Excellent real ales and atmosphere. 3 linfit ales, special, gold medal and old eli with 2 others. Music on Sunday afternoons, and tasty home made pizzas.

Great genuine pub in the Colne Valley outside Huddersfield, one of the original brew pubs created by the late Ron Crabtree, unfortunately no longer brewing onsite. The pub a great clean up / refurb a few yrs back and still has a load of old weaving bits and pieces on display and real fireplaces. If you like music the Juke box is old with some excellent classic tracks. One of the best pubs around.

Legendary watering hole with a new lease of life. It's all about the ale really and a better pint is difficult to come by which is saying something in this part of the world.

Look, this is really simple. This place is as good as it gets, the original local real ale house with 300 years of history, worth travelling for (I'm fortunate, I live nearby). Owned by the same family for around 40 years, they are superb as are ALL the staff. Frequented by real characters (the canines, the people are ok too). If you don't like this place you need counselling!

Didn't eat but will be doing. Worth the trouble to travel to. Excellent beverage of course! Open Mic night look good too!

First visit for a few years. Used to be my local. This is still one of the best pubs in Yorkshire, not just Huddersfield. Always a great atmosphere and the prices are fantastic.

Needs bringing into the 21st century now that there no longer brewing there . It's more of a lager pub real ale at the moment.

Great to be back after many years to find it had barely changed! Still the same great Linfit beers (and others) and pickled eggs!!

Called in with a walking group based at the Dusty Miller, for a pint or more. Plenty of hand pulled ales to choose from plus largers and ciders. We were treated to pizzas cut into shareable bite sized pieces. Dog friendly and friendly atmosphere.

What a pub first time I've been there I will definitely be going back there the landlord is really nice and friendly and the real ale is really nice and kept very well and it was a really good Atmosphere if you have never been I would very much recommend it you will not be disappointed

Well kept real ales, a friendly welcome, lots of cozy areas to sit, lovely, living fires and an excellent juke box. Enough said - highly recommended.

We went to the Sair with our daughter and son in law last Sunday to see a guitarist. He was absolutely brilliant and my husband and son in law enjoyed the beer!

Great local pub in the great british tradition, recommended to tourists or local alike. Use it or lose it is my comment, and this certainly doesn't want to be lost.

What a fantastic pub. It's a real hidden gem. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was great. Live music, busy and full of friendly folk. Everything you need.

Amazing local pub steeped in history. Friendly staff. Great beer and wine. Very cosy in winter when fires lit and amazing views with outside seating in summer! Well recommended! Dogs and walkers welcome. Live music and juke box here too.

Excellent range of good beers including brewed onsite. Historic inn with most internal features intact. Great atmosphere and not to be missed. Since writing the above they have stopped brewing their own beer instead they buy it in from a local brewer. Not tried it yet

As good as it gets. If you want a traditional pub with no frills or nonsense, this is the one for you.

A wonderful local pub, with open fires & an array of antiques & olden day knick knacks placed around, generally the back room. They have a great selection of local as well as craft beers and some greag crisps to choose from & a selection of wines and spirits, all in all a great little spot to visit.

Friendly real ale pub which is very cosy and people come from many miles to experience the diverse atmosphere ,locals welcome visitors ,walkers and real ale enthusiasts and its very dog friendly.

Love The Sair!! Have known it for years since the mid 90s. I've been back intermittently since then but I've always had a wonderful evening. Fantastic atmosphere and a superb selection of local ales. Go and visit soon as I fear this pub may not be around for too much longer.

Such a great place!! Welcoming, relaxed and friendly pub. Great ales, lagers and ciders and spirits too. What more could you want! Forgot to mention fab jukebox and pizzas too. Try it out!!

Really nice pub....much improved ( according to the locals). Great few hours on a Saturday afternoon/early evening a couple of weekends ago. Very friendly, though didn't like the really strong ale they let me sample !! Other ales excellent.

Former CAMRA Pub of the Year. Even on a quiet Monday at 4pm opening the quality of the place is immediate. 10+ cask lines, small, cosy siderooms, flagstone floor, fireplace, communal bench seating. The most pleasing throwback possible. One of the best pubs I've visited in the UK.

Always a great welcome. Beers are great too. Look for Jo's pizzas at end of week too. 👍👍

Really, I shouldn't say how great this place is because if people knew about it, it would become too crowded and too noisy. There's nothing like a crackling fire to warm the bones on a chilly weekend. Superb.

Traditional community pub with great beer.

We called in today on our way back home for a quick drink and were amazed at the choice of beer available here. It’s certainly in the diary to come here again and soon so that more time can be spent here sampling the fare on offer. Really nice beer.

10 brewed on site beers here, had 4 all loveĺy. Friendly bar staff ànd lovely old pub. Ron Crabtree started this lovely pub up many years ago and it is as good as ever.

My first visit since Ron passed away, and I was glad to see that nothing fundamental had changed. Still a pub that defines pubbiness.

A small, always busy pub, it gets quite crowded at times. Always warm - perhaps a little TOO warm - and generally a friendly crowd. Always great beer, and sometimes live music. The only let-down are the toilets which - being as kind as possible - are dreadful.
