Wow just awesome portion size.....I love my food, but even I couldn't eat it all so much so, I forsee a fish butty later tonight with to leftover.

Listen, my friends, you will not find a better chippy in our area. Amazing Fish will blow you away. It's a whopper. thick pure white flakes with a golden crispy coating. Portions are massive with chunky traditional chips, The price will not be matched anywhere. You have all the sides and more. I'm so happy to find my favourites as it's hard to get pickled onions and eggs these days. The owner is a top bloke and is always welcoming. it's not a franchise, so the staff care, and it shows. You have to try this place. Straight up.

The fish and chips are amazing, value for money with the size of the portions and the fish is lovely and crispy. Top fish n chips shop.

I was on a 2 day trip to the UK from the USA, and I really wanted to try proper Fish and Chips so my mate took me to this spot. The staff were super friendly, super accommodating, and generous. We ordered the Jumbo order, which was enough for 3 people, but I polished it off myself because it was so good. If I could give this restaurant six stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I would give it seven. Loved it. Highly, highly recommend it. Thanks again!

Excellent food, long journey from Stoke and we were ready for fish and chips. We were not disappointed, fresh cooked and the fish in particular was gorgeous. Very generous portions too, when they say large they mean large.

Great quality, freshly made, fairly priced and massive portions. We often come here for lunch when at work and have enjoyed it every time! Really lovely owner too.

We was at the chip box yesterday 26/03/24 the fish chip and mushy peas all freshly cooked both men were really friendly I ordered a small fish and chips with mushy peas and the fish was massive I would give theses guys 10/10 best fish and chips for a long time you can smell the fish and chips from Dewsbury train station thank you to the two men that gave me and my two friends the best fish and chips in West Yorkshire ill be back when in Dewsbury would recommend theses guy for fish and chips they smashed it small place but best fish and chips in West Yorkshire

Wow amazing just amazing! I bought 4 large fish and chips boxes for 4 of us. But we only managed to finish 2 boxes between us because of the sizes of the fishes they were huge and tested soooo good. Definitely would recommend to everyone. They are definitely worth it. They should be labelled as BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN YORKSHIRE and I'm not even lying , you need to go to belive it.

Just had fish n chips with curry sauce from here. The portion was sooo big that me and hubby shared it and we didnt finish it...it was soo tasty. Will defo go again.

This might look like a small shop but their fish and chips is better than the rest even better than the well know brands.

Picked up a delivery for uber and the guy at the front told me to start my delivery before he even made it. When I said no, he goes I needed to be taught a life lesson from him and started swearing when I kept saying no. I didn't say anything else afterwards but after delivering the food, I realised chipbox gave me a thumbs down. WARNING!!! to delivery drivers check your ratings from them after you pick up any food. Now if his reply doesn't show his attitude I don't know what will.

Yorkshire's best fish and Immaculate premises, friendly & efficient staff, chips to die for -The food here is fabulous. We tend to pick up food there 2-3 times per week . Everything is great. Wide choice of food!👍.

Brilliant friendly chippy. Our connecting train from Dewsbury station was cancelled so we had 40 minutes to grab some food. Fantastic fish and chips (huge portions) and loads of Northern hospitality. Highly recommended. 👍😄

This place is the best for fish and chips! Only place I've gone to several times for the same thing, continue to do so but mixing it up a little with a fish cake butty today 😂. Mother Hubbard's also a good place but chip box doesn't give off a smell or have a sticky feeling when you get your hands on the fish! Definitely worth a try for those who haven't visited, you will not be disappointed. Also no they didn't pay me to write this review they just have 1 very happy customer! I'd talk about the customer service but the foods that great even if they wasn't great guys I'd still go there 😏👌 24-02-2022 After trying fish n chips from so many local takeaways, by far the best is chip box! After my last review I've been consistent in ordering from chip box! Which has been quite a long time and still loyal to this fisheries! ... the owner even throws me free scallops when I praise the food 😂

Omg our fish and chips were so good. The portion size was massive and really tasty. The staff are so friendly and it was so nice chatting about football and stuff while we waited for our order to be freshly cooked. We will definitely be back when we are down that way again. Came here after a good 2 years as last time I came I almost butted heads with one of the 2 brothers that work here, the one who can speak English shouted at me for using too much Ketchup on MY fish n chips, then charged me extra for it, if it wasn't for my calm nature I would have caused serious damage but never the less went here again as my nephew was insisting, I stayed in the car whilst he ordered, ordered 2 fish n chips with extra salt n vinegar and ketchup and mushy peas, food was soggy and damp, chips were not piping hot even though we live very close, the fish was not crispy at all but instead soggy and like eating a slipper, the mushy peas was not piping hot either. All in all can't wait for this place to close and for something else to take its place !!!

Ate here 5+ years ago and wasn't amazed, but after seeing recent reviews decided to try them again. We went for a large fish and chips, large chips and a couple of curry sauces this afternoon. My word - portion sizes are extremely generous. The fish was the size of my arm - could easily satisfy two adults and a ternager. Large chips could easily be shared between 4/5 kids. Everything tasted amazing, would very much recommend to everyone. There was a very small wait while the fish was cooked but that was 5 mins or less so can't complain. Service was brilliant as well ! 👍🏽👍🏽

I've been a customer with chipbox since 2013, when I moved to West Yorkshire. Always received good customer service, tasty and good portion of fish and chips, good prices and the availability of being able to pay by card.

Fish absolutely massive and cooked perfectly, chip's were excellent too👍👍

Not great at all, at £7.00 for fish n chips and a can of pop you would expect better. The batter was soggy and incredibly oily and the fish was served under the chips? Who does that? I won’t be returning unfortunately.

My family and I have been regulars to Chipbox for over a month, regular meaning every Friday evening. We have always enjoyed out takeouts on weekends, but as you will have read from my other reviews I have been left bitterly disappointing by other food outlets in town. I am so impressed by the quality and service from this place that whoever I talk with in town, I always mention the place. At the time of writing, the country is on lockdown, and unfortunately Chipbox is closed to the public. I encourage anyone reading this, that as soon as it reopens please get in there and treat yourself. The only recommendation I have for the place, is that they need to get a social media presence going as many people I speak to have never heard of the place.

Even without the amazing service this place would be 5 stars. Portions are huge and prices are great.

The staff was polite and welcoming, we was served quickly and all the food was freshly prepared in a timely manner, not only was the food excellent quality but it was as cheep as chips (pun intended). Overall for such a small establishment the food is amazing quality and inexpensive. I would highly recommend that everyone trys the food from here.
