The best restaurants serving British food in England

I can not explain in words the evening I spent at Alchemilla on my Birthday. Very good ambiance. Food was 10/10. Customer service was substantially exceptional. A Huge and bundle of thanks to Alex and his all team who put the real effort to host me at my Birthday event. I will never forget that day in my life!!!!!Such a memorable evening it was. Music was extremely soulful. Thank you again ! 💝⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great pub and atmosphere, came to watch the football with mates and enjoyed it massively. Also great service from the lovely staff especially Charley!

Service was ok, garden is big but lacks plants and that country pub feels to it. Massive TV screen was on with loads of locals shouting at horse racing

The Kitchen and Coffee used to be amazing, don’t get me wrong the place is beautiful and the staff are amazing, it’s just really disappointing that they’ve really stripped back the menu and upped the prices. I don’t feel there’s any value for money that reflects the options or prices. Such a shame :(.

Great place to eat, friendly staff and the food was amazing, could definitely recommend the steak and lamb. We were taken to our table straight away and service was quick..oh if having a starter the garlic mushrooms were to die for. Will definitely be back. Thank you .:-)

Stumbled on this amazing restaurant at the top of the high street in Penzance. We were looking for something different and Alverne did not disappoint. Lovely food, decor and ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Usually pretty good, unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed by my chicken burger and tenders this time. Seemed a bit bland and overcooked. I'll try a beef burger next time, I've enjoyed these in the past, would've gone as far as to say one of the better burgers I've had... Hopefully nothing major has changed n they were just having an off day.

Beautiful part of the country. We stayed over night as went to a family wedding. Rooms were warm and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was superb. George, who worked at the bar and served our meal,was helpful and pleasant. Thank you, George

Fresh juice means "fresh from the carton". Food is bland, without taste and insubstantial portion for high prices. Had to send my food back uneaten and the establishment offered no apologies

We had a huge Sunday roast here, best beef I’ve had at a pub no exaggeration. Really nice, friendly pub will def be back for the bangers & mash ☺️
