Went for a family birthday gathering. Very welcoming on arrival. Excellent service. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend it.

Lovely warm atmosphere went on instagram recommendation ,birthday & anniversary celebrations. Only Went for pies disappointing as no pies available .. alternatives didnt disappoint though . Good job i check bills charged for 2 wines not 1 🤨 Lack of leadership i thought front of house other than that ok

I took my mum to the restaurant early on Friday evening. It was a warm & welcoming atmosphere. I chose the goats cheese & poached pear tart & mum had a small fish & chips. We then shared an apple & blackberry crumble with custard. All of it was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed our meal & evening so much that we went back the next night. This time we both went for the chicken, leek & mushroom pie. It was huge & scrumptious! No room for puds this time! The staff here are very friendly & helpful. We thought that we received excellent value both visits. Highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely lunch with friend’s yesterday and the staff were great, Especially Lily who looked after us. I had to mention that our cups of latte arrived semi warm, and that’s something I personally don’t like. When I mentioned it to a member of staff she said that she would point this out to the technician on his next service. Food was really different, tasty and the presentation was superb. We heard about how good the pub was from The Jess, Jake and Norma videos on Til Tok, so we thought we would give them a try and glad we did, and will definitely be back.

Called in on Sunday lunchtime while travelling through the area. Welcomed by very friendly staff, and restaurant manager who was accommodating. Slick service, good food and very dog friendly. All the waiting staff were very personable. Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch.

The food was poor, steak was burnt and left, the fish was very poorly cooked. But edible. Service was good

When myself and family walked into the restaurant/pub, we immediately felt at home - the staff were all really welcoming. The fireplace made the place feel really cosy and warm. The atmosphere was amazing as the staff were attentive and all the other customers seemed to be enjoying their experience also! The food was absolutely gorgeous! I had the beef brisket starter, (didn’t manage to get a photo) the steak and boltmaker pie for my main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Each dish was so tasty, I didn’t want to stop eating! Our overall experience was honesty a 10/10 and we cannot wait to return! Keep up the fantastic work The Foresters Arms!!!😋

Stopped for something to eat nicely surprised by bouncy castle, sandpit and slushy’s for the kids. Food was gorgeous, generous portions and reasonably priced . Husband had mixed kebab which was large portion and quality! Highly recommend staff were attentive and friendly.

Birthday lunch treat from a friend. We both had the linguine which was delicious. I had the panacotta, with berries and ice cream which was very nice. My friend had sticky toffee pudding which also was so nice. The service was spot on and I want to give a special mention to Emily who is a credit to you, she was friendly efficient and helpful. Will be back soon and also recommend to friends.

Great pub, great service, excellent food. Bit of wear and tear outside but you can see they are actively working on improving this. Well worth going for a meal, I recommend the sirloin steak, £26 but worth every penny.

A good menu and out of the ordinary for pub food. My husband and I chose different meals but although presentation was very good the food had far too much salt in it. It quite overwhelmed some of the flavours unfortunately. However, apart from that a good meal and good service. It won’t put us off trying again though.

Me and my partner came here for some lunch today, and we could not fault it! We ate from the new Terrace Menu and it had great food options available. The service was absolutely spot on too, working hard to make sure we had everything we needed, and were attentive throughout. The food was lovely, portion size spot on (great VFM), so tasty. They’ve done a great job with the Foresters and we will definitely be back!

I visit the Foresters at least once a week for lunch and drinks. Has switched owners a few times in the last couple of years but everything has now settled down for the better. Staff are lovely, food and beer are both excellent. Our favourite local!

First time trying this place Website says opens at midday however arrived at 1.45 and sign says open from 2 Nearly left but very glad we didn't. Food was excellent - kebab dish was amazing. Other dishes just as good As we were 1st in atmosphere wasn't there but can imagine it being good Service was excellent as well Definitely will be returning and definitely recommend a trip out to this place

Laura looked after us so well! Food punches well above its weight and price point. So lucky to have this so close to us! And not just dog friendly, dog encouraged which is lovely

We used to frequent this pub in the past, but have not done so since it reopened under new management. On the off chance we dropped in for lunch and a drink, and we are so glad we did. The place was clean, modern and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The beer was kept well and the food was excellent. If you want a drink with a good quality tasty meal, this is the place

We went to the Foresters for Sunday lunch with our friends today. They had told us how good the food was and we weren't disappointed. The Sunday roast was particularly good.

Excellent food, great service, plenty of staff and a good atmosphere. We will be back.

The pub was lovely, clean and modern. The food was good quality, well portioned and was full of flavour. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They were welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our meal and our visit. The pub was busy which is testament to how nice it is, but didn't feel too crowded.

So love the pub and realised we hadn’t called many times over the last 6 months and certainly not had a meal. Arrived about 6.30 to a near empty pub, can’t say the lack lustre barman was welcoming as he remained static between the 2 drinkers at either side of one part of the bar, so we had to talk through them for our order. Waitress very welcoming informative and cheery, sat down and offered menus. we ordered the tapas had 5 dishes and can honestly say we've never had such a mess of over cooked tasteless food before Chicken wings very thick tough breadcrumb coating and little meat, calamari tough and stringy with a dip that would be better with a spicy meal, bread oils and balsamic.. bread ok but this must the cheapest balsamic available as it was so sharp and bitter, Black pudding scotch egg a mush of mess claggy and tasteless and finally the lamb kofta over cooked bullets of meat. I looked at my wife and asked her..is it me or is this really bad.. really bad was the reply. Haven’t experienced food like this for years Only positive was the waitress Didn’t complain as we didn’t want a scene and went going to wait for it re-making just paid up and left and won’t return

It's a short walk for us so we go often. The menu is varied, the food is fantastic and the service and atmosphere are excellent. Great for dog walkers, families, small groups or large groups. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Been for Sunday lunch & it was absolutely amazing. The staff were very attentive and helpful & couldn't do enough for us. All 4 of us had 3 courses & and every one of them was superb, no one had any complaints, (normally have a niggle here & there) but nothing everything was very good..... To be honest we didn't need 3 course's but we're just greedy lol We wish these guy all the luck for the future....

Just called at this lovely pub for lunch which has recently been under new management and refurbished. I’ve recently been diagnosed with an auto immune disease and really struggle to eat out having a severe intolerance to most food. Having explained to the extremely friendly and helpful manager there he arranged for the meal of my choice to be adapted to my needs, I had the mushroom gnocchi and I was delicious. I went with my daughter and my mum and both their meals were lovely. It was a lovely atmosphere, lovely new decor, great play list, warm and friendly staff. The whole experience was delightful, Would highly recommend.

STAFF- Ashley the landlord and Lillibeth were superb and amazingly friendly. FOOD- was unbelievable and the presentation was unreal and perfect temperature. Would 100% come again and definitely recommend to everyone. Ashley even let me sleep in my camper van in the carpark.

We booked here for an afternoon family birthday meal. There were 11 of us. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after and were sat on a very spacious table up some stairs. Our party was 6 adults and 5 older teenagers. The choice of food was good and we all struggled to choose as there was so much to chose from. The prices are on the high side but the quality of food was absolutely superb - there were 11 empty plates over all 3 courses. The Foresters food and service has really improved and we will all return. Noting some of our family had travelled from Harrogate for the occasion and said they'd definitely return again - maybe another family birthday. Thank you.

Absolutely blown away by this place and wished it was closer to where I live! From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was warm, friendly and had a classy vibe. The bathroom was clean and fresh too with little extras that us ladies notice! The staff were welcoming and attentive with good knowledge of the menu and what to order - top marks! The food and selection of wine was what made the night even more special, we had a mixture of the tapas and main meals and all were absolutely superb. Everything about it was a beautiful experience, from the friendliness and cleanliness to the stunning wine glasses and cozy atmosphere- I would highly recommend!

Very friendly and accommodating - they stop serving dinner at 8pm and we arrived twice at 19.55 and they got us all 3 courses. Nice people, snug seats and easy parking - welcome dogs too - great find.

Three of us had dinner here on Christmas Eve and what a wonderful experience it has been. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the food was delicious. We ordered from the festive set menu which has been thoughtfully designed to please everyone. The presentation and taste of each and every dish were excellent. This was our first time at The Forresters Arms but definitely not the last as we can’t wait to revisit in the new year.

The meal was absolutely scrumptious. The beef was very tender and I also had Christmas pudding and THAT was THE best. Lovely decor and friendly staff, the owner came and chatted to us, lovely guy. “We’ll be back …..”!!

Usually just a 'pop in for a drink' type pub. However, now under new ownership and what a fantastic turnaround. Food was delicious, fresh, reasonably priced and really well presented. Great service, all staff really friendly and professional. Not a grumpy face in sight! Nice and clean, and lovely decor. Definitely worth a visit.

What a difference. We called in for lunch, having been told by a friend that it was under new management. We went for the lunch menu. Not large but enough choice. Food nicely cooked and presented. Good luck to the new management. I hope it all goes well for you. The Three Acres and Dunkirk need to watch out.

Had lunch today with a friend. We ate front the set lunch menu. The soup was exceptional and as good as homemade. Main courses were lovely my friend had the steak which she said was perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and attentive, not too busy being Tuesday but still a nice atmosphere. Overall an experience to repeat.

Just moved to the area. Had lunch here on a Friday. Food was delicious. Fantastic value. Super friendly and professional staff. £16 for 2 courses or £19 for 3. Great choices. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Unbelievable once again… my boys and myself finally got to try Lobster for the first time and can hand on heart say we were not disappointed - exceptional service also!

Unbelievable food, me and partner came in for dinner one evening, we called to book and the booking process was smooth and seamless. We was greeted when we got there with a smile and had great service throughout the night, the food was spectacular and much better than previous. I had the scallops for starter and the steak for main and it did not disappoint. If you have a sweet tooth you need to try the deserts! I will be back

Came for a last minute Sunday roast and it was lovely. We were served by Ava, who was attentive and very professional, as well as the other staff. Alongside this, the Sunday roast was delicious! Visited a few nights before this and who I presume the manager to be was lovely and chatty as well! The foresters have nice, friendly staff.

What an amazing meal again tonight for our Friends 65th Birthday meal. Not only did we get a personalised menu, decorations and table favours….the specials board was indeed special today! Oysters, lobster, hake, carpetbag steak. I had the oysters and lobster with garlic butter and truffle and Parmesan chips. I’m still dreaming about it today. We had a wonderful waitress dedicated just to our party and the chef came out to greet all of the guests. I would like to extend a special thanks to Grace who, as always, was a dream. Love love love this place and what a great special occasion package they gave us!

Well what can I say went with friends and family for Sunday lunch had the most amazing prawns for starters and the the beef roast absolutely amazing the food was gorgeous and plenty ov it couldn't make room for pudding but some ov the family had them and they looked delicious.the staff was warm and welcoming will definitely be going again loved it.

Visited with family - 9 of us. Had a mix of dishes, all very much enjoyed. The highlights were the chicken liver and truffle parfait, the Mac n cheese bon bons, lamb kofta, fillet steak, monkfish, and porchetta. Fabulous service. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Lived in the village 20 years. The pubs had its ups and downs and Im glad to say its really on the up. Food was great, fresh, and well prepared, reasonably priced with no issues. Tuna was fresh and delicious and the sides were lovely. Great to see the place lively.

My wife and I have just visited The Foresters Arms for lunch. We ate from the two course set menu and we were not disappointed. The quality of the food was exceptional with service to match. We were looked after by Matt, he provided a great dining experience throughout. It was our first visit and we will definitely be back!
