Tasteless food , rushed service Felt like they wanted me to pay after starters , nice restaurant just bland food Maybe brush up on service and start making proper Thai food not just for western taste

The atmosphere is cosy and warm, starter presentation was great, but i found the fishcakes a little bland. The chefs special main of lamb shank was in a different league. Tender lamb hardly clinging to the bone, surrounded by potatoes and vegetables cut into pleasing shapes and all surrounded by a sauce tsting a little like a green curry. Jasmine rice completed the dish, making for a sublime experience. My wife had duck dumplings and prawn pad see ew, which was like a pad thai plus. Staff were attentive and happy, overall a very enjoyable experience

Finally we got around to trying this Thai restaurant but just for a takeaway . It was great to arrive to a warm greeting and see folks sitting outside in the early evening sun , will definitely try that if we get a decent summer ! We ordered corn fritters , chicken massaman curry, chicken red Thai curry and two rice dishes. Very reasonable prices. Everything was so delicious , large portions, lots of veg and sauces gorgeous. Thank you so much we will be back to dine in very soon.

Great service, fabulous food, lovely setting. Went in a Saturday evening with friends, really surprised how good it was. It's a very small place so you do have to book, the chefs cook fresh to order and the kitchen is open so you can see everything going on. It is tastefully decorated with an authentic Thai feel. The food was delicious, you could just tell fresh ingredients, well cooked, beautiful presentation. All had different dishes, spring rolls, satay chicken, fish cakes, pas Thai, panang curry, masamamn curry. Ice cream and cheesecake desserts. Also do take way and have a thai shop/food store next door. Actually can't wait to try this place again.

Staff are lovely, fair prices and the food it amazing. We go regularly and would recommend it to everyone.

Went here with friends a table for 4 booked for 6.45 , all on time what nobody told us at the time of booking the table was rebooked out at 8.30 until about 8.10 great !!! , we should have guessed when the waiter minutes after sitting down was asking for our menu choices, returning 3 minutes later to ask again then again , come on we’ve come out for an evening with friends to enjoy a catch-up , nice food and a few drinks Iam not at a motorway services . The place is compact but nice and clean , the food quality very good . But the whole rushed thing completely spoilt it , then asked for a taxi a big NO . As there’s no spare room in the place we had to sit outside in the cold for 20 mins waiting for our taxi.

The food and ambience was lovely. Think someone should have alerted us to the fact that there was a specials board. We only noticed it at the end and I would have had the squid, but my chicken satay and everything else was delicious. Maybe lots of takeaways when we arrived took attention away from the staff a bit. However, they were very good and we should have noticed the board ourselves. We will definitely return.

We called in yesterday after an afternoon at Smallshaw Spa. Not our first time, but the food is just as delicious every time. The place is a gem. Not too many tables so never too loud or busy, beautifully decorated, and the staff are always so lovely. Made us excited for a return trip to Thailand this year. Thank you Touch of Thai. 🙏

Drive past this place everyday and always wanted to try it. First time tonight, wasn't disappointed. Absolutely superb fresh and tasty food. Highly recommend.

It's one of the best Thai restaurants going. When you eat here, it has a lovely warm atmosphere, the true authentic taste of traditional Thai spices flavours, and your tongue literally dances with each taste. I shall definitely recommend this place and would love to try something else from their delightful menu.

Wow, great food! Authentic Thai meals cooked in an open plan kitchen. Inside was a bit cramped and noisy but the takeaway was absolutely excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I had the Panang Curry and asked for spicy, and it was perfect. My parents liked the green curry. We took our own wine and paid £4 corkage for the table. The staff were very nice and service was efficient. It was very busy on Friday night and a booking is essential.

Delicious authentic fresh Thai food. A hungry group of six enjoyed every dish we tried. The team were friendly and helpful.

My husband and I and two friends went to Touch of Thai this evening. We have been several times before but it was their first visit. They agreed with us that the food was superb.

Have had a couple of takeaways. Food is excellent. Dining in looks nice - casual environment and often seems busy. Definitely worth trying.

This restaurant is absolutely flawless. Considering how busy the staff are, the service is second-to-none. It is lovely to be able to see the staff cooking in the kitchen, and the food is so fresh and perfectly cooked. It is excellent value for money, too. Such an efficient set of employees in a warm and welcoming environment. We will be returning sooner rather than later!

Wonderful food great staff well worth a visit

Had a meal here with family on Saturday. Although there were gale force winds outside, inside was snug and warm, the food was superb and the service was spot on. Sometimes in restaurants you feel either rushed, or the food takes too long to arrive between courses - at Touch of Thai it was just right and added to our enjoyment.

First time ordering from here. Won’t be the last. Reasonable prices for Authentic Thai food. So glad we found it after moving to the area. Yum

We booked a table by phone in the afternoon for early that evening (to avoid the trick or treater's!). We were served by a friendly and helpful waitress. Those preparing the food, certainly know their stuff and remain calm and organised at all times (you can observe them at work from your table). All the food was excellent; jam packed with flavour and fresh ingredients. We hope to return soon.

Absolutely delicious and unique to the area

This restaurant is amazing. We keep coming back because not only is the food great quality and tasty, but the atmosphere is fantastic, too. I also recommend you check out the little tray of condiments next to the counter (near the glasses), which compliment your meal: chilli flakes, hot oil, peanuts and soy sauce. You can pick it up and take it to your table. The meal sizes are perfect, and the food comes quickly. The parking can be a bit tricky if someone has parked a large car.

Many visits here over the years. First of all, the food is just superb, some of the tastiest, freshest flavours I’ve ever experienced. The staff who work here, cooks and servers are super friendly, as are the owners. The place is both an eat in/take away. If you choose to eat in, you can also take your own alcohol which is great. I can’t recommend this place enough. It really is a hidden gem. It’s such a shame that it’s currently closed. I do hope you open again soon - we miss you ❤️

Unfortunately I think we visited on a bad day as whilst the food was OK the speed of the service left quite a bit to be desired. Our enjoyment was also spoilt by the Takeaway queues in the restaurant itself and diners arriving for their meals having to stand around waiting for their tables to become available. Not a great experience which is a shame as this place came highly recommended and I don’t feel inclined to go back to see if this was a one-off.

Love this place! The food is amazing, and the service and friendliness of the staff is a credit to the team who run Touch of Thai. Nothing is too much trouble. It can get quite busy as it’s such a popular place but that doesn’t affect the quality of food or quality of service. The meals are cooked in view of all customers and if ever they are under pressure the ladies in the kitchen never show it. The servers are always friendly and polite. I just wish I could visit more often.

Hidden gem! This place is absolutely sensational. We’ve been coming here for years and the food is amazing. I’ve eaten loads of food in Thailand and this is super authentic. The restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. Enjoy!!

Never before have I been spoken to like that. I called to book a table and heard a rushed telephone message recording by a Scottish man. (The restaurant is based in Yorkshire so to hear a rushed recorded message by someone with a thick Scottish accents throws you off a bit) All I heard was something about takeaways call another number and any future bookings leave a message. Therefore I thought booking a table for later that night fell under the criteria of "future bookings". So i left a polite and friendly message requesting a table for that night and gave my number. A few minutes later the vile, rude Scottish man rang me back and spoke to me like I was dirt! Am absolutely flabbergasted that I was reprimanded like a naughty school girl for trying to book a table! I just cannot believe that someone in the service industry would ring a potential customer and be so confrontational. That is one rude man who needs to learn a little about customer service! If its so important to you that customers do not misinterpret your rubbish recorded message get someone with a local accent to record it so that your instructions are clear! Or possibly have the separate cafe telephone number advertised on your Google ad. I then rang the cafe as instructed and spoke to a Thai lady who was also quite rude. She offered a table at 5pm and said "but you must be out by 7pm". I have no intention of taking a table for more than a hour or so (assuming prompt table service). Rude, rude staff.

Took my family here for the first time and they were not disappointed! Every meal was cooked to perfection, both the chicken and pork dishes we had were beautifully tender and cooked in a sauce that was packed full of flavour and heart. With my dad saying: “it was one of the best meals he’s had in his life”. To some up our visit in one sentence - “this is Authentic Thai food cooked with love and passion”. I would highly recommend the duck spring rolls and pad prik sod / pad krapow as both were beautiful. Thank you!

Always have a brilliant meal at this restaurant. It never disappoints. My favourite is the Prawn Red Thai Curry. So light, delicate and delicious.

Visited last night with a group of friends. All have been before and enjoyed the experience. Not so this time. Starters took ages and then did not arrive at the same time, over 30 minutes between first being served and the last and one starter being left off the order. Main course arrived after another long wait. Once again they did not arrive together. I had all but finished mine when the last order arrived. Overall a very poor experience. Will we return? The unanimous decision is no!

Absolutely terrible service from staff!!! Did not give the order that was placed then lied about what had been ordered. Really horrible customer service!!! Rude. Will not return!!! Thinking that there had been confusion my partner also rang to clarify. The manager didn’t deal with the situation in a polite manner and ended up raising her voice. This was unacceptable when we were simply clarifying if we had been charged and what had happened. We were told we were given free prawn crackers because we’d also had to wait to collect the food in the first place (it wasn’t ready). Yes I could drive for 15 minutes to return to collect the rice which was missing but after being spoken to in this way, it wasn’t worth it nor was having cold food we’d paid for whilst we collected more. We were told that we hadn’t ordered rice, or paid for it and then told we were given crackers because it was strange that we hadn’t ordered rice. The business need to get their facts straight and help to resolve issues rather than changing their stories and shouting at customers. I’ve never had this before. Disgraceful

I will keep it short and to the point. Ive been to Thailand, north and south. This is the only place that ive eaten at in the UK that comes anywhere near true Thai food. I will certainly go back

Good food but very poor service. Birthday meal last night waited an hour and half for starters that never came, so we just had the main. Far too busy with take away customers, focus on take away has spoilt what was a special small restaurant experience. We saw other customers walk out fed up waiting for their food. Such a same as staff are lovely but just can’t manage the volume of orders. Good job we had plenty of wine with us, so still had a good night but we shall not be returning to dine in again, certainly at a weekend

The food is amazing!! But unfortunately they seem to care more for the takeaway people than the people in the restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 40 minutes with no explanation Two tables around us complained and another walked our without getting there starter. Are you a takeaway or a restaurant you need to decide!!!!

Good place to eat well worth a visit.

An amazing place. Beautiful little restaurant, staff were wonderful and extremely attentive. It is not licenced for alcohol, but you can take your own. The kitchen is designed so you can see the food being prepared and cooked. One thing I would recommend is to leave your coat in your car or don't bring because the kitchen is open to the dining area you do pick up the fragrance of the wonderful food. Looking forward to eating here again some time soon. Go and ENJOY!

Really out of the way small place, looks like a low cottage from outside. Not a huge menu but good quality food cooked in view. Bring your own alcohol and pay nominal corkage once for the whole table.

We tried Touch of Thai for the first time. Not able to sit in restaurant due to covid so opted for a takeaway which was ready on time and was excellent food. Once restrictions have been lifted we will be using the restaurant!

Ordered take-away from them for the first time last week. The food was amazing and available really quickly - They also have the restaurant area really well set up for a socially distanced collection (especially considering the limitations of the small room!). Will not hesitate to use again for take-away and look forward to eating in once the restrictions allow.

I went with my friend. We had to make a reservation due to the pandemic rules. The place is a bit hidden and seemed like popular amongst locals. The price is a bit higher for takeaways but looked like a lot of people do that....
