This was our first time here at just Thai and it won't be our last, the food was excellent one of the best if not the best we have had. The place and service too was brilliant hopefully it will carry on giving us the great service and food we like ten out of ten

Gone down hill, we have been ordering take away from here over a year now on a regular basis but lately the food has been average at Best! But the last take away we ordered was totally inedible very over salted and I probably like my food more on the salty side! Rang to complain and was told by the manager “ar lass made it last night I will let her know” The only thing we can do is offer you a discount! They won’t be a next time after that. I can’t believe they just microwave your food it’s supposed to be a restaurant! I’m sure if you told all your customers your food will be lovingly prepared by our microwave tonight they would walk straight out of the door!

Car crash. Extraordinarily slow service. Manager borderline rude. 35 mins just for someone to take our order. No main course after 75 minutes. Dirty plates left in front of us for half an hour. Food was beyond bland. It’s an insult to Thailand to call this Thai food. Iceland (the supermarket) does it better…and expensive for what it is.

Oh my. Where to start. Possibly the worst meal and experience I’ve had in an eatery in years. Service is beyond slow. Over 30 minutes of being ignored before anyone took our order. Dirty plates left in front of us for half an hour. Manager was brusque and rude. Food was absolutely terrible. Just tasteless and bland. It really is insulting to Thailand to call this Thai food. Zero flavour: zero spice. Absolutely no character to any of the dishes. Just awful. After 75 minutes our mains still had not come so we left hungry, disappointed and £40 poorer. Absolute waste of an evening. Lord knows why it has so many positive reviews.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal at the Denby Dale restaurant and all courses were superb. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and service experience was excellent. Will be returning soon.

I was working until 18.00 on Xmas Eve & knew I was going to be tired so decided to pre order a takeout for us to collect. The staff were really accommodating & accepted our pre order, via email, a couple of days in advance. The food was ready within minutes of our prearranged arrival time, so piping hot! We’d ordered prawn crackers, two mixed starters, deep fried tempura battered prawns, two red Thai chicken curries + coconut rice. Everything was absolutely delicious…beautifully cooked & perfectly spiced. We’d waited in the very nice, warm & comfy bar area of the restaurant whilst our order was brought to us. All the staff were super friendly, helpful & efficient. There looked to be lots of people dining in & appeared to be a nice vibe about the restaurant.

It’s been a long time since I visited a restaurant that ticked all 3 boxes, food, service, atmosphere and Just Thai did. I hadn’t been before but the food was so tasty and fresh. The staff were really friendly and food and drinks served to a perfect time scale and it was warm and cozy. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be going again.

Booked over 3 weeks before visit, when we arrived there was no booking and quite rudely turned away, not even offer a take away, will not return

Visited for the first time yesterday evening (party of 6) everyone was in agreement that the food was delicious!! The best chicken satay ever! Highly recommend the yellow curry also! Everything was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Service was fab, I booked the wrong night but we were there at 6.20pm and luckily they were accommodating and squeezed us in. No complaints what so ever. We ordered 4 tapas dishes plus rice on the recommendation of our server and ended up ordering another dish as everything was so good. Brilliant quality and a cheap bill at the end. Definitely satisfied pregnancy cravings.

We visited last night with our two sons, and the food and service was amazing as always! We have been visiting for a number of years now and Andy and Pat and team always look after us. Be sure to let them know if you would like your food more spicey... as the standard dishes are prepared to suit the English palate.... where as we like plenty of spice, so we always ask for it 'Pat Spice' which always does the trick!! Thanks again Andy, Pat and Team..... we are so lucky to have you guys in walking distance!

Not the best. Been before & was absolutely raving about Just Thai. I dont understand what has happened but the standard wasn't the same. My main meal was delicious, can not fault it. The service was as expected, lovely waiting staff, to my knowledge though no one was asked about allergies - not that it is an issue, but it seems to be scripted in to all service speil nowadays. I'm tied between a 3 & 4 rating - so I'm going to be generous & give 4 for service, cleanliness & the main. It was the starter that has made me think twice about returning. The Thai fish cakes, had them previously & they were absolutely gorgeous, this time, unfortunately they had a strange, soggy consistency & looked very greasy. The fish cakes were the only let down otherwise 5* . The only thing of note is that the gents toilets are on the ground floor but the ladies are up a flight of stairs - I didn't see if they have an accessible toilet.

The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Added a photo of the mixed starter as it was my favourite part, had soup for the main which was full of taste and filling.

Highly recommend the tapas here, nice portion sizes for sharing, a big selection, all the ones we tried were delicious. The service is very good as well.

I am not one to usually give one star to restaurants as I have worked in one and understand the pressures involved in working there. That said, I was violently ill as soon as I got home; the food was good, but the pork wasn't cooked thoroughly enough to avoid the heavy flow of sick coming from my nose and mouth. The wait time was about 50 mins; I was diligent and noticed the older man picking up the phone and quoting the customer on the other end that the same dish I had already been waiting 30 mins for (the pad thai) would be ready within 15 mins. I still did not receive my food for another twenty minutes. By that point, my starter, which made me ill - had stopped my appetite, and by the time my page had come out, i was no longer hungry. I was waiting as my mum ate her food, disappointed that I hadn't even touched mine. The whole time we were right next to the car and kitchen, my body was very much facing them as to elude to the question, "Is everything alright?" but no took no such interest as to why I had not touched my meal. To top off the epic fail, when my mum asked for the bill, there were no reductions for the time it took to get our food, being met with a snarky comment from the old man saying, "50 minutes isn't that long". Not even a bloody apology! I had high hopes of coming here after a lovely day hiking in Holmstead/Holmfirth. We seemed treated differently from other customers, which made me quite sad. I digress. It will not ruin our holiday. Overall, Yorkshire is one of the best places I've been home and abroad, and the locals have been so loverly :) The young lad that was serving some of the time did create an excellent report to be with but could be a little more helpful and aware. But he seemed nice and was the best part of being there; I hope he does well. The old boomer-a** can scoop the sick out of my toilet... lol.

Authentic and tasty Thai food On my way home from work decided to pop in for tea. Lovey warm greeting g and opted for the early bird menu - 1 courses and tea or coffee for £14.99 Started with crispy chicken pancakes and followed with chicken and veg stir fried in oyster sauce. I chose jasmine rice as the accompaniment ( could have had egg fried rice, boiled rice or chips) Presented lovely - with carrots carved as flowers and both dishes had side salad Will be back

Food was very disappointing to say the least pork beef both chewy and not nice , the dishes were not authentic at all a liquidy sauce no flavour bland bland bland ! Wouldn’t recommend at all if your looking for a authentic food experience Nice...

Dined here last night with some friends. We were booked in for the Early Bird menu. The menu options were excellent and we had a really great meal. The service was exceptional and I can recommend wholeheartedly.

It was lovely but they need to make sure the tea lights are full before trying to use them to keep the plates warm, as most of the food was nearly cold before our first delicious mouthful.

I visited this restaurant for an early evening meal so took advantage of the Early Bird menu. The service was attentive and polite. The food was amazing. We will definately be visiting again. I could not fault them on anything. Thank you for such delicious food.

Experience spoilt by long delay between starter and main. Clearly lots of take always being attended to. Feedback not really accepted although 10% deducted. It’s a shame because the food was nice, the staff attentive but they don’t seem to have the capacity for what they are trying to do and just expect customers to put up with it.

A lovely restaurant, with fantastic staff let down by a miserable git of a manager, food was lovely but I’ll never return and put any money through his pockets, after turning up with one more than booked after my 8 year old niece begged to come with us, this was the end of the world and he was a miserable git from then on, even after a £250 bill and a hefty tip for the superb waiter Oliver, he still couldn’t muster a thankyou or goodbye as he glared over the bar on our exit, never again

This was the latest of several visits for us but I felt it worthy of another review given yet another terrific night. The veggie choice for the wife is second to none and the the rest of the menu offers something that little bit different but always tasty and full of flavour.Service is friendly and never rushed and, oh, that air conditioning last night when outside temperatures were unbearable. All told, a great ambience and another really enjoyable evening.

Veggie yellow curry for me, green chicken for my friend. DELISH!!It was ready for collection as agreed and it was quick and easy to pay. Portions are what I would consider a standard Chinese take away tub which is what I expected and enough for me!

After looking forward to a Thai for over a month now finally got round to ordering one .. ordered a chicken pad Thai , pork and Talay yang skewers , the portions were so small that we are now having to order a pizza , the food was average and silly expensive for what we got . I do not mind paying for nice food however this wasn’t worth it . Will not be retuning here very disappointed

I ordered a red curry, stir fry vegetables, spring rolls (only got 4 small for £5.90) & noodles and was very disappointed...carrots were brown, noodles sweet & soggy & even my boys wouldn't eat noodles. It came up to £25 for collection after discount and we didn't get any rice!

Overall very disappointed for the price of the takeaway! Veg spring rolls were small and the Pad Thai did not taste freshly cooked but rather severed from a pre made batch. The vegetables were very soggy and did not contain any chopped peanuts. Such a shame as this is our local Thai.

Our food was delivered in good time (we live 5 mins drive away)and the starter, Tom Yum soup, was tasty so would recommend that. However the two main meals were really bad. The spicy Thai curry was a lightly flavoured water with dried out chicken bits and the pad thai was an anaemic-looking flavourless dish with scraps of veg. Not good value for money at all.

We have visited Just Thai many, many times but always just the restaurant up until two weeks ago when the COVID-19 lock down came in. We have now used their delivery service a couple of times in the last week and the food has been every bit as good as the food we have had in the restaurant. On top of that, despite everything that has gone off the staff and overall service have been amazing!!!!! Thanks you so much everyone! We plan to continue supporting local businesses as much as we can....as we need all of you to pull through this current situation!! Thanks again, Tom & Neilson

First visit...Excellent menu choice, can recommend what I had, pork ribs starter, mixed seafood main. "Tasted/Sampled" friends prawn starter and duck main and will definitely be going back to have them!!! First class service in a lovely restaurant.

Really average food. Ok, small ish portions, completely underwhelming. Nice atmosphere, service was pretty slow. Have to say having a bill in the hundreds of pounds, and being asked to pay for another bowl of prawn crackers was too much. I did pass comment on this, but got no response.

Great food every time, plenty to choose from in a great environment. Seafood and sea bream are a favourite of ours.

This is the worst Thai food I’ve eaten. Chicken satay starter was tiny skewers of cold, dry chicken resembling buffet leftovers. King prawn main dish prompted a battle to get 6 mushy (probably defrosted) prawns out of their shells, 3 green beans and 2 pieces of carrot in an admittedly tasty sauce! The vegetarian fayre was pak Choi in a hot chilli sauce, and a fairly bog standard Thai curry of similarly small size. Total bill for 2, including 4 glasses of wine, was £73. The place was clean, well presented and service polite but without decent food there’s no reason to go!

Called in here on the way home from the cinema and really enjoyed our visit. Lovely decor, excellent service and the food was very good. I can recommend the hot and sour soup...very tasty.

Arrived for the early bird menu with my elderly father in law as a late birthday treat, unfortunately it was no treat for us. The restaurant was very cold so we turned up the valve on the radiator but it still didnt come on, obviously the heating was not turned on, its the middle of winter for gods sake. i had brought my elderly father in law out for this meal and he was frozen all night as was my wife.After a wait of about 15 minutes our starter arrived which was ok, we then waited over half an hour for our main courses to turn up and when they did no rice came with them until we asked where it was. The food was over sweet and 2 of the dishes were cooked in the same sauce even though they were completely different dishes.We have been to thailand many times and thai dishes are usually cooked in 5 or 6 minutes and every dish is very different, so why does it take so long to cook these dishes in england when the same base sauce is being used for 2 dishes albeit more chilli was added to one dish at a later stage and chilli flakes at that(what is wrong with using fresh chilli ?) There was only 15 people in this restaurant including 3 of us this evening so no great demand so why the long waiting times is beyond me the computer ordering system was blamed for the delay but we didnt fall for that one. What is the need for fancy computerised ordering sytems and lots of techy stuff behind the bar when a pen and paper will do the same job and probably a better one too. We certainly will not return here (and we have been a few times before)Come on Just Thai pull yourself together !

This was our first visit so knew little about the restaurant. We were entertaining relatives who live in Ipswich and reserved a table for 7 pm. We arrived early and despite there being many tables set and available we were kept waiting until after 7 pm while an unset table was prepared for us. We thought this very strange but thought nothing more of it. That was until a friend who happened to be sat on a table near to us, and who is a regular customer told us how good it was and even better if we had arrived before 7 p.m. as we would have qualified for the early bird menu that was great value. The mystery of why we had been kept waiting had perhaps been solved. It did not really matter as the food and service was excellent but we did leave with a feeling that perhaps we, as new customers had not been fairly treated. Shame as although we would like to go to this restaurant again, we are not sure.

What a wonderful place on what was a dreary,foggy November night.First time having Thai food,we were guided by my son and daughter in law as they had been before. Wide choice of dishes...cooked to perfection and so colourful and tasty.Loved the staff uniforms, the staff were attentive and very nice.Decor was lovely along with the atmosphere. Big age range of diners, very busy as well,which was lovely to see.

Everything was really good, although the restaurant was busy we were still allowed time to select our choices. Meals were served at at the same time and were as ordered and and hot. Waiters and other staff were attentive and on the ball Food was really good and good selection of drinks.all in all a good night out would definitely go again.

We booked for 8pm on a Saturday, 6 of us . When we arrived it was very busy and had a nice atmosphere. After about half an hour it went very quiet and while we ate our mains there was only one other table occupied. Lots of choice on the menu but a bit more expensive than other Thai restaurants we’ve been to. The food was lovely and we all cleared our plates and felt we needed a couple of desserts to share between us too, which we don’t always normally have. The bill was £100 a couple with drinks.

On the whole, this wasn't a bad experience. I would like to point out also that we did arrive just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, and the staff were accommodating. The food that I had I personally felt lacked a little bit of favour (Gai Satay, Pork Pad Thai). The atmosphere again was just ok, but I would like to again point out that this was a Wednesday night shortly before closing time so to a degree this is to be expected. The staff were attentive and polite, the food reasonably priced, but also lacked flavour. Good place for a casual night out with friends.

A bit bland for Thai food, the coconut rice just tasted like rice and the curry was pretty much just coconut milk and star-anice. We did get a free beer for spending more than £25 and a complimentary 3 free prawn crackers but it was just a bit lacking in the flavour department for me.

Went for the first time this weekend. It was nice, did enjoy it, for a change but was just very average food. Not bad did got not wonderful and I really think that all the dishes are way over priced for what they are. Don't think the thai fishcakes were fresh, more like frozen ones and a bit soggy, spring rolls were not great but the ribs were nice. We got the set meal B for two which was definitely not worth £53.50!!! They really should adjust their prices or dishes so you don't come away feeling like it was way too much money for the food you had. For that reason, I doubt we will be returning again. Also, I did find the manager was acting white rudely to the young girls that were the waitresses. I know one of them was only new and wasn't quite sure what she was doing at times but his mannerisms towards the staff I found rude in front of the customers even though he probably thought nobody would notice. I did, as I have a teenage daughter myself. May be just his way but I didn't like it and wouldn't work there!!! Venue was nice, clean and new looking and the staff were nice enough but not a greeting or goodbye or thanks or anything from the man who seemingly was in charge. He just took our name then clicked his fingers at the staff! Not cool!

The food was amazing ...... out of this world . The only two things I would say... to check on the drinks more often. That is me been super picky because ... honestly I can’t wait to come back. The best vegetarian food I have had since I have stopped eating meat. The second thing.... even though I am veggie .. I don’t like Tofu ... a lot of the food had this in . I think more options should say tofu or Vegetables . Again me been super picky ! Overall amazing . Thank you can’t wait to return .

From arriving to leaving staff were top class. Enjoyed our meals, only problem we had was that both our rices for meals arrived quite a few minutes after our meal, which we weren't really pleased about. Would I come back, maybe yes.

First visit here and would come back again. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Beautiful presentation of tasty dishes with lots to choose from. We all enjoyed our dishes but my favorite was my starter Hoi Tod
