This magnificent pub has not only been used in the sweeney but also in the Rumpole episode "Rumpole for the Prosecution"

Stopped by to eat based on photo reviews with food. Two of the three folks working behind the bar seemed inconvenienced for our presence and questions, so we left to find another place. It’s a shame, given how nice the building is and convenient location.

Grumpy and diffident staff coupled with rude and unfriendly “locals” who treat the place as their personal drinking den as “they drink the there every day”. Have drink there on and off for over 30 years and recently re-visited after somewhat of a haitus - not sure I’ll be back under current management. I do hope the decline is not terminal.

Really disappointing. Having checked with the manager they were showing the Rugby I arranged for a group to visit to view the game. I was abruptly told 10 mins into tbe second half they would switch to the Football ( defying the managers suggestion) we were then relocated to a small TV and room for domineering locals to have the main speakers put on in the small room from the main screen, making any other viewing impossible. This is simply terrible management and communication re what you are showing and allowing certain members to bully the room. This is my local and I hate to complain but I will never ever go there again under this shambolic and rude management structure. Despite the historic Beauty of the pub the service and atmosphere is not something I can accept. Very sad that such a wonderful location and building that I have known for decades treats customer in this manner. As sign of desperation is to demand a minimum spend at the bar, if you’re good enough you don’t need to make this demand!!

An excellent place, beautiful interior with lovely design. Great for a casual date with a beautiful lady! (Not included!!) Pub quiz on a Thursday is a cracker. Aperol spritz is a winner if you ask the right guy to make it ;)

As a local who has been enjoying this venue for years, it’s disappointing to see the quality of service deteriorate. The dark haired man behind the bar is particularly rude. Sad to see our favourite local lose its appeal.

For a friends funeral they were utterly fabulous

Didn’t stay here but visited the pub. Great pub, very cozy and grand however staff weren’t very freindly or welcoming (except for the American bartender she was nice). It was almost like they didn’t want to be there and gave off a blunt and judgmental vibe. Don’t think they are used to seeing unfamiliar people. Defiantly the least hospitable establishment and wasn’t very nice being here. Brace your self they didn’t have any prices advertised nor a drinks menu, I paid £6.70 for a pint of Guinness which wasn’t bad but these prices may change depending on how they feel? Also the toilets were not maintained and there was no money being spent in the establishment, I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t clean their beer taps. Asides from that good pub and great interior and decor.

Spectacular pub, but with variable beer

A lovely old London boozer. Very ornate. A 15min walk from Lords. Not sure I'll be going back after seeing your Food Safety Rating online Update: I noticed the food hygiene rating has been upgraded to three stars. So that's a great improvement.

As a resident of Maida Vale for more than 20 years, I’ve frequently visited the Warrington. I was really disappointed last night that the manager refused to serve me because he heard me talking to my friends about the slowness of service. My comments were not directed to the staff and it was a private conversation amongst my friends. I find it to be incredibly mean and unfair.

Good place, great area, great building, fast friendly service, good beer (food temporarily off due to refurb)....

Excellent service and customer care for an issue that wasn't their fault. The hotel bedrooms being refurbished and they had cancelled all bookings. I had booked through Agoda. The site should never have allowed me to book. Sharon, the manager, had tried to contact me. When we arrived, she went above and beyond what she needed to do to ensure I got somewhere to stay AND help with dealing with Agoda to help me get my money back. The pub is gorgeous, the rooms are lovely (she showed me) and the location is great for a city visit. Will stay next time but book through a different method.

Best pub ever! Best Guinness too! Ps. And the best staff!

Booked a room for our flight on the morning of the 30th December. A couple of weeks later they have just decided to cancel with no explanation. As if it's real easy to just rebook a short notice over the Xmas/new year period. Highly unprofessional.

I made a reservation from December 31st to January 1st, via Booking, however, to my pleasant surprise, my reservation was canceled today, without any valid reason on the part of the hotel. I think the hotel took more reservations than it could accommodate guests and had to cancel quite a few reservations including mine. This is unacceptable, because I find myself without accommodation a few days before the trip. I do not recommend this hotel at all. I am a travel agent, and in this case, the hotel should have offered me accommodation in a hotel similar or close to the one I booked. On the other hand, he didn't offer me anything. Run away

Charging twice and refusing to refund We’ve enjoyed visiting this pub on and off over the past three years, but a recent experience has left us feeling very disappointed. A couple of weeks ago, we stopped in for a cup of mulled wine. After making the payment, the bartender approached us while we were drinking to say the payment hadn’t gone through. We showed her proof on our banking app that the transaction was successful, but she insisted it hadn’t and claimed the charge would be refunded to us later, demanding we pay again. The money never came back, however we were charged twice. Today, we returned to resolve the issue, hoping for a quick refund or at least the drinks we had already paid for. Instead, we were told by the staff that they were "not authorized" to help and that we’d need to speak with their boss, who wasn’t available. This lack of responsibility and unwillingness to address the issue felt dismissive. Paying £30 for two mulled wines is bad enough, but being charged twice with no resolution is unacceptable. This could have been handled so easily, but now we’re stuck disputing the charge with our bank and, unfortunately, questioning whether to return in the future. It’s a shame to see such poor service overshadow what could have been a simple resolution.

Old school pub with great history and decor.

Fantastic decor! Friendly and efficient staff. Great choice of ales: Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Old Speckled Hen. I wasn't staying at the hotel nor did I eat there. Toilets are downstairs. Definitely coming back!

The Warrington Pub is the place to go on a Saturday night when they blast karaoke. The staff are good, and the karaoke organisers are very on point! 👍🏻

Visited on 2nd Nov 2024 for a drink and was impressed by the beautiful interiors and the festive setup for Day of the Dead. I’d love to come back again! One small note for the management: We were there around 3 PM on a Saturday, and while the place was quite empty, the service could have been better. The female bartender who served us seemed a bit indifferent when I ordered a drink. She did make the cocktail, but there was no smile or welcoming customer service. Initially, I thought it was just me, but on the way back, I mentioned it to my partner, and she pointed out the same thing. While the bartender wasn’t rude, the lack of engagement stood out. I understand everyone can have an off day, but this should not impact the customer experience. Even the other male bartender seems to be quite indifferent. No enthusiasm or a smile l.

A wonderful pub in a very quiet street. The food is ok but the place is really nice and good choice of beers. Fortunately he is there to liven up the neighborhood :)

I could sit for hours with the great beer, the local characters and, most impressively, the Victorian decor

Although I didn't stay long because I was meeting up with some people the atmosphere and the surface I got was great I didn't stay off any of the room so I can't really rates that there's a downstairs on an upstairs and there's also an outside area the outside area isn't very big but it tends to be a lot for people who are either smoking and also I guess when we went it was raining they also have a live band I don't know if it's everyday but we came on the Friday and they were doing a live band on the Friday however I enjoyed the overall experience when I was there prices wise how to say it's about average like most pubs and bars are

Nice pub. It’s just to grab a pint, wouldn’t recommend to eat here. The service is bad.

This place is a homophobic hell hole. Had to call the police and an ambulance for a mate and watch as the pub defended its ‘regular patrons’ against the police. Even the police thought the folks running this place were unhinged.

Amazing, historic hotel. Great spot to catch up with friends or have a biz mtg. Service is friendly and once we worked together to solve the challenge of where wine lists live, everything was good. The local clientele is shiny, well heeled and still has that whole aura of pre-Brexit optimism. Except for that one guy.

Worst staff in London I think they get fined if they smile, you would think the owners would read these reviews & do something about it but like their staff just be bothered. Won’t be going back for sure, AVOID

This pub claims to be handicap-friendly, but it is not- no ramps for wheelchair access, as we learned on arrival.

Be aware that this establishment thinks nothing of cancelling a 7 month booking one week in advance claiming "overbooking". Dont trust them

Lovely pub. Good service and selection of drinks. Nice outdoor area in the summer.

Went with some friends on a wonderful sunny day.. Good location, nice outdoor seating but day was spoilt with , terrible food and sullen looking, unsmiling staff.. The attitude took away the sunshine of the day.. I refused to tip They served food to you looking angry and unhappy . My friends and I ordered two glasses of red wine (twice) and on each occasion we were given white wine.. Staff are unapologetic for their mistakes. I ordered a burger, it tasted terrible, dry bread, cole slaw looked days old.. The person who served it, his clothes was so dirty....the apple pie was served with quirts of whipped cream instead of proper single or double cream.. Will not visit again and won't recommend.

Bar staff were blatantly racist towards a friend. We left. Disgraceful!

Outrageous treatment of a black colleague. Racial profiling at it's worse. So The bar manager, upon seeing him, said "Now we're not going to have any trouble from you" Disgusting treatment then proceeded to accuse him of something he hadn't done.

An affordable PUB with a good Pimms 👌

OK location but not worth the accommodation prices they are asking for. No breakfast is available and children are allowed to stay there. The lady owner told us the place is not insured for kids :( However the gentleman at the bar helped us carry our heavy suitcase to the top floor and the cleaning lady next morning was super helpful 👍

The Warrington is certainly in contention for London's most beautiful pubs. The atmosphere was wonderful and it was quite a relaxed place to get some food and drinks. They welcomed our kids who ended up playing board games while the adults chatted. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend a visit.

Came here after another pub in the area closed. They were still open and serving, which was good, and there was kareoke on which was fun. Sadly we were too late to get our names in before the cut off. Lots of locals who all seemed to know each other, a good vibe there:)

[Food&Pub] The food was quite good! Either the Pie or the Fish and chips. The smashed potato is delicious!!!! Beer is tasty as well. The place is so beautiful and comfortable.

Very cozy local pub with outdoor seating

I love this pub. My first visit was 10 years before Google Maps even started. So you can be the judge of that. Otherwise, I love this place. It was and is my favorite pub in all of foggy London Town proper.

Beautifully restored pub. No loud music so you could actually speak with for friends. We were there on a Sunday evening. Surprisingly there was no food available there after 7pm. A shame for our group of nurses just coming off shift. Not sure if it was just that night or a permanent thing. We enjoyed being there as had a table in one of the corners for our group, booked by one of the group. Very quiet there for a Sunday evening but nice for us good transport links both bus and tube nearby. Maida Vale and Warwick Avenue tube stns.

Had a lovely Sunday roast with the fam. Would do it again.

What a depressing, disappointing pub. Outside looks great. Inside depressing, terrible seating, lazy staff leaving empty glasses piled high on tables. Terrible seating. Thank god I didn’t try the food. Avoid

Interesting how the “bald guy” appears in other one-star comments here. I guess all that’s left for me to say is beware of that fat bearded bald guy.

Went in and asked for 2 ‘happy hour beers’ gentlemen serving asked colleague (with long dark fair) if Moretti was on happy hour and had it confirmed. Served and drank and went to order another only to be told by another member of staff the Moretti was not on happy hour. Asked original lady about charge and she admitted it was their error but no interest in rectifying it. So left and wonderfully as we exited the three staff members laughed at us, when confronted they sheepishly looked away. Avoid the place.

Great Sunday roast, lovely atmosphere.

The Warrington Hotel, a hotel indeed but with a beautiful art deco pub therein. Great selection of beers, both cask and keg, all served by great enthusiastic, efficient staff. This is just a lovely place to visit. This is close to either Maida Vale or Warwick Avenue underground stations. A final note, the steps have a tile saying "Croeso" a welcome to all in Welsh, brilliant!

I did not stay at the Hotel. I went to The Warrington Pub, and it is excellent! Very cozy/warm ambient, good drinks and acceptable food. A lot of board games available!

Had to send my pint of landlord back- it was foul, tasted like lines had not been cleaned. ordered a meal. my wifes fish was old, dry and tasteless. Sons "hunter chicken" looed like someone had been sick on the plate! My mac and cheese just didnt arrive. After an hour i gave up and requested a refund for my meal and my wifes (just as my meal finally DID arrive- again, tiny and unappatising). The staff could not have been more apologetic and helpful and gave a full refund- but they were let down by their kitchen AND sloppy management. NEVER again!!

Had a really nice Sunday lunch with the flatshare. Both roasts and the burger available were significantly above the kind of quality I have gotten used to for similar prices around Maida Vale. Definitely worth a visit.

Increíble combinación de hotel y pub británico clásico. Estuvimos allí cuatro días y tomamos bebidas todos los días en el pub. La comida era excelente y generosa y el personal es maravilloso, extremadamente amable. Para turistas como nosotros, está a 500 metros de la estación de metro Maida Vale. Si tienes la oportunidad, pide la bebida del día, siempre están creando nuevas. Muy recomendable.

Mi primer viaje a Londres. Quería exactamente un hotel como este. Está un poco fuera del centro. Los muebles y el estilo son perfectos. Nos encantó. También era tiempo de Halloween pronto, así que todas las decoraciones estaban listas y las decoraciones de Navidad también. Realmente me gustó el verdadero desayuno inglés. Las habitaciones son bonitas, aunque para nosotros un poco de frío. En octubre encendemos el calor en Estonia.

Hotel typique.Chanbre agréable et confortable. C'est spacieux et propre. Vraiment top. Petit-déjeuner copieux et service agréable.Pour la partie pub c'est top. Repas qui a du goût, ambiance Tamisée et décor just perfect. Super équipe de l'arrivée au départ ils ont été au top.En fait ce pub doit avoir une histoire, on se croirai dans une auberge d'un autre temps so british.Nous on garde l'adresse et on y reviendra.

Nos alojamos en el Game Keeper. Hermosa habitación, espaciosa, excelente vista, cama espectacular. Todavía prefiero el Artesano por el baño. Paseamos por la zona de Paddington, Little Venice y habíamos oído que este sería un gran lugar para la experiencia del desayuno inglés completo, así que habíamos llamado a las 11 am. No nos decepcionó! ! Tuvimos nuestra cena anual de Navidad en The Warrington ya que nos cuidaron muy bien el año pasado. Este año fue aún mejor. El personal era brillante, nada era demasiado problema y fueron muy pacientes. La comida era excelente, la mejor cena de pavo que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Stopped in on a Tuesday night. Wonderful fish and chips and sides to choose from. Lucked upon Trivia night which made for a lot of fun laughter and connecting with people from other tables.

Third floor room. No elevator. Mildew on all walls in the room. Stuffy and small room. Not the « advertised » king bed , but a smaller queen bed. No light over sink. Hard to shave. Good breakfast service.

Sin recepcion. La entrada es a través de un pub pegajoso y maloliente al nivel de la calle. Todas las habitaciones en el 2do piso. Sin ascensor. Escalera pegajosa, paredes en mal estado, alfombras más baratas del mercado. Habitación caliente y sin aire acondicionado. No hay servicio de habitaciones. No hay personal disponible después del cierre del pub. Parche húmedo en la pared con pintura descascarada. En general, la habitación era bastante bonita, pero estaba echada a perder por un hechizo que emanaba del pub o de los contenedores que había debajo. ¡Todo esto y solo llevamos aquí media hora! Mal representado en línea y muy caro teniendo en cuenta lo anterior.

Así que yo y un amigo estábamos luchando por encontrar un lugar para comer y nos topamos con el Warrington en una tarde húmeda. Así que entramos y nos saludaron gratamente. Pedimos la panceta de cerdo x 2 y fue increíble. Gran tiempo de vuelta para la comida y el servicio fue excelente. Enhorabuena a todo el personal por hacer que la comida y la ocasión sean geniales.

We popped in here for a few drinks prior to going out for food, the food in here looked good and we will definitely come in for some soon, the service here was good, the service was good and friendly bar staff

Teníamos el domingo asado y fue increíble. La salsa estaba fuera de este mundo. El tamaño de la porción era enorme.

Siamo stati un questo particolarissimo hotel, sito sopra l’omonimo e famoso pub in una zona davvero carina ed elegante.

ずーっと大昔に、この場所が遊廓だったのではと噂されてる名残が天井の壁画にみることが出来るパブです。内装も凝った作りで以前はゴードンラムジーが所有していたというのも興味深いです。椅子やソファーは破れたものが修理されてなかったのが少し残念でしたが、食事もメニューを見る限り、旬の素材を使ったものがならんでたので、今度は食事でおとずれてみたいです。

¡He probado algunos asados ahora y este definitivamente se destaca! Las raciones son de un tamaño increíble y todo estaba perfectamente preparado! ¡Las zanahorias glaseadas me hicieron el día!

I had booked a Christmas dinner at the Warrington. Two days before my reservation I have been sent an email at 14:17 saying that if I did not confirm my orders by 16:00 of the same day and leave a deposit (over the phone) I would have to order from the a la carte menu. I was also told over the phone that since the kitchen would be very busy with the Christmas menus it would likely be hard to get food from the a la carte menus. Don't understand why I haven't been contacted earlier given that I booked several days in advance. Very disappointed!

I came in for a business meeting at 12 the menu states from 12-6 for lunch. They said at 12 that the kitchen would be open at 2 as 20 people were having a full Christmas menu lunch. Fair enough. Got to 3pm and as I ate something from my bag. The horrid duty manager banned me from the pub. She was disgustingly rude and threatening - she said she would get someone to remove me from the pub. Awful service and honestly the worst attitude from a manager I’ve ever seen. I would like to speak to someone higher up as honestly I’ve never been spoken to like the before and after waiting for over three hours for some chips it’s ridiculous.

One we want to forget. Not a hotel not a 4 star Would not recommend really fed up about our stay.if you want stay in a pub this is fine. It’s such a shame it could be so lovely

Stayed overnight as at lords cricket function so convenient

Have been in here a few times but, having moved from Maida Vale to Kilburn, haven't popped back in a while. Staff were very pleasant, service was excellent and managed to get a seat outside even on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. Sausage and mash and a pint of Becks all very enjoyable.

Anoche fui a encontrarme con un amigo para tomar algo y comer algo y me sorprendió que haya ido cuesta abajo. Han pasado años desde mi última visita, pero la decoración es lúgubre, la comida era normal y ya no hay un restaurante arriba. Una pena, ya que el lugar está en una excelente ubicación privilegiada.

Rather like the curate's egg, good in parts. The room was up to expectation. We are happy to retain towels but used ones were whipped away and replaced each day. Also tea and coffee were well restocked. One negative aspect was the lack of a plug for the sink which made shaving very difficult for my husband. The pub downstairs though was a very different matter. Minimum investment in refurbishment would make an enormous difference to what is essentially a lovely old pub. It was not pleasant to eat breakfast on ripped faux leather upholstery with the stuffing spilling out and presumably not very hygienic either. Also the breakfast was cold on the two occasions we partook even though we had mentioned the fact the first morning. After the second disappointing experience we abandoned breakfast even though we had paid for b&b; and thus had to spend more money elsewhere for breakfast. Sadly we will not be returning.

What a shambles of an operation and a waste of a fantastic, historic building. Being a hotel in Maida Vale one would expect the rather large bar to have lemonade in stock, not have furniture that fell apart when you sat on it, carpets that didn’t stink and NOT serve peanuts to a severely allergic customer who made it VERY clear MANY times that they were allergic.

Inside and very nice outside seating. Good selection of beers and ales. No charge for the bar snacks to go with your favorite drink. Marco is a great bartender. Answered all my questions and let me have a taste before I decided. I thank him.

Fuimos para bebidas afuera y fue muy agradable. Un montón de cervezas diferentes, hay un montón de gente y lo pasamos bien empezar fuera. Por dentro es un pub antiguo clásico. Realmente me gusta!

Este se encuentra en un precioso edificio y debería ser mejor de lo que es.

Classic London pub adored by many! Always has a nice group of people enjoying the outside tables and conversation. the food is very good also. My favorite was the fish and chips along with a nice London Pride!

This is a good local pub. They make a sincere effort but unfortunately the service for doesn’t cut it. Tables are left dirty with leftovers, bar service is slow, communication is poor... To be improved.

This is a great place to stop and have a beer. It has outdoor seating that is wonderful when there is good weather in London and it gives you the chance to talk to people from all around the world who seem to have landed in this area of London

Es un pub local agradable que me visita de nuevo. Gran ambiente y generalmente tienen buenas cervezas baratas en sus ofertas de grifo. He comido aquí una vez (la hamburguesa) y tengo que decir que la comida podría ser mejor. La hamburguesa y patatas fritas eran muy salada y un poco aburrido y me pareció bastante caro para lo que era.

You’ll find all sorts from local sports teams grabbing a beer after a game to neighbors meeting up with dogs in this large pub with in door and out door seating. Good atmosphere with decent food and drink selection.
