Was here recently. Lovely pies and a nice garden, took a while to get our order but worth it.

Preciosas tartas con buena elección. Es una lástima que solo sirvan guisantes mullidos, sin opción de guisantes de jardín. Lamentablemente, me quedé desanimado por la falta de limpieza en los baños de mujeres, particularmente la cantidad de polvo espeso en las repisas de madera entre cada inodoro separado.

The pies here were fabulous. Mine was chicken and mozzarella and it was delicious. Another in our group had chicken & mushroom, someone else had beef, bacon and red wine and we all really enjoyed them. The mash and chips weren't so good. It did feel quite expensive too, although the pie was good so we didn't mind.

Parte estudiantil de la ciudad, pasteles en el menú, zumbido y tan divertido. Una gran selección de pasteles caseros incluso opciones vegetarianas. Fui por el pollo y el chorizo. Maravillosos sabores y podría haber elegido CUALQUIER tarta. Vale la pena visitarlo.

Haven’t had a notty pie in years and I was severely underwhelmed. £14 for about 5 chips, a smear of mushy peas and and an undercooked / falling apart pie. So very expensive for what it is.

Bit pricey, the pies now cost £14 which is slightly steep. Especially when their mash is quite salty. Nice atmosphere!

The pies are amazing, full to the top with fillings.

My son's partner suggested we try this pub after a visit to Weston Park Museum, just down the road. If you like homemade pies, this is ideal. Good quality pies, chips, and mushy peas are the mainstay of the menu here. A decent selection of beers is also available. Staff are friendly and helpful, but the service was slower than I would have expected on a Saturday lunchtime. Fortunately, we had time on our hands and spent our waiting time being entertained by our granddaughter. We are highly likely to stop off here again.

Personal amable y eficiente, aunque le dijimos que habría una espera de 45 minutos para la comida que era solo 25 minutos. Pub muy popular, pasteles caseros brillantes. Llevó a nuestra hija de vuelta a Uni después de sus vacaciones de Navidad... no puedo esperar a visitar para otra fantástica experiencia de pastel. Bien hecho The Nottingham House 👍👍👍👍👍.

Great vibes and the pies are so so good. They’ve always got great veggie and vegan options! Would definitely recommend the harissa and halloumi pie, but all are fantastic.

The most amazing pies ever, steak, bacon and red wine, tasted just like a very good Boeuf Bourginon but in pastry, absolutely gorgeous, chunky skin on chips and mushy peas, what more could you ask for. I just need to go back again and again to try all the other pies too and I have it on very good authority that all the vegetarian pies are delicious too. Highly recommend a visit here.

If you like pies, you are in the right place. A selection of pies, choose chips or mash, that's it. Absolutely perfect

Food took a while, but was delicious paired with generous portions. Pricing was great for what you get. A good selection of pies and a lovely interior that takes you back in time. The music fits the vibe perfectly. Opted for a steak and ale pie that did not skimp on filling with mushy peas, chips and gravy. The gravy was pleasant and the chips had a crunch exterior coupled with a soft, fluffy interior. The mushy pies were rather bland, but did not take away from the overall meal. A lovely pie and a lovely place to stop by with friends.

Great pub and the food is amazing. If you’re looking for a relaxing pint or some food come to The Nottingham House! They just do pies and they are the best in Sheffield, trust me. Ps the veggie pies are really good!

Cosy, great place for a chill night with friends

Fui a tomar unas copas pero vi los pasteles y tuve que probar uno. Teníamos un pastel de setas y espárragos y también uno de pollo, ambos eran excelentes. La combinación de tarta, patatas fritas y guisantes con salsa fue fantástica. Buen ambiente también. Solo se puede reservar para grupos de más de 10 personas, pero esperar una mesa no tomó demasiado tiempo. No puedo esperar a volver.

I've visited the Notty House over the last few years and I've always enjoyed a pie from here.

The pub has had a refurbishment recently and it's great! Very much a British pub at its best. Fantastic choice of beers and lagers and the pie and chips is excellent. Staff are really attentive and friendly. A great night out.

Only been in the car park but it's good vibes

The pub was very busy and bustling and really cold in there, especially in the ladies toilets. The staff were really lovely and friendly. The food wasn’t so great, it was served on chipped plates and barely warm. There was some kind of white ceramic in my pie which put me off. The wild mushroom, chestnut and ale pie was ok, would’ve probably been better if it was hot. The portion sizes were generous. I probably won’t go there again

Giving 3 stars for food because, while i was unhappy, my family was liking it. My vegan pie was not the best and it looked not as well baked as the others, which upset me. We waited an hour for our order and the lady serving us was quite rude to me two times, even though I just asked about the wait time. We didn't complain in person as it was a busy day, so instead I'm sharing here.

Top quality pies with so much choice. So much gravy and big portions. Veggie options are good too (I.e., without just bulking them out with potatoes). If you don't like pies this isn't the place for you.

Con diferencia, los mejores pasteles de Inglaterra. Menú creativo se asegura de que hay un pastel para usted! Estuvimos allí un domingo para almorzar. Estaba lleno de gente, pero los pasteles salieron bastante rápido para un producto horneado. Asiento abierto. Orden en el bar. El personal era muy ocupado, pero todavía muy amable. Hay un aparcamiento de pago al otro lado de la calle que era útil.

Very spacious covered area outside. Only had one beer here.Very dark inside.Really good pies and chips.Very filling. The tables outside need wiping down after it rains People still want to sit outside even when it's a little cold.

Awesome pub. I played a gig there and absolutely loved it. They make their own home made pies and I can safely say that they are the best pies I have had in Sheffield. the landlord is an amazing guy as well, always happy to help and ensure you have a great time. I highly recommend visiting this pub.

Was OK, pies were nice but not the best, not even the best in sheffield. Staff were brilliant!! The place was freezing!! So were the Mushy peas. Probably won't go back.

Quite simply the best pie in the world! I lived up the road from this place during uni and now always make it stop #1 whenever I’m in the area. I have tried most of the pie menu and not once been disappointed!

Really tasty food! Only downside is that pies are now 13.95 which seems a bit steep. Totally understand about inflation/rising costs etc - a pie was £7.95 back when I was at uni - but I feel portions have also got smaller. Great place though, a Sheffield classic.

Great pies, a lot of fillings to choose from. The chips were a little bit too crispy but overall a really tasty, filling meal.

Good food and ale, slightly scruffy pub and toilets, however 4 men leaning on bar never stopped swearing, the staff never even stopped them, it spoiled it for me and my family. Not going back it’s a shame because them pies a very good

Limited menu, but large selection of pies! Totally delicious and generous portions. Good ambience and super friendly staff. Great range of drinks, including several nonalcoholic options. Parking in a very small carpark nearby or on the road.

I've been to Notty House many many times during my PhD, and I was really looking forward to bring my family after graduation. Unfortunately, it was not the nicest experience. The food (4 pies with chips) took an hour to be served and when it arrived, one of the pies was ice cold, like it wasn't heated at all. Unfortunately the cold pie was given to my mom, who didn't say anything until much later so she wouldn't bother me. The staff was a bit rude and although I would understand it if the place was super crowded, that wasn't the case, there were several empty tables. I'm sorry it was like this and that my family didn't enjoy the amazing experience I've had here before.

Fantastic pies and ales combined with a great service! A must visit!

Waited 50 minutes for food, went and asked about it to be told they “must have lost the ticket, but can stick it in now”- they could see the table markers they give you from the bar, I can’t understand how at 4pm on a Thursday a ticket was lost and I had to ask for a refund instead of being offered it. The wait here for food is usually quite long but to not even get food after it is disappointing.

Can't go wrong with a notty pie. Used to come here quite a bit, frequented by locals/ students and all. Very chill place, that sells great food. The flavours change every so often, so we loved trying the different ones. Very generous with the filling and also sides.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime so I couldn't comment on atmosphere. But the pies, chips and mushy peas were excellent. The staff were spot on, excellent service. Only four stars? A little pricey for pub grub in my old tight opinion

My friend lives in Sheffield suggest me this pub. Their pie are amazing, definitely better than chained pie restaurant I tried before. Their chips are surprisingly good even they are sides only, mushed peas and mashed potato are very nice too. Pie with sides ~£12.5 Pints ~£6

What a comprehensive menu of pies either with Mash/chips and mushy peas. The food is second to none, there pies are outstanding. Good choice of beers , will be returning .

A Sheffield must. Never disappointed by a Notty House pie: range of pies including some seasonal and veggie/vegan ones, crispy chips, great portion size and perfect with Hendo’s and a drink. My failsafe favourite is the (vegan) veggie mince and onion.

Lovely pie and chips. We dined early on a Friday night and were served early. The music could have come from my Spotify account (I'm 63 years old). Staff friendly and efficient. I'll visit again

A proper pub. No airs or graces. Just great food, excellent drinks selection and traditional pub atmosphere.

In Ireland, going to the pub for a pie isn't a thing so we wanted to find the best pub in Sheffield for a pub and a pint, and I think we found it. The pies were very tasty and the service very fast. We come to Sheffield once a year for a football match and I think we'll be returning here.

What a great idea, specialise on one type of food and do it well. The Nottingham House have a good range of pies to cover all tastes including vegetarian and vegan (not sure about gluten free). The pies we had (3 different types) were all very tasty, with the mash and chips being good too. My only criticism is that one of the pies could have been hotter and the plates were very cold, so the food cooled down quickly. Overall, a good meal and excellent beer as well!

Amazing pies, really good drinks priced brilliantly. Wish they had put ten bob in the lekky meter though... it was freezing in there...

We had the beef and ale and beef and Guinness pies, we all said they were the best pies we ever tasted. Generous portions too. The chips were very tasty, not sure how they were cooked or what they were cooked in but again very good. The barman was also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely make another visit even though I will be driving a very long distance. I highly recommend you visit you won’t be disappointed by the pies. Only suggestion would be the pup could do with a little spruce up, not fancy but a little upkeep. P.s. our intentions were to take pics. to show family back home but we were too eager to eat😂

Best pies we’ve ever had!!! Ever!!!

Was told on ordering it would be 45 minutes for a pie, bit long but not ridiculous. Chased it up after an hour and was told it was "about to come out" and it still ended up taking 1 hour and 20 minutes from ordering. Would expect at that stage some sort of partial refund at the least, but nothing was really offered and the apology was halfhearted. Not the first time the wait has been excruciating (you're lucky if it comes out in less than 40 minutes), and the pies, whilst good, aren't good enough to justify waiting that long every time you go. Try The York up the road or the Punch Bowl in Crookes, service is infinitely quicker, tables less grimey and the pies are just as good!

Amazingly simple menu of pies with chips or mash. Pastry is to die for. Chips were like best ever chip shops chips. All utterly delicious. Vegan mushroom and chestnut pie best pie partner had ever had, included vegan gravy. Atmosphere and service great.

Great food, Nice ambiance & Staff were friendly. Just be mindful it can get very busy, you have to wait to get some seats and food was very late. But the food was delish so its Ok.

Four of us visited, for a meal and drinks. A massive thumbs up for the pies! Woukd highly recommend 👍

Decent pies in a cosy pub atmosphere for good prices.

Been to this place for food for more than 8 years. No concerns about food but had a bad experience with one of the staff today. Ordered for two takeaway pies today and was informed that it would take 5 minutes. Waited for about 15-20minutes and was trying to ask one of the staff for update. The lady who originally served us was nice and helpful, but when I tried to ask another female staff for help, she was rude and said "I cannot help you", I have explained I was promised for the 5 min wait and now it has been 15-20 mins, she said it was not her problem. She did not even offer to check with the kitchen - so I would rate 1 star for the services and think this lady who was standing at the till at 14.25-14.40 would need some serious re-training for her customer service skills. She was wearing a grey T shirt. The lady with curly long hair was lovely and was the person who served us in the beginning. Food wise, no issues. It is all because of one bad staff and hence this review. Photos submitted for evidence that we have actually been to this place.

Disappointing , mash was very lumpy ,peas luke warm ,pie was not very warm. took 50 mins to come and was starving at this stage, so decided to eat it !

Lovely cosy pub with the best pies I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. Nice and flaky pastry, delicious fillings and a choice of mash or chips. The mushy peas are excellent as well! There are also several vegetarian/vegan pie options (if they don’t run out - try to go early if you want choice). Would highly recommend!

My son told me about this place he had mentioned the quality pies so we all went to try and give them a try and boy we weren’t disappointed they were excellent. The four of us all had different pies you could have chips or mash with peas and a gravy boat I chose steak and ale and it was delicious.
