Dan and the team were amazing, the food was delicious. I felt so comfortable here and I will definitely be back. Thank you. Everyone was so welcoming and all smiling.

This place is total crap. The website says it opens at 11:00. It doesn’t so we were left out in the cold waiting until 12:00. The web site says it has 6 real ales available. It doesn’t. There are only 3 hand pumps and the bar person had a lame excuse of out of stock. In fact the pumps were covered up. The welcome was apalling. Not a smile or hello. NEVER AGAIN

I went to the Porter and Sorter with friends after work for a few drinks and food. Service was great from Zak who was working behind the bar. Zak sorted out the pool table for us and was so attentive with the food and drinks we had ordered. Definitely would stop here again before getting the train home. Great location for the station!

Worst food I’ve ever paid for. Understaffed and lack any customer service skills and after meeting the manager I understood why. Awful place, go elsewhere

Went on the last Friday of the month for a catch-up with friends. There was a good atmosphere and then around 9 a DJ came on playing lots of old skool songs and we were able to have a dance. The staff were really friendly and the vibe was happy all evening.

Wow. The atmosphere at the Porter and sorter is unmatched, I came here for a quick drink with my friends and ended up staying for hours! Super amazing service and the most delicious food. The Mac and cheese , steak baguette and ultimate chicken burger exceeded my expectations well above what I was expecting. A big shout out to the chefs Abi and Mikey who personally brought our food out!

I've been here for several business meetings and it's always brilliant service. Ideally located just outside east Croydon station so easy to get to! The food is always spot on, the staff polite and the atmosphere is always buzzing. I'd recommend here for anything! Looking forward to their beach party!

Feels like a Wetherspoons but falls short. We did not eat here since it was a quiet time following New Year. The pub was cosy and warm, a bonus in this cold spell, and the history of the building was interesting.

Had a great evening here, thank god for table service as pub was packed with Christmas revellers. Jimmy was our waiter for the night and he was very attentive even though he was run off his feet! We had a small group lunch here, and after waiting an hour and half the waiter comes over to us to say some meals that we ordered are unavailable and that we should pre order next time in a rude manner, saying that the chef said “they can fu** off”a, and when the food did arrive no one was happy. The food was either too cold, not what we ordered or just tasted disgusting. Wouldn’t recommend anyone ever goes here for even a social drink.
