My partner and I dined at Armaan for the first time last week following regularly reading great reviews on local Facebook pages. The reviews were very accurate indeed! We arrived around 6.30pm and the restaurant was very quiet - I expect it gets busier as the evening goes on. The waiter was very friendly and courteous and the restaurant had a very comfortable and spacious feel to it. To start, we ordered paneer pakora to share which was very generous and oozing with flavour. For the main, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was pleased to find that it could be customised to my taste - mild to moderate. My partner ordered the Karahi fish and also praised the infusion of spices. The main meals came with a sundry side and between us we opted for the pilau rice and naan - both great portion sizes for sharing. All the food was freshly cooked, not greasy and great value for money. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and independent restaurant experience with great prices.

Food has always been top notch. The chefs are always happy to accommodate any variations to their menu to suit. The recent restaurant refit makes this a great place to enjoy a meal out. My new favourite is the tawa’s

Drove all the way from Leeds to try this place, it was a busy Sunday evening think it’s because of bank holiday. I had the tawa for 2 for me and my partner and we had enjoyed every bit of it. The flavour and the effort they had put in this I would give this a 10/10. The restaurant ambience and decor was really nice and atmospheric and there is a big car park that can accommodate up to 30 cars. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you for making our day memorable. ❤️

I got a desi stir fry from these guys and hands down they are the best in dewsbury with there quality and service, from the staff to the chef, all are very friendly and a great atmosphere all round.

Absolutely fab and fantastic , these guys are honestly the best in dewsbury This place is a hidden gem tucked away just of bradford road . I have been eating here for a decade now in small and large groups inc party’s. The boys are very hospitable and will go out of their way to assist you. The food is always 10/10 . Pure authentic taste and very generous portions. The price is very fair and well worth what you get. I always go for the “TAVA” as its got all the good stuff , this is a large hot stove Dish that has everything on it and maintains a good temperature throughout the meal. Parking is not a issue as they have a large dedicated car park that facilitates sufficiently onsite. Well done Waz , Saj and the staff, keep up the good work and God bless you🤲

Today 31 December we eat our last diner of 2023 at Armaan restaurant Dewsbury. It was fantastic experience to have last diner at amazing place.

First experience at Armaan. Absolutely brilliant service, food and atmosphere as you can see from the pictures. We had tava for 2 which had tikka chicken pieces, lamb chops, fish pieces (all cooked perfectly), donner and much more. We also had the lasagne which was totally different to your usual places with its unique taste and perfectly cooked meat and pasta combination. The service was A+ from brother Waseem and others. Give Armaans a try!

I went in today with my family. Delicious 😋 food huge portions but worth every penny I had the lagsne so creamy have to say its the best 👌 my family orderd the tawa tasty curry cooked perfectly 🥰 Both managers so friendly made us feel so welcome thankyou We deffo come bk again

I felt kinda sad for this place, the decor and service were amazing, really beautiful decor for a Indian restaurant. The food was mediocre, but drinks were delicious. I went couple weeks ago on a weekend and it was dead, no other people except us, which was so strange, might have been pot luck as the place wasn't actually that bad. Even has parking. Starters were nice, except lamb chops, and mains the curry was nice but don't recommend biriyani.

Been a lot of times and keep going back, the food is delicious the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, it's clean and tidy a real hidden gem if you are looking for a good Indian

I and my consultant Dr friend who I wanted to come here based on the last 2-weeks reviews that were outstanding and it made it look like a wonderful impeccable place to dine. Now I don't know if it's because we're not locals and it's ethnic minority that the year of the people who came to dine this Friday here but was a clear difference in what i read below for last 2 week s all 5* review to our both actual objective first hand experience. Car park.. Free and 2 Dozen+ cars can park with no problems. Fantastic Toilets..omg. the waiter was not very helpful which I'll explain more below in regards to where the toilets were which we were upstairs but I couldn't see any stairs and he wasn't very clear until a few times to ask where the stairs well which were behind the see wall hidden conspicuously. Up stairs not clear to see what's the toilets were. One door has a male symbol. Another has no symbol. In both the toilets the hand drying machine was not working at all. In the men labels toilet the singular tap was not working! No paper to dry hands! Dining area. Very very nice. Best ambient. Music was but to loud.i got sore throat as i has to talk loud for my companion to hear me. Service. Omg. Terrible. Not rude but not professional and precise and accurate. Very street wise. Lacking basic admitting to the array of errors and mistakes. It like in some Carry on movie or in Fawlty towers with 2 manuel serving me..i kid you not. Well I'm told you already about very poor explanation of where the toilet is by the waiter. Where are the first person was that he couldn't really read properly and what number so I couldn't hear what you are saying but I greeted him as a gentleman and was in jolly mood with my best good friend. His lack of comprehension and speaking was quite poor very low volume and low tone and his comprehension of the order was very poor. We ordered a 2 chips with cheese with only served one. When does was explained to bring another chips with the main.. It was without cheese! It took ages for it come after mains were served. Then when asked for salt and pepper only salt was brought and placed upside down with no top so the dirty table was in contact with the orifice if the salt! We both ordered 2 roti with main dish but placed not Infront of us to in the middle to my left side. Only 1 roti to myself to get the 2nd roti was ages The plates were banged into the table ( we were the first to dine this evening so no need to rush). At the end of the meal i was about to fill my my glass with water but the jug for no reason was abruptly taken away and several minutes later had to ask for water! Crazy. No apology at any time from the 2 manuaels. Food. The mix platter came in on trolley with that lovely sizzling sounds. The chicken wings and lamb chops were black charades at places. Lamb chops were not tender but hard as was the peripheral of the wings. The fish was very nice as was the sheesh kebab.. No oily but juicy. Onions were plenty but either to burnt or needed tad more fry to be more softer The sauce was lovely. Perfect. Chips with cheese was very very good size portion for the price with cheese. Yummy. The lamb tikka my friend had he ate only half.. That speak for itself. My chicken tikkka was very nice. Nice flabourr. Not oily. Tad small portion compared to other restaurants locally though. Also last 2 chicken pieces not tender but hard! Roti mine was very nice. My friend first roti was nice. Second cane late and he lost appetite. Chips second portion came late and had to take minutes for them to add the cheese that was missing! 😱 Had to ask for customary dip with main dish and fire salt and pepper! Nuts! That still forgot to bring the pepper! 4 hand lemon flavor wipes were given. Bill came to £46 and some pennies. Had to go to bar to pay. I don't think for such a price with very very poor service, messed up order and poor WC facilities I'll want to come here again I'm sorry to say.i didn't even say or mention the hard lamb chops and hard chicken wings. Both charred severely on certain places.

What an absolutely amazing restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the friendliness of the staff was fantastic. The aroma of the food was incredible. The meal myself and my sister had was outstanding. Wish I had a couple more stomachs as I didn't want the meal to end. Faultless 😁

We’ve just visited this restaurant and dined in. The service was fabulous, both the staff gave us brilliant service, wonderful and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the Tawa, biryani and nuggets, and everything was tasty and mouth watering. We’ve visited a few times and we’ve always had great service. If I could give more stars, I would. Thankyou so much.

Had a birthday party here for my Niece, there was around 60 Guests, Arbaz and Saj made sure the food was warm, guests had everything they needed and attended to everyones needs. Amazing service from the lads would 100% recommended.

Armaan restaurant is a nice place to hold an event i did my wedding here we had 135 guests who enjoyed the food each person said the food was 10/10 i do recommend this place for anyone who wants to have their partys nikkahs weddings Saj n was and there lovely father did more than they could so helpfull all i can say It was a good Event and the food wowww

Hosted a 5th year birthday party here for 50 people in their private function room. The guys were inredibly welcoming, friendly and the food was fantastic. Everyone loved the food and I personally can recommend it wholeheartedly. This is coming from someone who knows about food having worked in the industry myself. I don't usually follow google reviews because the standard for them is so low but on this occasion I would definitely follow this one. If you haven't already, then try their lamb on the bone. It's incredible!

Food is reasonably priced and taste good. The service was spot on really friendly and polite. People need to visit this place better than most places in Bradford.

I'll tell you what guys this absolute hidden gem is is amazing. We usually go bradford to eat out but today I wanted to try this out and it definitely wasn't a mistake. The food was amazing the atmosphere was brilliant and the most important one the service was astonishing. LOVED IT. definitely get your self down here guys you won't regret it.

we were going to go somewhere else for a meal but it was booked for a private party but the staff recommended this place, so we thought we would give it a try, and we are so glad we did. they had only just opened so we were the first ones in there. but that didn't stop the staff being so friendly and helpful, they were great throughout our whole visit. the food was top notch and so flavorful and decent sized portions too so much so we even brough some back home with us as we couldn't finish it all.

Went here early after work with work friends first in after opening really nice decor food was OK but have had nicer but was close to where I work DDH the waiter was very friendly lovely guy maybe we went a little too early would give it another go

We are now regular customers at Armaans, because this family run business has everything I need from a restaurant and I'm pretty picky... Attentive friendly staff. Great menu choices. Modern decor with cosy booths for a slightly more intimate meal. Plus lots of other seating including an upstairs room for larger parties. Gluten free options as i'm Coeliac. The staff know what gluten is and can adapt the meal accordingly, so I have as much choice as my companions. Everything is lovely. Our starters tonight were Paneer tikka( ask for it on a sizzler with onions, best paneer I've had, some are dry, some soggy,not these, just right texture) Paneer Pakora, Mixed Starter & Seekh sizzler kebab. ( by far best seekh kebab I've had) . Mains were, Lamb Bhuna, Bhindi +Tomato side dish,Chicken + Spinach Balti, Mixed Vegetables side dish, Pilau rice, Steamed rice and chappatis. Everything was spot on. I've been going for a curry every Sunday night for 8 years, sometimes just me + my significant other, sometimes with family or friends. I have a list of all the curry houses we've visited, there's 67 that we can remember, about 5 of those restaurants we visit now and again, with Armaans being my favourite. It's tucked back from the main road, so we drove by for years not realising what a gem we had missed out on. Lucky for us it's not too far away. Always welcomed with a friendly face, food fabulous, good prices. Has it's own car park. If you fancy a change, you should definitely try Armaans. You'll be glad you did! ☺

I haven't been here for around 4yrs, for a time I understand it was closed. The decor has been completely renovated with a very inviting atmospheric graphic design. Now for the important bit - the food... Firstly the mixed starter for two, well cooked and presented with great flavour served hot. The chicken madras and chicken karai both had great flavours with the madras hot, just about right for my palette. Fresh salad. The slight disappointment was the pilau rice lacking in flavour and freshness. Oh a little something to begin with, papadom and pickle tray, fresh and crispy with the usual four dips delighting the palette and to finish off the evening with ice cream. Overall a good dining experience.

Food was outstanding, came with a family of 6 at the restaurant ,ordered a tawa for 6 and 6 mocktails the drinks were tasty and well decorated, tawa was amazing as we choose chicken tikka masala and lamb karahi, did it go well ? Or yes it did and the best part was the smoke efffect they do was outstanding ,my kids loved it as I did good concept we will definitely return thanks to the waiter (didn't ask his name) good service , reasonably priced as every one around batley charge the same see you again .

I visited the restaurant first time last night with my daughter and some friends. We were pleased to notice how modern the decor was. We was celebrating a birthday and the staff added balloons to the table as well as presenting a cake with lightening sparkle on top which was very generous and a lovely personal touch. It was peak time and the restaurant was extremely busy, the atmosphere was brilliant and the waiter we had was so attentive and accommodating. Most amazing Indian food i’ve ever had. Nothing beats it seriously. To start with we had the shared Armaan mix sizzler with fresh fried onions on top which was very flavourful and very delicious. My friends had the Tawa for 2 which I must say looked fantastic full of flavour and aroma. I myself ordered for mains a Chicken tikka garlic balti with a keema nan bread, it was the best curry I have had in ages and I would personally like to thank the chef for making a very brilliant curry that allowed us to enjoy our night even more. The manager allowed us to bring our own alcohol as the restaurant does not sell alcohol. The prices were reasonable. The decor is fantastic and the service was top notch. Thank you so much to you all for a wonderful meal and lovely evening, we'll look forward to returning!

Great Asian food. Edit This was prior to covid, my review now changes to the food is okay it used to be great, but way overpriced, i onve ordered a collection for about 11quid on a curry and some bits, on arrival a 30minute wait to say the re were 5ppl in the restraunt, then when paying there card machine wouldn't work, I was sent to a cash machine on foot late on an evening in a rough area to get the 11quid,i actually had a 10er but was told this wasn't enough and to go get the rest, anywhere else would of let me pay next time, let me drop it in at an agreed time or just waive the £2 difference as it was there machine that was the issue not my card. Let's say its gone down hill, it used to be the best curries around an now the foods still ok but it's way too expensive and the food I'd bought was heading for the microwave as by the time I'd collected it and got home it was stone cold.

Got a take away from here for the first time. Curries amazing….butter chicken and lamb desi gosht both really good. Garlic king prawns starter was epic. Great family garlic naan. Keema rice was lush…Avoid onion bhaji… not the best but everything else was a hit. Thanks and will be ordering again

Ordered tava for 2 came after 1hour i received 1 rice 1 can of coke paid 45 pounds when I rang restaurant up manger was stuck up blaming his driver and refused refund never will be ordering food from here again. Scam really upset

We visited this evening after seeing a few recent reviews about this place. We usually go to Bradford for a curry as we never usually find old school authentic curries in the Dewsbury/Batley area but after seeing a few positive reviews we decided to give it a go. The starters were OK - 7/10, the onion bhajis were a waste of money in all honesty as they seemed as though they were leftover bits from the fryer. The owner called them "onion fritters", no idea what he was referring to as they weren't fritters and it stated they were onion bhajis on the menu. However, the chicken tikka and seekh kebabs were nice, we enjoyed them. For our main we ordered an Asian style chicken karahi, it came and it was very overpowering and spices were undercooked and raw, it wasn't at all authentic desi style. The oil wasn't even separated from the curry which makes me believe that they had used a 'base curry' that they'd made up earlier in the day and sprinkled in the raw spices after. It wasn't how a karahi was supposed to/usually looks either. We were very disappointed. We decided to tell the waitress (they were friendly and came across as polite at all times which was nice.) She took it back to the kitchen and they added cream to the curry which made it even worse as we didn't ask for a overpowering curry to begin with but then to add cream to it, it was then a sweet overpowering curry. We told the waitress again who took it away and said they'll sort it out and 5 minutes passed we didn't know what was going on. So at this point we decided against resolving the issue with the curry, so we told the owner we'd pay for the starters but not the curry as we didn't eat it, we literally had a tablespoon. Also I must add, the chapatis were crispy and not at all fluffy and soft, they were rock hard, I've never seen chapatis like that. The owner charged us for poppadoms and pickle tray which we didn't even order and he knew as he took our order and he insisted we have to pay for the curry even though we didn't eat it as we were unhappy so we refused. He then became very rude and aggressive baring in mind he was fine up until this. He kept saying see you later very rudily and charged us whatever he wanted to and after we questioned this he REFUSED to give us a receipt. So not only  was trying to charge us for things we didn't even buy, he came across as very intimidating and rude for no apparent reason. He said we were been "awkward" but we didn't say or do anything out of line except tell the staff we didn't like the curry and it wasn't to our expectations which is why we chose not to eat it therefore we didn't think we should have paid for it. Constructive criticism isn't a negative for a business usually as it helps them learn from their mistakes. Not in this case, he was really offended and had the worst attitude possible for the owner of a restaurant. Overall, we were disappointed. The owner cannot take criticism of any kind even when it isn't meant to upset him in anyway. It wasn't at all personal to him. He's rude and aggressive for no apparent reason to customers. Will not return and would like to inform others of our experience. Also noticed a few other reviews saying the curry was overspiced so it wasn't an isolated incident.

Rather disappointed after reading other reviews. Service was great, but food average at best. Onion bhaji was soft and doughy. Lamb chops fine. King prawn special was too tomatoey for my taste. Nothing was bad, bu nothing was great. Ah well, the search goes on!

Well what a hidden gem this place is. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The owner is fabulous he loves to entertain nothing is too much. Car parking is free however its a bit of a squeeze other than that every is good.

Visited tonight and safe to say never again. Where should I start , the table was dirty and so was the cutely. The portions were tiny we went home hungry, the staff could have told us whilst we were ordering we would need extra etc . I had to beg for coke as they kept on forgetting. Service was really slow , there was more plates , spoons glasses on the table rather than food . communication between staff was bad, poor management. I wouldn’t ever visit this place again and definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone either . Shame as I travelled to come here after seeing this on social media . I will also be posting on social media to warn others to stay away .

Lovley atmosphere! Amazing food, fast service! extremely instagramable decor, what more could you ask for. Authentic indian/pakistani food. I particularly loved the succulent lamb kharai.

Went with friends for a meal out but didn't even get to the food. The ambiance in the restaurant was terrible. Prices for the food were extortionate for the area. In the end walked out and went to Tawa House. Much better experience.

Perfect place, especially if you want to try something other than the usual Oasis/Tawa House etc. Kids and even adults will love the cool ice vase Food is Great - (lamb masala amazing) Saj is very helpful even though he is super busy. Plenty of parking unlike some others nearby.
