Hi .. felt slightly dissapointed tbh food felt really rushed on our 6.30pm booking … ordered the tawa thing for 4 ppl .. it came as we were still eating poppadoms and pickle starters .. but it was lukewarm at best .. … food coming that quick should be sizzling hot … I really wanna try again to hope it was an ‘off night’ … feel let down .. and am really gutted to leave this review as was so looking forward to our first visit

Went yesterday 19/03 took family for the tawa they do but .. the currys were OK..the rest was disappointing the fish was under cooked so were te chicken wings which were pink inside.. It was ramadan and we was hungry So we ate as much as we could.. My daughter got home during the night woke up puking .. went to doctors and they said it was food poising.. It used to be so good we travelled 30 miles just to go to this place.. but I think its just going down.. No disrespect but prices go up with quality.. that wasn't quality..

Food was beyond expectations, full of taste and flavours. My chicken pathia was delicious, the naan bread was the lightest naan I've ever had. And the house sauce with the poppadoms pickle tray was amazing. If I didn't live 5 hours away I'd be here every week. Very good value too.

Dined in with family wait took but a long but understandable as it’s a Friday and they were busy despite the wait time food was served fresh and was perfect staff and the owner service was on top 👍🏻

Visited Saturday at 6pm with my wife. Food was beautiful and service was A+++. Mixed starter for 2 excellent. Garlic chilli chicken excellent. Chicken rogan josh excellent. Took 2 bags of onion bhajis back to the Flatt Top at Thornhill for our friends in the pub. and they loved them. Our second visit and won't be out last. Keep up the good work👍

The food was nice , came quickly but so did the waiter to take it away and we hadn’t even finished ! And drinks took forever to arrive . Plus every time we asked for something one waiter kept forgetting it all . We’d have to wait for someone else . Food is nice , just a Shame about the service!

I Ordered a Balti friday evening and when it came it was just oil and chills and about 6 pieces of chiken uneat able after the 1 and half waiting time no point on complaining but i won’t be back any more

I have just ordered our 2 usual curry meals without the starter as the prices have shot up , the chapattis are thick and can’t soak or pick anything up and there is no curry sauce it is just gee . Really disappointed as we have ordered from you since you opened

1st visit, really enjoyed this, food and service excellent! Lovely food, my congratulations to the Chef and the rest of the staff! We ordered Tawa for two but food was enough for three peoples. We will certainly be coming again and we will have no hesitation in recommending you to all our friends. Food was freshly made and very warm. Price is also quite reasonable.

Fantastic food . Nice clean restaurant ..Visited Monday evening, very quiet , which suited is perfectly . Staff very friendly ..Tandoori Mixed Grill , Wow , loads of food on a sizzling skillet , perfectly cooked , Bhuna , Tikka Massala , all said were fab ..Due to amount of food on the mixed grill a Doggy bag was required..Looking forward to that later ..Very trasonable prices too. . Deffo visit again when in Dewsbury ..

Some days it's omg beautiful food and then other days it's just standard.

Went down for my daughters birthday, disappointed with the waiters just staring at us making us feel very uncomfortable throughout as if we didnt belong there. The starters were avery disappointing no flavour or spice at all (maybe we are judging from Bradford's very high standards?) However the chicken masala was nice and the meat curry. Wont be coming back!

It was the first time that we came to dine in. We heard the food was good, so we went to see. Well we didn't expect it when the food was served. The food was okay, it's not wow, it is the same as home made food as we cooked at home. For the price, it's very small portions. My kids ordered the burgers. One bite, they left it, my kids never leave their food unless there is something wrong or dislike and they love burgers, but the R K G Restaurant burgers weren't what they expected, it wasn't made by the chef but it was a ready made from the shop. We weren't pleased about the food. The milkshake was more watery, and my kids didn't finish it. Overall we weren't satisfied with our meals.

We came for the first time on Friday night and wow the food was just smashing. Top notch service, tasty curries and my dad didn’t stop talking about it all weekend. We ordered a takeaway to see if there was any difference and tonight we received the same quality food. Very impressed we will be regulars now Frankie

Always enjoy the food at RKG. My husband likes his curries hot but when it came he was disappointed but as soon as he mentioned this to the owner he immediately went back to the kitchen and came back with another, hotter curry.

Hiyya just to let you guys know I’ve been ordering here since about 2 weeks ago and I’ve ordered a good couple of times. The food is absolutely beautiful and came warm. They always be on time if not earlier. The staff over phone and delivery driver are very kind and have nice manners. You should try this takeaway. Highly recommend ed.

The food was really good value for the money we paid, only been there twice I can only say on both visits I could not fault the food and service the waiter's are very friendly and can not do enough for you.

Came here with friends, a lovely place to dine if you enjoy Indian cuisine, good choice on the menu, no drinks licence so take your own, would highly recommend and will be coming here again.

Nice decor with kind staff however food is really not up to standard. The Donner we were told is fried and tastes quite poor. The lamb chops were rubbery with no taste. Even the meat salan was really bland. The chicken however was nice but the only thing we liked so we ate the chicken masala and left the rest. Really tried our best to eat it but not could. The popadoms were abit stale as well. The staff were extremely apologetic and were really nice about it when we informed them and advised that they had received similar complaints and are looking to improve their service.

Heard about this place on tick tock apparently amazing food by a few food GURUS. Can say very disappointed by the quality of the food especially the kebabs which had been fried and the tasteless chicken wings and also the fish what was totally tasteless. Avoid at all cost.

Very nice restaurant, lovely staffs, we’ve order royal king supreme and big size portions. Chicken burger cooked in perfection. Plus factor of the decoration. ❤️❤️❤️✅✅✅ Downside is cash payment only which not really suitable form of payment for this big north and southeastern restaurant. I highly recommend this place but make you bring cash ✌🏼

We ordered the early bird menu which came 13.95 for 2 extra poppadoms and a drinks, they were charging £31 then we mentioned they apologised and charged £27. So we paid £13 for 2 poppadoms and a sprite. Rip off

Ordered a tawa and some drinks. The curries were very nice and the kebabs were good too. The chicken wings and tikka were not fresh, and tasted old. Mentioned this to the staff but no action was taken. Pricey too but the place is clean at least. Wouldn't go again.

Nice food especially their donner meat. Fish was a bit salty other than that all good. Best to order for 1 extra person as portion sizes seemed less compared to normal tawas. So if theree 2 of you then best order for 3. Sweet lassi was spot on. Will visit again in the near future

Been many times had pretty much most things on the menu, a tawa is always a good option due to variety, or go with single items. The traditional curries are spot on, starters are fresh always, rice, naan and roti is soft. Service is excellent even when busy. No issue on food delivered either. Got the worng curry once in 15 plus orders they got me the right one in 20 mins and popped in a couple of extra chapattis, salad and sauces. Price is reasonable, they have an enclosed seating area for anyone who wants more privacy and they dont serve alcohol, customers can bring their own if they want to. Atmosphere is lovely and the decor is on point to. Easily the best restaurant in dewsbury, batley or Huddersfield and gives most bradford places a boot. Food quality 5 Service 5 Decor 5 Complaint handling 5 Honestly have to say these guys have always met expectations without acting up or making you feel your in the wrong for addressing something .

Really good Tawa selection - the food is exceptional and the service for a busy evening was really good. The only thing to note is it is only cash only. Will be a regular visit from us!

The Royal king restaurant is impeccable to be honest the food is outstanding. N its worth waiting for if you order

Poppadoms were over done and definitely not fresh, Meat Tikka was dryer than sand, was not impressed at all the chicken tikka masala looked the part but that's were it ended was a tasteless oily mess, even the chips were bland with a hint of what I can describe as dirty oil, garlic cheesy nan was like a frisbee, don't know how it's so highly rated, been to armaan, lala's and Ceylon dosa, all were superior, waiter were good lads.

Last min birthday meal for a friend, booked online no issues at all. Service was fantastic. Food was quick to arrive and was delicious. We shared a tawa for 4 people and got more than we could eat. Forgot it had no alcohol licence, not an issue for me but friend was disappointed no wine on menu and no nearby shop to purchase. Cash only, I won't be walking around Dewsbury at night to the cash machine or find an off licence 😬 They should have an ATM in the lobby. Overall very happy will return.

Nice restaurant, me and my family have been a couple of times but the owner and a few of his staff were rubbish because we had a 2 years old baby and she was crying and he came to us asking if she could be quiet. How are we suppose to control a 2 year old baby? The owner came with bad attitude and we felt like we were in prison, he made us feel embarrassed. If anyone decides to go here, I hope nobody tries it.

The food was lovely it arrived earlier than stated only one problem our chips were missing phoned up the staff were really helpful and delivered them within 10 minutes.

Upon arrival (as a large party) we were seen to promptly and shown to our allocated tables. We were offered table water and popadoms/pickle trays which was nice… Without being rushed by staff we had our order taken, my corner of the party ordered tawa plates. Absolutely divine. I went for the chicken and spinach balti, along with Fish Pakoras/Masala?, Chicken Tikka, Donner Meat and chips - I ordered rice separate as it doesn’t come included. Absolute bargain, my partner and I shared a plate and still had a doggy bag! Brilliant value. Akeel & Staff, don’t change a thing! 👌
