Nice pub. Didn't eat this time just had a beer. Friendly staff and atmosphere is good in the evenings. Food was good the last time I ate here.

Had the Sunday Roast and I was so impressed. The quality and taste was lovely. The roasties were crispy and fluffy, veg was great and the extra cauliflower cheese was outstanding so full of flavour. Staff were wonderful and atmosphere lovely. Will definitely return

I don't know if my friends and I caught this place on an off day, but we went in on Sunday just past. It was busy inside when we arrived but the garden was empty so we sat outside Both my friends ordered roasts - one beetroot wellington, one beef and I ordered a burger... Sadly I don't have anything very positive to say. We ordered everything at the same time and my friends' roasts came at the same time, but 10 minutes later I was still waiting on my burger and had to chase it up My friend with the veg roast was delivered her food and told they'd bring out the gravy, 10 minutes later it also had not arrived. The beef roast had roast potatoes that were uncooked in the middle, very soggy grey leeks and grey beef with huge amounts of fat on it, leaving little actual meat The burger was average with a tiny token bit of warm coleslaw on the side, which I could've handled, but the £17 pricetag felt unjustifiable We had to chase up about the late food and uncooked food etc and staff were civil about it but I wouldn't say particularly apologetic. All in all a pretty disappointing experience where the cost of food was not in the least bit justified. Hopefully we just caught them on a bad day, and this doesn't reflect their usual efforts, but I definitely will not be rushing back to eat here

Fantastic pub with a huge beer garden and food point outside, plenty of comfortable outside seating, great menu, we had the ribs and burgers 🍔 😋 more than enough to fill us and the kids up! Kid friendly, dog friendly, and helpful happy staff, live music outside on the bank holiday weekend too, how a proper pub should be 👌

Amazing food and service! I had the pork belly roast and my husband had the dirty miss piggy burger both said how delicious they both were! 100% recommend!

I visited this pub to watch three Euro football games and enjoyed the atmosphere and service during those visits. However, I was disappointed that they didn't offer me tickets to watch the final. Given the number of games I watched here, I expected a bit more consideration for loyal customers. This put a damper on my overall experience.

Love the burgers in this place, washed down with a pint of Inches...Florence served us with a smile, what more could you want!

This is a great pub . Been away with work in Europe and missed it so much. Excellent food and staff. Staff work really hard and are very welcoming. Florence, Eve and Chevonne are first class . Izzy & Charlie always smiling and up for a chat. The food quality recently has been first rate with the new chef Georgia who needs more self confidence! Love the street food this week end and the quality was superb. All in all a superb local pub that welcomes everyone . It’s great to see a pub that has stable and enthusiastic staff. Also super to see staff return from university - bright futures for them all.

The Park view is a great pub and the service is fantastic, Neave and Charlie are very attentive and friendly and always make sure you enjoy a cold pint!

Just had an event here for my Son's 1st Holy Communion celebrations. Staff went above and beyond for us. So helpful and very attentive. We had an array of pizzas and snacks instead of a buffet due to building works being done in the kitchen and the pizzas were amazing! Everyone commented on how nice they were. The man who was looking after the booking couldn't do enough. Will definitely be booking here again!

Despite some initial pint pouring problems from Neve, Charlotte summoned her cape and rescued my pint from frothy, overflowing madness. Wonder Woman provided an ice cold, perfect pint that quenched my thirst in a perfect, sun trapping beer garden. Neve will learn one day I’m sure 😅

2nd visit to the park view. Food is all good, fresh and lovely. Would recommend. Had the ceaser chicken burger last time and it was 10/10. Looking forward to the steak next time.

First time in the pub for many years,sons birthday, party of 10, made very welcome and had a great meal normal wait between corses, food was excellent, good service, good portion size, as a ex publican I was well empressed,will be back soon.

The staff were friendly and Sunday lunch was brilliant. Unfortunately, our table was near to the door going out into the garden and we had to keep getting up to close the door as it was very draughty if it was left open. It would be lovely sitting there if it was a warmer day and it didn’t take way the enjoyment of the food.

Fab Sunday roast and the lamb was great. Crispy roast potatoes and Harry looked after us a treat with friendly service and a smile.

A wonderful way to welcome Spring and enjoy the long Easter weekend, another awesome meal in a chilled, friendly atmosphere 🙂 The dessert specials were AMAZING!! and the staff team were attentive and friendly, as always. Well done Team PV!! You rock!!

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Come down here on the on the off chance of a Sunday roast as it was last minute. Was welcomed and seated in no time at all. Charlie and chevonne were fantastic hosts as they welcomed us. Steve and Charlotte severed an amazing dinner. Very filling. Would recommend and will be coming back very soon!

IMO Park View do the best roast dinners, with great service too in the area. Great also for other food (eg very nice burgers) or if just want drink in a nice atmosphere. Thank you Park View team and will keep coming back 👍😁

The Fundraiser quiz was so much fun! The quizmaster was amazing and the questions were challenging yet entertaining, definitely coming back!

Nice looking pub, large garden, food is usually good although 3 customers had to ask for their crackling.which was stated you would get on the menu. Service to get drinks is slow, it doesn't help that there is only one member of staff working the two bars. The landlord is always a scruff with his trousers falling down. Dog friendly which is great.

First time for lunch lovely roast potatoes could have been in a bit longer but that’s the only negative. Veg carrots cabbage broccoli . Popped in on Saturday for a bit of lunch. The staff were lovely. Really friendly and inviting. We ordered a couple of their lunch sandwiches and a few starters. Absolutely lovely, really tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Busy pub with great staff and excellent food

We had an amazing lunch here today. All of their burgers sound amazing and it made choosing difficult. The two we chose were incredible and packed with flavour and the chips were also very good. This is a pub with friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Good range of drinks too.

This is the very essence of a great local pub. Excellent food and drink and superb. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome whether you are a regular or your first visit . It’s brilliant to see them develop their staff and for the university returners to have a great and safe place to work. Charlie, Lincoln, Eve, Steve , Florence ,Charlotte and Chevonne always make for a great night . Proud it’s my local.

The pub was so busy, which made for a brilliant Christmas atmosphere. The staff were superb, especially Siobhan who looked after our table. Considering how busy it was the food was great, served quick and hot. Blitzen Burger was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas Eve.

The team at The Park View were great when we attended for a group festive meal. The booking was easy via Togo and we were able to make special requests for dietary requirements and fusspots! The atmosphere was fabulously festive and the environment was welcoming. They were extremely busy - which is testament to the quality of the service/food - but it meant that we were slightly squeezed in. Staff were suitably festive and had the usual warm and friendly approach we love at the Park View, they were happy to help and catered for our every need. The food was outstanding!! We were all really happy with our meals - great portion sizes and definitely value for money - hats off to the kitchen team who clearly are very talented! We decided to stay for the festive quiz which was lots of fun, suitably Christmassy and we were impressed with the community spirit and focus on fundraising for a local cause, close to our hearts. All in all a great night out! Looking forward to lots more fun and fabulous food in the Park View in 2024!

We booked the Parkview for our, works Christmas meal. The booking online was easy and Chatlotte and her team made the whole process so easy. There were 5 of us and we all had starters and mains - every dish was delicious. The food came out in a timely way, it was hot and well cooked and staff checked in regularly that everything was going well. The service was excellent and friendly.

I was looking for a traditional English pub serving traditional English food. I saw the online menu which included the steak and ale pie. We really went to try the pie, the ambiance etc, but we found that the menu card was different and did not include the pie. We were initially disappointed. However we saw they had a huge variety of burgers which, although not traditionally English, seemed interesting. We ordered some and we were delighted with the quality and the presentation. The staff were also very friendly. We shall come back.

I remember this pub as a dive...... How things have changed! Great atmosphere, very welcoming.... both staff and fellow patrons. Not hungry at the moment but will definitely be back to eat as it smells delicious.

unable to give a 100% but excellent fair manager , no prompting his service was impeccable . meal was nice . prefer menu of previous company that owned .however same manager who has turned this previous down trodden pub into an excellent family place to visit

Lovely roast, great potatoes, nice beer, and a good atmosphere. Having a massive dog was not a problem!

Murder mystery dinner We attended their murder mystery night and it was excellent. The entertainment was really good, the actors made it really good fun and the food laid on by the Parkview was fantastic. Would highly recommend if they do another.

The did at park view was so good it my 6 year old daughter couldn't contain it all... she had the children's meal deal and ate it all so quickly (she normally eats pretty slowly so it must have been good 😃) that her tummy couldn't hold it in! So... very filling for children. The adults meals are pretty much the same size, only twice the price and with a couple of extras. They had 3 reasonable ales on tap and the staff were friendly and attentive (I helped clean up the (pink from ice cream) regurgitation, but the staff weren't put out by it happening)

A lovely pub split into 2 bars, a saloon and a sports bar. Really polite, helpful staff. The landlord went out of his way to speak to people and arrange taxi's. We went on a live music evening and the atmosphere was amazing. I didn't try the food so I can't rate that, one for the future. I will be going back

Came for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. I had the pork belly roast and it was great - plenty of food (you can upgrade to a large roast), generous portion of meat, well seasoned veggies and gravy. I'd highly recommend it. My friends each had different burgers from their burger menu and they looked great as well.

Its a good pub, the food is excellent, the service is alright but the thing that lets this pub really down are the prices. The 8oz Rump Steak use to be £17 and now its £22 which is a £5 increase since the start of the year plus for a pint of Heineken was £5.40. Defenitly not coming back until the prices go down.

Good food lovely family friendly beer garden
