Booked as there was 6 of us and wanted afternoon tea first one of group as it was a birthday treat . All food was brought out together with a candle on the scone and everyone in tea room sang to my brother including Simon Calder ( travel journalist) nice guy. Food was good , grandson wants to come back for coronation chicken . Really friendly people. Don’t forget to check out local walks . If the square is full for parking then there is parking down the road. Highly recommended 🎉😘🎂💕🍩

Don’t have the jacket potato. Its served on a children’s plate .A small potato with little cheese .The salad is a few off cuts that are not a serving .Salad is so cheap ,there’s no excuse and for £8 it’s outrageous.

After a couple of hours wandering round Chilham Castle Gardens, we couldn’t resist a quick visit to this quaint little tea room. Having not long had a picnic, we weren’t really hungry, so just shared a tea cake, which was thoughtfully divided for 2 plates. The proprietor’s dry humour and historic tales entertained us and rounded off a perfect day. Thank you for giving that extra special service that I’m certain will ensure your continued popularity.

Oh my goodness the absolute best cake I ever had. Seriously! We stopped on our way to Dover on a guided tour. Thank goodness we did and stopped by to try something from the Church Mouse Tea Room! WOW! Family run, super friendly and everything home made. Just incredible! If you are anywhere near Chilham, England,,, it's a must stop! quaint little village of Tudor inspired buildings and Church. Lovely little town square, but the Church Mouse Tea Room is without a doubt the place where I had the best Cake I've ever tasted. Butterscotch Cake. WOW!

We discovered the Church Mouse Tea Rooms about 3 months ago and all I can say is we love it so much we go almost every week! We've tried everything from sandwiches, rolls and scones to cake and afternoon tea and everything has always been amazing. Barry and all the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Prices are very reasonable and the tea is great. Go and try it, you won't regret it.

We visited the Church Mouse last year and we enjoyed it so much that we came back again this year as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. Barry spoiled us again with a delicious afternoon tea. He took account of our fussy fads and gave us marvelous sandwiches, warm scones and nice moist cakes. Thank you again Barry. We will back again next year.

My Mum and I had a cream tea, which was perfect - a REALLY nice pot of tea and the scones were beautiful too (no dry roof of mouth). We couldn’t have asked for more. The man who looked after us was so nice, very friendly, and couldn’t do enough for us. There was also a nice selection of sandwiches etc., so we will definitely be back for lunch. A nice stop if you’re out on a drive and looking for somewhere to have a bite 👌

Enjoyed our short stop here immensely. It’s a quaint tea room with the nicest staff. It’s what I would consider quintessential old world England. The town is beautiful and also enjoyed a visit to the Church just steps away from the Church Mouse. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time for a sit down lunch, but we ordered scones with clotted cream and jelly to go. The best scones we’ve ever had! Delicious!

This is a tiny, olde-worlde tearoom set in the heart of a beautiful village. It serves cooked breakfasts until 11.30am, and thereafter a selection of sandwiches, cakes, jacket potatoes and afternoon teas (including cream teas, with gluten-free scones available on request). My husband had a sausage sandwich and I had a cheese jacket potato. Service was friendly and prompt, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this tearoom to anyone.

Went there expecting to get food and decent beer. NO Food. Looks like pub is up for sale with little interest. Beer was OK, but pub noisy due to football. Definitely one to avoid. Went to Eureka for a nice curry instead,

We had a very good meal at The George at Molash; we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table, the service was very efficient and the waitresses were professional but also friendly. They looked after us superbly. We chose our meals and these took a little time to come out but we were not worried about this as we were chatting and food was cooked freshly to order. Other tables were informed about a wait for some foods as they were cooked freshly to order. This didn’t affect us too much as we ate quite early - table was booked for 6.30pm. The pub was very clean and tidy. The portions were good - for both dinner and we had a dessert. We finished the evening with herbal teas and were shown a selection to choose from. Overall we had a very nice evening at The George, and had good food, service and atmosphere.

Previously visited the Tearooms when they were located outside the front of Perry Court. The food was excellent and cheese, chutney sandwiches were huge and fresh. Has to be said for the new cafe the staff are great - however the new sandwiches are appalling. Cheap supermarket, sliced bread and a smattering of grated cheese for ££. Phenomenally expensive. A huge disappointment and wouldn't return.

One of the very best Sunday lunches I have experienced. Served piping hot and with a smile from our server. Beef was generous and left pink in the middle, great Yorkshires crisp on the out side but soft and tasty in the middle. Fantastic choice of vegetables roasted parsnips, red cabbage, cauliflower in white sauce and a side bowl of cabbage, broccoli and green beans. Roast potatoes were perfect for us crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Thick, tasty gravy and lots of it. Just a great and memorable lunch. Good selection of wine by the glass and beers. Staff are all smiles, efficient and charming. Instead of the beef my wife tried the vegetarian option and declared great alternative!

We are staying nearby and were recommended The George. So glad we were! A traditional village pub but extremely welcoming to visitors. Lovely food, friendly atmosphere, excellent selection of drinks and even a pool table and a telly! So glad we came here 😀
