The best restaurants serving British food in England

Wow. Sunday lunch. We had the lamb, beef and pork and all were so incredibly tender. Never tasted meat so tender. The chef apparently slo cooks overnight and uses fresh local meat. You could really tell. Prices were great value too. The raspberry and Nutella roulade was so gorgeous too. Staff very friendly and efficient and compliments also to the young lady who was helping serve too. Definitely recommend. Will definitely go back when we’re in the area again

Clean shop, quick and polite service. Nice chips. Parkings a bit dicey but managed.

-- 5 stars "Delicious traditional food – highly recommend!" I had a great experience at Sie's Pie & Mash & BBLs! The food was absolutely delicious – proper hearty pie and mash just how it should be. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and served with a smile. It’s clear they care about quality and tradition. As the title says, Astounded!! Rang up to order a takeaway. Ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese and salad. Collected it myself. £8.05 for a small jacket, a dessert spoon of tuna mayo, hardly any cheese, a very little salad... Just awful in every way... I won't be returning. I understand the business owner has to pay bills and staff, but if all the food is that bad quality and prices like that, customers will go elsewhere.

We went to Tatlers on Saturday evening, we were a group of 6 and what a great experience it was, the atmosphere was perfect, the staff could not have done more to make it a memorable experience and the food was wonderful and all at a very reasonable price. Thanks to all the team, we will spread the word and we will be back.

We had for parties, It was for my moms 80th in June 2024 and my 40th January 2025. We both had an amazing time. The DJ's at both events were brilliant and played the track list we would like after sending 1 to him. The buffet food was tasty and it catered for all dietry needs. The drinks were reasonably priced and great value for money. The staff were lovely and kept us informed of times we would like for speech and buffet food etc. We had a fantastic time at both events. Hope to book again in the future. Thank you.

We spent the night on the way from Suffolk to Cairnryan. Looked good on Booking.com. Found staff very friendly and helpful and dinner and breakfast were good but room was small and dark and M6 provided constant background noise. Also fairlybm chilly as heating wasn’t on and hot towel rail in bathroom was cold.

Second visit of the week as staying in the adjacent premier inn. Lovely cheery welcome from front of house. Had the lovely Jen to look after me and was well impressed. No complaints about the food which was just the right amount and extremely well cooked. Actually had Atlantic Pale on draught instead of bottled. All in all a good place to visit.

Good Cafe and Amazing Service, fantastic for an early morning Dine in. And all in all Good Prices too. Give it a try if your local only 2 Good local cafe n this is one of them.

This is a true gastropub. The food is inventive and very good, the service is perfect. We truly enjoyed our visit. If you want a bit of creativity, fresh ingredients and a beautiful dining room, this is the place for you!

Beautiful pub with amazing food

We stopped in for a quick drink on a rainy Friday. The coffee was very good, as well as being well priced and the service was excellent - friendly and helpful.

The cakes & Pastries are very nice & very well priced in this shop well worth a visit.
