I'm Scottish on business down here and was staying at the orwell hotel and found this wee cafe by chance.... It's also known as The Basics Community Cafe. Charity run 👍👍 Delicious bacon n sausage sandwich and only £4. But disappointed no baps at 10am in the morning but still a good sandwich 👍

A great typical English pub. The landlord and landlady are super friendly and very accommodating. The pub has a good family vibe and is also pet friendly. Prices are very reasonable and the entertainment was great!! Definitely worth a visit when in the area !!!!

Went in today and got chip butty with cheese...can safely say I won't be going back, the lad I went with got burger and chips with a can of pop. Instantly found a hair in his chips and then opened his can to find another hair stuck to the side of it. How this has good reviews I don't know!

I decided to visit this coffee house whilst on a shopping trip today. Unfortunately the initial pleasant ambiance was ruined by a lady worker, shouting very aggressively at a young member of staff who looked very upset and shocked. She chose to reprimand him publicly without showing any concern for how that affected him, her other stuff and the experience of customers on the premises. Her unprofessional attitude and conduct was shocking to witness. I frequent many coffee houses and cafes across the town but absolutely nothing could encourage me to return here and I will advise friends and family of my poor experience of this place too.

We first visited Revival last year during a Whitstable and just had to pop in again for lunch during a return visit. If you grew up in the 60s, you'll love it - and you probably will even if you weren't. The food is great, so is the atmos, and some of the money you spend benefits local charities. What could be better. I was so impressed, I've just ordered a t-shirt from their online shop as they didn't have my size in store on the day.

Booked as there was 6 of us and wanted afternoon tea first one of group as it was a birthday treat . All food was brought out together with a candle on the scone and everyone in tea room sang to my brother including Simon Calder ( travel journalist) nice guy. Food was good , grandson wants to come back for coronation chicken . Really friendly people. Don’t forget to check out local walks . If the square is full for parking then there is parking down the road. Highly recommended 🎉😘🎂💕🍩

Recently visited for Sunday lunch at Grounded Brothers and it won’t be my last visit. Service was so friendly and welcoming. The food was very very good! Really enjoyed the Cointreau-Versial cocktail (made with tequila, Cointreau and agave syrup). To start I loved the Rosemary and Date bread with homemade cultured butter. The Cevine Onion Tart Tatin with all the trimmings was fantastic(the tatin was one of the nicest things I’ve eaten in a long time). Sticky Toffee Pudding with the Butterscotch Sauce and vanilla ice cream was a decadent (but not too big) end to a gorgeous meal. The setting is cute - weirdly I like being able to see into the train station - and the meal was very good value. Highly recommended. I want to return and eat my way through the menu!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very rude and obnoxious person, who insisted we waited for service while she was chatting to a customer about the weather. Then there was the food ...my children became ill shortly after we left the place, they had tuna baguettes and for some reason they tasted off . When questioned about it the very impolite individual said"if you don't like it then leave" The Café itself was poorly maintained, their was slight odour of mould near the main counter, the place was filled with trinkets to buy including photos of people eating on a summer's day there. The toilet facilities were unsanitary,no hand soap,no paper towels to dry hands with and no lock on the door. When leaving the Café it felt like we were leaving an old people's retirement home after visiting a relative,a Café/sandwich bar should be welcoming and should make their own food not fillings from plastic containers with no indication of it's freshness! Since then I have spoke to several unhappy diner's who complained about the workers there who still seem to think being snappy, aggressive and rude is the correct way. A warning to all please do not eat here if you value your wellbeing.

Juna is a consistently great place to meet for a coffee and a bite of something delicious to eat! It’s a bit of a tardis too, with plenty of space and outdoor seating too. Often end up buying a birthday card or a loaf of bread or something from their lovely interiors range. Service is always friendly too - can’t recommend it highly enough!
