Late lunch. Both had the quiche which came with a green salad. Exceedingly tasty and delightful. Lovely ladies looking after you. Tables downstairs a little heavy and wobbly but hey you go for the food.

Love this little coffee spot- the food is always delicious and varied. The soup was so yummy with Rogers bread. Cakes are devine too, all homemade!

Miriam's is such a find! Great coffee, amazing brunch, delicious soups and salads, amazing cakes... I recommend the green goddess salad, the quiche is always gorgeous, the cakes so yummy! Miriam and her team have created something really special here - a welcoming, warm, friendly atmosphere which is a real hub for the community. Look out for special events too. Highly recommended.

Popped over today for lunch with my family who are regulars. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and it quite simply was the best ive ever had. Will be going more often. the staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

I bumped into my Auntie in Kirkburton and asked what her plans were for lunch, she had none so we thought we’d try Miriam’s Kitchen table. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing and a very reasonable price. I never even realised it was there but will be recommending it to other people and will definitely be back!! A hidden gem.

We came here for breakfast. It was mid week so pretty quiet. The coffee was good. The bread was really tasty. I had the smashed avocado and poached eggs which were lovely and runny. By partner had mushrooms on toast which were really tasty. The only criticism would be to maybe have things like bacon sandwich listed on the menu as my partner is more a full English kind of guy and struggled a bit with the limited choice (even though I told him he could ask for a bacon butty!!!).

What a find. You must try this place. It doesn't look much from the he outside but the food is amazing!!!

Liked the set up and cake and tea is the best part of the menu. Soup tastless and I enjoyed the bread more than the soup. Now be clear that's my taste buds not the delivery. Staff friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable

Went for a late breakfast after walking the dog in the wooded areas around Kirkburton. Very pleasantly surprised by the modern looking menu - we can verify that the avocados and eggs on toast, mushrooms on toast were brilliant . A nice varied offering of drinks completed the menu. We really didn‘t have enough room for cake but we did bring cakes home, even a piece of the French apple tart which was steaming -fresh out of the oven. All the food we had, and all the food we saw looked amazing, so tempting and absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back!

Miriam’s is amazing. So beautifully done, very relaxing and calming atmosphere. The food is out of this world. Always something a little different on the special board, with the good old favourites on the menu. The dessert choice is different every time I go, always amazing and yummy. Staff are lovely and friendly and always happy to help.

We are not from the area but were looking for somewhere mid way between our house and a friends that we could meet for brunch. Based on TA reviews I decided on here. What a great decision. The menu is original and interesting and everything from the hot food to the cakes is made on site. I had the Mexican avocado which I can say is the best version of avocado and toast based meal I've ever had. The place is only small but does have upstairs seating which is bright and airy. If it was closer to home I'd never be away.

We were visiting family in Kirkburton and called in here for a late-ish lunch, about 2:15. The place was buzzy with locals popping in, cheerful chatter and catch ups, we loved it. The food was fantastic, I went for an an avocado special with feta & green tabasco sauce, delicious, my wife went for the avocado & poached egg, some had bacon sandwiches and the grown up baked beans too; we were all very happy with everything. On a final note we took some cake home for tea.... oh my word. If they have it you MUST try the pistachio & lemon cake, trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Popped in for the first time for lunch today. I had a toasted cheese sandwich- it was probably the nicest cheese toast I’ve I have ever had ( and I’ve had a few in my time). My other half had a lovely chunky beef soup. Home made bread was excellent. We then shared a lemon and pistachio cake which was..... you guessed it, absolutely gorgeous.

We are starting to grow very fond of Miriam's Kitchen Table after only our second visit.

Absolutely love this little lunch spot. Sells delicious cake, coffee and 'brunch' meals, the beans on toast (a healthy posh version, not a tin of Heinz!) was to die for. It's all served in a fresh, laid back atmosphere and there's even a few nice little books and toys to keep younger ones entertained upstairs.

The cakes are amazing and the food is delicious. It is a great place to go with friends and relax. When you walk in there is an immediate feeling of warmth that is incredibly welcoming and that, coupled with the friendly staff, creates an amazing atmosphere that helps you relax and have an incredible meal. I'm a vegetarian and find that when I go there is a great selection of food available that I can eat, or it is brilliant just to go and have a cake and a hot drink.

Best and most stylish little cafe in Huddersfield! Expertly chosen menu. Serves brunch type meals all day - a huge bonus for someone like me who doesn’t want cake every time I stop for a coffee. That said, Miriam bakes excellent cakes and doesn’t disappoint on lunch’s of fabulous soups, sandwiches and salads. Back on the subject of coffee, Miriam is very particular about what she serves and only the best ( Dark Woods - good taste award winners) will do! Also serves excellent teas and her soft drinks not full of junk so my kids feel they’ve had a treat! On top of all that, the place really is rather stylish, Miriam has painted much of the art on the walls herself and has a great sense of style. A fab and friendly place to hang out. Very highly recommended.

Such beautiful food! Definitely recommend this lovely place. Decor is great and very cosy vibe. The food is amazing, everything is cooked and prepared to perfection. Bread is delicious too and the cake section is great.

What a wonderful cafe/coffee shop full of amazing food and top notch coffee. Would definitely recommend a visit if your nearby...well even if your not!!

This is a superb little cafe/coffee shop in the centre of Kirkburton, and has not been opened very long. I really hope that it succeeds as it is excellent. The coffee was just right - well made & tasty. The range of cakes is limited, but all looked great and Im sure you will not be disappointed.

A new and very welcome addition to the village. Food is amazing and healthy. Staff are professional and friendly staff and always a warm welcome.

Kirkburton was missing a great cafe and the recently opened Miriam’s has not only filled the breach but is quickly becoming a destination cafe. Miriam already had a reputation locally as a great cook and the simple but interesting menu is beautifully cooked with a very warm welcome thrown in. I have eaten here twice and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked and mushrooms with thyme absolutely delicious, all served on artisan bread. And the coffee has to be one of the best cups of coffee I have found in Huddersfield. They do take-out coffees too if you’re on the run as I often am. Brilliant place, highly recommended.

I've been a few times now and love it. The food takes something that is simple and somehow makes it special and so much better than I could make at home. Lovely cakes as well and an excellent selection of hot drinks. I went with a baby and an energetic two year old and the staff were so helpful and the toddler loved exploring the small selection of toys and books. A real gem. Can't wait to try everything on the menu.

As I live and work in the village it's great to have another place to enjoy breakfast or lunch and a break from the office. But this isn't any ordinary eatery - Miriam has raised the bar with great food and drinks in a very cool and stylish setting. Highly recommended!

Wanted to go and support Miriam... I did a baking course with her a few years ago so knew it would be good.
