Wow I have found them again, I did not know where the cafe had gone since the market closed. So pleased they have a new venue and as usual the food was just as good as ever, tasty, fast service and friendly. I will be visiting again often now, the only reason that I would visit Huddersfield town centre. The cafe suits everyone with low cost meals and plenty of seating.

We've been eating at this cafe for years and we have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, it's great value for money and the staff are really friendly. It's in the Packhorse Centre now - upstairs, and there's a lift for anyone that needs it.

Went here with my partner for lunch. We ordered 2 Penang curries with steamed pork dumplings and chicken satay to start. The chicken satay was delicious and my partner polished off the dumplings in no time. The penang was really tasty with a sauce that wasn't too thin and had a nice amount of spice to it. Total came to about £26 which is great considering the quality of the food. My only criticism would be that there wasn't that much chicken in the penang but honestly not a big deal. They relocated apparently so can't make any comparisons but we found the area to be very clean and private. The tables are situated outside of the cafe in kind of a terraced area. Will definitely go here again for lunch!

Been numerous times before they relocated but today was first visit in the Packhorse. Mix starter was very nice but not much for £7 and I think the wing drumette had come off a sparrow. Rad Ka Pork noodles were not what I was expecting. Said served in a sauce / Thai gravy but was more like soup ( spoon required to drink the liquid) there was something very weird tasting in this dish that I'd not encountered before and it was not to my liking so will not order it again. Also at £8 I would have expected more than the 3 meagre pieces of pork which were tough and bland. Think I just got unlucky on this occasion so will return as has always been spot on previously.

Called to this little gem in the pack horse centre for lunch today and OMG... The food was fresh, flavoursome and filling. So we ordered the Thai green curry, sweet chilli chicken noodles and some prawn spring rolls type and 2 Diet cokes. It came to 21.60 but what you got for your money was worth it and there was plenty of seating area also from the old burger King. The staff were friendly, helpful and was doing her cleaning. We will Deffo come back here for something to eat and I do recommend anyone who lives/visits in Huddersfield to come here and try thier food.

A great find hidden away upstairs in The Packhorse Centre. It used to be in Queensgate Market. The food has always been great and it’s affordable too. I’ve mostly enjoyed the authentic Thai soups and Thai Curries but they do much more than that… totally recommend.

The wife and I love Thai food so thought we'd give this a try as it has been in Huddersfield for years, but we've never been. We tried for Saturday lunchtime as this was usually a busy time so thought it would be a good time. We managed to get a table in the second unit and found a table at the back, next to the free water. The menu is authentic homestyle Thai cuisine and is quite vast with starters, mains curry's, noodles and soups. We had 3 starter dishes between us, including the sweetcorn fritters which were large and good. My wife had a red Thai curry with Prawn and I had a Crispy Pork and Cabbage dish which was excellent. All in all a really friendly traditional vibe and good food at great value £28. Will use again.

Having lived in Bangkok for 4 years we know good Thai food . Please do not be put off by the simple decor . It’s very Bangkok Cafe style & always busy during lunch. Run by an all Thai staff. The service is simple but friendly and efficient. The food is delicious cooked to order so always fresh . Dishes from £6- £7 pounds great value . You must try it if you haven’t already . We have been told they have also opened an evening Restaurant in Brighouse, but not tried it yet.

Brilliant place to visit, we regularly travel from Rochdale to shop in Huddersfield just so we can have lunch here. Never had a bad dish and it’s so reasonably priced, lunchtime two courses special is very good value for money, do yourself a favour and give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

We come here about once a fortnight and have been doing for about 2 years. Every time we have been the food has been amazing. Generous portions that are made in front of you from scratch. They happily cater for us as vegetarians and are happy to adapt any dish on the menu to suit our needs. This cafe is now the only reason we come into Huddersfield town centre!!

I am here at least 3 times a week! There are a range of dishes to try every day and the price is the same every day. Coming from Malaysia, the food they have here are the closest I can get to getting the right amount of spiciness & melts perfectly with my tastebuds.

Absolutely amazing authentic thai food. I have been to many Thai restaurants, but this trumps all & it is only a market cafe. The pad gra pow is just like it is in Thailand. Cheap prices... you almost feel like you’re robbing them. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Saturday tends to be “make tea easy” and have a takeaway. The choices are endless, BUT our favourite is Rice and Noodle in Queensgate Indoor Market Huddersfield. The food is simply delicious, the service brilliant and the prices spot on .

The best place to eat in Huddersfield in my opinion! Ignore the surroundings and slightly iffy decor. The food is utterly fabulous! Massive portions of super hot, super tasty food. Faultless! We ordered a duck broth dish and a spare rib in broth. They looked pretty similar but tasted totally different! £15 for 2 mains, 1 side and 2 drinks.

Huddersfield is my home town & this place has been open for some years. It is located in the central market so if you're thinking about a romantic evening for two, look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're looking for a brilliant selection of tasty authentic tasty crunchy crisp freshly prepared Thai food, then this place is for you. & meals are from £5.00. Five pounds. Is this a joke. No, no it's not, the meals are from £5.00. Most excellent.

We were in the market on Saturday and I suggested lunch, this cafe was busy so we decided as a table was free to sit down for lunch, my partner loves Thai food as it similar to Malaysian, somewhere she used to live, we opted for Chicken Satay and Yellow Chicken Curry, they did it as a lunch time offer of £7.90 plus 2 drinks, lunch came to £10.42. both the Satay and yellow curry were stunning, packed with flavor and delivered quickly. This is our new go to place in Huddersfield for a quick lunch.

I was taken to this quaint little restaurant for lunch, and I had moderate expectations, but how wrong I was to underestimate this place. I had spring roles and a yellow curry, and I have the food was extremely delicious, and for lunch very decent portions considering the price. I very much recommend giving this lovely place a try, just be warned it is rather busy and only has a small seating area and is understandably busy, so you may have to wait for a seat.

The food here is delicious and definitely worth trying. Don’t expect a fancy venue - simple chairs and tables - in the market hall - but unbelievable tasty food and excellent service- most people were repeat customers which says a lot . Set menu £7.90 for 2 courses- at lunch - choice of starter and main - I had chicken satay and prawn pad Thai noodles -

Great and authentic thai. I have been to the other ''really good'' thai restaurants in huddersfield and this one blows them away. My favorite part is that they give you the proper condiments to make your dishes really shine to your tastes. They have the vineagar chilis, sugar, red pepper flakes, ground peanuts, fish sauce, soy sauce, and lime. A real gem.

Called in for a spot of lunch following a verbal recommendation. All 4 of us were able to sit (although we planned to takeaway if a table wasn't available due to how popular this place is) we had 2 Thai curries and s stir fry dish plus starters. The food was delicious some of the tastiest we have eaten and much better than some local Thai restaurants. Would recommend to all. Be patient and wait for a table or join others or get food to go but this place is a must.

Ordered a takeaway for collection last night from this restaurant. My partner travelled out to pick up the food up and on arriving home and removing the lids we were very disappointed to find that they had given us the wrong order. I rang the restaurant to inform them what had happened however received no apology for this. We then had to ask for the correct order to be delivered instead of us having to travel out again as this was their error. With a lot of reluctance they agreed. When the driver arrived to our house he turned up empty handed and wanted the incorrect order back which had already been in our home, which really makes me question their hygiene given the current covid-19 pandemic. The driver was very ignorant and unhelpful. When I called back to the restaurant they said it was a different driver that had to bring our correct order back to us which we then had to wait a further 25 minutes for and on arriving the food was cold and had to be microwaved. It was also the same driver. After all this I had to ask on the phone for some form of compensation after what had happened, I would have like to think they would have offered it to us considering this was their error. Overall negative experience, will go else where in future.

Nice food but ordered 2 kebabs and chips which should of been £16 tried charging £28 pounds and for 3 kebabs and chips when only ordered 2 kebabs which would of been £24.. obviously trying there luck this has happened before so can’t be a mistake. There’s a sign on the counter saying prices may have changed to the menu.. this obviously is excusing them charging what they like. Make sure you check prices and change Or you will be robbed.!!!’

Birthday treat, with some travelling 100 mile round trip for it. I’ve had take away from them before and couldn’t wait to come back for sit down meal. Yeah we won’t be doing that again. Arrived on time to be told our table wasn’t ready. Taken out of the restaurant and into the coldest room known to man. No drinks. No time frame as to how long we will be in what looked like a massage parlour. 25 mins later we got squeezed into a room no bigger than the table and chairs. Food was hit and Miss for the whole group. Cost a lot for the over all experience and won’t ever go back to sit in again.
