Pink Popadom in Kirklees

Another visit to pink Poppadom, failed to disappoint. Attentive to detail and put right where disappointed. Excellent choice and range of food. Good meal and good value, great for groups. Will visit again

We decided to treat our 9 year old daughter out for a Valentines day meal. She chose Indian food so we thought we would give Pink Popadom a try. We was not disappointed. Absolutely delish! Best meal we've ever had. I would HIGHLY recommend here. Not only was the meal delicious but the staff are so lovely, friendly and very welcoming. It's lovely inside too. We sat on a booth and it felt nice and private from other people. We will definitely be back again and I do hope this review as other people wanting to try here. Thank you Pink Popadom. ❤

Luckily managed a date with my favourite piscatorian and she happens to live about 5 doors down from the Oink Poppadom. Lives up to its name with the decor erring to pink/ purple. Luckily for us the place was empty and sadly we were the only couple in while we were there. The food is to be recommended and the emporium should be a lot busier than this but it was a cold Thursday February night. My friend had prawns for both mains and starter and I tucked into a pleasantly hot curry. Hot towel and mints to finish. Very competitively priced. Recommended

had my daughters 30th birthday party their tonight with 18 guests (our children grandchildren and great grandchildren . what a great night was had the staff are most welcoming nothing too much trouble .the food is of the most delightful you could wish to have,.they looked after all your needs and requirements .And to end it all they came out to our surprise with the most delightful tasting Birthday cake thanks to all the staff once again.

Ate here last week. There were already a few people in but we’re seated promptly. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Great service, delicious food and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning. If you’ve not been before, they don’t serve alcohol and only take cash but you can get both conveniently at the shop next door.

Another amazing meal, food is always the best, spot on, beautifully cooked, chicken so tender! Never had a bad meal here. Staff are so lovely, attentive, friendly, and always have a chat when they are able, even the chef will come out to check things are ok!! Comfy, cosy, relaxed restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous!

Service a little slow to start but then picked up. Bumped into the owner outside, whilst waiting for our taxi. Extremely responsive to feedback and eager to spread word by mouth

Authentic restaurant with a wide choice of food . there is a response choice of vegetarian dishes. The family deal on a Wednesday evening and Sunday evening is particularly good value. There is a wide choice of freshly cooked food from the menu you and the staff are very helpful. They do not serve alcohol but this can be brought in or both next. be warned that they only accept cash and not credit cards

Having driven past several times finally got round to visiting for an early tea. We received a very friendly welcome and given a choice of seating. The service and food were excellent. The waiter was happy to talk through the menu and they were very accommodating in adapting some of the dishes to our requirements. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. If you want a drink it’s BYO with off licence next door

Visited Pink Popadom on Wednesday 30/10/2019 for a birthday meal for my son and must say the food was very tasty and to our liking the staff were very friendly and made our evening enjoyable it was our first visit and it will not be our last

A cafe stye Indian with amazing food and service. This is owned by the same family who own The Bangla Lounge, a favourite of ours in Birstal, so we thought we would give it a try. The menu is very different to most curry houses, generally dishes are more tomato based but the quality is just as good as the Bangla. We tend to alternate between the two, both are excellent.

We visited here and the food was amazing, very tasty, and nice friendly staff, we have also had takeaways from here, and again the food was lovely and it came piping hot, which is what you want

Had a great meal with top company at the Pink Poppadom, great on service and quality food at a great price. Can’t recommend enough, been a couple of times in large groups, unfortunately doesn’t have an alcoholic licence but Bargain Booze next door. Had the mixed starter and Lamb Karahi. Good and friendly staff. 👍🏼👏🏼 everyone in the group commented on the quality of dishes. Keep it up Pink Poppadom

Visited here for the first time and won't be the last. Restaurant small so you would need to book especially on the days they do special offers. Food was good and plenty to choose from, some dishes you won't find in other Indian restaurants.

Only found this place by accident but we have been several times now. There are not many tables so it would be advisable to book. The staff are great and the food even better and it is good value!

We have been a few times. The food is cooked beautifully and the staff are friendly. The owners brother is Abdul from Bangla Lounge and he takes the same pride in the Pink Poppadom as Abdul does in Bangla Lounge. The menus are totally different. Pink Poppadom offers some new specialities well worth trying. The offer of five courses is available Wednesday and Sunday and is fantastic value.Well done Pink Poppadom. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited early Friday evening. Pretty quiet but lots of phone calls for takeaways. Great welcome and friendly service. Had fish platter starter to share, Nawabi veg dish and a Bangalore curry with boiled rice and chilli roti. Every dish was excellent. Portions large and prices low. Will alternate between here and our previous favourite Bangla Lounge in future.

Read a glowing review about the pink popadom in the local paper so we had to visit and check it out. We were not disappointed as the food and service was excellent. We went on a sunday night and were told that there was a special offer on where you got popadoms, any starter, any main ,a side dish, and ice cream or coffee for £10.95 an absolute bargain considering the food was delicious. It is a take your own alcohol restaurant and luckily there is a bargain booze next door. We will definitely be returning.

My sons organised a suprise meal and I wasn't disappointed good food friendly staff what more can you ask for

We arrived and were quickly seated.No alcohol on the menu, but a bargain booze is next door and you can bring your own. Staff are ultra friendly, helpful and made you feel very welcome. Food was delicious, all of it. Mixed Starter was probably one of the best that I have had at an Indian restaurant, and the main was delicious. Can’t fault this please and will be back .

My husband and I ate here on Thursday 14/3 based on a friends recommendation. We didn't even know it was there ! The menu is varied and included dishes I'd never heard of, which I love, but also the old favourites. Portion sizes were good, everything was clean and we had a really nice time. We even took some takeaway menu's to pass around to our friends, that should really be testimony enough. Place is quite small, maybe 35-40 covers and they do a 5 course meal on Wed & Sunday nights for £10.95. Gotta love a bargain !!
