Coffee was good and I had ricotta pancakes with honey for breakfast. I was expecting the dish to be very sweet, but it was very balanced. Service was good, a bit crowded around 8.30 am.

A good option for lunch. I had the fish and chips, crispy fish placed on top of crispy chips equals soft chips, stop it.. good ambience and service..

Very nice setting, and well eaten. A little expensive, in the end, but we know that we are also paying for the setting and the name of the restaurant. Located on the first floor, two possible entrances, via the small shopping center, or via the pizzeria of the same name. Efficient service. More cozy atmosphere in the evening, thanks to the lighting. A musical background that we really liked, at a correct volume.

Went in September and we are having a couple day stop over in England on a trip this year just to go again. Sticky toffee pudding comes straight from heaven itself. The Beef Wellington and mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in London, it is an absolutely must to stop in. The walk to the restaurant is full of beautiful sights (like St Paul’s) and the staff are absolutely lovely. Thought it might be a little overhyped with how famous Gordon has become but this is superb food all around. Received a gift certificate for my birthday and it was a very easy process to purchase this online. Well done Bread Street Kitchen!

You fooled us, Gordon! Bravo! Poor service. Warm cocktails. Completely basic menu, featuring food you can get literally anywhere. This would have been fine if the food was somehow elevated or inventive—or at least good! Unfortunately, it wasn't. The venison sausage my wife ordered was so over-seasoned it was inedible. I faired a little better with my butter chicken, but even this dish was basic at best. I've had better at my local grocer—no hyperbole—but for one-fifth the price. As for that famous Gordon Ramsay Burger? Save yourself and go to Five Guys. The poor gentleman next to us who ordered one had a terrible time eating it. But there were also several things this evening that were unforgivable in any restaurant, let alone a GR restaurant that purports to be a step above, or somehow redefining what great dining can be (and certainly the prices were a step above!). The first thing was ... the warm martini! Ugh. Getting served a warm martini is one thing, but what was truly unforgivable was the waiter telling my wife: "This is how they do it." *unhappy face* Wait! It gets worse. Arguing! Not only did the waiter try to defend the warm martini, but when my wife requested a new one, the bartender refused to make it. Instead, he made her wait twenty minutes while he "chilled" her cocktail in the freezer. He also appeared strangely proud of his solution, despite making her wait, and despite the fact that chilling it this way wouldn't address its improper dilution. The bartender was all smiles. We weren't. I did, however, take heart at seeing how empty the restaurant was! At 7pm on this Saturday night, the restaurant was one-third full, at best, and I was gladdened to see that London was already wise to how terrible this place was. I would have been thoroughly distressed it it had been full of unsuspecting patrons. Well, Gordon, you fooled us! After all these years of watching you yell at and browbeat young chefs, you had us believing you were a person of standards, a person with a passion for food, striving to redefine what dining can be. Turns out, you're just another shill.

Closed on Sunday for lunch even though the time on Google Maps said open and what's more the site allowed me to book a table. Please update the times.

Sadly the service was very disappointing. Despite letting them know that the service was not good there was still no improvement until speaking to the manager the 3rd time. They did try to make it up to us by reducing the bill, but it was overall a very disappointing experience.

Food was a bit disappointing. We expect more for a Ramsay restaurant. Bread was burnt and we sent it back. Fries were cold with the steak (at £7.5). Staff was not as attentive as at street burger by Gordon Ramsay. We won't be returning anytime soon.

I went for a quick bite and wine with my colleague, Thai hosted and looked after us very well, really enjoyed the evening.

Didn’t like how it wasn’t busy in there and the guy in the front told us there was a 1 hour wait even though it didn’t look busy AT ALL. Then I went online and booked a reservation for a slot that was 630pm (I booked it at 620pm lol). And then they sat us right at my reservation time. What was that about!

We ordered a bottle of wine which I had to chase uk three time before it arrived which was after starters had been served. The lady who served it was very cold and unfriendly. She spilt some of the wine on the table whilst pouring. She apologised but made no effort to clear it up. I then asked our waitress to wipe our table and she came back with some serviettes and handed it to me to do myself. I had to suggest that maybe it was something she should do. I spent good money and expect much higher level of service

Can I just say the food was AMAZING! The service was flawless. GG, made our night seamless from beginning to end. This was a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be back!

AVOID. Ordered a full English only to be told that they had no sausages and that I would have to have double other item. Poached eggs were fridge cold. Not worth the premium - head for a greasy spoon if you fancy a decent breakfast.

Great atmosphere at this place. We had a main course and dessert. The main course was great, the fish & chips were luxurious, the batter was amazing and the portion was huge, enough for two people. Butter chicken was more spicy, but the Indian food is. Desserts chocolate fondant and sticky toffee were both incredibly delicious. We are taking one star off the service because we were full and they walked around us for quite a long time and even though they knew it, they only brought our food after a long pause. Thank you for a nice evening and delicious food.

Is this really a Gordon Ramsay restaurant?Food not quality. Then when it comes to payment we had to pay more than the bill as me and my partner was informed that they had no change. So ended up paying service charge and extra. Would not recommend.

Right... I expected wonderful things, obviously, it's a GR restaurant. As a vegetarian my choices were limited, which is fine, I generally like food so im not going to cry about there not being 100 vege options. The vegie starter option however. My word. I can only describe it was water flavoured oily soup. Apparently it had cauliflower and hazelnuts in it, but where they were I am unsure. The main vegetarian offering was a poke bowl, which was essentially identical to the one I buy in lidl, but 10x the price. Pudding however was fabulous. I can't fault them in deserts, and they were baked to order, so had a wait but was well worth it. Ambiance of the restaurant was fairly flat. Service was OK. Definitely not what I'd expect at such a prestigious spot.

Last evening in London couldn’t have ended more perfectly! We kicked things off with two Mocktails 🍹 and two Cocktails 🍸, which were absolutely delightful. For starters, we shared a basket of bread and wagyu meatballs. Surprisingly, the meatballs were quite average for "wagyu"—not bad, but definitely not what you'd expect from such a premium label. As for the main dishes, we went for two dry-aged steaks 🥩 , and they were truly magnificent. The flavors were spot on, especially when paired with a delicious sauce (though it’s worth noting that the sauce came at an extra cost). The fries, while a little under-salted 🧂, rounded out the dish nicely—adding a touch more salt made the entire combination stunning. Alongside, we enjoyed a perfectly roasted cod and a Ramsey Burger, both of which were very impressive. It’s important to mention that ‘everything’ is à la carte here—nothing comes included. Even the fries and side dishes are charged separately, so the steak, for example, would have arrived on its own. The staff added to the experience with their attentive and friendly service, though there was a mix of attitudes—some seemed slightly unhappy, while others were a touch too intrusive. All in all, it was a great dining experience 🤩—delicious food in a lovely atmosphere, but it does come with a hefty price tag!

Good atmosphere, good welcome, great food, good price but we had a problem with starters. Guys you have to inform your clients that the butter and olives that you put on the table its extra cost. We didn’t ask for it and you must know that in other countries these are free of charge( like Italy, Austria, Hungary and many more). It is not a problem to pay for them but just inform the client. It is rude to push up the bill for extra charge. In the end i will pay more for something that i don’t want.

I still think Bread St has the best Sunday roast in london, we have been coming for years and the standard is always good. I never had a bad roast here. However the prices have been going up quite steadily too! Fish and chips were good. But the menu has also slowly shrunk, they didn't have roast chicken today. they used to do Sunday brunch with English Breaksfast on the menu but they don't do that anymore. Their service was good as usual. I like that they have lots of space and it wasn't too noisy this Sunday

The menu did no show and GF, vegetarian options the waitress had to put little crosses against what my wife could eat. The lighting was so poor that the couple next to us had to use the torch own their phones to read the menu. Just very overpriced, even charging over £7 for a bottle of still or sparkling water, beef wellington for 2 people for £120!

Very bad ventilation, our clothes smelled food for a day. It was quite expensive for the served products.

Quality of food was good, however being charged £7.25 for a bottle of still water is extortionate! Plus my wife is GF no mention on menu the waitress did mark on each item my wife could have but nowadays I would expect her to be offered a GF menu at this restaurant. Steaks were great. Quality of the meat was undoubtedly highest possible. Waiters were a little bit too present and visible, what is more one of them made a mistake serving us the wrong dish but they were very polite and made experience more pleasant

They really stack up a bunch of fees to inflate the price, which made the value for money off balance. The food was good but not worth the price paid. The staff and service were excellent, though.

Really warm welcome, professional staff with a nice vibe in the restaurant. Service was really good, just the rich speed and balance. Fab decor inside, inspiring and impressive. Definitely would recommend.

A shadow of its former self. We used to really look forward to coming here, but not been since April. Went for a special occasion dinner together. The service was just ok, a bit indifferent really with 3 or 4 staff just seemingly passing through. There were only 6 tables occupied - it was pre-theatre at 5pm. Atmosphere was cold, clinical. Food was the biggest disappointment - absolutely nothing special, served cool instead of hot. It was not worth complaining to the indifferent staff. We paid and left after our main course and vowed to try somewhere else in future. Thanks.

Terrible place for any Sunday meal. Turned into a playground for loud kids and screaming babies. Classless parents. Look at the ketchup so high up on the window. Kitchen is also very slow. Food was not bad, it’s fine. Staff are friendly.

Is that really a Gordon Ramsay establishment? Just went last night for Christmas Day. Our waitress Claudette was amazing and she was the only great thing about the evening. Grazia Mille Claudette !!! But for the rest... - Welcome hostess was stressed and had NO SMILE whatsoever, announced they were running late 20/25 mins on table - which can happen - and sent us to the bar for a drink - that should have been offered but wasn't. - Once seated and food ordered it came pretty quick, starters were good but not wow. Main courses portions were way too big and felt like it was a waste of food unfortunately. - Fish and chips was pretty good, despite the terrible presentation, but another fish was barely edible and the turkey was just ok. The manager was super nice and removed the fish from the bill. - going up the stairs to the main dining room there was paper on the floor, when we left it had not been cleaned. - leaving towards the end of the evening staff in open kitchen was joking and speaking loud using cursed words as a joke, but still not professional at all. This is not worth the money AT ALL and the fact that they ask to prepay £50 / person with a 1 week cancellation policy is outrageous for what we experienced. We had a much better dinner the night before at The Ivy.

It was incredibly disappointing. Our group of four had made a reservation in advance for the Beef Wellington, expecting a high standard of quality, especially since this is Gordon Ramsay’s signature dish. However, when the dish was served, we were dismayed to find that the Beef Wellington had already been sliced into pieces. As it was meant to be shared, the presentation was far from ideal. The puff pastry was unexpectedly wet, with the mushrooms dislodged from their place, causing them to spill onto the plate when we attempted to serve ourselves. The texture of the pastry was inconsistent, with some parts crispy while others were soggy. This lack of uniformity was quite disappointing, and the overall experience fell short of our expectations. To accompany our meal, we ordered the mashed cream potatoes, which unfortunately turned out to be overly salty, further detracting from our dining experience. While the initial service—from reception to our table—was commendable, things began to falter as we progressed through the meal. At one point, a server approached us to inquire if we had finished eating, to which we replied that we were still enjoying our dishes. Just 30 sec later, another waiter came by, asking to clear our plates. This left us feeling rushed, as if the staff were eager for us to leave. It seemed there was a lack of communication among the team. In total, our bill came to GBP$332, but the value for money was exceedingly low. We left the restaurant feeling very disappointed.

Had Christmas Day lunch here with family. Service was excellent—friendly and attentive. Nice views of the water. Food was mixed. Beef Wellington was tasty and perfectly cooked. The hamburger was seriously overcooked. Dry, tasteless meat on a soggy bun. Caesar entree size salad was drowned in too much dressing. Tuna tartare appetizer was good. Tequila tangerine cocktail and espresso martini very good.

Awful service. Was waiting for 10 mins. Two staff passed by 3 times but didn’t pay any heed to us even when I called out to them. Avoid this place if you can. Or go to the downstairs street pizza place which had good friendly service

The food was amazing. However, the service was very bad. The waiters didn’t pick up the empty glasses, the plates and didn’t ask for new drinks or whatsoever. Also smiling for the waiters was very hard. We had the feeling that the waiters felt too good to do certain work. In general, the service is not Gordon Ramsay worthy. Furthermore, the toilets were also very dirty. Because, the service is a big part of the experience, we give the restaurant two stars.

It was an extremely underwhelming experience. The service was slow and inadequate. We had a reservation at 7:30 and were seated no sooner than 8. We also ordered a Caesar salad that never came to our table even though we heard the waitress say it when repeating our order. The atmosphere was unpleasant because we were constantly hearing the chefs yell “service”. Overall the food was good but extremely overpriced and overhyped for a restaurant in london. We will not be visiting again.

High noise level, poor service and stressed staff. The cannelloni was dry, tasteless and over-baked. We had to wait forever to order more drinks, the staff just ran past without seeing us waving. Way too expensive considering the service and taste.

Unfortunately, food was average at best and grossly over priced for the quality. We were looking forward to our dinner but left feeling very disappointed.

To be fair, it was Christmas, but the restaurant probably shouldn’t have opened as they were understaffed and didn’t have the basics of service. The food was very good, but there was no host and no one really helping as there were many people unseated with reservations for a long time. Three hours in the restaurant in a meal that should have lasted should just over an hour.

What a place! We were slightly skeptical after reading some of the reviews but we had the most amazing time here! Our waiter Omar was amazing, attentive and explained everything. We opted for the Wellington experience with wine pairing and loved everything we had. The atmosphere was brilliant, cozy with a little buzz. Would highly recommend and thanks again to Omar!

Great meal and our waiter Omar was exceptional. My only gripe is I paid a hefty service charge, none of which seems to go to the staff.

The place is very pretty. The staff is excellent, very attentive, polite and they deserve their tips. Food is ok good like. If it were not Ramsay’s establishment i would give four stars but I have seen him on telly destroying restaurants for less than his own i.e., the bread in the burger wasn’t the freshest. Again though I reiterate that the serving staff were excellent and I thank them for making it a nice experience for me and my daughter.

Came here for our anniversary and Omar was very attentive. Service was second to none and the food was amazing! Flavours popping and to top it off a lovely surprise anniversary dessert at the end!!

Curry was delicious however when I asked for beef carpaccio I was served with what was 100% cold roast beef. When I asked them if that was what it was meant to be they informed me that it was carpaccio. The meat had been cooked and was grey on the outside, definitely not carpaccio.

This was probably the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. I am shocked that this level of bad quality food can be served at this price in the city of London from such a famous brand. The first warning sign was the bread arrived cold and stale with the cheapest tasting petrol station level olives you can imagine. The burger at £23 was just an awful soggy mess and completely tasteless. The fish and chips looked appetising but were just as bad. The batter was rock solid and the chips were too chunky to enjoy. The quality of the fish served was even more terrible and at £24 pound is just unfair when it’s cooked this poorly. However worst of all was the Mushroom Caneloni with its burnt top and flavourless sauce. The whole thing tasted like unflavoured glue and rubber. All of the food was cooked atrociously and lacked any sort of quality and flavour. It arrived extremely quickly which should have rang alarm bells. The drinks were the worst we have ever had and charged at the highest prices and utterly rubbish. The staff were trying their best but it just seemed they were all new and training. What a disappointment the whole experience was! We would have had a much better meal at local pub or restaurant.

We came here for my son’s birthday’beef Wellington’ experience and it was perfect. Thank you very much.

The service was as expected. Firstly the waitress didn’t hear my order for starters, and while taking the mains powered I iterated the table starters not arrived, at while point the starters were ordered. The table starters arrived 2mins before the mains, we didn’t really have a chance to enjoy them. The was little attention paid to the table, yet I paid for the service charge and everything on the menu. Not to happy this time.

It was a great experience, our waiter Omar was fantastic, the food was delicious and quickly served, definitely would come back for another meal, great birthday lunch

We had a lovely lunch for 7. It took us a while to order so in the end we were restricted to 2 courses even though we had allowed 2 hours for lunch. Food was excellent, in particular the ribs and fish and chips. The wings starters could have been warmer but flavour was good.

Wait - Even though we had pre-booked/allocated seating we had to wait in excess of 45 minutes- 1 hour to be seated. Service - Starters, Mains and Desserts all arrived at our table at different times - some had finished whilst others had yet to be served, seemed to be a constant flow of requests for cutlery and a lack of care over simple easy wins for the venue. Not enough (working staff) - plenty standing around twiddling their thumbs, not enough serving! Food - A HUGE let down, mediocre at best! Crab on Toast - aka - A cold soggy muffin. Chick Pea Masala - TBH our local H&W pub does this better Sorbet - Yep - x2 scoops in a bowl However saving the worst till last...There were service doors being used to set up for an evening function, the draft and drop in temperature was noticeable not only by us but other diners close to us, to the point where coats were being retrieved from the cloak room. Very small eggs! But otherwise very good. Had the smashed Avocado on sour dough with 2 poached eggs and a side of smoked bacon. Could have been a bit warmer.

Food was good but not outstanding, given the reputation and the price point we expected more. Music was way too loud during lunch and to an extend it got very annoying esp. when guests sitting next to us started shouting to each other given the noisy environment. We settled the bill digitally via the QR code displayed on the table as the waitress was too busy to bring the bill. We were shocked — being totally unaware there is a surcharge of £2 using this payment method.

We ordered the beef Wellington and it was delicious (and could have served 4 people, it was so much food!). Also enjoyed the chocolate fondant dessert. Service was great!
