Great for all the family, good selection of food and drink, recommend booking in advance as very popular. Staff very cheerful and helpful.

We stopped for lunch and enjoyed it. It's easy to find, has enough parking, it's quite bright and airy inside and nicely laid out. Service was good and food tasty and filling.

We used this pub for an evening meal on an overnight stop on our return from Scotland. I have to say that the steak pie was probably the best I've ever had, lovely melt in the mouth short crust pastry filled with so much soft steak with a deep rich gravy, with creamy mashed potato and peas, absolutely delicious, my wife's salmon with new potatoes, fresh vegetables in a mild lemon sauce was also first class. The pub was packed when we arrived but our food arrived with a smile from the lovely welcoming staff, all round we felt very looked after and welcomed, 5* from us 👌

Lovely place and very pleasant staff was there bank Holiday Monday and the Friday both lunch times , food very good and the pudding was crumble and custard .

We had a really enjoyable meal here and brought along our two dogs. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The pizza, in particular, was outstanding. We’d definitely return!

4 of us went for a meal, The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was great.The waitress went out of her way to accommodate a change in the menu for our daughter who can't eat anything containing tomatoes, cream or shell fish..For the first time I can actually say that she enjoyed every last bit of her 2 course meal.Thankyou.outstanding.

We had been recommended The Bridge End Inn by Thornfield Camping Cabins where we were staying, and it was a great choice. We went for Sunday lunch and the meal was fabulous, great portion size and the beef was melt in the mouth........and the sticky toffee pudding, wow! Also great value for what we were charged and dog friendly too, will definitely be back again!

Are used to go Sunday. Dinner is a long time ago when she was alive I don’t go very far now. I sit at home doing my own cooking but we did enjoy your meal. It was so different days of the week The meals were excellent. I’ve no photos to long time ago, it is a very beautiful and magnificent place, jolly good for a meal, I will tell you how much I spent but I will tell you it was top of the range of food. I like the best I still do when I go to Carlisle restaurant, I like food always eat the best look after your body

We called in early one tea time and were greeted politely, I had called earlier in the day but the pub was closed so I left a little note and upon our arrival at tea time they were expecting us! The pub itself looks clean and tidy with pretty hanging baskets at the front but the real gem is the orangery conservatory that is very tastefully decorated and has a real charm in a modern setting which is warm and comforting. Hubby selected chicken and chorizo pasta and our little treasure had pizza from the kids meal, whilst I opted for the rump of lamb. The waiting staff were really professional and took our drinks order and our order and it didn’t take too long for the meal to arrive and boy was I impressed as the waitress out the dishes onto the table. The kids pizza was a proper Italian dough base and will pillowy and light with a decent topping of tomato and cheese. Hubby took one mouthful of his steaming hot pasta and looked delighted. The sauce of the pasta was creamy yet moresish. My lamb was truly stunning the presentation was beautiful… I was so impressed with the dauohinoise potatoes which were impeccably thinly sliced and so buttery and elegant. Really good! For puddings we plumped for the special of the day brownie which was mars and galaxy caramel - totally wonderful, chocolatey yet not sickly… and I had apple crumble which was clearly home made with custard- all served piping hot. I honestly can’t recommend this pub highly enough. The staff were great the food was wonderful and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Well done to the team at The Bridge End Inn - great job!

Went 2 weekends running with different friends. The food was excellent and not over expensive. Will definitely recommend.

Came with friends for a meal. We hadn’t booked but managed to get a table. The menu is a little different, serving pastas and pizzas, along with the traditional steak, gammon, pies etc. We all had something different and all enjoyed our meal. My only criticism, if you can call it that, was that there were no healthy options. No salads or chicken/fish without a sauce which I would have preferred but on the whole we enjoyed our meal/experience.

Found the pub clean and easy access, dogs are aloud in bar and garden very well run.

Brilliant pub, food was out of this world and the staff were the best we have come across for a long time.

Had a nice meal, and met up with a friend, as we had a dog with us we had to eat in the bar/pool area which was a little loud with some chaps playing pool 🎱. The staff are great, food was great, dog friendly, a nice evening

Called in and ate at the Bridge End Inn last week while staying locally. Me and my partner both ordered sizzlers (chicken and steak) and were really pleased that you could get half rice/half chips rather than all rice or chips. It doesn’t say this on the menu and we both fancied half and half! Food spot on, Service spot on, Location spot on. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly call back for food.

Overall very good, food lovely and tasty. Choice of draft, hand pulled beers limited. Only little niggle was garlic bread as a side was only 2 slices of baguette for £3 or so

We booked here for our father's 80th birthday meal, we couldn't have asked for any more with the friendly staff and outstanding food! Relaxing atmosphere, no stress, happy happy happy, thank you! My wife and I will definitely be returning for future Sunday dinner's!! ☺️

Sunday lunch with guests ,what we had was nice but a medium size bowl 3x cauliflower florets 3xbroccoli florets and 9 peices of carrot for 3 adults is awkward everyone was politely refusing veg so the men could have more than a toddler portion on the plate.couldnt say anything as I was paying so the couple said it was fine .veg very aldente more like blanched .yorkshire pudding roast potatoes and meat were nice. puddings nice .we did ask for individual veg on ordering discretly at the bar to avoid people feeling awkward but we were told loudly it was not plated but in a bowl .seasonal wonky veg is not extortionate meat is the expense.that said young staff are a,credit to the pub .not as good as 5 month ago tbh.

Great pub in a good location, always seems to be busy and has great food that's decent value. Nice pint and it's open on Tuesday unlike most pubs in the area.

Stopped here for Sunday Lunch. Having looked at TripAdvisor thought it was only Pizzas and Italian Food, but was pleased to find out they do Sunday Roasts too. Excellent meal loads of beef, all tender and pure meat. The service was the best I have received for a long time, nothing was too much trouble and asked about 4 times if everything was OK. Would definitely eat here again.

The location is nice but parking is limited especially when busy. Service is slow we waited 1/2 an hour after we ordered the food but is usually always the same. It gets very busy and sometimes rowdy. The food is overpriced as it can be a bit bland.

We found the bridge end inn to be beautiful with a friendly atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure all our needs were met. our food was delicious and we will definitely come back. Great value for money.

We came to the area for a short holiday and after booking into our accommodation went to the Bridge End Inn for dinner. They were fairly busy but very accommodating even without a booking. Our server Lisa was professional and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was amazing and the food was delicious.

Myself and my husband went for an evening meal here, it was lovely. My hubby had the black pudding & bacon stack to start and the belly pork for main, both of which he really liked. I had spicy prawns to start and oh my, they were flipping gorgeous, so creamy, even hubby was jealous. I then had salmon with parmentier potatoes and that was lovely. The staff were very friendly and so attentive, tables were cleared with quiet efficiency. If you are in the area don't miss out on the food here, it's well worth a visit.

Nice little local pub. Food was average. Had the crispy pork. Chips were old and scabby, the meat was nice but there was very little sauce so it was quite dry. Same with the kilted chicken, v little sauce. Gammon was okay, but again terrible scabby chips. Won't be back

Lovely wee place, popped in for a meal whilst travelling south. Food was just what we needed. Nice little building too, staff friendly.

The food was good enough, in the average, no complain, but there were two things I didn’t like. First: when I was presented the bill, the Margherita pizza was 1£ more and the garlic pizza 2£ more than the price shown on the menu. I pointed out both the mistakes, one at a time, to the cashier and without apologizing he told me: “ok, I’ll take 2£ off” and then “ok, I’ll take 1£ more off” as if it was a favor. He was visibly annoyed and embarrassed at the same time. I’m sure they were not mistakes, he just tried to charge me more, maybe because I’m a foreigner, I don’t know. Just a reminder if you eat there to check your bill before paying. Second: since I was hiking in the rain I arrived super wet and, even if the inn was empty, they gave me the table close to the entrance door, the coldest one, I guess because it’s the worst spot no one wants. Nothing serious but I didn’t like.

Family meal for 10 we had an excellent experience nothing was too much trouble the food was excellent the service was excellent they even put a birthday candle in the chocolate brownie for us. Brilliant well done to all of the staff .

Lovely food. We only had starters as were going out for a meal at night. However, the portions were ample and absolutely delicious! We chose the chilli, garlic prawns and haggis, black pudding and bacon stack, along with a portion of chips a fulfilling meal. Very friendly staff too!

Myself & my husband had dinner here we didn’t reserve a table ,it was a busy evening with high bookings but they managed to fit us in . So glad they did the service was excellent so welcoming & the food was delicious, I don’t normally have dessert but I’m a sucker for a crumble I have to say it was the best I’ve ever tasted . I would certainly recommend the bridge end inn.

Went for dinner with my grandparents and was very impressed the food was exceptional and would definitely recommend, the staff were so friendly especially the young blonde girl (sorry didn’t get her name) was very attentive and didn’t leave us waiting at any point, will definitely be returning when I next come up to visit.
