Outstanding food, always really good! Delivery was slightly later than initially told.

The foods good but the portions are small and expensive everything else is perfect.

I ordered the vegetarian burrito and sat in the cafe. What a disappointment. Other than the interior of the burrito swimming in fat it was absolutely tasteless. I left over half of it on my plate which would have gone back into the kitchen … I left irritated as I was told the burritos were excellent by a member of staff. She had clearly never tried this effort! Won’t be going back when there are other great places to eat in the Vale

I am the Manager of this lovely little cafe. I felt I needed to share my love for my job. I wouldn't enjoy my job however if anyone believed the slanderous reviews below We are a very close (like family) team Jonty is a fantastic guy who would do anything for his staff. Trolling people is awful, but read further down.. we consistently deliver great food and good service.

I have come across a review about jonty treating his staff badly and I never said anything my self,but it feels necessary to now. I would say about 8-9 months ago a staff member dropped a glass and it smashed in front of him and he called her a stupid idiot I think I do recall him apologising straight after. However it was a little strange if he can speak like that to his staff like this I front of customers I would hate to thing of what he says in private.

Staff were so lovely. Food was ready super quick. Tasted unreal!

Visiting my daughter at uni and we all went here for breakfast. Good selection, vegan daughter catered for, really great coffee and the food was delicious.

Food is unreal and the staff are amazing. Eggs with benefits has got to be one of the best creations for breakfast or brunch and a must try! Lovely little spot, super clean and really cheap street parking outside. See you again soon guys xx

A lovely pet friendly cafe with great food, I especially love the breakfast burrito. The staff were all lovely and great with my dog. I've been there countless times over the past few years so this review is well overdue.

Food was bland and orange juice was from a carton even though the menu said ‘fresh orange juice’ - This really should be amended to reflect accordingly

Such a lovely place to stop on Sharrow, a wide range of pastries and cakes to choose from and pretty bang on coffee too! The best part is we were greeted with lovely smiling faces and prompt service when we entered, will be coming again!

I’ve been to Jontys a number of times recently due to working close by and I’ve always received an extremely warm welcome. The food and staff are amazing. Looking forward to my next slice of heaven with a cuppa when my waistline permits ! X

Staff came across very cold and unfriendly. I came in and 3 members of staff were sat around talking - at first I thought they were customers as they didn’t acknowledge me. They were also stood on their phones which is never good customer service. Had to take a call while waiting and got a very cold look when I did and was ignored when I apologised. Burrito was really good and generous serving size but not worth £8.75, especially with such unfriendly service.

Amazing service, asked for oat milk, they ran out and went out and got some for me on request. Food was delicious and service was quick! 10/10

Has quickly become one of my favourite coffee places in Sheffield. It’s beautifully laid out inside, very fairly priced; the staff are all lovely and the flat whites must be made from something secret because I’m not sure how they taste that good every time!

We called here on a Sunday morning coming back from a photography trip after googling where to go for a breakfast. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait long to get a table. The food was cooked fresh and it’s a great menu, the staff are friendly and the food was hot. We would definitely return if we’re in the area again 👍🏻 10 out of 10.

I never leave bad reviews, and have visited Made by Jonty for years, so am sad that a visit to this cafe has warranted my first bad review. I visited MbJ with my parents and a family friend, and between us we ordered 3 meals and a full round of coffees. After our meals we ordered a second round of coffee, and my dad, who is vegan, asked if they had any sweet treats which he could eat .. This was met by a very strange response by the manager, who, with an attitude said ‘No we don’t do vegan, if you want something vegan, you have to try across the road’ (referencing the very lovely Pom cafe). We found this extremely surprising, as the vast majority of cafes these days will have at least one vegan sweet option available, and my dad has never struggled for vegan meal options at MbJ previously. Given that there were no vegan options available, we asked if it would be possible for us to bring in a single vegan treat from across the road to accompany the multiple extra drinks and non-vegan treats we were ordering from MbJ. This was met by a very abrupt ‘No’ from the manager, who then went on to say this was against company policy. Her response was delivered rudely, and resulted in us cancelling the order of additional coffees (and not order the non-vegan sweet treats we were about to). I understand and respect company policy, but in this context, I was staggered at the lack of flexibility, and to be frank, disdain, displayed by the Manager on duty. This is not the experience I have had in the past as the owner (who was not in on this day) has always been lovely, flexible, and accommodating. Worth noting that all other staff on duty were very nice. Unfortunately, it just takes one negative experience to leave a lasting bad taste, and we will not be returning.

Decent breakfast/lunch spot with good vegan/veggie options, drinks and some quite customisable options. No reservations so be prepared to wait outside. I had the vegan bagel which was a little plain but quite hearty for a vegan breakfast (defo needed sriracha, which was offered upon it being served). Nice coffee, too. My two little critiques are that the plate was unnecessarily large and empty for just a bagel, and we were initially greeted with quite rude, blunt service.

I was just passing by but the cakes looked amazing and home made. Rhubarb muffin was superb along with a v n coffee. Defo going back. Great service too - friendly and quick.

Very friendly, lovely food. Had to wait but worth it. Book if you're going to endcliffe Park. We did parkrun, which was busy .

We nipped here from brunch’ and it was delicious. Quick service and excellent food. I had the eggs florentine with a side of hashbrowns and halloumi. The eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise sauce perfect and a good generous amount of fresh wilted spinach. My husband has the vegan bagel and loved that too. Coffee was perfect too. Would highly recommend.

Lovey place in the heart of Sharrow Vale. Really good food and super-friendly staff. We had the do-it-yourself brunch which is good value for money and the food quality is great. Definitely recommend a visit.

First class poached eggs and flat whites

Great food but I’ve been overcharged twice - once they charged £2 (to share a plate) because my daughter was having a full breakfast after training and I just had a cup of tea. The last time my husband went the waitress was very rude and grumpy. Not a great experience overall so we don’t go anymore.

This place is in such a cool part of town , good music and comfortable space . The salsa verde is amazing - I had the brunch bagel which was delicious and well worth £8.50 - my husband had the eggs florentine . Good vibe nice staff cool place

Fist time we have visited this cafe. A friendly welcome. We sat upstairs and enjoyed a tea and coffee and shared a chocolate brownie delicious. We will be calling in again when visiting the area.

Have been here a few times in the past and always friendly service and good food. However, my experience today was very negative. Our waitress was quite rude and abrupt at the offset. I asked for drinks to come with the food and they forgot about this. Half way during meal, I politely reminded another waiter. Due to the delay, he offered to take drinks off the bill. Once it came to paying, the older female waitress asked for the full amount which I happily paid. She did not acknowledge the delay and made the whole encounter awkward. Food was nice as always but service poor.

Worst yet, sorry I generally like your food. In breakfast wrap egg was overcooked, bacon undercooked, and cheese all in a lump in one corner. As ever you failed to send the cans of pop i asked for, despite them being highlighted on receipt. Sorry to say Jonty your quality has fallen down badly.

I had an appauling experience there this morning. The boy on the till was extremly rude asking customers to stand outside in the rain. Waiting over 25 min for Bagel what I could have made in ten minutes and much better tasting. I will not return to this establishment there are better restaurants around to get breakfast on a sunday morning.

Had a great breakfast here today. As others have said the Veggie Burrito was excellent as well as the Veggie bagel. Extra points for serving Sriacha too! The people were lovely and the place had a vibrant atmosphere. Will visit again when I the area. Bill total was £25 with drinks which seemed quite reasonable.

We had to wait a bit outside because they were busy, but the food and service were worth the wait! We were able to order promptly after being seated, and although seating was snug, we were comfortable. Great coffee and tea selection, and everyone loved their breakfast. My husband said the breakfast burrito was the best he's ever had. Our table also ordered eggs benedict and eggs on avocodo toast which were tasty and cooked to perfection. We all highly recommend! Sorry there's no photos! We were so excited to eat, we forgot to take them!

Breakfast burrito is something special!

Food good but not impressed with general cleanliness and there was a dog around in the cafe. This is second time in the last two weeks that we have been and been disturbed by dogs, round customers and children. Not hygienic so won't be returning.

Regrettably, I must give this a low rating. The standard is just so high in this area that businesses cannot afford to have unsmiling staff with frosty attitudes (only towards men, we observed). Perhaps the ladies had an off day, but we shan't be returning to confirm. There are simply too many other, wonderful options available, such as nearby Caffè Tucci, which has a professional, friendly team and beautiful delicacies. Reply to the owner: Thank you for your response, though it comes across a little unreasonable? I disagree that the bad experience was my 'problem' as I am a regular customer with your local competitors, who have always given me excellent customer service. However, I appreciate your time and hope you make improvements.

WOW WOW WOW just read the review below by JSK W and prompted me to write a review. We love this place, food and service always impeccable and our must go to place when in Sheffield. Only thing frosty we've ever found in here is the Iced Coffee.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit with some of the best food I've ever tasted. Has a chill atmosphere which everyone can enjoy. Can't recommend enough!

Disappointed. The meal turned out to be a spoilt ‘treat’. We’d seen reviews and decided to sample the food this morning. The welcoming and table staff were very good - warm and friendly. The service was quick with drinks arriving almost immediately and order taken quickly. The food arrived in a reasonable time but was quite disappointing. My buddy was over toasted, the sausages were light coloured and almost tasteless and the egg was rubbery with a solid yolk. The bacon was the only tasty part of the meal. My friend had a build your own meal - 2 poached eggs which were solid and dry - no soft yolk - bacon, tomato and mushroom were acceptable but the toast was soft. I wish that I had complained on the spot but didn't. It was surprising to have a meal like that after seeing good reviews from others.

The lady that served me was very polite and professional. Disappointing that we couldn't order bacon and egg sandwiches. Even though those items were on the menu, just as part of a much bigger sandwich that we didn't want. Flat white, very small. Same size cup as an Espresso in most cafes. £6.40 for a brownie and flat white did seem high.

Great coffee, lovely atmosphere & the chocolate brownies are to die for. The breakfast burrito is a winner too, I didn't want to move after I'd had it! I would highly recommend this cafe!

Quickly but to the point, the breakfast burrito was awesome, very filling and great flavours... top marks. Chocolate brownie was to die for and i had an oat milk latte which was also delicious. Good prices, great service. 10/10

Special treat. Very worthwhile eggs are always golden perfectly cooked for my taste. Great drinks I had a ginger lemon tea .

We came today for brunch and it was so delicious! Really well priced, nice staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

It's a cafe, good spot on Sharrowvale Rd, can get busy.

Breakfasts were great, fresh and tasty - eggs however you like them. Accommodating for us vegetarians and those who like a sausage, you can personalise your plate with up 6 sides for a reasonable price. Couldn’t resist a peanut butter jelly flapjack and rocky road en route out of the door! The flapjack was 10/10 but the rocky road needed less marshmallow and more biscuit. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Well I don't really know what to say. We made a delivery order worth over £42.00 for a Brunch leaving get together. The order never arrived and Made by Jaunty wouldn't honour another order. It is impossible to try and contact anyone at just eat so we are now without any leaving brunch and over £42.00 lighter. A very expensive last day.

We ordered eggs Benedict but there is no hollandaise sauce on either. The description says it includes hollandaise sauce - as is usual for eggs benedict.

The best fry up I’ve had in years. Came to visit my brother who lives around the corner and he recommended it. Easy menu to navigate along with the kindest host (all those trips up the stairs and back!) Super friendly and kind, I’m always particular and it wasn’t a drama Food was incredible, hash browns were the best I’ve possibly ever had, sausages and bacon were fresh along with a big slab of toast. Already waiting to go again on another trip

My wife and I were recommended Made by Jonty by a local business that we’d originally planned to eat at but couldn’t due to it being fully booked. I have to say, this was a real treat. We waited five minutes or so for a table to become free which was quicker than expected. We ordered drinks and breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito with spicy tomato salsa and my wife had the eggs benedict. Both were delicious, full of flavour, cooked with high quality ingredients. Service was excellent, Jonty and his staff were attentive and friendly. I’d defiantly recommend Made by Jonty and will defiantly be returning soon.

Just wanted tea and dessert..which was shoved on the table by the waitress who stomped off without a hint of customer service…one cake was ok,the other dry as heck.our waitress clearly had been complained at by someone upstairs whom she then brought up on the cctv for all to see….I’d say she probably deserved it judging by our experience.However jonty was really nice and friendly….he just needs to sort the staff out

It’s a lovely little cafè down in Sharrow Vale, and they do very nice coffees and brunches. Lots of love has been put into this shop and the food they serve. Highly recommended to everyone coming down to Eccy Road!

First time visit today, for a drink and piece of cake. Welcomed very warmly even though it was really busy. Nice cake selection that is reasonably priced. Everything, served quickly and with a smile. The food that was served around us looked beautiful and will definitely try it when I next visit.

I have been visiting made by jonty for many years now with my family and their service has never disappointed. They prepare high quality breakfasts, with their crown being their poached eggs! I'll happily leave 5 stars.

Oh! My goodness. What a wonderful, wonderful place. The downstairs betrays it's real size as there is a lovely seating area upstairs with a nice view of Sheffield. I had a meaty breakfast which was absolutely delicious and brilliantly priced. My wife has an intolerance to gluten and milk which they catered for exquisitely. The staff were nice enough if a little bored and not really up for any conversation but that's fine it was a busy brunchtime. Atmosphere was nice. Would highly recommend if you're in this area of Sheffield and looking for a delicious affordable brunch.

Lovely cafe on sharrowvale road, the coffee was brilliant and the service was quick. Iced coffee was great and had dairy free options. The carrot cake was a little dry and the frosting was sickly and not cream cheese but maybe that’s a personal preference! We couldn’t finish it, but the raspberry almond slice was amazing! Very small and cosy, if you can get a table definitely visit, staff were nice and parking nearby

The chai latte is to die fof fast service and love the take out service for a quick breakfast on the go. I've only had the veggie roll but it's so good not too greasy or oily
