Personalemten lo consiglio, ho mangiato un buon tipico Sunday Roast nonostante fossero le 7 passate. Mi spiace leggere recensioni negative con argomenti non c'entrati, è un pub non un ristorante.

Very pleasant evening meal. The steak and ale pie had all the flavour you could ask for. My wife enjoyed the salmon and vintage cheddar fish cake. If visiting try the Campden Head Ale

I didn’t expect the food to be this good when I came in. I was attracted by a sign that said £5 pints which in London is a rarity. The menu looked really good so I ordered hunters chicken, it was very reasonable at £12.50. The quality was high. Really high. If you’re in the area then definitely consider food and drink at this place. It’s highly recommended.

Staff were friendly and nice, and the drinks choice were good, loved the vibe of the place too. My only complaint is (not to sound too old!) the music is just far too loud. On a Friday night there were tables full of mates chatting and catching up, but once the music started blaring, many people left. I woke up with a sore throat from shouting and a headache from the noise. I think a good rule of thumb is if you see half of your patrons on their phones cause they can't have a conversation, or else everyone is 2cm from each others' ears, veins bursting out of their necks while talking...then the music is too loud.

Overall a good pub with decent DJ and reasonable prices but please sort your staff out. We also run a pub and I can tell you most of the staff, in particular the young lad with a ring through his nose, wouldn’t last 5 minutes. Absolutely no manners whatsoever, rude and lazy. Everything was an effort, huffing and tutting when I was ordering drinks. Half of them spend more time on their phones than attending to customers. Apart from that it was a good night, just could’ve been made better by friendlier staff.

Ginger Manager was obviously drunk and very rude, this was completely unprovoked and unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend going there under any circumstances, even the staff looked like they didn’t like him.

Quite simply the best pub in Angel, so welcoming and a great atmosphere anytime of the day Summer is coming and this place has an awesome garden Will be back

This pub deserves "zero" We paid in advance ONE HOUR ago and still waiting for three hamburgers. Staff personnel really incompentent and unpleseant Dirty toilets

The staff could hardly be any more rude - ordered a very overpriced burger and my friend did the same. About half an hour later , hers turned up. Fifteen minutes after that, another was unceremoniously plonked in front of me, but was not the chicken burger I ordered but a beefburgers. When I realised I told the server who completely silently whipped the slate away from me, presumably to replace it. This was followed by another member of staff claiming we had only ordered one burger (sorry mate, but our visa records show differently)... cut to 30 mins later, still no burger, I ask what's happening at the bar, the so-called barstaff didn't even respond but went to the kitchen, came back and plonked a cold chicken burger on my table (while I was still at the bar) without even acknowledging my existence... short of this is AVOID THIS PLACE

What a horrible traumatic experience, never again! Me and my friend (two girls) went there for late night drinks after being at a live gig at the Dublin castle, we were sober and polite at the door. The security (African origin) tall and absolutely disgraceful, went ahead and made a remark about my appearance saying he didn’t realise I was a woman, then giving us the dirtiest look possible and saying he might not let us in. His colleague then came and said we can go in but then went on to ask us for our number when we were in the smoking area and when we politely said no they went on being rude again as we were smoking and kept shouting to move down and then up again the smoking area even though it wasn’t crowded. I started feeling Ill and getting stomach cramps as I felt intimidated and as if they wanted to start a fight with two girls. I felt at risk and threatened by security which I thought were there to protect us. I tried to tell the security how I felt and was asked to leave.

Really nice pub, and food was very tasty. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely return.

Alright place, for what it is. Only went as it was across from the hotel. Nice pint. Not much else to say. Friendly stuff, would go again if I was in the area.

An unjust occurrence is what i shall be calling this review because that’s exactly what this experience was! Me and a few friends aged 20 and 19, were enjoying a few drinks after spending a fair amount in this establishment. Then we were a victim of ageism… I say this because we were thrown out due to apparently touching girls inappropriately. We never did anything of the sort and we even told the bouncer to check the camera! I say ageism because I guarantee this would not occur if we looked older and we looked like an easy target.. so if you ever come here as a group of youngsters please avoid.. hope this review prevents any similar experiences in the future!

I am wondering if there are two ‘Camden Head’ pubs? We made for this one but I think maybe I got the wrong one? It was early afternoon and not busy which unfortunately didn’t help. This meant you could see all the dirt and smell all the smells of this place. It is probably more of a night time venue and does advertise gigs and event nights. I would imagine it is good for that type of thing, where people wouldn’t be bothered about the dirty floor and bar and the below par toilets. For day time drinking as couples with friends, I would suggest elsewhere.

Absolutely wonderful place. Real Camden charm which you can’t get many other places. Staff are nice, great djs at the weekends and open late!

Rude doorman wouldn’t accept my ID even though it’s a legal form of ID, they gave no explanation! Horrible place.

Where do is start? Everything about this pub is amazing! The friendliest staff I have ever experienced, great atmosphere, great drinks and even better prices. This is honestly the place to go if you find yourself in Camden and want to find a nice pub. I come here regularly and go solo as most of my friends don’t drink, but every time I have went, I have met some amazing people and it’s now at the point where I go in and it’s impossible not to see someone I know. Prices £5.50 for a Heineken but that is a brilliant price for London. Most other pubs you go to will want £6 or more for the same drink. Great atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly people and part of the pub turns into a dance floor from 10pm to 3am on Friday and Saturdays. There is never a bad day to visit but I highly recommend Friday and Saturdays. You may see somewhere callled “Blues Kitchen” opposite with a long queue but it is overhyped and overpriced. This truly is your best bet for a great night in Camden. I highly recommend you come here. Mr Heineken

Ci siamo fermati qui perché molto affamati a orario pranzo. Abbiamo ordinato due fish and chips e ci sono arrivati dopo quasi un'ora dall'ordinazione! Purtroppo fanno pagare prima di mangiare (compresa la mancia per il servizio scadente) quindi non potevamo alzarci e andare via. Pub tradizionale, abbastanza sporco. Non consigliato per il servizio, mentre il cibo era nella media.

This is the only pub in Camden where the bouncers are problematic. Over the years I have seen them squaring up with random people in the queue swearing at people and I do think something very dodgy is going on with them. The bar is fine pretty average but the bouncers really let it down Please spend time training them. They have been there for years but this is a major issue letting down a good pub

Nothing happened to me I was just fine and managed to get in and enjoy my night, but while in the smoking area, noticed the bouncers manhandling people for absolutely no reason, they dragged an old man outside like a dog, no human deserves to be treated like that, if it was me I don’t care how big you are I’m landing as much as I can, bouncers in this place are scumbags not ready to deal with people, place needs some serious security with some decent people skills, overall had a good night

Nice bar, and while they're doing their best, I was out off by three people begging in about 90 mins... What really disappointed me was that after drinking and eating for that time, when we asked for the "Happy Hour" cocktails as on the website, the inexperienced barman had to ask the manager about them, who, instead of coming over to us to explain, sent the young lad back with some story about having to book?? Even he was apologetic and TBH didn't really understand what her was telling us. The manager / person in charge couldn't even make eye contact, he was so embarrassed. Lovely halloumi fries, nice tasty chicken wings, but don't believe the hype... Oh and the gents is pretty dire...

Nice pub but wow who knew you would ever have to book if you wanted to participate in their happy hour - poor show - one way to get rid of the tourists - happy to take your money for beer and food when not booked

Came here off of the suggestion of someone we met in the airport and had a great time! The people were great, comedians funny, and not to mention it’s free! Such a fun concept.

Ruined my friends birthday. Sexist bouncer and staff. Left our friend to be on her own because she was too ‘drunk’ when she’d had one drink and there were several sober members in the group. Horrible horrible horrible.

Aside from over priced drinks, the Camden head security team are terrible. They are violent, terrible.

If you’re planning on going blues kitchen don’t bother! Way overhyped and full of idiots. Camden Head is much more relaxed and fairly priced! Great for a few drinks before moving on to a club! Brilliant tunes and atmosphere.

Wow. The funniest night I’ve had a in a long time. The Guinness served went down a treat! This establishment is a hidden gem of angel for sure! If you’re looking for food, fun and a laugh-look no further!

Came here for a drink and their £5 substantial meals. Service was very friendly and relaxed, so welcome as opposed to other places that are pushing you out the second you finish eating. Nice atmosphere, good food, and great music.

Very chilled during the day and has a high standard of comedians performing on various nights upstairs. I highly recommended Smokey burgers. Staff are quite friendly too. Very busy on the weekends be prepared to queue if you don't arrive early.

Went to the Camden Head on a Sunday night not sure what to expect. What I found was .... great vibe - chilled and relaxed. Food - amazing quality and value. The smoked burgers are delicious. And the added bonus of free ( pay what you want to at the end) comedy show to top it off. Will be hard to beat this in Camden for a good night out especially on a Sunday night. Sean McLoughlin hosted the comedy and he was brilliant too.

I came here on a Friday night for a comedy night. The comedy club is upstairs in a fairly small intimate room. The acts were good, good selection of drinks and while I didn't eat the food looked nice.

Place with the best burgers to take pictures of, if you are a food blogger highly recommend taking pictures of the smokin' burger. Lovely staff and great entertainment at the comedy club upstairs

I visited the pub with a few girl friends one evening. Two men were abusive and after a long story the bouncer asked me and my friend to leave because 'we were women' and it was easier. Absolutely terrible! After complaining to the bar supervisor the only suggestion he had was that we stay at the other side of the bar away from them!

Come mi sembra di aver capito funzioni nei pub a Londra entri, ti siedi dove vuoi senza che nessuno ti accolga, guardi il menù che generalmente è sul tavolo altrimenti te lo procuri, vai al bancone del bar, ordini e paghi. Noi abbiamo preso 2 hamburger (di cui uno vegetariano), due patatine fritte e 2 birre per una spesa totale di 29 sterline. Porzioni abbondanti: gli hamburger erano affumicati molto buoni a mio avviso. Birre classica. Locale molto affollato e rumoroso ma nel complesso ti mette a proprio agio. Cosa chiedere di più?

La hamburguesa me encantó. Era bastante original y aunque algunos digan que servirla con humo de leña es una tontería, lo cierto es que le da un punto bastante bueno. Por la noche ponen música y se anima bastante. Ponen todo tipo de música: de los años 80, a rock, pop, comercial y algo de reggaeton.

Ambiente agradable aunque no muy grande. Gama decente de cervezas aunque muy larga espera para comida. Encontré un lugar para sentarse y disfruté de la cerveza y las patatas fritas.

Three of us called here for a beer after a theatre evening last night - and were told they didn't serve bitter! They no longer serve real ale, and the beer is much more expensive than it was. £5.80 for a pint of froth is excessive, in a place that's not in the West End!

We went to the pub to celebrate a birthday but once we arrived we were not let in and we were given no explanation. I walked in first and the bouncers allowed me in (so the problem wasn't it being too late or the pub being too full). My friend was next and he was refused entrance with no explanation. I went back to the bouncers to ask what happened and I was kicked out too. I kept trying to ask what the problem was, another person from our group tried as well. We didn't receive any answer other than "go away" and the door slammed in our face. Between the 6 of us we still don't understand what happened.

I feel bad for giving this a 3. The food is a strong 4, the venue is a strong 4, but combined it doesn't work.

I think ive been at The Camden Head at least 5 times, and every single time the food was amazing, as well as the attention of the people who work there. I had the regular burger and you can choose various smoking options for it. I recommend the sweet potato fries as a side, with the traditional smoked burger with cabernet. The whole meal costs only 10 pounds, plus the cost of the drink. I recommend!

On a Sunday afternoon out with friends we were in Camden drinking looking ofr anywhere that would feed us all (9 folk in total) and came across the Camden Head. A small dark number that offered outside seating which was ideal as it was a late warm October sun outside.

Great pub great atmosphere. Enjoyed our brief visit will be back . Nice selection of beers 🍺 went to the jazz cafe after great meeting place will be back soon

My partner and I went here for our first ever comedy night experience and it was absolutely fantastic!! The comedians were hilarious and the atmosphere was buzzing. We stayed afterwards to drink and have a dance we were surrounded by such friendly people and had a fantastic night. We can't wait to come back!

Cuando se busca algo que hacer en Camden, un sábado noche Camden Comedy Club resultamos ganamos. Conseguimos algunas entradas muy asequibles y no nos decepcionó por la comedia. El lugar es muy íntimo que me gustó.

Cené allí con mi familia, no teníamos reserva pero el personal rápidamente nos dieron una mesa. La comida es deliciosa y viene en grandes porciones, tienen una buena selección para los vegetarianos.

Menú muy corto, pero entonces la comida debe ser BUENA, ¿verdad? Y lo fue. Los dos de nosotros tuvimos smokie hamburguesas de pollo que eran realmente fresco y delicioso. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar para grub (y vino blanco seco) y sin duda volveremos.

10 of us visited on a Friday night for the comedy night which is free and takes place up stairs. A popular event so you need to arrive early to get stamped. Limited seating but you can sit on the floor and stand round the sides and at the back too. A small intimate venue with a great compere and a number of comedians. Short slots. Some were great, some were poor but this was part of the rawness of the comedy club. Would recommend. Amazing that it is free too (You can make a donation at the end)

I went in for lunch at around 1pm and the place was empty apart from a group of three. There were no bar staff in sight. I waited at the bar for three or four minutes before anyone appeared to take my order. I went for the vegan burger with a point of IPA. The staff were polite and friendly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time but sadly it was pretty bad. The bun was a cheap, dry sesame seed bun much like you'd find in that last beaten up pack of supermarket value burger buns after the first good BBQ day of summer. The sweet potato fries were okay, the grilled aubergine slices on the side were an odd choice and were a bit tough. I can't see myself going back, given there are many better places to eat in the area.

Visited the Camden Head to go to the comedy club upstairs. It was an excellent nights entertainment and laughed more than I have in a while. There were five comedians over the evening some with shorter slots than others but all were very good. The compare had worked there for a long time and was very good at keeping the audience warm between acts.On this occasion there was a pertially sited man with his dig Woody who seemed to be one a bit of a judge during the night. Everyone was friendly and dud the venue being small made for good audience participation. Seating was adequate do not go expecting total comfort but a bit to be muissed night full of really good conedians who came from all over the country and from other countries. Very entertaining please do not go if you are offended easily everyone is fair game.

Very generous serving size and beautifully cooked. Staff great. Slight downside was the the banquet part of the seating, very shabby.

Tipico pub de Camden, un poco ruinoso pero muy concurrido! La hamburguesa "ahumada" no estuvo nada mal. Como minimo se puede decir que es una experiencia divertida.

I went to the Camden Head for lunch and ordered from the three part menu. I picked the Smokin' vegan burger (there are also original or chicken) with whiskey barrel wood smoke (7 smokes to choose from) and chips (again lots of sides to choose from). It arrives in a smoking glass dome which is so fun and theatrical! What an amazing, fresh approach to vegan food! Absolutely fabulous texture and the peanut, coconut sauce was amazing. It was £10.00 which was incredible value and seriously the most incredible flavours. Can't recommend these burgers highly enough. Fabulous lunch, lovely atmosphere, great staff and great choice of wines too! Can't wait to come back!

Staying with family in Angel and they took us here for the comedy night.Have to say it was the best two hours I have had for a good while.8 comedians with a 15 min slot each,an excellent compère and a decent glass of red wine to sip on meant a really excellent night.Some big names Dara etc play here so I would suggest you give it a try.We shall certainly be back

If it wasn't for the comedy club upstairs, this place would not be worth a visit. Staff rude and ignorant. The service is terrible. Toilets are dirty. Stafd needs a wake up call. However, the comedy club saturday night show is good and good fun for around £10.

I and my friend were looking for an affordable place to eat and stumbled upon this bar with a very short menu. However, the burgers very absolutely delicious. We tried the Whisky barrel smoke which gave a nice quality to the meat. I'd be definitely going back next time I'm in Camden.

Staff have been ignoring us for 15/20min at the bar, serving customers randomly. We were trying to order food and one of the staff members left the bar chewing on something. When I told the gentleman being the bar what I thought of their service his answer was that it was busy and finished with a: "Go, just go!"It was not busy, it was very badly managed. We've been coming for 3 years and love this bar. I told my friend about your smoked burgers.I am expecting an email from the management.

The Camden head bar and comedy club has a great atmosphere for a evening out with friends. Their chips, snacks and smoked burgers are a delish. I'm not sure if it were a bad night for watching comedy, but the selection of comedians didn't bring what was promised. Sad but otherwise a cozy place to watch comedy.

Came to London on my birthday on 02/01/17 and found this pub, went in, really busy for a Tuesday but plenty of helpful staff. Had a couple of real ales and cocktails for the wife. The barmaid explained all the drinks too me and took the time to make sure we had a good time even though we only stayed for two drinks that lasted about 40 minutes, this is how customer service should be in this country, unfortunately most place are let down badly, but not this pub, excellent well done.

We visited the place just by passing in front of it, and it was absolutly delicious ! The service is classic pub, ordering at the bar. Short menu, but serving just a few dishes (well, burger or vegan burger may be just one), the place serves an incredible burger. You order your burger, your side and the smoke. Not only the ingredients are fresh, perfectly prepared and baked, the smoke burger served under the glass is delicious. We went back two days in a row just to enjoy it again !

The burgers are served in a glass case which is filled with your choice of 5-6 different smokes. Really cool idea. My gf and I tried the vegan burger and the regular one. Both were really nice. We also had the onion rings and the guac balls which were amazing. Affordable prices and good service. Would definitely go back!

El local está ambientado como un irish pub: oscuro, madera, una gran barra, etc. Le faltaba un poco de orden y limpieza. La camarera que nos "recibió" fué bastante seca y antipatica. El camarero que nos atendió luego ya fué algo más amable pero sin excederse. Han tardado casi 30 minutos en servirnos la comida. Las burgers muy buenas. Lo de la campanita del humo bien, me esperaba más. Le da un saborcito a la burger pero nada del otro mundo. El precio normal, no es barato pero no es caro.

Iz and I stayed with friends round the corner from this pub over last weekend in Camden... what a great Local.The bottled Cornish Orchards cider was delicious and washed down the whiskey smokey burger beautifully.The music and the vibe was jumping and much appreciated by the dancing crowd of friendly people from all corners of the planet. I met a guy from an old Chelsea family who comes here because its still "real, a local mathematician who cares for a wheelchair bound student, Brazilians, French, Irish, USA types... it was endless and nothing but friendly. Even the bouncers are nice. Doom and Gloom merchants should pop in here on a Friday night to judge the mood of the people post Brexit

Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur ce pub lors d'une visite au marché de Camden.Agréablement surpris par la spécialité du lieu, le "smokin' burger" ou "hamburger fumé". Barman plutôt sympa qui a pris le temps de nous en expliquer le concept. Au final très bon choix dans un quartier très touristique et donc pas forcément des plus typiques à première vue.

Was served by an awesome chap called Steve. They have gammar ray on tap here which is awesome and the best burger I've had for a while. Smoked burgers are definitely the way forward!

This is what it's all about here. We just popped in and had a lager then websaw the comedy advert and we have been guiden by this waitress on how to buy them quick, and we had a good time with the comedians, bar staff wore a bit overwhelmed with new staff olso.. But all was good in all. Will definetly come again

Pub inglese con cucina poco varia e porzioni servite su taglieri in pietra di dubbia igiene sostituendo di fatto il piatto da portata. Pulizia locale e tavolo molto scarsa.Hamburger vegetariano discreto, di carne nella norma, fritture terribili. Pessimo odore all'interno del locale. Il personale sembrava passato li per caso....

El sitio es un Pub más de Londres. No destaca por nada particular pero es bueno en general. Tienen gran variedad de cervezas y una carta de hamburguesas bastante buenas! Las hamburguesas las terminan en una salsa ahumada que le da un sabor bastante bueno. La atención no es tan rápida como en otros sitios de Londres. Recomendado para comerse una hamburguesa diferente.

We did a pub crawl around Camden after walking around the market for a few hours and this was very lively with a good atmosphere. It has a comedy club upstairs which we didn't visit but It looked like it was busy. Nice for an atmospheric drink if you are going to have a few!
