The best restaurants serving Indian food in Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

What a fantastic find! We were looking for a restaurant that did masala dosa and were thrilled to find it on the menu. Even the fact its an unlicensed restaurant didn't deter us they havexa range of lovely mocktails. The dishes were different to any other Indian all freshly cooked and utterly delicious. The service was faultless too. We are looking forward to making this our new favourite restaurant and working our way through the amazing menu.

Myself and a friend ordered 4 small plates. The quality of the food is amazing, very tasty and incredibly good value for money. I cannot recommend Bambukat highly enough. It was very quiet when we visited but this restaurant deserves to be packed. Spread the word.

Absolutely amazing mix grill platter yet again, the food is fresh and super tasty I cannot fault it at all. We will be back

Very weird dining experience. All the front of house staff are young girls who seem very anxious and confused. The decor is very claustrophobic. The curry is average, except for one mushroom curry which was notably disappointing and more like a soup than a curry. The chef comes out and butters you up which I think is why it has such high ratings? Honestly that’s why we visited and we all left a bit baffled…

We went for a quick bite to eat. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. He gave us drinks on the house. He suggested some food off the menu and all of it was very tasty. Especially the paneer dosa. The devil chicken was fresh hot crispy with a lovely sauce. Hot fresh food served with perfection. I would highly recommend this. A family friendly restaurant located on the second floor

Although a takeaway without a restaurant, The quality is extremely high with all the curries even a basic Chicken korma is packed full of flavour. When it comes to the hot curries such as Madras's and vindaloo's many takeaway struggle to find the balance between flavour and heat Imrans do this perfectly with comprising flavour or spice. Friendly staff and a very clean open working kitchen.

We had a fantastic dining experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich and authentic flavours. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. A lovely touch was the complimentary shot and chocolate at the end of the meal — such a thoughtful gesture. The only slight criticism was that our table was next to a radiator that was uncomfortably hot. However, this didn't overshadow what was otherwise a brilliant evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely warm inside staff really nice gave. Us choice off 2 tables , pickle tray n poppadoms really nice , I got chicken buna was lovely n his lamb buna was 2 got plenty 2 n chapatti s big n was really warm all food n fresh I'm a fussy eater but will defo recommend and go back 👌

Lovely welcoming people and delicious food with lots of variety for us vegetarians. Cannot praise it highly enough.

Originally gave this place a 5 star rating a few years ago. It has gone rapidly down hill.. either that or they really don't care about delivery orders!! All customers should be treat the same In my opinion. Didn't listen to any notes added to order and food was very poor. Everything from the starter to the main course, bland, greasy and honestly quite disgusting and very disappointing.. its not cheap and sadly there are much better places around offering much better value when it comes to delivered food. Won't be ordering from here again. Please note my photo is from years ago and can't be removed

The restaurant An old Shop unit and appeared furnished and altered by DIY! One of our party returned from the ladies saying “it’s the worst toilet I’ve visited”. The Food Don’t even consider ordering the pickle tray & this has been mentioned by an other reviewers. A mixture of three watery, supposedly mango type chutneys and raw onions. Disgusting. We all enjoyed our main courses and would return BUT only eat the main course. So to summarise: The toilets need refurbishing. The pickle tray should be served with correct pickles not watered down for profit. As it is a “bring your own drink” restaurant the overall cost was less than we normally pay but was reflected in the pickle tray and the old fashioned and “tired” premises. Worth a visit for a a main course meal only, then leave.
