very disappointed ordered a lamb curry was very small and had hardly any meat most of it was sauce i asked for tomatoes with salad they refused and said our salad does not have them i was amazed i never before seen this , they was only us in a what used to be a busy restaurant i will never go there again

Everything was on point from the steaksauce to the customer service. Food was made with perfection. I will definitely visit again. Please try their cheesy seekh kebabs (scrumplicious)

Was not impressed with gee orange oil running off the food. The spices are powder I say and area where the powder was floating not mixed in. Spices should be fresh. Meat was tough.

Absolutly out of this world! Dined here for the piri piri chicken steak loads of times. Today we tried the mixed karahi special. Oh my god

Decent food, just avoid anything that sounds Mexican! Chicken and starters a good. Reasonably priced too.

went with family I had tawa for 2 it was a bit pricey compared to other tawa houses I did enjoy it some of the family had chicken piri piri plater that was large very filling will be going again

We ordered the Tava for two, it was delicious and nicely presented. Service was also nice and friendly. Meal came to around £30 for tava, side of chips and 2 drinks, but tava was like a starter and main (seekh kebab, chicken tikka, 2 curries, naan and roti, salad). I don't know why they have the blacked out widows because it hides what is a really nice, light and bright modern interior. I always assumed it was the type of restaurant aimed at adults only but not the case at all. I will definitely go back.

We went with a group of 11 lads and ordered starters main course and lassi! We asked for extra plates with our starters as we normally share the starters and the waiter said the starters come with plates , tried to explain that we put the starters on the centre of table and share amongst us but he seem to not understand however he did eventually bring the plates. The restaurant has changed the menu on the day so the platters does not include any sides which we found absolutely a ripoff but the prices stayed the same - that is a complete rip off - the chicken platter was nice but could do with more sauce! The Oldham Piri Piri frango platter includes chips and coleslaw plus drinks for £10 and the steak platter includes chips and rice for £9 at Oldham. The curry dishes at SAIMS are also £8.95 and the chicken tikka masala was awesome but only got about 7 pieces of chicken , that's not enough to feed one person ---Just a few tweeks and looking after the customers instead of ripping them off and this place could be awesome! It's ok to make profit but the portions need to reflect the prices charged!

Amazing place to visit - everything is quality. There is absolutely no point traveling across the county border. Save fuel and time - visit Saims! Hats off to the owner - awesome guy with a good heart! Respect !!!!!

My family and I visited this little treasure last week. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are huge. Service was great too. I highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be visiting again.

Very good take away and sit down eating. Very tasty food and the place is one of the cleanest set ups around Bradford Road. Prices are good and food very good.

The steak dishes from Saim's are consistently delicious. Cooked to perfection every time. The beef and chicken is always tender and the flavour is something special.

I have just come back from Siams after a visit there with my husband, 18 month old daughter and a couple of friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and were impressed with the quality of the food. We all shared various platters so we could sample the delicious food. The meals can be catered accordingly dependent on how hot you want your meals. All in all a great meal with family and friends and we would definitely go back. My only very minor criticism is that the restaurant doesn't take card payments. I'm not entirely sure if today was a one off or whether this is always the case. So come with cash just in case!

the best food I've had for a very very long time. personally beats nando's and is in a different stratosphere to a disappointing LALA'S which i was told was good but ended up being a waste of money. very bland food compared to Saim's tasty delicious curries and piri piri. Lamb burger is also on another level

Tried this restaurant around 3 months ago, being a lover of piri piri I used to visit nandos frequently. The food produced by saims is unbelievably fresh and delicious, 10 steps up from a nandos! I have not set foot in a nandos since and don't plan on doing again! Me and my partner find ourselves frequenting saims a minimum of once every two weeks. We know we are getting good fresh food at brilliant prices. We usually opt for the full chicken piri piri platter with sides of piri piri rice and piri piri chips with salad. Portion sizes are huge and we always leave more than satisfied. The service is outstanding and even through busy periods the waiter(s) don't neglect you, they genuinely care if you enjoy the food and if you leave happy. The bill always surprises us as it is extremely good quality food for brilliant prices. Cannot fault saims at all, we recommend it to everyone that appreciate good food and we are regulars for good!

Went here on Thursday for a birthday meal and havn't been for a long time - the staff were really pleasant and welcoming - all the food was beautiful and well presented - we are going back to try the peri chicken! See you soon.

I have been to this restaurant a few times in the past but it always seems to get forgotten. We went on Tuesday night & it was very very good food. Think we'll be visiting it more often.

I must have tried most Indian/Pakistani restaurants and takeaways in Huddersfield having moved to the area a few years ago. And whilst I've found the odd pretty good one, I've never been completely satisfied, until now.Brilliant mixed sizzler starter, perfect Chicken Karahi, served dry&hot (Asian-Style) as requested and great sundries - dreamland!Service was slick and friendly and the restaurant is spotlessly clean and in a contemporary style/decor. It seems to be a largely Asian clientele which is also a good sign. We were made to feel welcome.Great experience and something of a relief to find - we will be back for sure!

The piri piri here is flawless. Best chicken in hudds, possibly in yorkshire. Lovely staff and awesom, well priced food. My new regular.

We organised a birthday celebration for 17 at Saim's. The food and service were excellent. Many thanks to all the staff especially Mohammed who ensured everything went smoothly. 17 people were well impressed by the quality of the food. This is one of Huddersfield's hidden gems and combined with a visit to the Slubber's Arms makes for a fantastic night out.

I have been visiting Sains since it opened some years ago and still consider it to be one of my favourites; I just wish they wouldn't keep changing their offers!

My title says it all really. Have been coming here for years. Best freshest ingredients. Proper fresh ginger used. Love the chicken nahari and rogan josh. Also the keema is very flavourful. Friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble.Some tablecloths in the evening would help in giving a more "restaurant" feel than a cafe feel. Love it. We try other places and always compare to Saims and although other places are fine we always feel as if we have "come home" to the best by far, when we return to Saims

So glad we discovered Saims, been driving past for years and have never ventured in until my son kept going on about how good it is, wow was he right, the quality and presentation of food makes you feel like you are in a fine dining restaurant, the service is excellent, we're just sorry we've been missing out for so long :(Saims will now be our regular Asian restaurantPS this is the first time I haven't had the middle of night salt overload shakes lol Thank you Saim :)

We have been eating at Saims since it opened about 9 years ago. They currently have a 5 star rating for cleanliness and provide extremely good curries at very reasonable prices. (We can recommend the current set meals which are super value). Having a licence means you can have alcohol if you wish and the wine on offer is more than quaffable. Staff are extremely helpful and will advise about what food will suit your taste if you ask. The chef is up to a challenge and will make dishes to your requirements. What more can we say except if you don't try Saims you're definitely missing a great opportunity!

I have been coming here regularly over the last year or so. One of the best curry houses I've been to as the food is cooked fresh. It always seems to do more in takeaways than restaurant meals which always surprises me as the service is second to none; polite, friendly and not too over the top, If you are regularly order takeaway from here you must visit for a different food experience.

I regularly order meals by telephone for home delivery as quite frankly I do not particularly like the restaurant atmosphere (which is a bit stark) or the area in which the restaurant is located. The home delivery meals, as in the restaurant, are really excellent and the best I have tasted. They will provide complimentary popadoms and all of the sauces, salads etc that you would normally expect in the restaurant itself. The prices are very reasonable, the food is usually delivered within the hour, it is well packed and keeps hot. I can easily well recommend the home deliveries.

The best curry I've ever had (including Mumtaz) after 30 plus years of eating Curries around Bradford and Leeds. Friendly staff, great decor, clean and has a licence too! Lots of Asian customers too which says it all about good quality

Positives.....Food excellent. Cooked to your taste. There is a la carte or eat as much as you like from smaller choice. You can indicate strength of spiciness. Even if we occasionally go elsewhere, we use Saims as the yardstick for comparison, and nowhere else matches Saims for the flavour, freshness and quality of the food.Staff friendly. If owner and son around, they always greet you. You always feel welcome.Not negatives but could make changes...Its never full when we call in. This always seems such a shame, and maybe cos it looks more of a cafe than a restaurant. So... Maybe some lamps to create atmosphere, which would soften the lighting. And tablecloths to look more welcoming and lessen the "cafe" look. These two things are cheap enough to doThis would put it on a par with other local eateries. As there is a lot of competition out there.Please try Saims. The food is fab

The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and cooked freshly just how we wanted it we couldn't find fault at all just wish there had been a little more atmosphere. We will definately be going back there again without hesitation.

We went quite late in the evening and the restaurant was quiet but the food was lovely and made exactly as we requested.

We regularly order take aways for delivery from Saim's on Fridays and ocassionally eat in.We have yet to find anywhere that does better curries. These are pakistani curries, so a bit different to the usual Anglo-Bangladeshi type curry houses - they do far more than just the usual staple of Kormas, Madrasses, Bhunas and so on.In fact, you're not getting the best of Saim's if you order these simple traditional 'english' type curries. If you want a simple korma or madras, then other places may do them just as well. BUT, BUT, if you go for some of the traditional Pakistani type fare then the food is simply amazing! For example, try the desi style dishes, like 'Lamb Sookha Bhuna', or the chicken makhani. Other favourites of ours are Lamb and Ginger balti, and the Bhindi is really great too. Tava Chicken Keema is an interesting one, and the fish or liver starters are great.If you stick with these more exotic dishes, you won't be disappointed - there is simply so, so much flavour in them its hard to describe. I've eaten at lost of curry restaurants but for the quality of the food this beats them all. Chef really knows his stuff, and obviously takes time and care to cook quality food.Its easily at least on a par with the likes of Akbar's, and in my view the food is better than say Mumtaz - though it doesn't have the same atmosphere.The service is always great (other than the comments about delivery below).And the negatives? There are some, although they do not put us off:- Delivery on a Friday night can sometimes be very quick but sometimes takes far longer than is promised when ordering. Don't leave it too late before ordering, or you may have a very long wait.- Its not cheap. There are cheaper curry takeaways around. But you get what you pay for.- The restaurant is very modern, and pleasant. But sadly sometimes a bit empty (which is a crime really considering the quality of the cooking). The lighting and seating can be a bit harsh, and its very open so its not really a comfortable, cosy environment to spend an evening.

Ordered our food at 7.30 was told it would come in 40 mins. Turned up at 10pm with parts of order missing and rest of food cold. Cost over 35 pounds for two curries and two starters majority went in the bin. Phoned to complain and all we got was ....Next time mention my name and i'll give you discount....RUBBISH. . . .

Service was terrible, food portions were small (despite full prices) – suppose the owner needs to build up the pot of money some how for the eye sore of a monstrosity he’s having building on Inglewood Ave???

I booked a table for my husband's birthday at the restaurant. We have eaten at several indian restaurants around Huddersfield and Manchester. I chose this restaurant on a friend's recommendation and i am glad we did. The food was out of this world, so fresh and delicious. I was impressed by the service which was friendly and quick to respond. The ambiance was perfect for the birthday celebration. I definetly recommend this to others looking for a nice night out with great food and we will surely be returning. Of all the places we have eaten before, this one excelled above the others.
