From the reviews we thought this place would be buzzing on a Saturday lunchtime, but, on arrival at 130 we were the only customers. The food was good, but perhaps overpriced, and the choices were fairly basic. There was a good range of ales, sensibly a mix of light amber and dark at varying strengths. We will, however, give it another try.

We chose this pub for Sunday after seeing it was No. 1 in the Sevenoaks area. We booked easily via Whatsapp and the Pub were so friendly with a great sense of humour. Upon arrival at 12:30, our reception was very friendly and we chose the area around the corner from the Bar. It was not too busy but by 13:00 it was starting to fill up. By the time we left, it was very busy so advice is if you are looking to visit at short notice, arrive early. Our drinks order was taken promptly and likewise our food order. I would like to commend the Windmill for the quality of the food, traditional home cooked roasts and large portions. It was served very hot and maintained this as delivered on hot plates. The value for money verses other pubs in the area was exceptional. Therefore, if you are looking for an authentic village pub with excellent home cooked food, this is the place for you. It was for us and I can see why the Windmill is number 1 rated restaurant in the Sevenoaks area. Thank you Windmill for a lovely meal and experience.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Windmill - food was very good. Portions were huge but good quality food and puddings were delicious. Atmosphere was relaxed which is especially what you want when eating with kids. But what you don’t want with kids in tow is slow service and unfortunately it was just a bit too relaxed in terms of getting the food ordered and out. We were seated without menus so after ten mins I went to find some, it felt a very long time until our order was taken and then longer still for the food to come. All in all we were there for 2.5 hours which, although it was a lovely meal, it was only two courses and felt like too much waiting around. The staff were so friendly and I would recommend it here, but only if you have plenty of time to spare!

One of the best pubs in /around Sevenoaks and the quality of the food forced me to write this review. We visited it today as a family, ordering 3 sunday roasts and salmon fillet along with desserts. have to say- every single dish was superb; and no doubt it holds well to its reputation! the only small niggle (and that is actually a testament to its popularity) is the wait time for getting the order placed (the service thereafter was very quick; and the food quality more than compensated for the wait)!! Would highly recommend it!

Our 1st visit to this Pub having read all the excellent reviews, we had booked a table but were offered inside or out, we chose inside as we do not like smoke when we are eating, however the garden seemed nicely set up and a welcome space to eat. The menu is full of good Pub food and we chose a Starter each and a main, the Lady you who served us was very busy managing The Bar & the Food orders but was very helpful and pleasant throughout. Our 1st courses were Calamari & Prawn Cocktail, the servings were enormous but nicely presented although the Calamari were rather more “spongy” than crisp in texture. Our main courses were Sweet n Sour Chicken and a Beefburger. Again we found the portions enormous & unusually we both left good food. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with our meal at a reasonable price and all in all enjoyed our meal but we did feel that if we came again we would only order 1 course, it was also unfortunate that there were a very noisy group of men in the Bar drowning out any reasonable conversation, what a shame.

Quiet Friday lunchtime, no other customers when we arrived at 12:15 so plenty of choice where to sit. Friendly welcome and happy to provide tasters of unknown beers. I ordered Steak and ale pie, my wife ordered scampi both were served after an acceptable wait suggestive of good being prepared to order. My pie not only came with chips and a jug of gravy but also four vegetables all perfectly cooked. The scampi also came with chips (we were both offered chunky or skinny chips) plus salad and a generous portion of peas. Despite arriving feeling hungry neither of us quite managed to clear our plates. All in all a very pleasant experience which we are happy to recommend.

Food quality is phenomenal and best we've had in a long time. The menu consisted of usual pub grub, with plenty of specials, i recommend the inhouse made pies, the steak and ale pie was brilliant. Whilst children are welcome, the Prices for childrens meals are exceptionally high at £12.95 for a traditional children's main and ice cream. We will be back for a roast dinner, without the kids!

If only I could give this pub more than a five star rating I would. Exceptional customer service given by Aaron both times we visited, he went over and beyond to make our visits a positive and enjoyable experience and catered to our needs. A big thank you Aaron for all you did, you are amazing and an asset to the pub. Enjoyed a fantastic roast first time visiting, huge roast and so delicious, kids meals are amazing value and large size too. Second time we tried Nigel's pies and were not disappointed. Kids meal choices perfect. Menu is very varied and lots of options including a choice of chips, chunky or fries and options for the kids meals, salad, peas or beans. Desserts are amazing and again great choices. There was nothing we could not fault. Pub well looked after and clean, excellent toilet facilities and nice garden. Excellent location as just off the main route for us travelling to and from our holiday destination, a great find indeed using Google. The Windmill has to be one of the best pubs we have visited. If only we were more local. I hope that this pub continues to be supported as it certainly deserves the support. If we are ever in the area again we would most certainly visit it if it continues to be this good. Once again thank you. It will be very difficult to find a pub better than this one. We came in as a couple the lad who was working the bar promptly seated us with a menu and kindly served our drinks with table service, took our food order and gave us 5 star customer service.. sadly for him he got bombarded with atleast 20 to 25 customer which is great to see for the pub.. when he managed to spare little time he had he kindly came to us and apologized for not being able to over see us. I don't believe we were the only table that witnessed this well mannered gentlemen control a hectic bar but deliver great customer service.. just feel that a night like last night he needed extra staff or atleast another member of taking food orders... Under the situation he was in, we were impressed how he kept it together and along with other customers he was a credit to the pub!!! Lovely country pub, great food and reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only downside is no disabled access or toilet facilities, very difficult if your in a wheelchair, but was told this is being addressed in the future.

We dined at the Old Bank and were absolutely blown away by not only the incredible food but also, the inviting atmosphere. Each dish presented meticulous attention to flavour, impressive presentation and delicate textures, showcasing the chefs' innovative approach to British cuisine. We would also recommend the wine flight to accompany the tasting menu - these carefully curated selections of wines accompany each dish, enhancing every course with perfectly complementary flavours! Thank you and see you again soon! :)

We live a long way from The Greyhound but have visited several times over the last few years. It feels like such a loved place, by the owners and the customers. And so it should be. A warm welcome awaits with a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting interior which is also very dog friendly. And of course, exceptional food. We had the incredible Korean chicken to start, enormous portions, fantastic kick and so nice that it's all such fresh ingredients and home made. Mains of lamb and a burger put other places we've eaten recently to shame. And the service is delightful. You feel like a welcome old friend but the service is professional and unobtrusive. The Greyhound is a little diamond. Nothing we could fault at all and so wish we had something similar nearby. Lovely people, place and perfect food. A rare find.
