Always lovely food and welcoming staff. We have been going there for a few years now, and is always our place to go for a yummy breakfast or lunch

Excellent food, good quantities, and served extremely hot. Nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. The afternoon tea looks expensive, but the main menu is good value for money.

Highly disappointed! If you're a shopper at the garden centre (woodlands) and think you can just nip into Twig & Spoon for a quick bite/drink, think again! Unless you've reserved a table and turn up then there's a high probability that you won't get seated, even with the place being 60% empty, and front of desk just explain that they are all reserved upfront Not the kind of treatment you'd expect from what appears to be a highly recommended place to go for a treat, certainly don't get the same from the likes of Ruxley Manor and Millbrook

T&S is our go-to restaurant for birthdays, catch-ups, in fact any occasion. Inconvenient for everyone but we all make the effort and always enjoy ourselves. Good food, lovely people, what more could we ask?

Never had a bad meal here. Had the beef roast this time, and it didn't disappoint. Normally have the Kentish Ale beer battered fish and chips, which is superb. Service was great too.

Afternoon tea excellent as usual, even made separate plate of just cheese sandwiches for son-in-law. More of anything if required. 5*

The food was very mediocre today, chips luke warm and toasted ciabatta not that toasted which meant the tuna melt had NO melt. !!! Food is unfortunately going down hill. Staff very friendly and attentive but it’s the food letting the side down. Won’t be rushing back as there are far better local options to choose from.

I recently had the opportunity to experience afternoon tea at Twig and Spoon, and it was a delightful experience. The setting is beautiful, with a charming outdoor patio and a cozy indoor dining room. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. The afternoon tea itself was delicious. The selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries was extensive and varied. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the presentation was lovely. The tea selection was also impressive, with a wide variety of loose-leaf teas to choose from. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Twig and Spoon. It is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with friends or family. I highly recommend it!

I only ever have their fish and chips, have never tried anything else. So the 5 stars refers to that one dish. Their Tartar sauce is the best, apparently home made. We have never had bad service. My wife always has something different each visit, ie Ceasar Salad or a Quiche followed maybe by the Coffee cake, washed down with the house white wine. Being the driver I stick to and recommend the bottled Apple juice.

A friendly welcome and efficient staff ensured our breakfast catch up with family went smoothly. A good quality, well cooked breakfast with nicely paced service and offer of more tea when we had eaten. Very pleasant surroundings and enjoyable start to our day.

We have been to the Twig & Spoon on several occasions and have never been disappointed to date. Diners are presented with a great lunch menu and Special’s menu with enough choices for all. When the food arrives it’s a good portion and I have to say very tasty. For those with a sweet tooth and to crown it all, you are presented with a selection of cakes that will tempt anyone - A great place to go for lunch

Lovely surroundings, walking through a lovely garden centre before getting to restaurant. Food well presented and staff attentive and well dressed. Felt very special.

As we had finished shopping at the varied outlets, etc in the Woodlands Garden Centre and before visiting the Kent Fire Fighting Museum (on the same site), we called in, unbooked, at the Twig and Sppon Restaurant (also on the same site) for lunch. Although they were rushed off their feet, we were warmly welcomed and a table was found for us. We were warned that there would be a delay but it wasn't as long as we were told it might be. There's a good and varied choice on the menu with Gluten Free options (which was OK for my wife) and a lunch menu. I had the Kentish Rarebit which was delicious. Good value for money and, when the bill came, it was pointed out that a discretionary 10% was included but that this could be taken off (amended) as the customer desired. Can certainly recommend.

Great food and service. We loved our visit here. It was a relaxed and attractive environment. The service was excellent and great variety of options on the menu as well as a specials menu.

We went for breakfast, the bacon sandwich was very low standard both bacon and bread was very disappointing especially as it cost around £8 each based on my experience I definitely wouldn't return.

We came for lunch today because we do really like it here - however today the service was a little disappointing. No one came to take our order so we had to go in and tell them what we wanted. Tea was served without spoon or sugar and the warm beef on the meat platter was cold. Hopefully it will be better next time!

I love this restaurant as the atmosphere is always buzzing and the food is always fresh and professionally presented. The best place to eat for miles around!

Visited Monday 1st July 2024, with a friend. Had booked in advance online. On website the choices for eating are: Brunch, Lunch, Specials, Children’s and Drinks. I picked Brunch as table booked for 10:00. There wasn’t anything that took our fancy, however on enquiring to the young waiter were advised they had fruit scones, which when served were warm. My friend had hers with jam and cream (both served in little dishes) I had butter with mine. See photos attached. The absence of these and the variety of lovely looking cakes that weren’t on a menu, nor was there any indicator that these were available at that time could easily have lost them a sale as we were consider leaving. The restaurant is within a garden centre and there’s plenty of seating, both inside and outside, however booking is definitely recommended. We felt the presentation and cost were reasonable. A coffee, sparkling water, 2 scones £17.05. The staff were courteous and tables cleaned as soon as vacated.

As always great food and service, booking essential for weekend. Only negative is the toilets which are compact to say the least.

A lovely way to celebrate our friend’s wedding plans. The afternoon tea was delicious. We fancied a few ready salted crisps too and although you don’t sell them, Danielle insisted on going to the garden centre to get some for us. This was very kind, we just love crisps and they added the perfect crunch to our lunch. Thank you so much everyone, we had the perfect afternoon.

Went here for brunch for our daughters birthday. The chocolates I had reordered were beautifully presented on the table. The food was excellent and the staffgriwndly amd helpful.

Discovering the Twig & Spoon online, we decided it would be the perfect spot for a brunch meetup with a friend. Our choice couldn't have been better! The menu was outstanding, catering to all our tastes. The quality of the food matched the menu's promise. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We're definitely planning a return visit!

packed solid a real hidden gem, very nice gourmet breakfast. I will be back, to see if the manager/maitre d' was just having a bad day. I returned today with my family to see, if anything the manager was even ruder, dismissive, unwelcoming. I can only think he is under pressure. Even then its not much of an excuse for behaviour.

I visited the Twig and spoon Restaurant on Tuesday the 16th of April and It exceeded my expectations. The Food was great, I had the Fish finger Ciabatta and my mum had the home roasted honey and mustard ham Sandwich. The Service was very good and we felt more than welcomed. We enjoyed the restaurant itself and were impressed by how much it had been extended over the couple years. We Definitely would return again and recommend to all.

We had afternoon tea here and the food was lovely and lots included. However, today I was disappointed as not once did anyone come back and ask if we wanted further tea or coffee ( which are the only drinks included). When have been to other afternoon teas we have always been offered unlimited tea/coffee especially as this is quite an expensive afternoon tea. They add 12.5 percent service charge which I think we should have reduced or taken off because no one checked everything was ok we were just served our food/drink and left to it. We were also in a small table that usually sits 2 and there were 3 of us so not much room to put the cups and food. Felt we were shoved in the corner to get more people in. I have given 4 stars as food was good but serviced lacked very much today

We had a lovely visit for a family brunch. We were really well looked after and everyone was very friendly. The food was really tasty and well presented. It was delicious. We were sorry we did not have room for the beautiful cakes but will have to pay another visit to taste those.

What would have been a lovely trip was spoiled by the entitlement of one of the members of the staff. Whilst asking for the bill, I asked for the discretionary service charge to be taken off and said that I would pay the tip in cash. Minutes later, a male member of the team came to take payment and was court, abrasive and clearly not happy. It was a shame that this happened because he saw no service charge included. I mentioned my disappointment about this to a female member of staff a few minutes later.

Excellent food . Very good service . No complaints . Plus you can have a shop around the garden centre afterwards.

Having tried many other restaurants we have decided that this one is where we will meet up for future birthday celebrations. Mutually inconvenient but well worth the journey and we’ve never been disappointed with the food or the service. Definitely need to book ahead as it’s always very busy.

We enjoyed a belated birthday lunch with traditional fish and chips, lovely crisp batter and chunky chips,homemade tartar sauce and mushy peas made just right and finished with a chocolate Maltesers cheesecake,we both were agreed a fabulous meal better than many restaurants we've been to,service was excellent and friendly the dining area clean and bright,I was not surprised at how busy they are or by how many guests were well known to the start good customer service pays,thank you for a most enjoyable experience and we shall return.

Nice decor etc, small restaurant in a Garden centre. Overpriced food, very average. Ordered garlic prawns. Maximum of 10 prawns in shells, garlic dip in small pot, frozen tasteless chips, a lot of mixed leaf salad 1 slice of cucumbrt sliced, 1 cherry tomato sliced cost £17 Disappointing

A friend and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch here. So nice to see a good selection of vegetarian options - the butternut squash and leek gratin was delicious! We would have loved to have tried a dessert as they sounded amazing, but we were simply too full. Staff were very friendly and service was good, especially as the place was so busy. Absolutely no complaints - will be back (maybe when the pretty courtyard is open again and we can sit outside!)

Book for cream tea which we have done on a number of occasions albeit not recently. Have to say slightly disappointed this time round. Not great service, and the smallest pot of cream I've ever been served at what is called a cream tea. Cold coffee too.

Just had xmas dinner with friends. The food was excellent and hot. The staff could not be more helpful at a very busy time for them. Would definitely recommend.

Visited several times before and always good. Pre-booked to ensure table for breakfast and was seated opposite the coffee machine or was it the staff canteen! Plenty of space in main area and other customers who hadn't pre-booked were seated there so there was space available. At least 4 members of staff throughout our visit were talking and laughing so loud we couldn't have our own conversation which completely ruined our visit. Very disappointed

I visited with a friend for the Victorian Afternoon Tea, the whole experience was so magical the tea room was a feast for the eyes and was so so Christmassy! The afternoon tea itself was also just as great, the sandwich fillings were really tasty and better than some 5* London hotels, the scones were yummy and sweet treats delicious. It was quite ££ for a local afternoon tea once service was included but the quality was worth it.
