Qué lugar tan encantador. Fuimos en el desayuno y no nos decepcionó. Nos atendió una dama llamada Aurora y ella fue absolutamente fantástica. Si está buscando un lugar para sentarse afuera y disfrutar de una buena comida, no busque más. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Londres.

Después de una hora exitosa alrededor de Kilburn Hi Road, apareció en Boka para tomar un café. . . El personal es muy amable, loos limpio, menú y examinado. . . Terminamos con un pescado / patatas fritas y una pizza napolitana. Ambos fabulosos. Las papas fritas eran delgadas, crujientes pero suaves, y la tartara era casera. Mi pizza era excelente, mejor que las cadenas habituales y menores de 7 años. Anchoas, alcaparras, aceitunas de primera clase. Bill 22 inc servicio. Dulce: nuestro servidor llegó con una botella de aderezo de limón / chile / lima recién hecho, lo que sugiere que lo intentemos como el chef lo acaba de hacer. 3ª visita. Buena v fresca, precios buenos. Sugerir nuevos propietarios / chef re-mercado como excelente restaurante. Limpio y amable.

Buscando un buen café / restaurante para un desayuno rápido y encontré a Bokor, que antes era The Betsy Smith a lo largo de Kilburn High Road. Amplio restaurante con un servicio amable de todo el personal. Probé el tradicional desayuno inglés, que estaba muy bien presentado, buena parte, y una comida realmente satisfactoria y también la opción vegetariana era muy buena. Los precios de los desayunos eran un poco más caros que los cafés locales y el cargo por servicio de 12. El 5% era bastante empinado. Disfrutamos de nuestros desayunos con nuestros cafés y nos fuimos sintiéndonos llenos y contentos.

Nettes Lokal, Pub, Pizzeria, Bar, etc. Mit Gastgarten, nettes, freundliches Personal, einfache, gute Speisen. Verschiedene Biersorten. Pizza habe ich nicht probiert.

Me he alojado aquí unas cuantas veces con amigos para el desayuno y el almuerzo.Nunca hay un rastro de grasa en la placa. Buena degustación de platos generosos, y bien preparada.El servicio es siempre bueno, servicial y amable.Me alegro de ver que han hecho con el tarro de azúcar en terrones en condiciones poco higiénicas, ya que tienes dedos para seleccionar, pero el ofrecimiento fue sólo azúcar blanco aunque habíamos pedido de café. Recomiendo encarecidamente el eslogan: amor - buena comida y espíritus!

Great food, lots of vegetarian options, and the staff was nice and friendly. We had dinner twice there during our stay, and enjoyed the veggie pasta, the pizza and the risotto.

Had a burger that was HUGE, the pizza my partner had was a fair size, and was delicious. Service was a little slow even though we were one of 2 parties in the restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful... Would return.

Ahora se llama Bokor tenía cordero asado estaba bien pero como otros la patatas asadas muy duro y verduras muy duro. Sé que al Dente, pero esto llevó a una dimensión diferente. Nunca he visto Yorkshire pud parece tan plana. Tenía el queso queso azul muy básicos mesetas que tenían trozos de la enrolladora aún conectado, que era un poco de cheddar en el lado gomosos. Brie estaba bien. Mi pareja y crema de vainilla tarta de queso italiano de vainilla. Helado era delicioso como me dieron a probar algunos. Todo el personal era muy atento, lo cual hizo el lugar. No estoy seguro de cuándo comer el asado aquí el ambiente es bueno.

Era sencillo pero muy sabroso y con buena relación calidad-precio (alrededor de £10 por persona) para un lugar que parece un poco más alta que el resto de los restaurantes de los alrededores. Sin duda volveremos a visitar. Realmente me gustó la decoración y el menú de cócteles parece super!

Thought we would give bokor a try since it's make over (recent breakfast was reasonable and standard). Really like the ambient in this bar, casual, quiet, clean. Roast is reasonable at £13 for beef, lamb or chicken. Unfortunately potatoes and veg rock hard, beef not best quality/ cut (chewy/ more stir fry beef quality) watery gravy and a yorkshire which was small round and flat (not crispy or cooked properly at all). Service quick and pleasant. I recommend they up their standards with their roast as too many competitors locally (priory tavern still a good one for price/speed/quality)

Travelled from Edinburgh to hear live music and stopped in here for a bite to eat. Very pleasant surrounding, friendly staff and very nice food. Cocktails were also very nice. good value for money

Imaginar comiendo pizza y patatas fritas en una granja de campo con un bar completo. Muy bien iluminado. Parece que los ingleses están abandonando el aspecto histórico antiguo pub para el aspecto fresco de la abuela cocina de granja. Como estadounidenses, es lindo, pero el último lugar que quiere sentarse y tomar algunas bebidas.

Had a lovely time here catching up with a friend, lots of great cocktails & shots, music was good & staff & bouncers were all fab & looked after us

These guys have just refurbished and are now open for breakfast. The new fit out is good but maybe not as cool as the old! The breakfast menu is a bit limited. They should consider pastries for the breakfast menu (not cupcakes) and perhaps offer more than just full English and muffins. The food was fine but I think they could improve the menu and drive more business. We will come back.

I love this place. They used to do buy one and get one free on cocktails.... bring it back! good service from the staff and owners.

The title might be unfair to the surrounding restaurants, but after walking approximately 3500 steps (according to my equally surprised fitbit) and peeking our heads into a few suspect and sketchy resto's, we settled on The Betsy Smith.Admittedly, our 4 family members had only two menu options - Burger and Fish and Chips. We were shocked when the fish arrived. Ornately ordained fish with a small flower and other garnishes, made me realize that this place wasn't just phoning it in. Three different kinds of sauces - ( ketchup...Its a sauce! Tartar, with a unique twist I couldn't put my taste buds on, and an avacado paste) - proved that this place goes beyond the norm. The burger was massive and fresh and not dry. Fries were not spectacular....but they were good.We were happy to find this place on our first day.

We went for Sunday roast. It was a good Sunday roast, generous helping and a good variety of vegetables. The service was fine but not exceptional, but when I came to pay the bill seemed high and I did not realise at first they had added a service fee but not identified they had done it. I feel this should be optional not added to the bill when it was not mentioned anywhere on the menu.

We came here for breakfast, and really enjoyed our food. The portions are generous and the service was goodThe toilets however are awful. It sounds like this place turns nightclub and the toilets reflect that. There are five cubicles. Three of these were out of order and of the other two one had no seat and one had no light. Definitely not impressed.

I really enjoy betsy smith it can be a little pricey but totally worth a visit the cocktails and pizza are so incredibly good

I lived nearby until Jan and loved Betsy. The had amazing pizzas, salad, sandwiches and cocktails. I wish Spaghetti Carbonara came back in the form it was when I first visited Betsy 2 years ago. The molecular one is not that good.

I have always liked this pub. I've been coming here relatively often for the past 6/7 years. But recently the people that they have working the door, who are incredibly rude, and who were very aggressive towards one of my friends a few weeks ago, have been really letting the place down. I will not be going here again because they made me feel like my custom wasn't valued. It's actually quite intimidating to walk through the crowd of them hovering at the front door. I'd rather just go somewhere with nicer staff. Plenty of places to choose from in Kilburn.

Lovely quirky little pub, with quirky decor and lovely staff, really enjoyed this little pub and would highly recommend to anyone.

Men on the door didn't seem very professional and I didn't feel safe around them at all. They wanted to charge us £5 to get in dead as it turned 10pm. The place was empty, on a Saturday night so I refused to pay. Went to the bar & had 2 cocktails for £10, hardly any alcohol went in & as he mixed a little too much ice he put the leftover to the side for the next customer? We then had a beer each which was watered down & over priced. I really wouldn't bother...service was bad, drinks were watered down & over priced. We left after an hour

They do really good cocktails, went there regularly after work for a number of months until they begun to have incredibly rude bouncers on the doors (at 5.30/6 on weekdays?!) that wanted to search through laptop cases which seemed completely unnecessary and dodgy so our group stopped going. Food is hit and miss. They have some really great bartenders and their cocktails were always very good.

We arrived early but even then service was slow but we coped. Drinks arrived and then the food at slightly longer intervals than we would have liked. One consolation was that the food was excellent. When leaving it was obvious that every table was full and several were waiting and we heard one table asking where were their drinks. It is always a mistake to take many bookings when you are short of staff. We might try it again, but not for Sunday lunch.

My wife and I popped due in to the good reviews as we were staying in the area overnight. Quirky vintage relaxed decoration and they were playing great music. We had a Mohito each - one passion fruit and one blueberry. Both were delicious. We shared a seafood platter starter which was huge and very tasty. The wife then had a pizza (cant remember the type) which had ample toppings and she remarked on how soft and easily tearable the dough was. I had a vege burger and chips. We both agreed the food was delightful but we were beaten mainly because the starter was so big. The staff member was very friendly and we liked the atmosphere. Would go again.

Very nice place, attentive staff and good pizzas, good beer selection as well. Nice outdoor seating (although a bit noisy from the street). Would recommend.

I booked the small upstairs area for my birthday, for 25 people. I paid a deposit which was given back in cash on the night, no other cost or minimum spend. The area was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and we were nicely separated from the main bar and dance floor. The area was just about the right size with some seating and some standing. Staff were friendly and security stood on the stairs so no one else came into the area.

I had my birthday party at the Betsy Smith, the staff were very professional and friendly. The venue was decorated beautifully by the staff, all in all it was an amazing night. I would definitely recommend this venue, and use it for future events.Sandra,London

Popped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning whilst visiting daughter in the area.Very quiet but food was really good - freshly cooked to order and much tastier than the bland offering in a nearby cafe the day before.Great value for money and attentive welcoming staff.

The environment is wonderful ... considering it is on Kilburn High Rd ... this is a little gem in the midst of the caos. The decor is quirky and has a vintage feel. The staff are wonderful, kind and considerate. Nothing to complain about with the service.The food is brilliant! Always satsifed when I leave The Bettsy Smith. Their pizza's are really good - and their lunch deal of £5 makes it even better. I also had their Bettsy Salad - which is just perfect, with chargrilled chicken, bacon and applewood cheese. The portions are nice and big. And I love their Sunday roasts! It's a place you can go to with your friends or with family depending on the occasion or if you want some drinks, they have a great happy hour. Overall a chilled place with food, atmosphere, drinks and service at a top standard.

We organised a leaving drinks event here and reserved the back half of the bar for a private event. The staff made the whole thing very easy and looked after us the whole night. Although there were some issued regarding what time we had to give up the space, the venue itself was very well catered for this sort of thing. The cocktails are absolutely fantastic and with happy hour to boot, we all ended up staggering out...

Popped into the Betsy Smith on a Sunday evening we had the Pizza Ronda chicken it was delicious,and not so spicy that you didn't enjoy the flavours and the size was perfect for 2.

We went for the topside beef Sunday roast and were disappointed with the quality of beef which had a substantial amount of fat and gristle which we had to cut off. The gravy was burnt and surpringly watery. On paying the bill I made sure to tell them and although there was an apology, nothing was taken off the bill as a gesture of goodwill. Judging by their large pizza oven in the kitchen I'm guessing that pizza is what they're accustomed to making so if I was daring enough to visit again... I would probably stick to the humble pizza. To end the evening I was welcomed by a grotty and dimly lot toilet with crude graffiti all over the doors. Not the traditional Sunday roast I was expecting in brief!

Alcuni amici appena arrivati a Londra mi hanno chiesto di mangiare British. E quale miglior posto se non il Betsy a Kilburn? Credetemi è assolutamente da provare, forse è un po ' fuori mano, ma con il 98 si arriva subito!Il cibo è di alto livello,specialmente i burger di Angus da 450 gr. con bacon tostato su un soddisfacente letto di chips! Se vuoi c'è anche la Peroni! Servizio ottimo . Il locale è molto caratteristico, assolutamente da visitare.

We love this place...we come for breakfast as often as we can, sometimes for a meal. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is great with interesting, quirky decor and little corners to tuck yourself away in, Music played is varied and usually pretty cool. The full breakfast is fabulous and later in the day the burgers, pizza and other food tasty and good quality. For a short while they changed the breakfast sausages to not such good ones but when we said please bring back the earthy, tasty ones which have now been reintroduced...they listened! Possibly one of our favourite pubs.

Really enjoyed Sunday afternoon with the family. Great food, great service, great ambience, and fun background music. We will definitely be back.

During our stay in London we visited the Betsy Smith on the first night for a drink and really enjoyed the atmosphere with unusual decor. We decided we would return for a few cocktails and something to eat another night. We arrived at the venue around 9.30 and after studying the extensive drinks list and making a decision we were informed they had stopped doing cocktails for the evening. It wasn't really an issue, we were just a little disappointed. At 9.50 we were advised that they were closing in 20 minutes - again we were disappointed. We only wanted to go somewhere for a few drinks after a busy day in London. We then found another pub a little down the road where cocktails and serving times were not an issue. We didn't want a late night as we are now back from the pub by 11.15 . Such a shame as we would have liked a few cocktails (priced around £7.50 each) and possibly a light bite. Such a shame as there is competition in the area and we would have stayed there had they been able to accomodate with food and drinks.

I used to be a regular when I was living in that area and this was one of my favourite places to meet friends! I also went with my family and I tried quite a lot of their dishes, I must say they were never disappointing! Sunday roast was nice and their cocktails are good too! Their pizzas are really good Italian pizzas! The staff is always friendly and polite although not everyone is 100% well trained I think. One of the last times I went I asked more bresaola and less ham/salami as the person I was sharing the board with wasn't eating pork. They got the order wrong and they had to send the border back to the kitchen. It looked like no one ever asked something like that. The place is overall worth a visit and more, the prices are fair and the food is tasty, the decor is really good! Plus, the atmosphere is chilled and relaxed so you don't feel like you have to leave as soon as you finished your meal!

Visited here this morning for breakfast with my partner and my 2 teenage kids. All I can say is AMAZING. Hot, tasty and fresh. And good value for money. Service was excellent and catered for my daughter who is really picky with her food. Would definitely recommend. Better than paying £16 per person for a continental hotel breakfast

Have been here on a few occasions..love the decor and the ambience..food is quite good too...but if your'e in an electric wheelchair forget it! there is a small step and they have no ramp...my mother couldn't gain access so we couldnt go in, bought this up with management and not sure if its been rectified to become an 'inclusive' pub, but I don't think so. So, if you can walk in fine...if not then not for you!! Betsy Smith this is London 2015 you are a contemporary pub in a cosmopolitan city in an area with an ageing local population...

After running around like a headless chicken all afternoon I stopped in here for a snack and a cold beer. It was early evening, and so the place was not busy, but it had a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I had the marinated chicken wings, which were delicious and my waitress was lovely.

I live down the road to Betsy Smith and have visited before in the week and also taking my family and friends there. Decided to take my cousin there on a Friday evening around 10pm for a drink and was denied entry by two very RUDE power hungry bouncers and another little man referred to as 'the boss.' We were asked for our ID's which is fine and we were then given a head shake as 'the boss said no.' due to us being 20 years old. Which is fine if this is their guidelines however it was done in a very rude patronising manner and made us feel belittled. I certainly will NOT be returning as a regular customer.

Excellent all round. Very helpful attentive staff too. Food is good and well priced. Great space at the back for a small party too.

I find myself coming back even though I've moved out of London. I love their non alcoholic cocktails I had the eggs Benedict it's was lovely. I shall be coming again.

Go there for the beer garden at the front but not the food, they offer a good selection of cocktails to give them credit. Not amazing but not that bad

Went with work colleagues and the bouncers searched laptop cases - incredibly strange. They also have a limited selection of beers and its usually empty/lacking atmosphere. Though they do have cool decor and quite nice cocktails.

Very nice breakfast menu, good food. Fresh oranges for our juice were collected from the market next door. Great burgers as well.

Food was amazing!! Think I'll need to go back before leaving London. I had marinated chicken, in pesto, corgette, mozzarella and crispy chunky chips mmmmm.

I went there for a light bite and a cocktail with my Mum late in the afternoon, the atmosphere was good, the bar decor provides lots of conversation (very quirky), we both enjoyed our cocktails and the nachos. The staff we very friendly. Thanks!

I often visit the Betsy Smith as it is one of my locals in the area, if you want a great service accompanied by friendly and helpful staff this is the place, the pizza is excellent.

This is a great little pub in north west London. It's quirky and comfortable (without trying to hard), it has a good selection of imported larger, and it serves phenomenal food! (The cocktails are also pretty good by the looks of it!)

Immediately when you walk in you realize that the décor is very different. You can't help to enjoy the charm of this place. We had the pizza. We chose a pizza that you would not get in the USA. It was very good but extremely different.

This is a gem in the middle of Kilburn! Friendly staff, amazing pizzas, great cocktails and most quirky and charming design. Highly recommended if you are ever around.

I wanted to have lunch but once in I've been completely ignored from the staff although it wasn't busy at all ! The guy at the bar kept cleaning and drinking although he was aware I was sitting there waiting, a lady had come to great me but the she never came back to me with a menu or to take the order but kept cleaning the tables they both saw me but none came to look after so I left immediately ! What a shame I would never raccomand this place to anyone ! Best to avoid

We went on Sunday, they ran out of roasts at 5pm, we got offered the full menu which I really wish we would of left then! The start was the worst this I've ever started, my main was something that resembled road kill! Huge bits of cold fat The roasts what I saw going out where huge, I would love to give it another go, but slightly scared

My wife and I stopped here for dinner. We found the service very good, the staff friendly. Decor was funky and eclectic. Good mix of younger and older folks, outdoor seating nice on a warm day. Our food was fine and the portions large. I recommend eating here and although a Smith, no relation.

i went there tonight , after a long time , i've been living in this area for at least 10 years,before it use to be "osteria del ponte" , the place is nice, there is a dj boot as well !betsy smith pub ,for me is like a second home, my sister and my nieces just love it!the waitress are good looking girls, always smiling and providing a very good customer service. Vanessa is one of them. they also provide sky tv sports program for the public. nice place.

Was staying locally in the area with work and went here for two of my evening meals.Food was very nice and different (although the Mackerel looked suspiciously like Aldi Mackerel). Nice chilled beer and nice area outside to sit in the sun.My only grip here was the inability to get a VAT receipt, for some reason I wasn't able to get one and the receipt I did get had the VAT number missing. Not sure why.

We visited this pub on the advice from friends as a good fun place to dance and socialise.Although the decor was unusual the music was varied but somewhat repetitive but was able to at least get up and dance.Service at bar was ok but it would serve better if there was a price menu for drinks.Shots seemed Ok although I'm not a great fan but did have several.The place wasn't very packed and lacked any real ambiance.Unable to comment on food as we never ordered anything.The security at the door insisted on being shown ID so If you take a trip here make sure you have something.Would I go here again .... Well maybe I would try a Saturday night just to see if it's any better.

We visited early evening on a Sunday for a couple of drinks I had Pimms which was very well-presented. The décor is unusual and interesting - made me think of what I think a pub in New Orleans might be like. Would definitely visit again.

Fancy decor, friendly service, interesting items on menu... but just to read, not to eat. We had 2 starters and 2 mains and were very disappointed by all the dishes, rather bland and not cooked or overcooked. Quite pricey, even with tastecard.Good place or a drink, maybe not for a meal!

A bit on the pricy side, but you won't leave here hungry. The dishes are large, but the beer selection is almost non-existing...

This pub was great indeed! Unfortunately things have changed and not for the better. Service is now very poor, with surprisingly arrogant guys at the counter.Shame.... it was such a lovely place to have a fresh beer and a good pizza!

I spent some nights in this Pub and I can say that this place in nice.There are numerous types of beer and ciders with normal prices.During a night, I ate a pizza. It was okay. It was a typical frozen pizza. For 5£, it was fine.

The cocktails at the Betsy's are fantastic and decor is one to come and explore. Food is great and I absolutely love Pizza Rustiga here. They also have the best nachos I have ever tasted.

This was our first visit to this bar and we were suprised in a good way.Set up is quite interesting and place is really big.Service was nice, atmosphere was good,cocktails too.We ordered salads which were quite small but very tasty I must say.Will definitely go back !

Great pizza deal during the daytime. Bar staff seem to change quite frequently but always friendly and you can't beat £5 for a really nice pizza.

I came here with my work colleagues as part of a very belated Christmas lunch last week. The service as very slow considering they knew how many of us were coming. We had bread and olives to share as a starter then went onto the mains. It took a very long time for them to arrive. I had the Betsy Burger which was absolutely massive. It was nice but feel the ingredients were a bit cheap. We ordered deserts and I had the 'deconstructed banoffee pie' which wasn't presented very well. Anyway, it tasted quite nice until I found a bit of green foil in it. The manager readily apologised and took it off the bill. She asked if wanted anything else, so I had a free cocktail. It's a nice pub for drinks but I don't think I'd eat here again.

Went here on a Sunday for a quick Lunch, had been here once before and had a terrible experience vowed not to go back-But did and boy did I regret it. Service was only there were two young girls working and although they were inexperienced the were pleasant. The food was a joke I ordered a fillet steak with potatoes-The steak tasted like sausage and everything on the plate was stone cold couldn't eat it-My partner had a veggie burger which looked and tasted terrible but at least it was semi warmed up. Don't serve food just for the sake of it-Never again!!!

We visited here on New Years Day for Breakfast. First of all the waitress spilt breakfast tea over the table. They had ran out of sausages which can happen.However i ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was appauling. I chose the option of cooked ham rather than salmon but what arrived was either chicken or turkey that was clearly from a packet. The hollandaise sauce was not. It was purely a mixture of tomato sauce and mayonnaise. Dreadful, i hope this is a one off.

Living quite close by, I occasionally venture into this place. Possibly one of the better places in Kilburn yet never quite convinced. 2 for 1 nights are great but the cocktails are never of great quality. The lemon juice is bought in bulk and is quite overpowering some drinks (zubrowka martini) with its taste while other are simply too sweet like the cherry blossom. Also when asking if it was possible to close the door, I was told it wasn't possible due to the kitchen?! It is something like 5c degrees outside, there is a chilly draught and you can't close the door until the kitchen is closed at 11pm? Weird.

I had read good reviews of here but we were disappointed, drinks were very over priced (£30!) for a bottle of prosecco, I know this is is London but that's very expensive. Even the house wine was expensive. Food was nice but the mains were a small portion and again over priced , burgers were nice but not amazing and cold when they came out. Our food (3meals) came out at separate times too. They also added a service charge which for a pub I believe should have been optional. Overall a bad experience and I would not go back.

I booked The Betsy Smith after googling 'quirky restaurants in London' to visit for Sunday lunch with family. After seeing the décor and 'Narnia's wardrobe' seating area, I booked for 3pm on Sunday. The staff were very helpful in sorting us our preferred seating area. We walked from Kilburn underground station, the walk took a very long time and I began to think that there wouldn't be a nice restaurant in this area...As we opened the door, we were pleasantly surprised to see the gorgeous décor and bar! The staff were friendly and attentive, and our food was delicious. The Sunday roasts in particular were very good and a great portion size. Even the child's portion was very generous! We had a main meal each and shared 2 desserts - really good food and very well priced. We also shared a cocktail teapot which was lovely. We will definitely be back - but will travel to Kilburn Park station instead!!

The Betsy Smith used to be my favorite place in the neighborhood to take friends for a good dance and not too expensive cocktails, I would even come the morning after for their full English occasionally. However, after my recent experience, I will NOT be returning. Last night I invited a group of friends for a celebration, and we were having a wonderful time until a homophobic bouncer got VERY aggressive with my friend because he had taken off his button down shirt and was wearing a sleeveless shirt which apparently is not acceptable for their "dress code" which is not posted ANYWHERE on site nor is a type of place that would require one. The bouncer was also quite aggressive and pervy with my female friends that were sticking up for my male friend who was being kicked out for not wearing a shirt that covered his shoulders. Although the manager Florence did try to calmly talk through the situation with me and explain, she claims she could not do anything about the bouncer's behavior because he was hired by a separate company. I appreciated her effort to try to explain, but very disappointed that no real action was taken to reprimand such bigoted and aggressive behavior. They lost 20 customers that night, and myself as a regular local. Bouncers are meant to be there to protect the customers, not pick fights because they are bored and perve on the girls, really disgusting behavior.

Went for brunch waiting for phone to be fixed. My bf ordered a really good club sandwich so go for that. The eggs Benedict weren't the best, maybe the worst I have every had. The toasted muffin wasn't toasted, way over salty, eggs served broken and the hollandaise sauce was cold. It had this really odd grey colour. We left those and shared the fab sandwich.

You absolutely can't beat the Betsy Smith. Great food and huge portions, great value, awesome music and friendly and efficient service! I wish I lived closer!

We went to this place for a family dinner as it looked pretty awesome online and the reviews were great. The place itself has a great design inside and the cocktail list was pretty impressive. We have chosen a couple to try and were not disappointed. The starters were ok; we had the roasted pumpkin and cheese fondue which was not what was expected but tasted alright and scalloped potatoes which were presented rather nice. However, when the mains arrived, they was not what we expected at all! The Betsy's burger tasted very dry with no flavour and the only good thing about the whole dish were the chips. The waitress didn't ask how we would like the steak cooked and we had to inform her yet when it arrived, it was not medium but rather well done to medium (ish) and again very dry and flavourless, baring in mind this dish would usually cost 17 pounds! Finally the duck was as poor as everything else with warm(ish) mint mash on the side and again, very blunt flavour. When we asked to exchange the duck for something else as it could simply not be eaten the restaurant refused and said we had to pay for an extra dish if we ordered it. Overall, definitely wouldn't recommend for food but for drinks, go for it.

“Rudeness - Regional Manager”We have been customers of Betsy Smith for a couple of years and we had a terrible experience last Thursday when we asked politely the regional manager why the taste card could not be used on Thursday when on the taste card website shows it can be used. She started treating us with disrespect, she is extremely rude and unprofessional. They need to get rid of her. I will never go there again.

We came across this place by chance, as we were staying at the Marriott Maida Vale some 200 meters down the road. The first thing you notice is the furniture. No table is the same and the chairs are antique (at least antique looking) leather chairs, very comfortable. Once you have a seat and start looking around, there is an enormous number of funny details (like the upside down flamingoes, the christmas-light staircase and the garden gnomes guarding a sewing machine on top of one of the doors just to name a few). We had dinner there, and came in for breakfast the following two days after that. The staff were very friendly and chatty, and the food was good and reasonably priced, a mixture of pub classics like fish and chips to more restaurant-y dishes like roast duck breast with mint mash.Will definitely visit again next time I am in London

Molto particolare ed eccentrico, anche se la clientela è sempre molto easy-going (siamo pur sempre a Kilburn!).Molto piacevoli sia i tavoli interni che all'aperto. L'atmosfera è sempre molto rilassante e viene naturale sostarci per un bel po' di tempo davanti ad una birra fredda. Discreto anche il cibo. Ho provato sia i burger che la pizza e devo dire che non mi hanno mai deluso.

Went there using Taste London Card so 1/2 price mains. Even at full price the staff were attentive and the place was very "funky". Food was really good especially the gnocci and the chips. Great value

The first time I've visited the Betsy Smith it was AWESOME - the food, the drinks the service - all great!!! Now obviously I've visited a few times since and unfortunately it doesn't live up to that very first time anymore. I still like the interior and I haven't experienced any rude (only lovely) service. The quality of the food and drinks though are very different. There is an amazingly experimental chef working in this kitchen, which sometimes works magic (like the first time we came or the first cocktail I had a week ago) and sometimes is plain wrong (Mojito Tuna Tartar and they've accidentally swapped sauces last time over our two dishes). I still like coming here though… but wouldn't go for a meal anymore...

We rented a flat in this area of London when visiting last winter. The area is great and a resident in the area told us to try this place. I would give this place an "average" all the way across the board. The food was okay but not memorable. The beer was okay but mostly imports (we like trying local or regional things when traveling). The staff was okay but the service wasn't nearly as good as a lot of the other places we ate in this area. The place is uniquely decorated, and there is a lot of seating. It's easy to get to and wasn't crowded.

My parents had arranged for us to have a family Sunday lunch here but I was dreading it after reading the reviews. I have to say though, I was indeed, pleasantly surprised! The pub wasn't too busy and we were able to get a table without booking. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had three roast chicken dinners and one veggie roast dinner. All the meals were tasty and plentiful and good value for money. It was "pub grub" but on the good side. We didn't have starters and were too full for puddings. My only criticism is that the drinks were on the pricey side. We would definitely eat here again.

The management double booked our table. when we asked for another table, the 'regional manager' screamed at us for 5 minutes, then threatened to call the police. .Terrifying experience, stay well away!

Shockingly rude staff, to the point where they ignore you at the bar if its busy. They over charged on a bill never even apologised. Food was ok for pub food.

I love this place for a drink, especially on a 241 Thursday night if you like your cocktails. The range is varied, and there's a few on the list that are absolutely incredible. I'm a big fan of the Jaffa cake cocktail. The staff are a bit touch and go, quiet weekdays they're often absolutely lovely and attentive, but on a busy Saturday night they don't cope too well under stress! I've popped in a few times for Saturday morning breakfast; the pancakes are delicious, as is the eggs florentine. I used to live round the corner on Brondesbury road, it's the best drinks venue in Kilburn for sure.

It is just a standard pub, no more than that. While staff is generally OK, the manager appears a bit unprofessional. Minor booking mistakes (easily and kindly sorted out), a bit slow service, not a large selection of beers or food, and a bit expensive cocktails for what they actually are. Nothing is terrible, nothing is great. Nice atmosphere overall. I wouldn't mind going there again, but I wouldn't plan it.
