Very nice selection of beer. Much history with a dungeon set of stairs to the men’s room. Staff is friendly enough. Was informed that Mozart played music here as a child.

We went to this pub that it's located in the centre of London, and it's a typical london pub. We asked for a table to eat something and we were attended by Mira, our waitress, that was very nice with us and that gave us useful suggestions about the food. We ate fish and chips and maccaroni and cheese. The food was delicious and the beers too. I recommend this place. Thank you Mira, it was a pleasure.

This place was the perfect place for dinner with the family after a long day of sightseeing. We were greeted upstairs by Bernie - quite the character - and she told us they were booked, but to come back in 30 minutes and she would squeeze us in. Squeeze being the key - I think upstairs only seats about 15 people. We had a wonderful dinner of fish and chips and a couple of their special pies. All were great - plus we watched them all come up via dumb waiter. Everyone left happy and full.

I had Dog & Duck bookmarked when I found out I was staying in SOHO, West-end of London. When I arrived I went upstairs and was greeted by Anna: the bartender, waitress, and the friendliest person I came across in a London! Because this was in early March of 2020, the place was empty (I heard normally it’s packed onto the streets) because of the worldwide pandemic starting to hit everywhere. Although it was a tad somber moment for the world... oddly it gave me the chance to enjoy Dog & Duck all to myself. The pub is an Victorian foodies stream... the decor... the facade... the vibe... the details. And yes, it’s a pub that’s been around since the Victorian era!I ordered the Fish & Chips (of course I’m in London) and Camden Town on-tap Beer! Oh my! When it arrived it was not only the biggest plate of golden brown Fish I’ve come across... the mashed peas and chips as good! The Beer mingled well with my dish!Anna and I talked a bunch since I was the only human, dog, or duck in there! She mentioned how busy it normally was... we talked about the decline of travel because of the state of the world. All the while the Fish & Chips were melting in my mouth! A somber moment in the world but a lunch I’ll never forget! Cheers!

Visited in January on a double date, very disappointed. The pizza was sloppy when there was a beautiful pizza oven, you would expect an amazing pizza really. The pie was hideous. The service was slow and forgetful even though it was not busy. We were told we were the first to complain that evening when we could hear other people complaining on the other tables. When we eventually got our drinks, which had been forgotten about and we had to ask again for them after a very long wait, the order was wrong. We all drank about half of our 2nd round of drinks and we all left feeling sick with stomach ache. After not eating the food as we left it and had a full refund I can only assume that it was due to the lines not being cleaned/cleaned correctly or the glasses had not recently been renovated. However, I hope I’m wrong as that is simply an assumption due to none of us drinking the same or eating the same. A shame really as the building is so beautiful and in a lovely location.

I dropped into the pub for lunch prior to attending a 2:30pm matinee. The main dining area was upstairs and on arrival it was empty but a waitress (I forgot to take her name) swiftly offered me a table. The room was quite cold but she assured the heating would take affect shortly (as it was very early in the lunch period). I initially ordered a large glass of house red wine (which turned out to be not available) so I paid 20p more for a Sauvignon. The wine was lovely and very reasonably priced for the theatre district of central London. To eat I had Macaroni Cheese with bacon. I had a short wait before the dish arrived. It was LOADED with cheese on top and piping hot. On tucking in I found the sauce to be beautiful and creamy. I would say it would be with considering bigger pieces of pasta as I struggled to find it in with the cheese. My whole experience was lovely and the waitress was very attentive, even as it grew busier. My receipt was tucked into a nice card that wished me to 'have a nice day'. A lovely touch I will most definitely be going back.

Feu !

Ostensibly a near perfect place for a pub meal with a good pub food menu and plenty of beer. We may have got the protocol wrong. We sat down, went to get a beer while waiting for a third to join us only to be told that if we weren’t eating straight away we couldn’t stay there. No point taking issue or getting upset so we slunk away.

Was served by a lady called Katie, Lovely girl with great chat. The drinks were okay in price, typical london prices. Food is lovely though, they do a fab sunday roast!

The internal architecture is a beautiful example of an old Soho pub complete with wood panels and lovely tiling. The beers are well kept but the bar is small and narrow and best avoided immediately after work on a weekday as it can be hard to get served and you will have to join the throngs on the pavement outside. Having said that, if you can find it on a quiet afternoon, its a great place for a cosy drink. The name is taken not from the cutesy picture on the pub sign but rather from the practice of duck baiting which took place here. From mediaeval right up to Victorian times, Londoners amused themselves with a variety of animal based cruelty and this place used dogs to see how many ducks (which had their wings clipped) they could slaughter. Elsewhere you can find places which included rat baiting, bear baiting and bare knuckle fighting.

What a shame! Great bar area, beautifully laid out, Ritazza cafe looks great but sells awful coffee, cold and without any kick. Croissants are stale and old from previous day. It is 6:45am pastries should be fresh and coffee should be good all day long. The servers clearly hates their job, replace them with people who have better customer services skills.

My absolute favourite pub in Angel! This is a quiet haven to decompress and read after a stressful day at work, and a regular stop for me on the way home. It has a very warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is always exceptionally friendly and nice. It’s a nice and warm escape in the winter, and for hot summer days, they have a beautiful hidden garden in the back to seek refuge from direct sunlight and the scorching heat. Without doubt the loveliest place to spend an evening in the area (and arguably, in London)!

Food was good, service was mediocre, I believe they can improve way more. Also their breakfast price was a bit higher compared to other places nearby

Only came here for a pint, but received excellent service at the bar, loved the Christmas decorations, and look forward to coming back!
