The Dore Grill in Sheffield

Went for an early dinner stay a long walk. The food is very nice and all the ingredients were very fresh.

We were a party of 6 for my 35th birthday and we had a lovely meal. The portions were very generous and we were all stuffed! We were served by Ciara who was lovely and offered us an alternative when they were out of an ingredient. We'll be back!

We held my father-in-law’s funeral wake here and were offered warm and generous hospitality by Rebecca and her lovely team. Nothing too much trouble, huge amount of food which received many compliments. It was a really lovely occasion to share memories of a life well lived and everyone was made so welcome. Thankyou.

We went as a family for my mum’s 80th birthday last night - the atmosphere and the food were fantastic - I had been up earlier with balloons, flowers and a cake and everything was perfect. All the staff were lovely but What really made it special was our waitress Ella - she was absolutely wonderful- so attentive and kind to my mum and it really was the cherry on the top for her. Thank you so much Rebecca and the team for making it so special - we will definitely be back !!!❤️

Brilliant food mid week - the chef here is insanely good at desserts. You've been warned. The lunch menu pulls me in and is affordable yet high quality. Breakfasts are good too and you'll not find a better decor - it's gorgeous everywhere you sit and look!

10/10 - The Dore decor, food and service are all exceptional. We went as a group of 8 and everyone in the group had an amazing night and we will all be back again; booked in two more bookings since. Not very often i write a review but my visit to this restaurant deserves one. First visit since it became Bar and Grill and it was fabulous. It was very busy in the bar and restaurant, it was a Saturday night a fabulous atmosphere . The lady behind the bar couldn’t do enough for you from making sure we got drinks to sitting us at our table. We then had the lovely Ella serve us who told us about the food, kept checking we were ok and made the whole night a great experience. The food was amazing , i had the beef shin, ,my husband had lamb shank and deserts cheesecake and crème brûlée , nicest most tasty meal had for a long time. How lovely to finally have a restaurant and bar locally that has great service , lovely surroundings and great food. See you again soon.

Lovely setting, nice food.....but come on guys, twenty one quid for one piece of belly pork. Your portion sizes are way below the standards I would expect at these prices.

I recently visited Dore Bar and Grill, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, I ordered coffee and breakfast. The coffee arrived well before the food, but it was cold. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our breakfast to be served, which was already frustrating, but it got worse. When I finally bit into my sausage, it was raw in the middle. I brought this to the manager’s attention, and they admitted that it was indeed raw. Overall, the service was slow, and the food quality was concerning. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We're local to the Dore so have been a few times. Staff are all very nice and attentive. Pilsner Urquell on tap which is also a bonus. Being regular they always allow our little boy to eat lasagna which he absolutely loves, even though he's a fussy eater.

We are visiting from Canada . Saturday night my brother brought us to Dore Bar and Grill.Oh my goodness what wonderful staff, we were greeted straight away with big smiles ,made us feel so welcome.I have to give Clara a mention,she was amazing, very attentive. Now the food, fabulous.We shared some starters ,bang bang chicken and brutietta, delicious.I had the Cod my daughter had the haloumi burger(haloumi quite hard to get in Canada!) Everything was delicious. Thank you

Food was really good there was a long wait for the food to come out, our server, Clara, was very apologetic and provided a discount, we didn't mind the wait much as we had drinks and were talking with each other. She was very attentive throughout our meal checking in and providing updates on when our food would arrive. The bang bang chicken starter was amazing, the chilis gave a really nice heat. The halloumi burger was absolutely delicious, everyone else at the table loved their meals as well.

A warm greeting as soon as you arrive, seating is varied ranging from the peaceful orangery area at the back, to booths, and spacious dining tables. Very clean restaurant and well presented. Staff are friendly, smartly dressed, well-informed, accommodating, and attentive. Food is of high quality, beautifully presented, good portion sizes, and not ridiculously priced. The menus have a wide selection with dietary needs catered for as much as possible. Staff thank you as you leave which is a very nice touch. One niggle? No disabled toilet but ramp access at the front with seating available on the patio, and inside in the main restaurant. They also serve hot drinks and pastries to take away too. Lovely family style atmosphere reflecting its village location.

I had the Bang Bang chicken starter. Very tasty until I found an unexpected chilli which almost took the top of my head off..I expected chillies but this was dangerous and spoiled the rest of the starter because after my eyes had stopped watering I couldn’t taste anything. The Dore Burger was….well, a burger. I’m not a great fan of burgers but had this as a change. It was ok but nothing special. I don’t drink alcohol but there are lots of Alcohol beers out there - my choice was Peroni or water so I was disappointed in the lack of choice. My friend had the Apple Crumble and custard for dessert. He was very disappointed as the crumble came in a small rammakin and the custard in a small jug with no means of putting custard on top of the crumble. £7.50 for this was really not good.

I booked last minute. The service from Scarlette was exceptional. My daughter loved her vegan pie but was sorry that the vegan burger was not available. My sea trout was the best I have eaten outside Orkney and the fillet steak was perfectly cooked.

As usual had a really warm and inviting welcome when we dropped by for drinks, from Molly. Drinks turned into dinner which was delicious accompanied by the best Pornstar Martinis ever made by Kai. He’s a fantastic cocktail maker and a very charming young man! Will be back very shortly for more!!

Went for my wife’s birthday and we had a superb night, treated to a glass of Prosecco on the house and then a gorgeous a la carte meal. Great attention to service by Simone our waitress. Thank you - we will back!

Lovely atmosphere created by the decor but more importantly the lovely staff. Eva served us tonight and she was professional but also really friendly. The food was good and plentiful. There were several GF options which is always a bonus.

Our first visit to The Dore and we would certainly return. The food was amazing and interesting, not just your bog standard dishes. Special thanks have to go to our amazing waitress Ella who demonstrated incredible customer service through the evening and was incredibly friendly. Definitely an asset to The Dore’s team!

Cannot recommend The Dore bar and grill enough. From walking in the atmosphere was so comfortable. Food was absolutely amazing. And the staff were lovely. I would definitely go again.

I went with my partner and we both had the Dore steak burger, both of which were dry and burnt on the outside. Won’t be rushing back.

Another excellent meal at The Dore, with charming service and a great atmosphere. The Staff here are wonderful, and made us all feel very welcome celebrating our friend’s birthday. The wines (which we had plenty of) are reasonably priced and good quality.

Never dissatisfied with this place, we went last Friday evening for the year anniversary celebration and what an evening it was. The DJ and saxophonist were amazing, the staff were very attentive and welcoming, I’m sure the manager spoke to everyone individually, all creating a truly fantastic experience and evening. We will definitely be back xx

Would highly recommend a visit Me and my partner visited last night (06/04/24) We booked a table which I would highly recommend as it was very busy on arrival. We were seated quickly on arrival. We were seated in the conservatory area in the corner. The decor is very nice and modern and the atmosphere was very nice although very loud from other customers. The ordering process is very simple and quick, the waitress took our drink order then returned to take our food order. Drinks arrived in around 10 minutes after order. I'm an avid Guinness drinker, and the pint of guiness from here was probably up there with the best pint I've had. It was that nice. I ordered a second. The menu is quite simple and offers a small selection per section. The food arrived in around 40 minutes from order to eat, although it was very busy with all the tables taken, so it is understandable about the wait. The food was 10 out of 10 and well worth the wait. The steaks were both cooked to perfection. I had Medium Rare, and my partner had Medium Well. I ended my meal with a sticky toffee pudding that was very tasty and not overly sweet. Overall it was a really nice experience and very nice food. The negative parts Parking - It's clearly not the venues fault for parking, as there's no where they could offer customers parking. We parked just down the road on the street without an issue. The noise - Again not the venues fault as they can't control how loud people talk. If you're overly sensitive to noise, I'd say give it a miss on a busy day

Just has a lovely birthday brunch for my daughter Harriets birthday, the table we had in a beautiful part if the bar,the food was gorgeous and the staff we absolutely amazing,they brought out the cake and they all sang,she had her own little boy band......there were 10 of us including 3 under 5's and they managed to please us all,thanks a million guys.x

We booked for brunch, I requested a table suitable for mum as she has limited mobility, and they saved us a lovely table just by the door. Food and service are equally great. Well worth a visit

This place never fails to disappoint! My mum and I absolutely love it here, the welcome, staff, service, food and atmosphere is everything that we want when we catch up for lunch. Today we both had the fish and chips which was delicious and the batter on the fish was perfect, so crisp and crunchy just how a batter should be! First time, since Rebecca has taken over the running of The Dore. Just what Dore needed, somewhere classy and upmarket for like minded people to enjoy the fabulously thought out menus. Congratulations Rebecca. Lovely Ruby was our waitress, very attentive, knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble. The new Christmas Menu, is very exciting. I would definitely recommend, the prawns and avocado, Christmas Dinner and Pecan Pie for dessert. Thankyou.

An old favourite which has been revitalised both indoors and out. After some considerable time being a closed this venue in the centre of Dore village has been transformed from tired and outdated, to fresh, tasteful and modern but still retained a cosy feel. It is devided into several small dining areas, a rear conservatory and a central bar area. There is also a large covered outdoor seating area with blankets to cover your knees, dog bowls full of clean water and doggy treats to help yourself to. Inside is also dog friendly with the only restrictions in the carpeted areas. The menu is extensive and covers breakfast lunch and dinner. You are also welcome to have a coffee and cake or just a refreshing alcoholic drink... We arrived in time for breakfast ( this menu finishes at 11.30am ) and both had a small English breakfast. This was plenty to meet our needs and included bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, toast and a poached egg. It arrived within a short wait and we were served coffee whilst the food arrived. All the staff were smiling, friendly and helpful. They served us efficiently and not too clingy..... All in all a pleasant experience and we will be happy to return and perhaps try lunch next time. It was a busy place and has a small parking area but plenty of free on-road parking is available nearby. I would recommend booking for lunch and dinner and as our visit was midweek I guess it will be very busy at weekends.

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. A well-thought out menu, modern twists on pub classics, everything well-seasoned and presented. Sadly, however, the experience was let down by the FOH staff who (while friendly) were slow and pretty inattentive. They weren’t terrible, but the difference in quality between the great food and the disappointing service was a bit jarring.

We come here a lot and it’s always lovely food and atmosphere. Shout out to Harrison our waiter tonight who gave great customer service.

An excellent meal again , fabulous service as always. Restaurant was full which made the atmosphere warm and friendly. Only minus was the disparage over the offer --- Web site said 50% off all of January, when booking checked this was the case, on arrival manageress said it was only Monday to Thursday, no mention of this anywhere at all. However honored the booking so all was well. Would thoroughly recommend as an upmarket meal out.

7 of us went for lunch, the atmosphere and decor is lovely. The staff are very attentive and give great service. I had the seafood linguini, which was lovely. The rest of our party...1 Ox cheek; Nice, but the portion size was very small. 2 Chicken burgers- wouldn't recommend 1-Fish and chips, nice fish, but at the price point would not expect frozen chips! 1- Seabass- Very nice, broccoli could have been cooked slightly longer.. We used the 50% off deal, and at the price we paid it was good value. Without the offer (Avg £19 per meal) it would have been extremely over price for the quality of some meals and the portion size of others. However, I would recommend going as it also has a lunch menu to try. And the ambience is lovely.

1st time visitor, spent a generous while drinking great coffee and eating a great meal. Full-table service even in the bar area was courteous and attentive. Under new management, the new patron is ever-present and quietly and effortlessly in-command of a beautifully presented and suitably-relaxed environment. Perfect place to relax and recoup; once inside you could literally be anywhere your mind desires. Definitely returning here.. you will not be disappointed 5****

Sorry this was the poorest Christmas Dinner we have been served. At these prices I would have expected fresh veg not 2 frozen Brussel sprouts, parsnips, extra, on top of this I had to wait for my starter, still looking for the crab meat. And to make it really poor,it was booked and ordered so there was no excuse. Other people with me also didn't get food without trouble. No be going again

This place is great. Staff are so friendly and efficient. I had the most gorgeous ox cheek meal and all meals in our party today were gorgeous. Our dog was welcomed too. Fantastic

The food here was absolutely wonderful. I had the bang bang chicken to start which was great but only the beginning. For main, I had Ox-cheek. The Ox-cheek was tender and delicious, as were the accompanying vegetables. The beer was good too.

We had a fantastic lunch on Friday , the fixed lunch is not only amazing value but the quality and presentation of the food was superb ! Great choice too . Booked a table with friends, the food and service was excellent. We had a great night and the music and DJ made it even better!

We booked as a group of 14 for a family members 60th birthday and everything was perfect from start to finish. We had pre-booked our starters and mains which were served by the friendly waitresses, one in particular called Ellie was our main server and she was so friendly and polite throughout. The restaurant provides lots of Gluten Free options and I believe the manager double checked this before serving, which was really good. All the food was absolutely fantastic and everyone said how great it all tasted and was presented. They also let us bring our own Birthday cake and served it with candles. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We really enjoyed the wine tasting and would certainly recommend it. It was a lovely evening and we were made so welcome. The food was excellent as were the wines that were brought to our table by Steve who showed considerable knowledge. We will definitely be ordering some of these at future visits.

Lovely Monday evening at a wine tasting evening. My SIL and I enjoyed every wine tasted and loved the experience. Our food was delicious and beautifully served too. Will definitely be a regular, Dore has needed this. X
