I can’t praise this lovely coffee shop enough. I’m so lucky to have this in the village where I live but I would travel from afar if I had to! The coffee is the best I’ve ever had and the cakes are so good! Lots of variety and I always buy extra to take home. Very friendly owner and all the positive comments are well deserved. It’s clear that a lot of hard work and dedication goes into making this cafe as good as it is.

Warm, welcoming & friendly atmosphere, great coffee, delicious food & sweet treats. Feels like it’s the heartbeat of the village! Love this little place. 😍

Our favourite coffee and cake shop for miles & miles around. Small café situated in an old post office with a warm welcome, great coffee and fabulous homemade cakes made fresh by the owner…she’s properly talented. Our go to place if we fancy a sweet treat with caffeine. Excellent!!

How lucky we are to have this Wonderful cafe in the village. The cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a pleasure to come here every time, not to mention the delicious cakes and goodies. It’s been a god send whilst on maternity leave to be able to leave the house with my baby and meet other mums and friends here a short walk from my house. It’s clear from the outset that the little shop isn’t the most accessible with a pram however they always offer to help up the steps! Grateful that have this lovely lovely coffee shop on my doorstep!

Nice enough cafe, the low review is because of lack of facilities for babies. It generally isn't very accessible with steps to get in and doesn't have an accessible toilet either. It is only a small cafe and lady was lovely helping me with the pram. There weren't any high chairs or facilities to change my baby. I wouldn't have gone if I'd have known this but when we got there we made the most of it. The lady was really lovely bringing the coffee over and I changed my baby in the cafe before it closed. A bit disappointed, especially as there are lots of young families in the area.

I haven’t left a review for anywhere for a while now, however I HAD to log on and leave one for this beautiful little coffee shop/cafe. One of my favourite things to do is visit coffee shops with a good book.. and The Coffee Mill does not disappoint. The coffee is delicious and the cakes are to die for!!! There’s nothing worse than buying a cake and it not being very nice, but I can confidently say that I try a different one each time here, and I’m always so so impressed!! The last time I visited, I had a rice-crispy slice with a caramel fudge type centre.. OH MY WORD… taste sensation! I would visit daily but my waistline would not thank me!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visited the coffee mill today with my niece for coffee and cake and what a lovely little place it is! Highly recommend. On entering the owner went through all the selection of cakes they had on offer, my niece was spoilt for choice!! But decided on the rocky road and I picked the mars bar crunch. As a baker myself I was impressed to learn they use top quality ingredients in their cakes and the taste definitely reflects it.😊 Very friendly atmosphere, we even got chatting to some locals who told us they visited often. All in all I can not recommend this little coffee shop enough, such a lovely place to have in our village. I only came this morning and have already told my friends and family how nice it was! We will most definitely be returning, thank you coffee mill 🤗

I go to the Coffee Mill for an iced coffee pretty much every week, and the people serving coffee there are always the sweetest people. The coffee is amazing, and they also sell rocky roads, shortbread etc which are exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough.

Always such a lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, they do a gorgoeus leek and potato soup, fantastic homemade cakes, and the go to place for your caffeine fix! Highly recommend!

Love this coffee shop, it's my favourite indi coffee shop, you always get a warm and friendly welcome and service. The cakes are beautifuland indulgent, and the coffee good. You get more than value for money, and prices should be a little higher.

We love this coffee shop. We’ve visited twice now, first time was with our two young children and today as a couple after a walk. The coffee is lovely and the cakes are delicious! I loved the lemon and white chocolate blondie. Always a pleasant welcome and a smiling face greeting you. Wish this place was in my village!

Came on this place by accident , been to Dobbies garden centre and decided not to have a coffee as it was so cold in there so googled the nearest place and this came up . lovely coffee , warm and comfortable atmosphere, had a toasted t cake and a lovely cake would defo come again if we were in the area 😁

Best place for a cake and coffee in Skelmanthorpe!

Searched Google for a good coffee shop and found this 8 miles from home. I’m glad I checked street view otherwise I may have missed it, it’s easily recognised by the red pillar box. First visit but it certainly won’t be the last! Excellent large cup/mug of perfect coffee and the cakes are not only delicious, but the portions are very generous. The prices are really reasonable. It’s an understated coffee shop, in an understated location, very cosy and friendly. Can’t wait for my next visit

We love the Coffee Mill! We are always made to feel very welcome! Lovely coffee, tea and lots of hot and cold drinks to choose too. We love our takeaway coffee! The cakes are homemade by Vicky and they are beautiful! There’s water and treats for doggy visitors too!

What a gorgeous little coffee shop, with equally gorgeous cakes.

You know what it’s like when you go for a coffee at the usual suspects…coffee never the same one day to the next, servers that aren’t interested, average over priced food, and selling supermarket sandwiches blah blah blah. Well this little jewel in skelmanthorpe is nothing like that. Between our little family group of 4, we have over 120 years experience in food. We firmly believe that CM&C is the best coffee in the area now by miles, it just is. The baking is fabulous. None of this modern nonsense where you make a cake and just Chuck a load of biscuits etc on top. Nope, the baking is fabulously finished and tastes lovely. Our faves are the beautifully moist bakewell and the salted caramel millionaires style treat. It’s all thoroughly modern, but, with the skill and taste of traditional loveliness. It’s a great spot, we always enjoy going. Keep it up!

This place is amazing! My grandson loves to sit in the cafe for hot chocolate and cake. I buy all my cakey treats from here. They are delicious!

My husband and I called in to the coffee mill this morning to pick up a box of cakes for Mother’s Day. While we were there we had a superb flat white I’m fussy about my flat white but this was superb, the young man who served us was very pleasant the place was busy good job we booked. You could tell Vicky the owner is liked she has a lovely smile and knows her customers.

Lovely cup of coffee, service was great, super friendly atmosphere. Interior is very homely and stylish, makes for a lovely sit down coffee. Would recommend to anyone looking to call in!

I have been a regular customer of The Coffee Mill and Cakes since it opened and this is my first review. In all that time I have tried coffee elsewhere, both at independent and chain establishments but nothing compares to The Coffee Mill and Cakes. Unlike other establishments, a large flat white is available which suits my needs perfectly to accompany the most amazing home made cakes in a lovely friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic coffee spot ran by lovely people. Extremely welcoming and the coffee is always served to a high standard. The sweet treats are homemade and delicious too. We visit here regularly now as opposed to franchise chains. Keep it up! ☕️

Vicky has a lovely business where everyone is made to feel very welcome whether it’s for a catch-up with friends or a quiet coffee…. The cakes are absolutely delicious, all homemade by Vicky. The coffee is superb. Luckily I live local so can pop in frequently to enjoy the great ambiance. Highly recommended!

A cute cosy coffee shop with a very warm welcome. We visit here regularly for the fab coffee and delicious cakes. You always feel very welcome and they are also dog friendly. There’s always a treat for your fur babies too. A lovely place for either a quiet coffee, a catch up with friends and family, or a quick takeaway coffee fix!

Great coffee, friendly service and beautiful cakes. What more could you want?! The seasonal treats, such as the loaded cheesecake Easter eggs earlier this year, are amazing! They also have a lovely selection of greetings cards and bags for sale too. Prepare to wait a short while if they're busy, but it is worth the wait ☆☆☆☆☆
