mention for Erika. She took great care of us and is so nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had the beef wellington experience to celebrate my upcoming Cambridge graduation. The food did not disappoint and we were treated very nicely. Customer service is superb as staff goes around to make sure everyone is enjoying their meals and accommodated. Thank you to Rafael, Eleni, and the team for such a great experience. You all made it special (even with a special treat!) and I cannot wait to return in the future.

Food was good. We had the idiot sandwich, caesar salad and the fish and chips. Everything was tasty and well-prepared. Service was friendly and professional. The acoustics in this restaurant is horrendous, however. We had a very hard time hearing each other across the table. Some acoustic paneling would do wonders...
