Khyber in Kirklees

Finally after 3 and half year of moving into the area and trying out alot of places for there kebabs, hands down this the best kebab I had in a long while. The special mixed kabab, when it came I thought what hell is this!! But it was absolutely delicious. The naan was equally nice. If you love kababs you won't be disappointed. Call handler taking order was pleasant and delivery driver got my food to me on time. They got a customer for life.

Can’t beat the famous Kev spesh kebab! Huge kebab well worth the tenner. Delivery was on time and everything was hot by the time it got to Cleckheaton. Good food, good service

Went in asked for something a certain way chef rude he said "I'm the chef and I'm not doing that" then i get home start eating it half way through i find a stone in my food absolutely disgusting wont be coming here again

Staff were helpful with suggestions, polite and very friendly. Happy to chat and staff were truly kind - asking about my father when they realised where I was taking the takeaway. Got home and the food was absolutely spectacular, really tasty - I'd definitely go back! Thank you again to staff and their kind comments and gestures - I cannot thank them enough so a review is the least I can do. You have a customer for life!

Brilliant food, highly recommended

Been using these guys for about 27 years, never had a better kebab than their Kev special...tikka kebab, lamb and chicken with green onions. Absolutely amazing

Good food most of time obviously now and again they get it wrong but the good outweigh the bad so try it you won't be disappointed and if you are they will be surely to help you good management

We haven't been for a while and it will be a while before we go again I'm afraid....we got a kevs special which was dry, I think maybe night before donner meat as it was 5.30 when Picked up. Also next to no chicken in it. We opened the cheesy chips and pulled a thick black hair out of the cheese........ we binned them obviously and picked at the dry kebab..... was a shame as we used to love the kevs specials.

Ordered online asked for something specific and they did it perfectly and didn't forget like other places and gave me a free mint sauce which I was very appreciative and it tastes amazing best I've had, kebabs best I've ever had really fresh and high quality, ordering again for curries this time, even the delivery driver was really nice and very nice to speak to, very impressed

Ordered special mixed kebab by accident 🥲it was nasty and tasted off. Had to re-order, went for the meat curry instead, which was very nice.

The chef of 28 years is a top chef eligible for Michelin star. He deserves to be in a top restaurants really Excellent service from him. He cooks with passion to get the perfect mix of balance in taste of the array of ingredients. A pro chef. The place at the front and at the back cooking area is clean and nice relaxing atmosphere with nice Pakistan music in the background. The chicken spinach special masala is esquite in taste texture and presentation will make your heart melt to feel like you're a mughal emperor. One star less as the large size was more a medium portion. Not filling like medium size at other places locally to them. It shows how good this place is! The chicken tikka kebab with naan and super salad is wow. I needed an extra naan as one with it was not enough. It was very filling after I didn't eat for 20 hours! The sauce and unique salad is stupendous A customer came for takeaway. They live far away but choose to come here then their own respective local. I totally recommend this place for chicken tikka kebab. Also the curries but it will be be rustic filling like other local places. Thank you

ABDOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!! Travelled 9.7 mile for this legendary kebab. Freddie was so welcoming & really looks after you. The Kevs special went down a right treat & the samosas were the best I've had in a while!! Decently priced as well! WE WILL BE BACK.

This place do the best curry’s, never fails and the staff there are amazing no matter when you call they are always polite they don’t rush you like some really helpful if you not tried kyber then it’s a must.

My number 1 choice for curry's lovely staff very helpful

After reading good reviews we decided to order. Ordered 2 chicken-garlic baltis from the specials sections and got watery chilli soup with chicken pieces in, chips that tasted like they were friend hours previous and the tasty sounding king kebab which didn't mention all the different meats were all stir fried together in some weird red sauce making every thing in there taste exactly the same.....actually never had such a dissapointing curry experience. We have binned it all and ordered from somewhere else....what a waste!.

Always great food from here. Timing is good, its usually the standard 40 mins which is about same for everywhere in batley.

Been going to the kyber for over 30 years when it was at butchers arms and now it is in Batley.We still go most weeks and we now live in Pontefract best curry place around and staff very helpful and friendly

I dont know if they've got a new chef but the past few months there food as been outstanding..we have clean plates when we order. The green onions are so addictive

After the given delivery time of over and hour we were called up to be told they were cancelling our order as they were too busy! They accepted the order.

Been getting their takeaways for as long as I can remember and not once have I been disappointed. Tried their restaurant for the second time tonight and the service is unbelievable definitely go the extra mile to make their customers happy and the food was just as good as always would recommend the takeaway or restaurant to anyone 10/10

Me and my partner visited the kyber tonight late tea time. Staff are so polite and welcoming couldn’t do enough for you. Food is amazing!!!! Best Indian food I’ve ever had, massive portions and lots of flavour in everything all our food was fresh and still how when served! Will be visiting here many more times!!

Went last week as we were visiting family, hubby moved to Scotland a year ago but when he lived in liversedge he always got his deliveries from the Khyber so thought we would pay a visit and to our surprise the staff remembered him. The food was sooooo delicious next time we are back to see family we will certainly come back. Well done Khyber 10/10

Visited last night and after a bit of an absence and have to say the Khyber mixed Donner special Kebab was on top form I won’t leave it so long till my next visit

Mixed starter lovely. My curry actually didn't taste of anything though so was a big let down. Tikka masala was absolutly tasteless and would not recommend but the wife's curry seemed ok.

We visited fairly early on a Wednesday so it was very quiet. The service was very good, polite and friendly.We had different starters Onion Bhajis and Chicken Tikka Pieces, they were both hot, fresh and tasty.We both had a spinach & potato main, again it was hot, fresh and tasty.Overall we enjoyed the food, liked the style and decor and will be visiting again.

I was a regular customer before they moved and i used to order all the time. When they moved ive also orderd. I have not eaten in yet but i will do. The tikka fish is amazing the kebabs the curries Those minted green onions are lovley always fresh food and salad. One of the best local take always ive ever had

Nice modern place with great food.

First visit enjoyed the food, mixed starter and fish pakora were well cooked followed by pilau rice and Kashmiri lamb with nan and complementary ice-cream. Took a bottle of wine as no license. The tables were well spaced not crowded, clean good decor, toilets clean and again good decor. Staff very helpful and easy to speak with. Overall a very good experience, will be returning soon.

Consistently good food,great service, probably the best in Batley. Don't pass up this khyber!

Amongst the best curries we've had .Visited late without booking. Lamb chops arrived on a sizzling griddle with lots of chopped onions.Large and delicious. Soft chippaties,fluffy rice ,very tasty curries. Great staff too.

Always good food. Delivery is good, takeout they sometimes add something a little extra, but it's 100x better when eating in. Very relaxed atmosphere, don't eat there if you're in a rush. Definitely worth it. Butter Lamb is the best curry I've ever had.

Food was very good . Service abit slow and a very noise family who wanted music so loud you couldnt hear yourself

We arived at 5.30pm because we have a toddler so we were the only ones there to start with but it's not a popular time to go eat. It got busy as we were leaving though The service provided by what I assume was the manager or owner was fantastic!He made us feel very welcome and explained that it was eid and he was short staffed but you wouldn't be able to tell, he was very attentive to our daughter and made recommendations which were spot on. The starters were very tasty and the lamb Karahi one of the best I've had! You get a free mini magnum at the end which is a nice touch and the prices are very reasonable + it's bring your own alcohol so brings the cost down even more.Look forward to our next visit!

We came here at 10:40pm they close at 11pm, and they welcomed us in still! The service was wonderful, the waiter was exceptional, so friendly. Best lamb chops we have EVER had so juicy and thick not too spicy, the curry was fantastic too. We have tried hundreds of Indian restaurants and takeaways as it’s my favourite food, from york to Leeds to Bradford etc and everywhere in Batley but this is by far the best. Also a baby magnum to finish with for free! Just the perfect sweet needed! Will definitely be returning just wish I’d found it earlier,Thank you!

Excellent food excellent service, from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave the service from the staff is second to none, the food is the best in the area and I was advised on what was the best dish for me, complimentary ice cream was a great touch.

Gave me 2 poppadoms while waiting for takeaway and had great recommendations for what to pick. Really friendly a d good food.

The customer service is second to none, very polite and professional, together with helpfulness and service with a smile..Clean restaurant which is what everyone looks for..The food is amazing, we eat tamale outs too, we always order from here when wanting a takeaway, it is the best Indian food I have eaten within probably a 5 mile radius..I would highly recommend this eatery, both me and my partner love it here, thanks guys xx

Very friendly welcoming. Ordered mixed kabab to share. Very tasty the best yet. A little expensive but I didn’t mind for the quality. A glass of coke which is from a can very expensive at £1.60Just need to clean the jugs and glasses a little better. Ice lolly on the way out nice touch. I will go back.
