Bengal Aroma in Kirklees

We visited Bengal Aroma last Saturday for my partners birthday along with his daughter. We have been before but not for some time. They did not disappoint. The service and food was excellent. His daughter was a little dubious about going but really enjoyed it. As it was a birthday celebration, the staff came out with a cake with a sparkly candle and we all sang to him which he truly enjoyed. We live locally so it was nice to have an enjoyable evening not too far from home. Thank you team

A lovely place in the middle of almondbury. We went for our anniversary celebration. Staff welcoming and friendly. We'll decorated but low beams, as it is like a barn conversion.

Visited Bengal Aroma with my son who was visiting me from Scotland. From setting foot on the restaurant until we left we had a terrific experience. The food was exceptional and the service was as good as you could get anywhere. Akmal was knowledgeable about the dishes that were on offer,and friendly and polite. Certainly be visiting again

As a big Indian food lover, I don't agree with the high rating. Portions are very small, prices are high and this place is cold when it's cold. The food is good, but not brilliant. Strange layout as well and no sense of privacy. The waiter's are polite, but it seems a bit phony to sit with the high costs. Even as a byo it's still more expensive than most.

Food was exceptional once again thanks we had a table of 5 ....3 adults 2 children food came fast and piping hot 🔥 .. also take you OWN ALCOHOL... whitch helps just no soft drinks as they provide them ... thanks

Came recommended with some good on line reviews. They catered for a group of 17...we had a beautiful evening, menu was varied and interesting, food arrived at the same time and was delicious, lovely calm and friendly atmosphere, certainly would go again.

Good extensive menu and some unusual choices (the chicken liver is amazing). Food a little more expensive than average but it's a bring your own so you save on alcohol prices. Food portions are large, and quality very good indeed. Food seems slightly on the mild side - ask for it spicy or choose a hot dish, and a good choice for parties where some folk are curry novices. Very good veggie choice and some fish choices too. Venue is an old barn so a good amount of flash appeal.... Nice looking place. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Very nice folk.

Always a fabulous meal here, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is lovely & every member of staff we met were helpful and friendly. There had been a slight mix up with our booking but we were accommodated and problem resolved. Also many thanks for the gesture of a cake for my mother, it made her day that everyone sang to her.

My family and I go regularly because it's so good, but the Xmas lunch was on another level brilliant, always a pleasure to go and always a warm welcome from the minute you walk in, all the staff are amazing and can't do enough to make it a great visit, will be back soon...

After trying a few options in the local area Bengal Aroma has become our go-to takeaway. Onion Bahjis are absolutely banging and we love the Chicken Adoroki too. Always ready right on time and friendly service.

The first time here has been recommended. So we gave it a go. Looked at the place before setting off as it would be dark before we arrived. I'm glad we did as the rear parking can be easily missed. The restaurant layout was great. We loved the decoration and seating. We ordered two starters and two mains, plus rice, chips, and a garlic nan.

Excellent as usual, staff always very attentive and food second to none. Our favourite "go to" restaurant. Can't wait to spend our Christmas day lunch with you.

Absolutely superb,food,staff and pricing. Although we had to take our own alcohol it was brilliant. We were short our table by staff who were very attentive all night. All necessary sized glasses were available on a separate table. Fabulous menu. I had a sizzler starter and then a chicken jalfrezi.. Our party of 12 all had something different.. Everyone commented how good the food and service was. All in all a fantastic night and will be returning

Great restaurant and takeaway, a real favorite for our family and the only Indian restaurant in the area we would visit. The food is amazing and the staff are great too. The restaurant is in a lovely old building where we love to take guests when we have visitors; indeed some of them insist on eating there whenever they visit us! There is a discount for collection so living locally if we don't have guests we normally collect a takeaway which is always ready at the time agreed.

22 of my family and friends went to Bengal Aroma last night to celebrate my birthday. The whole evening was just fantastic. The food and service was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble. They looked after us for the entire evening with a full restaurant upstairs. It was great having the room downstairs to ourselves, particularly with young children in our party. Thank you to everyone at Bengal Aroma. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant - just outstanding

This was our first visit to Bengal Aroma in Almondbury and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was fairly quiet as you would expect on a Monday evening but from the moment we entered the premises we were made to feel very welcome and treat as valued customers. This is a family run business and our waiter Achmal was superb and very personable. He took a genuine interest in what we thought of our meal and was genuinely interested in our comments. The food was of the highest quality, hot and very well presented. Service of such high quality is sadly lacking these days in many areas of hospitality and many other establishments would do well to emulate the high standards which were displayed during our visit. Well known curry restaurant, but our first visit. lived up to expectations, excellent curry chosen from their extensive menu, some might say too extensive! Not licenced, but you can take your own booze. good service and pleasant setting. watch out for the low beams if you are tall.

I cannot fault this place! Its stunning, classy, comfortable and the food and management are exceptional. I planned a surprise 50th meal for one of my best friends & her Son & Daughter and the manager/assistant manager were absolutely brilliant. They were so welcoming, friendly, really pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. They even brought out a cake for her and sang happy birthday. They went over & above & she had a really special evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody as it is a proper hidden gem in Almondbury. After a long awaited meal out, we went to Bengal Aroma in Almondbury for the first time last night.What a fabulous evening, the food was gorgeous. We started with the usual pickle tray And poppadoms...then starters of sizzle mix and pakora chicken, mains consisted of Balti and Mon Khus.The food was cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and succulent, and the flavour Devine.The service was perfect, we were not rushed, and politely asked if we were ready for the next course.The waiter and staff were all welcoming, and took time to have a quick chat with us. All staff were wearing face coverings which looked very smart. There was sanitizer at the entrance which we were asked to use upon entry to the restaurant, and the usual floor markings all helped us feel safe, but not too clinical.The restaurant itself is just charming, and even though it wasn’t full, the atmosphere was relaxed, and vibrant, which made us feel relaxed and at ease.Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant, we will certainly be back.Thanks for a lovely evening.

We've eaten here about half a dozen times and never been disappointed. The menu is a little different from your run of the mill curry house. The dishes are all beautifully prepared. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly, without being obtrusive.Definitely the place to go if you want to be certain of a decent curry.

The waiters at the restaurant are a massive credit to the owners! Coupled with delicious food definitely makes it a restaurant we shall return to!

I went on Valentine's with my wife and we have eaten here many times here before and would highly recommend paying a visit.on arrival as always the staff were so polite and took us to our table which was set with red rose petals which was so nice.we had the pickle tray and poppadom's followed by the mixed sizzling platter for two which was really good,then i had the duck roshini with vegatable rice and the wife had chicken saag which both were excellent and well presented,the food and the surroundings and the very helpfull staff makes this resteraunt so good.you take your own alcohol with you and the staff will chill it for you,if you want soft drinks you can purchase them on the premises,we took our own drinks and the whole meal cost less than £50 which i would pay any day of the week for the quality of food provided.this restaurant is a gem and would recommend to anyone who loves a good indian meal.

As a party of 7 and a very late booking.I must say what an enjoyable evening we all had.Non of us had been here before, so went with an open mind.Why have we not been here before!!!!??? Excellent food, brilliant staff, and quite a lot of variety on their menu. Bring your own beer. I have been here many times for family occassions as well as catching up with old friends. It is formal enough to feel special, yet relaxed enough to pop along to casually on a Friday night. It's always got people in, so I would recommend booking ahead if you are a group. The restaurant is an old building in the village with plenty of character and this makes it feel much more special and cosy. It is close to some other pubs if you fancy a tipple afterwards head up past the church on Westgate. My only point for improvement would be their desserts (as a sweeth tooth) as it woud be nice to have some Indian sweets or some simple Yorkshire ice cream for example. It is the sort of place I would actually go for a starter, you really are spoiled for choice!

Myself, wife, family and friends were saddened to lose Nosh/Franco’s from Almondbury but we have been completely won over by Bengal Aroma. Exceptional trad’ Asian food with some unique twists ..and wonderful, friendly service without the unwelcome over- charge for alcohol. Long may this continue, (0h and Ben Franco is making merry round the corner at the Barn so it’s good news all round)

We are almost regular customers of this excellent restaurant. The welcome is always friendly, the atmosphere matches the welcome and the food is first class. To say this is the standard by which all others should be judged is no overstatement. Heartily recommended.

I called in before booking as one of the party would not be able to climb the stairs to the main restaurant. I was given two downstairs options. The staff couldn’t be more helpful.

we decided to try this restaurant for an evening out, turned out to be little gem! Small place but bright and clean ambiance and delightfully decorated. The dishes we ordered were quite spicy but the staff couldn't apologise enough- they even offered remake them. The food was fresh and very tasty. We will certainly go there again
