The Arnos Arms Harvester in Enfield

Very disappointed with the pub this evening!! Food not that great!! No water on the bar as before! No game machines!! Had to send our food back due to it being cold!!

Great pub, great food and lovely attentive staff! Always enjoy my trips to the Arnos Arms and very excited for the re-opening!

Doesn’t seem to be many pubs around here. Gave this one a chance. I like ales so found a couple on. Landlord which is a house ale I guess and a guest ale. I chose the guest and it was a very nice summer ale. It’s a big pub. The outside area is huge with lots of private tables. Fantastic summer area for intimate family or friends meet. There seems to be a few games about. Bar football and pinball . I think there are others. This gives it a traditional feel but it’s not really and why I gave it 4 star. My clincher I guess is the £5.10 price for my ale. Difficult to find cheaper around town. May be expensive to some so welcome to London. At the beginning of Last year I found it difficult to find a pint below £5. Bonus here but only 2 ales on so it’s hit and miss. There are of course all the Micro cold fizzy ‘beers’. I guess a wee bit more pricey. Staff seem very nice and ‘on it’. Cheers! I will just say I have no Idea about the food. It’s a big food pub as well.

Friendly welcom to a great pub with a varied choice on draught, including a alcohol free. More alcohol free choice in the fridge.

I had lunch with a friend and the food was lovely . However we decided to have an Irish coffee to finish our meal. After waiting ten minutes the waiter came back to tell us they couldn't be made because they didn't have the ingredients. What!!!!! More likely the bar person didn't know how to make an Irish coffee. Sad end to a lovely lunch.

Came here whilst on a visit to see family in London. I used to come here when it was a Harvester years ago so this is first time at the pub. Well impressed overall. Had a great menu of ales which I sampled a fair few of! I did have one issue with a pie I ordered but that was rectified quickly and exchanged. The burgers are fantastic. The deserts were great and cooked fresh no microwaving a sponge like some places do. Would definitely return here. Thanks

Lovely food, although a little pricey. Disappointed they didn't have the pie but I enjoyed the burger. Staff pleasant enough and nice atmosphere. They do a really nice mocha and cappuccino. I have to say though we didn't appreciate the language coming from the Monday night quiz. Little bit unnecessary to have so much swearing. Maybe I'm just old fashioned 🤷‍♀️

Visited the Arnos Arms on 2 occasions. The first time was a leaving 'do' with colleagues from work and the second occasion was for my husband's birthday, two weeks apart. On both visits, we were met by helpful, friendly staff. I had a meal on both occasions and these would be the only let down of my times there. On my first visit, I had the Barnsley chop, which, whilst tasty, was a tad tough. My colleague who chose the same dish declared that hers was lovely and not tough at all, so not sure what happened there. On the occasion of my husband's birthday, I ordered the fish and chips. The batter on the fish was a bit overcooked and not the golden brown colour you would expect on fried battered fish, which although this took away from its appearance and presentation, the taste and the portion size was good. The portion sizes of the chips and the garden peas, however, were somewhat smaller than the portions my colleagues, who chose fish and chips, received on my first visit. I have been unlucky on the 2 occasions with my food at the Arnos Arms but I promise that these were both genuine issues, I am in no way a serial 'whinger'. I'm sorry that I was a bit too 'British' ( didn't like to complain...for those that don't know the term), and didn't say anything at the time as I didn't give them the opportunity to put these matters right. However, these issues would not deter me from visiting the pub, (and having a meal), again, as on both occasions the staff and atmosphere made up for the disappointment with the food and I had a really good time; nevertheless, I think a wee bit more training on presentation and consistency of the meals would only help to positively enhance the rest of the pub's great assets and reputation.
