This was my first time having coffee here, and I have to say, the taste of the coffee at this location is absolutely fantastic. On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you're a coffee lover, you definitely need to try this place!

A sign on the door said only likes some southerners. Love it because I am a southerner and I felt I was given a quick and easy service to get me out of the cafe. They did smile, strained but they did try. Latte was £3 too expensive. Won't be coming back, because I'm southern 😁

Another very successful lunch at this little gem of a place. Last time we got advice on a hidden footpath, this time we got to meet the local guy who produces their sausages from his own pigs! Jean had chosen the sausage and mash. Concerns expressed about whether they would be good enough quality. She gave them the thumbs up even before we knew their provenance- we were absolutely delighted to know where they’d come from. Looked like they had very nice carrot cake, but we managed to resist. Another successful visit to this friendly little place. Can only recommend it!

Regularly go here, great quality and food freshly cooked, fresh bread cakes daily. Great service and good value. Can’t recommend highly enough.

been to this cafe a couple of times, every time always waiting over 15/20 minutes .. came today ordered a sandwich was waiting 20minutes still no sandwich and then a customer walks in after me and walks out with the sandwich I ordered before me . People skills are really poor, don’t understand first come first served and tryed saying I was in the wrong !!!!! Do not recommend

Lovely takeaway breakfast today. I called in on spec so had to wait a bit . Next time I will order by phone first..Great value.

Disappointed that we ordered a pizza box breakfast from Cafe @ Number One and found no mushrooms in our breakfast, despite this not being one of the items we wished to remove from the dish. Bacon was very salty and tough. Unlikely to return. Heard good things, sadly, did not live up to expectations.

Food is excellent, but there was quite a wait for 2 sandwiches. Though the wait was worth it.

Sat in the sunshine having a nice bacon and egg sandwich pot of tea just the job 😎

I have been to Birstall a couple of times. I live in the USA. I have eaten many meals at this restaurant. I have remained friends with the owners. I would love to have them help me start a franchise here in Ohio.

I dont know if you like cheesecakes but the cheesecakes ive had from here are ridiculous. Ive tried many cheesecakes from many places and none come close to the ones they make here. I know its meant to be a breakfast cafe but even if you aren't looking for a breakfast just get a cheesecake to take home with you, you wont regret it

Full English breakfast with tea/coffee & toast for well under a fiver. And they take dogs. They even recommended a park to walk the dogs

Usually when I come here it's really tasty food and reasonable waiting times on the food. This time however I am very disappointed as I waited 30 mins for sandwiches seeing phone orders getting priority. To add to the wait I get home to find that all the sausages in the sandwiches are burnt to a crisp. Very disappointed as I see very good reviews and knew this place to be great.

Popped in for a full English breakfast after driving all night and was so glad I did. Lovely food, cooked fresh to order. My only suggestion to change anything is to charge a bit more ! Bargain. Thank you.

I fell in love with the food and the people. I have been to Birstall, a few times and have been known to eat there twice in one day.I plan to stop back in on my way to Germany

Follow the cafe on Facebook but always forget to call in, so called in for a takeout for the first time today. Loved every bite of our food. Highly recommend them. Credit to Birstall

Clean, light and airy at the centre of West Yorkshire. Excellent food, excellent value, lovely staff. We will be back!

Small but tidy little cafe. We had a lovely breakfast here certainly worth a visit we will be back again.

Called in to order take out sandwiches didn’t have my first 2 choices the phone rang whilst I was asking what they had the lady serving me rudely stopped serving me to pick up the phone needless to say I walked out and went to another sandwich shop over the road and got lovely service this was my first and last visit to cafe at number one!!

Amazing food and always a friendly smile and a chat from the two delightful owners, food always cooked from fresh in front of you and never just warmed up rubbish. Cannot recommend more. Warning: once you've been here, you won't be going elsewhere so it's a big commitment!

I eat here on regular basis and never had a bad meal. You have to wait a little longer as all food is full cooked from fresh and not warmed up like at some. I would highly recomend this whether you looking for a sandwich, a snack or a full meal.

Great little cafe. Very friendly staff and great ethics. Big portions, very reasonable prices and tasty home cooked fresh food. I love that they follow the suspended coffee movement so you can pay a coffee on for someone who needs it later. The only problem is it's so small!

Very good breakfasts on a Sunday morning. Highly recommended.

Called in for a coffee. The place was so nice and conformable. The food was excellent the beef was succulent and tender and the coffee was with real flavour. Nice and friendly staff. I RECOMMEND IT.
