The Assembly House in Camden

This venue has the most incredibly friendly staff. Add to that, it's lovely decor and perfect pub atmosphere and we have ourselves a winner! This is my favourite place to be. I would highly recommend 5* (Great for football also)

Popped in for a couple of halves before meeting my friend and going to see Kneecap at the Forum. Plenty of space and seats in a big pub considering it was a Friday night.

Had a very lovely cherry bakewell cocktail served by a very lovely and friendly waitress - plenty of space and tables, lovely lighting and nice music.

Just had my 70th birthday there together with my twin. They have an area there which is wheelchair accessible, which isn't easy to find. The staff were so helpful especially the manager Leila. We ordered the party food which was delicious. Compliments to the chef. A big thank you to Leila and her team.

My wife and I had a rather odd experience. I went to the bar and waited in line for the staff member to take my order. The staff member looked at me and then to the person to my left and took the other person’s order first even though they came after me. Another staffer came and again asked this other person their order before turning attention to me. Then my wife went to the bar a few minutes later, and the same thing happened. Given that we were most probably the only non-white people in the bar or that particular bar area, this was extremely odd and upsetting. We hope this was an aberration.

I had a lovely visit at the assembly yesterday, great atmosphere, musics good and service is even better.

It took 45 minutes for our food to come out, which was after we asked. When the food was thrown at us we were told it was only ready now. I find this hard to believe as it was barely warm. There was no up sale and the check back happened when we had finished our meal. We have a feeling that none of the staff were enjoying the evening. Good thing rugby was on and the customers were enjoying it.

Good venue for a meet up or to catch a game on the big screen. Food was ok.

Yet another fantastic visit to this beautiful venue, staff as always amazing 🤩 Might have to stop in on the way back home ....

What a magnificent pub. From etched glasswork throughout, high ceilings, bare wood floors and the large windows, including a beautiful skylight offering plenty of light, this really is just a great place to sit down and chill. There are so many taps here that you could not possibly be disappointed in you choice of tipple. A small step up to enter the pub should noy discourage wheelchair users to bypass this place, and once you're inside there is plenty of space between the furniture. It also lays claim to the smallest beer garden (see the chair provided). The Guinness and the steak sandwich was excellent as was the grilled haloumi and IPA.

Sorry to say I'm one of the group that found the place less than satisfactory. Food, we were told would take 30-40 minutes. Apparently my son said it was 70 minutes and only after I went and had a chat with the bar staff. Tables that came after us finished their meal before we were served. My chicken was tepid (can the cook be given training on how to use a microwave) but the chips were nice. My wife had scampi, this comment is aimed at senior management not the pub, the so-called scampi should be renamed crispy bread shell with a hint of fish. We dissect one. Shame i didn't photograph it. All this waiting meant we just got into the concert in time. No time for a quick piss before taking our seat.

Good pale ale for my partner, and Big Tom for me. Three large spaces, probably at their best when crammed full for football/sport on two screens. This was a quiet night, so it was possible to get served quickly and have a quiet conversation..

Went here last night (Thursday) before going to a gig nearby. We had the katsu burger and fish and chips. The katsu burger was tasty and had a nice flavour to it. Nice to see different things on a menu too. The sweet chilli sauce was a hit. The fish and chips was ok. I’ve had better in pubs. The batter was average and the fish a little chewy making me think it wasn’t hot enough. But was edible and I didn’t flag it to staff. Highly recommend the blood orange lemonade. Great atmosphere here for friends, dates, colleagues. Just has a brilliant decor and light. Would go again.

Large pub, clean and tidy. I arrived just after they opened and was pleased that the ale was in good condition. Some pubs are a bit slack with the first pint, but not so here. I had the grilled halloumi in flat bread, with chips and salad. It was quite filling, and very tasty!

Haven't eaten here, but been a few times good drinks selection. Great local traditional pub and decor. Friendly bar team and spacious surroundings. Would mention that white wines and bubbly have been warm each time, should be cold [er] specially with the price of the above [Bachus] they need to be chilled ;) otherwise all great and recommended if in Kentish Town, convenient location by the station 👌🏼

So, feeling hungry I popped in on my way home for some fish and chips and a glass of prosecco. Got served just over 125ml of prosecco for £7.50. Fish and chips were good, but won't be going back. Not prepared to pay £7.50 for 125mls of wine.

Nice enough pub. Ate here and had a beer before heading to the kentish town forum for a good. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was good and the food was decent.

It was completely packed because of the match, but the lady who served me (Paige) was competent, kind and sweet. An asset to this place!

Went to watch England vs. Slovakia, service was really good, even though quite busy. Got there 2 hours before kick off and plotted up in a decent spot for the game. Friendly crowd. Prices reason around £6-£6.50 per pint and tap beers tasted good.

Dropped in before 5pm during the week was greeted by really welcoming staff members. Had the 3 small plates offer and asked for recommendations from the person who took my order. I felt really looked after by the front of house staff working, they went above and beyond hospitality service. Food was DELICIOUS!

Kentish Town would be a shell without this historic landmark at the top of the main drag. Staff are great and the food is excellent. 4 stars for atmosphere only because it can be a bit quiet 'for its large size' midweek, when there is no footy on. Thursday to Sunday, though, it's proper.

Great vibe. Food was mid-tier. Great beer selection once you can get the attention of any of the staff trying their hardest to ignore you.

A good spot to meet friends before going to Kentish Town Forum, the beers are decent and there’s good space. Be mindful of seasonal events is all I’ll say, around Christmas it can be extra busy. Food, while I’ve not had myself has gone down well with friends.

Stopped here for a quick drink before moving on to a friends house. Sadly, no ales were on tap but our server was friendly and helpful. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food /

Booked a table for some food, the menu was much better than any other green king pub we have ever been to, and the food was excellent. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Stopped in before a gig at the o2 forum during the week. We both had pie and chips, the pie was home made and huge, chips were frozen chips but cooked like hand cut chips and the smashed peas were actually awesome. Not bad priced either.

Sports on TV was far too loud, it's not as if the commentary ever have anything of interest to say. So loud that people had to scream to be heard, this spoiled the atmosphere

Good bar. Just a pity how long the food took the staff should communicate at service point if there's going to be a wait. Top marks for staff giving us a refund though as we had a gig to attend.

I am new to having be Dairy Free due to a newfound allergy, and am very nervous about eating in restaurants because of my horrendous allergic reactions. This was the second place I’ve been to since becoming DF, and the service was AMAZING! I booked online and put in a note about my allergy; when we arrived, they had an allergy menu on the table already for me to access. The options were wide and varied, and when my food came, it was noted as being the ‘dairy free’ version of that meal. Which was incredibly helpful, to know that my allergens had been respected in the preparation of that food. Overall, I was with four other diners, so our food took a little while to come, but when it came altogether it was delicious! The staff were friendly, and kept us updated about when our food would arrive.

I’ve been coming to the Assembly House for the last 10 years, but in the last 6 months it has become the worst pub around Kentish Town. The food is not longer nice, making the McDonalds around the corner, a worthy competitor … but that’s not even the worst thing, because the service and the beers are simply awful. It’s sad to see a Kentish classic going down :-(

Great pub on the corner of a busy high street. It's spacious and has lots of options for seating. The service was good, and it was the perfect place to catch up with an old friend. We had some great food. I had a beyond meat burger which was lush.

Has definitely had a well needed revamp since I was last here (much needed), and overall I would definitely recommend it - especially for sport as they have a massive projector and it seems relatively quiet, so maybe a bit unknown. Beer is on the slightly more expensive side for the standard fayre.

Super efficient, friendly and helpful staff. A cool spot for coffee. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Went in after after seeing eagles of death metal, and both the ladies working, even though late and got very busy late on, still had a smile and happy to carry on.

Well, The Assembly Rooms, situated on Kentish Town road, just north of the underground station. A pavillion of a place with high ceilings and a wonderful skylight in the back room. The east wall is graced by a series of engraved mirrors looking really attractive. There is a horseshoe bar surrounding all the 'work' areas. It all looks really attractive. Star Wars stormtroopers have also visited and posed for a group portrait perhaps by Reubens or Michaelangelo except it's monochrome so maybe not. Plenty of beer both cask and keg with all the expected Greene King offerings. Beer 🍺 lovely and cold. A great visit, largely thanks to the staff who were friendly, efficient and just great.

Big old Greene King pub in Kentish Town. Decent beer choice, much better than the average GK house. Food menu looked good. Lovely old building and well worth a visit.

Real good burgers and they have my favourite lucky saint. Smallest portion of chips with the burger for £13?
