The best restaurants serving Indian food in Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Came as part of a large party of about 40 for my partners work event- the service was really good and the staff were very friendly and organised. The starters were ok- lacking flavour slightly but were hot and fresh. My parkoras were a bit oily but they were edible. The second course (I had vindaloo) was lovely, piping hot and fresh sauce that had a good amount of heat. Some restaurant vindaloos can be a lacking in spice but this was perfect. Good portion size and the mint sauce was lovely Would come back again

I was very much looking to a saturday evening curry which I ordered using the website promising 45 minute delivery. I phoned 90 minutes later to check where it was. The manager denied having received the order, was not only unapologetic but extremely rude and aggressive saying that it was not their responsibility. I spent the next three hours trying to have my payment refunded. In the managers defence he did eventually apologise for his earlier conduct. However, if you value your disposable income, free time and sanity stay well away.

It was unusually quiet and they no longer do bring your own drink, but the staff were still very friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty and plentiful. Never been...

as usual a fantastic dining experience all food freshly cooked and quality,alam and staff/family are on the ball nothing too much trouble karon and i would recommend the jewel of mumbai to everyone,it might take a little longer to be served when busy but worth it chill out its worth waiting for

very disappointed ordered a lamb curry was very small and had hardly any meat most of it was sauce i asked for tomatoes with salad they refused and said our salad does not have them i was amazed i never before seen this , they was only us in a what used to be a busy restaurant i will never go there again

Just had one of the best Asian meals ever ,the service was good food excellent and not expensive just lacks more customers but with food as good as this it wont take long.

I've been going every week now for about 4 months ( grope of 6 friends). Trying loads of different dishes has been excellent so far. It's worth a visit

food was not what I ordered, pre cooked chicken, ordered tikka massala and food was like dog food warmed up with chicken in it.

Our weekly Indian, always great quality and great price, the staff are lovely, so friendly, we love it here, great atmosphere, always very busy.

Visited ghurkar sizzler after a while of not going, and the food was lovely as always, flavoursome and the meat was tender and juicy as it should be. Tried the sharing starter today with a friend, and it was delicious. Took 3 first time visitors, and they loved the food and said they will be adding to their favourite restaurants and bringing their other halves along at some point in the future. The service was tremendous with every effort made to make our experience a good one. Thanks for a lovely evening and awesome food.

Did collection, always like to try somewhere new but overall not impressed. Waited for food but it was only luke warm when home, only 10min journey. Curries lacked depth of flavour, tasted like water based and icing sugar sweetness. Chicken was small dice, lots of it but it was dry in texture and lacked any flavour.

Always decent. Never had a bad curry here. Highly recommend the chicken jinga. Always fresh, tasty and great warm service cannot recommend this place enough.

Best food in Huddersfield! Never a bad meal there 😋 Mixed kebab starter is awesome. A meal in itself. Special tikka massala with pease pilau and a cheese n onion garlic naan, washed down with a large kingfisher beer.
