Aroma Restaurant & Grill in Kirklees

I've been going every week now for about 4 months ( grope of 6 friends). Trying loads of different dishes has been excellent so far. It's worth a visit

We are regulars we order atleast 2 times a week they have never refused to take our money before but last 2 days they have cancelled our order because we earnt a stamp card discount and they couldn’t bear the fact and cancelled our order twice after accepting it this is highly unprofessional it’s laughable I mean what has that got to do with us and why advertise stamp card if you won’t honour it we have never had this issue anywhere else I mean how greedy can you be absolutely unprofessional beh

This is 3rd time we have ordered from here , the curry’s are amazing in taste not greasy and the mixed platter is amazing !! It hasn’t let us down yet well done Aroma Grill !!

Over an hour late, when it finally arrived some items were cold and the rice was missing.

Portions were quite small but delicious. Driver arrived on time and was polite and friendly. Would order from here again.

Usually we haven’t any complaints as the food is very good. Tonight however it was a bit below standard, the yoghurt dip with the bhaji tasted a little “off” & the chicken in the tikka masala didn’t taste too fresh either. So was a bit of a disappointment this evening. But on the + side delivery is always on time,

We have eaten at the restaurant several times and always had a nice experience hence why we booked a table for a special occasion on Tuesday 3rd October for 7pm. We took a taxi to the restaurant to find out that it was closed with no notice outside to explain why. As this was the case we had to to take the taxi home without actually eating at the restaurant and we were obviously concerned and frustrated why the restaurant hadn’t called us to notify us that the restaurant wasn’t opening. When I called the restaurant the next day the waiter on the phone explained that the restaurant hadn’t opened due to a family issue. I explained to say that whilst our thoughts and prayers go out to the family the fact remained that we had spent wasted time, money and effort on making it to and from the restaurant that evening and the waiter seemed to show no empathy for this and didn’t offer anything by way of apology for either not getting in touch with us that evening or the day after to apologise for the lack of contact. I am not sure how many other tables may have been affected but surely as a restaurant that prides itself on good customer service the customers that had booked should have been notified at some point prior to the evening or the day after. As there was a lack of remorse shown by the waiter and no compensation offered we will not be coming back to the restaurant again which is a shame because on previous visits we’d enjoyed the food and the service. I strongly recommend the restaurant management learn from this experience and not make the same mistake again in order not to lose valuable repeat customers!

Just Eat website says free onion bhajis but didn’t receive and only response on the phone was “oh sorry”. Sag Aloo portion tiny despite ordering it as a “main” for £7. Rip off. £11 “special” biryani didn’t contain much meat either

Excellent food. Quality ingredients and perfectly cooked, flavoursome food. We’ve tried a few dishes now and all have been equally as good. I’m looking forward to the next!

Had a lamb rogan josh and a chicken desi masala with chapati and garlic naan delivered, both curries arrived swimming in grease, both curries were seriously lacking in flavour, to be brutally honest I've had better rogan josh out of a jar, they both only had about 4 pieces of meat in them, the naan bread was like pulling rubber apart and the popadom was smashed into about 10 pieces, definitely not worth over £30 , will not use or recommend these , absolutely rubbish food

Really substandard curries, chicken was with no flavour, sauce was the same flavour as the lamb curry which most Indian restaurants do which I hate, neither of us ate it. Best thing about the place is they allow you to bring your own drinks.

Starter very small. Curry was ok but over priced for the portion size

This restaurant is great for choice of food and very friendly efficient service. We had another family celebration for 20 of us. The food was outstanding and the service is second to none. Tip - if you are a large group, it helps is you can pre-order the food to keep wait times down.

2nd time delivery now from these guys. everything was hot , fresh , and lovely. Loving this restaurant at moment!

First time ordering ... Mixed starter was nice small portion but taste was nice . I ordered the hot chicken special curry not that spicy to be honest and not what I expected was a bit watery on the plate ..

Everything was lovely, but we were surprised there was no salad with the chicken tikka main course as it does list it in the takeaway menu. Previously we’ve also had sauces/dips with the poppadoms. Maybe all this was missed off the order by mistake?? If so it would not put us off from ordering/visiting again as it’s always delicious.

Order regular but this time food was overcooked and burnt. Manager so unprofessional obviously not trained or qualified to handle customer service and complaints. Very disappointing but thats fine if she would rather lose a regular customer than be fair. Absolutely disgusting no customer care WILL NOT be ordering again. Rang to order food just now and was told £18.50 the same food cost £16.50 on just eat including their fees. Should be cheaper to order direct rather than secondary apps.

Another superb evening for our group of seven. The Excellent food (some things never change) served efficiently by the amiable staff. Each course arriving and served to us all at the same time - no waiting for delayed items. The waiter joining in with our friendly banter whilst maintaining a professional distance. The ‘bring your own booze’ facility meant that everyone enjoyed their favourite tipple in their preferred quantities. A perfect meal in perfect surroundings. Next visit already at the planning stage.

Our first visit here after having it recommended. It certainly won't be our last....I was hoping it was going to be nice but I wasn't expected to be blown away 🤩 I had Chicken Dopiaza with Spinach, honestly it was the very best one I've had. Husband had Mixed Balti and again he said excellent 👏 Roti & Chapati's were lovely and soft, not thick and stodgy like some. I'm already looking forward to going again and taking the family. If you've not yet been you are definitely missing out here, so get your skates on. Lovely family run, they were attentive and friendly, also makes me want to return. Take your own alcohol too...bonus.... The restaurant was very clean which is one of the first things I look for. Thank you for an excellent visit 😍

Samosas were really small and tasted more like lamb than the chicken one's I ordered Not much meat in the curry considering it was expensive.

Whenever I've been a good lad and deserve a treat, I order myself a munch box. Its often a slog but I do manage to get through it! Everything in there is good and I've no idea how they get the doner meat like that but it's absolutely delicious. Well done lads 👏

Chicken tikka balti was the worst we’ve had in a long time, bland, watery and not good at all. Felt like it was rushed, not the normal quality we had before. Staters good tho

Exceptionally disappointing. Still not arrived and had a call from a driver who apparently no longer has the order - and the restaurant couldn’t confirm where it was. I except it will be flat cold when it arrives. Very disappointing and action required!!

Wow so again we went for my mum in laws 60th birthday there was 10 of us all together and the staff went above and beyond to get our orders and food out , the food again was absolutely delicious I had the prawn makhani and it was sooooo good . I've said it before and ill say it again the food is amazing the place is amazing and the staff are also too amazing thanks guys for an amazing experience ❤

Friendly staff, food has never been late.....and the food...I've had a lot of curries from different takeaways in the past and these are definitely the best I've found.

Absolutely horrendous! The manger was so rude we found a bone in the chicken and the family naan had a huge hole in it and it’s wasn’t even eatable it was like a crisp and the excuse they gave us is that”it’s too busy-to sort it out right now”we sent photos over to the manager and she sent us the wrong number she also ended the phone getting mad at us for telling her the food was wrong!! We eventually sent it to someone else who works there that tried helping but still no issue resolved I definitely do not recommend definitely if you don’t want to choke on a chicken bone and have no naan when you go to eat your curry! Words do not describe how bad the service was especially the manger who’s shouting at us when we were being completely fair and refused to help worst customer service ever wouldn’t even give it a 2 I will not be ordering again!!

I’ve said it once I’ve said it twice any many times more times! this by far is the best curry house in Huddersfield, food is outstanding, always arrives on time, really friendly staff won’t go anywhere else for our takeaways.

Really good service, staff is so nice and friendly, there is spectacular food I would recommend to try it out and definitely try their chicken nambali, it was so delicious it was my first time going there and was worth the try.

Being late was not an issue this was offset by the quality of the food **

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to eat the chicken tikka starter as it was undercooked and cold inside.

We went in for a 24th anniversary, having driven past and thought that we must try here and we weren’t disappointed it was wonderful, lovely service amazing food. Thank you
