Under pressure with 15 people for lunch at 1.45pm on Wednesday, the pub coped very well. Especially as there was a “wake” at 11am that day! Chef did us proud, single handed, with a good range of food. Slow to come out of kitchen (hardly surprising) but piping hot when it did and delicious. Harry doing a marvellous juggling act with so many of us ‘demanding’ members of the public. Kept us under control and directed staff efficiently. Bravo 🥳 we’ll be back!

Wow. I came here back in December and what an absolute treat! The food was perfect. I don’t usually say that especially about beef like this. I order medium rare and that is exactly what it was. I went with my nan and grandad and they both enjoyed theirs. I will most definitely be back!

I found this pub (after being let down by another) via Tripadvisor and booked a family lunch for 10 people, as it was a midway point between family in London and Surrey. We all had a great afternoon - the dining room was lovely, and we had a section to ourselves. The food was fantastic - there was plenty of choice for us all, including a number of specials and the children’s menu. The portions were huge, both the starters and the main, and cooked fresh. The steak and ale pies were packed full of meat, my liver and bacon was cooked perfectly, and the burgers were very tasty. We did have a bit of a wait for food, but it wasn’t a problem for us as we were all catching up and didn’t want to feel like we were being rushed. The staff were lovely, the chap serving us was very attentive and friendly, as was the lady (apologies as I didn’t get your names). A couple of us wanted a pudding but were too full to eat it there, so took a couple of slices of honeycomb cheesecake home - they went down a treat! We’re looking forward to visiting again for a Sunday roast in the future.

We ended up here tonight after trying to get to Epsom and being stuck in the awful traffic jam due to an accident on the M25. Practically everyone here was in the same position and stranded. The chef was also stuck in the traffic and couldn’t get in. The remaining staff were AMAZING and continued working and serving what food they could eg chips. Sandwiches, to make sure everyone had something to eat after the hours we’d all spent travelling. Hats off to the staff who worked their socks off. Lovely pub, lovely staff, lovely area - nothing more to be said really 👌👏👍👏

I cannot fault Michelle or the staff at the The Three horse shoes We had our vow renewal wedding reception held there. Nothing was too much trouble, food was amazing, plenty of choice and huge amounts, all our guests commented on how amazing it was. Cold food was kept cold and fresh even though it was a boiling hot day. Bar staff were absolutely lovely, chatted to us and our guests, helped to tidy away things at the end My husband is disabled and the team made it easy for him to park and navigate around the pub, restaurant and garden Garden is beautiful, really clean & kept well Toilets are immaculate Michelle is amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, helping set up, clear away, making sure we all had enough food, chatting to all of our guests Michelle even came out to me in the car when I left to make sure everything was good and we were happy I could honestly say if your thinking of holding a function there do it!!! Michelle and the team make it so easy for you, so you literally don't have to do a thing!! Thank you all so so much On a side point we've been for lunch here many times and again food is amazing! Shout out to the 2 bar staff who used our photo booth at the end!! We've got the pictures lol

The garden was lovely and we had the whole conservatory area to ourselves which is so well decorated and cosy. I’d arranged a pre order because there were so many of us and the food was all delivered to the table at the same time, everyone’s order was spot on and the food was absolutely delicious! The food was delicious as always, although more expensive than other local pubs for lunch. 2 lunches with a drink each came to over £54 and that was one simple course each. Just because the sun had come out the music was blaring far too loud with 4 major speakers all in one small area making conversation over lunch difficult. Also 10% service charge was added to our meal including to our bar drinks. Why advertise prices on a menu if really everything costs an extra 10%? Sadly even though food was nice, we won't be returning ... Been a few times before and it's v local but not great value.

Went with the U3A lunch club. There were 12 of us. This didn’t phase them at all we requested to pay individually. More often than not this seems to set the staff into panic mode. Not here, Harry said thanks for saying now so he made a note of our names and what we had had and we all got an individual bill with the service. Well done to the chef who managed to get all the orders out together, no mean feat with the numbers involved, and food was delicious. The pub was spotless and very friendly well done to all those involved. Can imagine a Sunday lunch would be well worth a try ! Think my kitchen may be closed on a Sunday in the near future !!

Booked this pub for a wake after a funeral at Bluebell cemetery. Michelle was fantastic and provided a separate room and a tasty buffet of high quality for all 30+ guests paying attention to the dietary requests I put to her (mix of meat & vegetarian buffet food). I was particularly impressed that she prepared a completely separate plate of everything for a couple of guests (teens) with severe nut allergies who could eat as well as, and much as everyone else and not made to feel like the odd ones out. Her staff were lovely and unobtrusive, clearing away, dealing with requests etc., The team made everything very smooth and we were able to chat and share memories with friends in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Thank you so much! I highly recommend them.

Visiting the area, stopped here for lunch. Fairly quiet on a Friday lunchtime and only one bar person, but they were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. Had a wonderful lunch and the menu and specials offered plenty to choose from. I had the steak and kidney pie, hubby had the liver and bacon. Put it like this, there wasn't a scrap left on either plate! If we'd had room, we would've had pudding. There was a nice selection of real ales too, and the cost of the food and drinks was very reasonable. We weren't from the area, but I would definitely make the effort to visit again. Thank you very much!

Was sold this special day being Christmas Day 🎄🎅🏻 over the phone, was pretty much promised that the experience would be amazing and definitely not disappointed, couldn’t have been further from the truth. I had visited before in the summer and had eaten with no complaints, it was lovely. Firstly we stood around awkwardly looking for staff to show us our table, that look 5 minutes! Finally settled all squashed and crammed into a space between the door and bar. No one offered us any drinks I had to keep trying to get someone’s attention, finally when drinks came had dirty glasses, table overdressed so no room. Starter was good, so now the amazing main course, over cooked reheated roast pots that was actually missing granddaughters plat, no stuffing, pigs in blankets very little gravy. While we waited for all these to be brought to the table our Special Day I felt had been already very disappointing. We were then offered the bill and hadn’t even had our pudding I had to clear our table after each course so obviously I told them I was NOT paying the service charge. I was silenced by the governor with the offer of a bottle of wine to which I did accept, obviously! But I personally would not recommend this place for such a special occasion, especially at the cost of £466.00 less the £30 charge . Overall the experience has put me off ever going out for a Christmas dinner again, it was our first time and the lady said “we would not be disappointed lots of extras included ie: mince pies chocolates and games for the children, lucky we took our own colouring books. I’m posting this with regret and I don’t want anyone else to have have an experience as we did.

When you arrive at a village pub after a hot morning's hiking, you hope, first that it will be open; second that it does grub; and third that it won't be a gastropub. Bingo, the Three Horseshoes was just right: a normal English pub that does good pub food! Not to be taken for granted. Here I had three pints of Neck Oil and a lasagne and salad plus a side of chips. All exactly on point. I was hungry, and the meal was filling. Served piping hot--not always the case with lasagne. Cheesy sauce was tasty; the salad was well dressed; chips were chunky. Plenty of staff on, young and friendly. Just the job.

Between when we had booked, and when we actually went, my grandma had very unfortunately broken both of her wrists, but all of the staff were so understanding and accommodating of the circumstances, including adjusting her portion sizes and giving her the rest in takeaway boxes. All of the food we had was absolutely delicious, and it was very well organised so that it didn't feel too busy despite being mother's day.
