The best restaurants in Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

I’ve just been to Harveys at Holmfirth for a late lunch in chose to have the tapas which I must say was absolutely bob on we was lucky enough to be served by a very bubbly and friendly young lady called Tilda I would definitely recommend this bar /kitchen if you are thinking of dining out great food good atmosphere and relaxing music !!!! It’s a 10 from len 👍

Authentic Italian cuisine at is best,friendly knowledgeable owner/staff nice ambience what more can you ask we definitely will be back very soon.

I was visiting Yorkshire and had heard wonderful things about Volare from my family, and was so glad to finally be able to be there for a Friday night dinner. It was fabulous and lived up to all my many expectations. The food was beyond delicious, and the choices were excellent for each of us, one being a Vegan. The service was exemplary. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant, and only wish I lived a lot closer so that I could eat there more often!

It’s a good cafe for a quick bite and coffee, would recommend dropping in for a quick snack. Staff friendly and place was clean

A fabulous evening at the newly reopened restaurant. Four of us shared some tapas to start (the pig cheek was my favourite) then we all had delicious fresh fish for mains, the blackened swordfish was incredible. Excellent service, great ambience and decor and the food was outstanding, my favourite place to eat in Holmfirth, can’t wait to return and try more from their menu.

A fantastic place, I really can’t recommend enough. We have tried to book for a while and struggled, eventually we managed 6.15 Friday. Already very busy. Great food - we had focaccia and dips, tomato salad, fried chicken, cod, potatoes. The potatoes very incredible. Wine was eclectic - Japanese, Armenian! I asked to try and they were very receptive and shared their knowledge of the wines. The service is excellent, attentive, friendly - a great place and excellent value for money

Popped in for a mid-morning coffee during our visit to Holmfirth. The owner was very welcoming and we were soon chatting like old friends. The chef, who came down with a sample of the food for the owner to try, was a lovely character as well. Locals were coming in to eat during our visit and you could tell they were regular customers. It really felt like somewhere you'd be happy to return to again and again.

I live in Scotland and randomly selected this florist to deliver a basket of flowers to family in Honley. The service I received was great. So friendly & helpful. The recipient of the flowers was delighted with the basket of flowers,saying they were gorgeous. I was sent a photo of the basket received & they looked beautiful. So thank you so much forever green florist x

Fantastic food! I’ve I’ve ever had a nicer pizza I can’t remember it!! The dips are amazing too. Holmfirth is really a great place to eat and drink.

Fantastic pizza, great atmosphere! Very reasonably priced, perfect for a quick lunch while out shopping. Definitely will be coming back.

Went for lunch with friends, There are two Lost Property Cafes in Huddersfield, same ownership. We went to the Byram Street premises. I think the Georges Sq Cafe is a little more upmarket. I had a Bacon egg and sausage sandwich, which was nice but perhaps one ingredient too far. Try different dish next time. Reasonable prices for the sandwiches.

Visited a friend yesterday with my sister and his Mum. We were treated to a lovely Sunday lunch. Really good food and the chef should win a prize for roast potatoes! Great freshly cooked food and a lovely pub with good service. Thank you to all the staff for making such an effort for my sister, who is a coeliac. Much appreciated 👏

Amazing food and the Baodogs are amazing. Ordered a few items as it is so hard to choose one item. Definitely be back again
