Deightful experience and ambience. Looking to watch the Rugby Internationals, drove past one of our NW locals and ended at the junction where the Junction is, so said why not? Polite warm young staff, publican and the friendly 4-leggers Teddy and Bella.

We were visiting from Canada and found this wonderful pub. We LOVED the energy and atmosphere. We came back a few times because we loved it so much. Sunday roast was incredible and we came in to the pub to watch a football game (they have tons of tvs to watch games!). The food is so delicious (honourable mention for the beef dip and pastas) and the staff is incredibly friendly. The bartenders were great! Will definitely be back next time we visit London. A bonus for us was the very cute pub dogs! We don’t get to bring dogs into pubs in Canada so it was such a treat to have furry friends to drink with.

I don't think I have enough words to describe this place. It's an amazing local pub, the team is lovely and the food is amazing. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a long time. It's worth mentioning malbec, it was a really nice surprise, great taste and quality.

I have recently rediscovered this pub and have been pleasantly impressed. It’s a very friendly place that serves great wine at very reasonably prices. You must try the Pinto Noir it’s excellent. I think the fact that there’s now an alternative venue in Tufnell Park to watch sports is invaluable. The chef Louis is passionate and committed to making the pub a success and works incredibly hard to promote the highest quality. I hope it succeeds so I can continue to watch sport, enjoy good food and wine in a pleasant environment.

Went for a Sunday roast on the same day as the two people who left 1 star reviews.. so strange as we thought it was excellent.. tender meat, great thick home made gravy, big portions.. our party had beef, chicken and pork belly and all were 5 star.. Genuinely can't understand why people would complain.. Good luck to the new owners.. ** just editing this as we came back today as a group of 4. The Sunday roasts were top-notch - superb quality meat and huge portions.. ...if I had to be a tough critic, I would say the landlord was short-staffed at the bar but tbh the wait was never more than a couple of mins.. he also knew numerous locals by name, which is a massive positive.. As such, bumped the review up to 5 stars all round.. I would deffo check this decent local pub out..

This gorgeous pub has been recently taken over by a lovely Canadian couple who are bringing back the true spirit of a neighbourhood pub. Sit outside in the peaceful back patio, inside the solarium, or by the Victorian fireplace. Try the halloumi fries and ask for a dram of the special Irish Whiskey. And be sure to greet the locals including Simon and Barry, who pop in every day to enjoy a pint along with the ambiance and friendship.

Very disappointed with bar staff , just live literally 2 mins away so popped in for a drink …barman was on phone talking in his own language so wasn’t sure if he was staff or not . But then he came to me and asked me if I wanted a drink , I replied yes but finish your call if important- so he went back to talking on his phone !! Meanwhile , I can only assume a “regular “ walked in and the barman , who was still on his phone started pouring the regulars drink ! So I asked what was the situation..he then put his phone down and served me ! If this is the customer service we are going to expect from the JT i sadly can’t see it being opening for long again :( shame as it’s a lovely pub !

There’s one huge problem here and that is the pricing. I couldn’t believe my eyes or ears when I learned the price of basically anything. I drove so I had alcohol free Guinness. £7 for 0.0% Guinness is extortionate. Elsewhere it’s usually £4.5-£5, which still is expensive, but then a pint of regular Guinness is about £6.20-£6.90. I rarely have a pint of normal Guinness for £7, let alone a 0.0% from a can! A person in front of me at the bar also ordered an IPA and pointed out to the staff that it was the most expensive IPA he’s ever had. On the plus side, the location is lovely, the space - in particular outside space is amazing on a summer evening. Such a shame the prices are too high. Every other pub in the area was packed when this one was nearly empty.

Unfortunately I live very close to this pub. The noise last night was ridiculous. They hosted a wake with a large crowd of people which went on from 3pm with people in the beer garden till after midnight, which is unacceptable for a Monday night. After that the crowd spilled out in to the street where they hung about for ages, with one of them vomiting all over my front steps. I've just been round to complain, but the landlord didn't seem that bothered. He gave me a very insincere apology. I'm sure he must have raked in several thousand pounds last night. How nice for him, less so for the local residents

An Unforgettable Experience at the junction tavern My dinner at the junction tavern was a real gastronomic discovery. As soon as I entered, I was charmed by the elegant decor and the warm atmosphere that emanated from it. The setting is both modern and refined, perfect for an evening with friends or lovers. The menu is impressive, with a varied choice of dishes to suit all tastes. I opted for the Moroccan chicken salad, and every bite was a pure delight. The presentation was neat, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. My dining companion chose the beef hamburger, and we were both won over by the balanced flavors and the creativity of the chef. The service also deserves a special mention. The staff was attentive and available, without ever being intrusive. Each dish was presented to us with care, and their wine recommendations were perfect. In conclusion, the junction tavern is much more than just a meal, it is a true culinary experience. The combination of impeccable service, delicious cuisine and a welcoming setting makes it an unmissable address. I will return with great pleasure and highly recommend this place to all lovers of good food.

A Delightful Dining Experience at the junctiont avern I recently had the pleasure of dining at the junction tavern, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, welcoming ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. I opted for the the green thai veg , which was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My dining companions were equally thrilled with their choices, especially the salt an pepper wings , which was a clear standout. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive without being intrusive and had excellent knowledge of the menu, helping us navigate the wine pairing and dessert options. One of the highlights of the evening was the atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner or a lively group the junction tavern strikes the perfect balance. Overall, the junction tavern offers an exceptional dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, superb service, and a wonderful ambiance. Very sad Sunday roast at the Junction Tavern today. With exactly 5 dishes on the menu to choose from and only one option for non meat eaters, I expected the food will be well prepared at a minimum. Vegetarian option was stuffed mushroom with Mediterranean roasted veg. A medium size portobello mushroom arrived topped with chopped butternut squash, aubergine and tomato. All minimally cooked and inedible (ever bitten into raw aubergine?) . It was swimming in what tasted like extra salty bisto, accompanied by a potato (not a roastie), a carrot, and an abundance of raw crunchy green beans. To add insult to injury, I paid £20 for this largely inedible pleasure. To add further insult to the insult, this was he same price my friends paid for practically half a chicken with similarly inedible trimmings. The pub with its big lovely garden was mostly empty on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The staff were not skilled or helpful. So sad. This used to be such a great pub years ago and will jot survive unless it gets good again.

Unfortunately this is a bad review. Was here today for a sunday roast and it was not good. I had the beef and being kind it was like poor school dinner at Christmas. The beef tasted processed and artificially tenderised and was a sad colour between beige and grey. The gravy was a horrible glutinous slop that tasted like a bovril smoothie. The yorkshire pudding was ok and the potatoes while not in anyway crispy, were edible. When I searched hard enough in the litre of thick gravy I found some undercooked green beans and over cooked carrots. I also found a nasty curly hair. The portion was ridiculously large. Such a shame as i am sure the newish landlords are trying to make this a success. I hope it improves…

The worst experience ever!! We ordered the family roast platter that was meant to come with bottomless Yorkshire puddings and unlimited gravy. However we did not get that. The service was horrendous!!! We were served our food without plates or cutlery which left us just looking at our food while we waited. We ordered drinks which didn't come and was charged for them at the end. Everything was all over the place no one knew what they were doing. The amount of times we asked for something it was ignored. Horrible Mother’s Day Experience. This was not my first time at The Junction, but it will probably be the last one. The food was quite average, it’s normally better but desserts were just outrageous, came late, tiny portion for the price and extremely cold. What really ruined our experience was seeing all the waitresses having to run around sorting everything out and having to apologise and deal with problems they didn’t cause, we got a glimpse of a conversation they were having with their manager and it was awful seeing such lovely girls being talked to like that knowing they were doing a lot more and better than him. We had to ask one of them for his name since it really shocked us the lack of self awareness and respect, it was Ryan, we ended up talking to him and his attitude was just shocking and so poor that we decided to leave before we were planning to. Really badly managed, extremely overbooked for their capacity and terrible work environment.

Terrible food at the Junction- 5 dishes on the menu were unavailable. They didn't tell us that until we asked for them so there could have been more. 3 of us had to go with the vegetarian chilli which was supposed to be a chocolate chilli. It was barely a chilli, tasted like it had just been made, light, no substance with soft tortillas shells. The person that had sea bream did not even want to talk about how bad it was so as not to ruin the evening. We asked for fresh mint tea and got old mint leaves in a tea pot with a black tea bag. When we said we did not want the tea bag as we didn't want caffeine late at night, they clearly just took it out and returned the teapot back to us and the two people that drank it could not sleep. We went here rather than our regular pub close by as it was closed. I suggest that if the service and food is so truly awful on a Monday that it would be better not to open. We will certainly not be coming back which is a shame as we are all local.

Disappointing service despite excellent food! While the food was truly excellent, the service unfortunately fell short of expectations. Here's what happened: Waited 10 minutes for menus: Upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes without receiving menus. Shouldn't they be readily available or offered immediately upon seating? Out-of-stock dish and lack of follow-up: One of us ordered a fish course, but a few minutes later, the waiter informed us they were out of stock. He said he'd check with the kitchen for alternatives, but unfortunately never returned. We eventually had to inquire with another waiter about the dish's availability. Long wait for starters: The wait for our first course (starters) was quite long, taking 50 minutes to arrive. Main course served prematurely: To our surprise, the main course arrived very quickly after the starters, while we were still eating them. Unexpected and unwanted dessert: Although we hadn't ordered dessert, one was served to our table regardless.

Kitchen has delusions of grandeur. The prices they charge (any pub in walking distance is several pounds cheaper) - and then to have a default service charge of 12.5%, on food you order and pay for at the bar... Bizarre and overpriced. The food itself is so exceedingly just fine there's no excuse. Nearby pubs are packed full inside every day of summer until closing. There's no mystery why the inside of this pub was empty from 8 to close. Also, they don't pour full pints. By the time it settles you have a centimetre of air. Also, questionable wording on the menu - discretionary 12.5% service charge, then tips go to the staff. Is the service charge the same as tips? If it were, you'd say that. Also, they stop serving before 11.30pm on a Friday, but stay open a full hour after that?

I come here Sunday just gone for Sunday lunch, the presentation was good but the food wasn’t great. Found beef burnt around the sides Potatoes where very hard and the cauliflower cheese was more like just cauliflower. The service was great all the staff was so friendly Harry was looking after us and nothing was to much really lovely young man massive thank you to Harry!

As busy as a busy thing! The Junction Tavern is humming. Lovely offering of both keg and cask. Service is spot on. Half the pub is given over to a restaurant area but empty on my visit whilst pub part and conservatory was rammed, perhaps the reason? People like to dine in the absence of raucous accompaniment. I don't know but, saw a very popular venue with lots of happy people. I enjoyed my Amstel. Lovely staff behind the bar.

We hired the conservatory space for a birthday party and we were really impressed with the space, food (especially the fish and chips board 🤩) and the service was excellent! I would recommend it as a venue for a small gathering 25-30 people or just a trip to the pub. Thank you!

The Roast was very bland. Meat was chewy and flavourless. Gravy was very watery and potatoes were soggy. Visited with my family for Easter Sunday…Would definitely not recommend.

Really nice pub but not a tavern. Standard beers on tap, nothing exciting.

Food here was decent. I got the chicken pie and mash. I really liked how the pie was wrapped but their mash potato was so bland!

Small portions of food and service was a bit disorganised. One meal was missing - the pub did refund more than they obliged to however. £58 for two meals, no starter, 2 drinks, Not cheap

We have been coming to this pub for about 20 years. Tonight was the first time we’ve been since the refit 6 months ago. It’s such a nice place, the garden is lovely and they’ve done a great job with the interior. The new staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. It’s a perfect pub in a really nice bit of north London, and close to Hampstead Heath. The new menu is solid, my only complaint is it’s a bit overpriced.

Despite the long wait for the food (short staffed on the day), the restaurant's atmosphere was lovely and the manager's great service was really appreciated. It wasn't anyone's fault that staff members called in sick, and in light of the situation the meal was still great. Bad days happen sometimes in hospitality, but an apology and great service fixes everything. Thanks again :)

Terrible terrible terrible. That sums it up!!. One hour wait to be told that they are under staffed and that they don't know when and whether!!! they can produce the food we ordered!!...seriously!!... not sure how this place is in business...food kept coming out from the kitchen being wrong and going back to the kitchen to be rectified!...total chaos!!!...what a horrible experience!.. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Matt was amazing. Great service and the food was incredible. They said they were short in kitchen so the food took a bit longer but it was well worth the wait. Will be back soon!

My parents and I went in this place randomly for lunch and had a very nice surprise! The place looks great, the food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful! For reference, we had the fish and chips, the Beef & Guinness pie with cheddar mash and a pan roasted sea-bream with beetroot risotto - all of which were very good!

Fabulous day. Great atmosphere. Great company. Brilliant food and super staff. One of the best times I’ve had in a pub with so many friends. The staff treated us like royalty. Have never had such tasty food and the marmite roast potato’s were out of this world. Would definitely return, just need to refresh my wallet as we went a bit over the top.

I work at a company above the bar and frequent this fine establishment. The bar staff, food and service are all impeccable. Would highly recommend this to all fellow patrons in the area curious to wet the whistle before a strong night out: To name a few the stand out staff our Staff who have served me through thick and thin, even when my dates were asking for Angela: - Brian - Faith - Jack Yours sincerely, Jasper, Senior Analyst

This venue has the most incredibly friendly staff. Add to that, it's lovely decor and perfect pub atmosphere and we have ourselves a winner! This is my favourite place to be. I would highly recommend 5* (Great for football also)
