We dined at the Old Bank and were absolutely blown away by not only the incredible food but also, the inviting atmosphere. Each dish presented meticulous attention to flavour, impressive presentation and delicate textures, showcasing the chefs' innovative approach to British cuisine. We would also recommend the wine flight to accompany the tasting menu - these carefully curated selections of wines accompany each dish, enhancing every course with perfectly complementary flavours! What a lovely meal, great food, lovely restaurant, not too crowded well spaced out tables which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommended!

can you please stop with these tasting menus - it's really off putting especially if you don't like some of the course. We love your place, but put off with these constant tasting menus - please go back to the À la carte menue !!!!!!!!!

Another outstanding meal - thank you Adam and Luciano - we’re already looking forward to our anniversary dinner in November. You’ve created something very special here - exceptional food and service with an intimate and friendly atmosphere. We sat at our “usual” table by the bar which we love as we can chat to Luciano when he has a moment and a good view of the restaurant for people watching . I think my favourite dish this time was the artichoke and the glazed shallot on the main! You must be due a Michelin star soon

Although front of house was friendly, nice and accommodating, I was absolutely horrified by the lack of hygiene, precaution and distancing of staff who is clearly struggling and sick with a bad flue. In such cases, I'd expect them to be sick on leave and not handle drinks or food. Wear a facemask and constantly sanitize hands. I was mortified to watch them unhygienically rub their runny nose with their hands, serve food and proceeded to make drinks behind the bar without washing or sanitizing their hands. Even sticking their nose in the cocktail shaker. For all we know, they could've had covid and ended up spreading it to high risk individuals. This is absolutely unacceptable. Michelin star? ... really?

Came here for our wedding anniversary and so glad we did. If there was the perfect restaurant then this would be it. We arrived at 6.30pm and didn't leave until after 10.30pm and never felt rushed at any time whatsoever. The service was first rate, Luciano the Maître D was so nice. As soon as we walked in the door they were so friendly. Sometimes Michelin star places can be a bit snooty but not here. We got to pick a table. The place was much smaller and intimate than we expected. Perfect romantic meal. We went for the 8 course taster with wine pairing at £155 each. I am a pescatarian and did warn in advance. Every course was superb, and we mean every one, with delicious wine pairings. We paid £8 extra each for the cheese course with wine pairing and got a selection of three cheeses each with a glass of port of course, so you get to try six between two. We really cant recommend this restaurant enough as it just ticks every box.

Amazing! We’ve been meaning to come for ages and finally got round to it for my wife’s birthday. Amazing service and amazing food! I’d say reasonably priced for the level of food. We sat by the kitchen and were super impressed by the way the kitchen was run by the head chef. Will definitely be back!

We had the 8 course tasting menu and it was very enjoyable and there were some interesting dishes in there too. I think however that this restaurant is missing a star dish which will make the experience memorable for a long period of time.

Booked dinner with my family, a nice evening with good food but the reason for 3 stars is that we felt SO rushed, we’d barely got comfortable and opened our menus when bread and canapés were being put down, we didn’t even have a drink in front of us and we were still finishing our pre-dessert when the waiter appeared and put the main dessert down! This should be an experience of amazing food, wines and the company you’re with to last all evening but we were in and out in under 2 hrs and we’d had the tasting menu!

The 5 course tasting menu was superb. The pea tart was exceptional, never tasted anything like it before. All courses were delicious, like being on Masterchef. The mocktails were lovely, as well as the Rioja & Pouilly-Fumé. Service was brilliant too.

Outstanding service, first and foremost. They could serve fish finger sandwiches and you’d forgive them as long as the service is up there. I’ve seen the best dishes annihilated by indifferent service and chefs brought to tears when they can’t be bothered to recall the pre-service briefing! But to the food. Outstanding, technically and creatively - my only tiny gripe was there was no choice in the menu - at all. But given the restaurant was empty apart from us (2) understandable why the menu was limited. I wouldn’t have chosen duck, give. The choice, but the decision to present it in a pithivier was a smart one because for people like me (former veggie/not wholly comfortable with pink and red meats) with no indication there was a veggie/pesci alternative on the menu, I had no choice but to give it a go and I was very glad I did because it was superb. If you’re going to limit choices, duck or offal is brave so presenting it in a less scary way for the squeamish (sorry, my bad!) amongst us was a really clever way to win us over! Beautifully seasoned, exquisite presentation. Seriously the best I’ve eaten outside of London since we moved out 9 years ago. Just a shame the place was so empty but I have a theory about this. As a local, The Old Bank has built up a rep for having high ambitions and high standards. Since it opened 5 years ago, every time we’ve tried to get a table in the past it’s been booked out weeks ahead. Doesn’t need to advertise because its reputation preceded it before it even opened- and for good reason. But if lunchtimes are as quiet as we experienced, they need to reconsider how to communucate to punters like me, local businesses and residents, there’s a simpler offering at lunchtimes, same standards, quality and service, and plenty of availability. A kind of Old Bank Lite - all the charm and professionalism, just a simpler fare - and pricing. Cover the salaries, food cost and maybe a small margin on a modestly priced, short wine list per glass bev but honestly, it’s a hidden gem for lunch - they just need to get it out there that there’s a slightly lighter offering for weekday luncheon.

Smallish, modern restaurant. Two fixed price menus (changed every 3 months), one 5 courses the other 8 courses. No a la carte option. Chef provides options for those with allergies to anything on the set menus. .Service very attentive. Food excellent..The duck was a standout, especially the confit duck with rhubarb... Yes sounds odd but was delicious ! Pleasant ambiance. Definitely worth a visit.

What a fabulous night! The service and atmosphere were spot on. Luciano looked after us and ensured my allergies were suitably catered for. We felt his fun, knowledgeable approach matched with his attentiveness was excellent. Now the food! We had the 5 course tasting menu, including wine flight which we felt represented excellent value. The canapés were delicious, a shout out to the chicken liver choux bun 😋 for mains my Duck was outstanding (my favorite dish) great flavour combinations. My partner loved her Crab starter and halibut main. The sauces to accompany the dishes were outstanding and really elevated each course. Everything was well seasoned and beautifully presented. Clearly the chef has great produce and cares about the quality of the ingredients. The pre deserts were good fun and the only thing I would say we didn’t love quite as much as the other courses was the desserts, but taking account that mine was bespoke due to my allergies was no issue as the overall experience had surpassed my expectations. This is a brilliant restaurant and we can’t wait to return!

Enjoyed our anniversary meal. The service was very good and loved the extra touch of the ‘anniversary wishes’ on a plate. A few thing that I didn’t like was being sat with almost touching the bar with our backs, so that drinks and staff conversations were behind us. For instance I knew that the person serving us had a sore throat!! The entrance to the toilet was to our left. I asked if we could be sat away from the toilets and was told that the toilets weren’t there but at the other end of the restaurant. The door had ‘toilet’ marked on it and it was the toilet as I used it!! I didn’t appreciate the misinformation. Needless to say we weren’t moved and had to put up with watching dinners go to the toilet and drinks being prepared and collected behind us. Not sure that I would have positioned a couple celebrating their anniversary between the toilets and bar!! The food was fine and it was good to have the information from the waiter and waitress. It was clear and they definitely had an understanding of what was being served. The variety on the menu was really good and I enjoyed tasting lots of different dishes. In terms of taste, the desserts had the best layers of flavours and textures. The starters and mains were okay but I didn’t get a wow. The presentation and quality of everything we were served was excellent. It was an okay experience and I’m glad we went. However, I’m not sure that we would go back for £245 for two people (taster menu with 5 courses with wine, two expressos and service).

It was a nice experience, not amazing, but pleasant. Food was cooked and presented well but nothing really stood out. We had the 8 course tasting menu. There were only 2 staff who seemed very rushed, and we felt hurried- before we had finished one wine or course, the next was there. The ambiance could have been better with more subtle lighting. We were sat by the door which had a sensor light come on every time anyone went to the flat above. With a few changes it could be great. With the price of £155 each plus extra for cheese, it should have been amazing

We went for the first time and had the five course tasting lunch with wine flight. It was outstanding. Food was delicious and interesting. Wine was excellent - especially the champagne. Very friendly service and welcoming vibe. Toilets were pristine. It might seem expensive but for a special meal it is worth it.

Managed to get a table when there was a cancellation. Great food. Taster menu pushed us to try some things that we wouldn't normally pick. Wine pairings were spot on.

A beautifully presented restaurant with great service. The food was well thought out and tasty. Apart from the fish dish and the lamb (on the 8 course tasting menu ) the rest were cold dishes, pre prepared for quick serving. We had a great night but… For just short of £400 for 2 people, the best I can describe the experience is a fancy bread and butter starter followed by a bit of fish and lamb and a pudding. With lovely wine to accompany and a few bits of well flavoured food between. Can I have better for a lot less at home? Maybe not as well presented and perfectly cooked food but about £370 cheaper. The chef was brilliant to talk to, passionate about his craft and his kitchen was immaculate. We had a lovely evening, would we go back? No, as only tasting menu available and very expensive. Would we recommend? Yes, for an experience and an entertaining night out.

The Old Bank was simply outstanding in every respect.We had the chefs table for eight and had the eight course tasting menu.It was sublime from the start with brilliant innovation,wonderful food presentation and superb taste.My fellow guests were wowed by Adam’s creativity and three hours after we arrived we left so happy that the Old Bank is a destination restaurant and we live 200 yards away.The service was impeccable-nothing could be said other than praise all round for the front of house team which made the evening such a warm pre-Xmas event. Consistently outstanding and always with a good vibe. Now only tasting menus, some had dietary requirements - it was no problem to substitute a few dishes. Size of courses was perfect with the 5 course menu. Plus we had the excellent cheese course. The food is innovative, the presentation outstanding and always fresh flavours. Great friendly service. My only complaint - they no longer open for Sunday lunch (which was always excellent). This place really deserves a Michelin star.

A lovely return visit to The Old Bank as part of a group that included a professional pastry chef (they were totally blown away by the food, service and atmosphere). We had the 5 course tasting menu. Everything was beautiful, tasted great and was perfectly executed. Great service too.

This restaurant is settled in the heart of Westerham Town. I came for an evening meal, and the menu choices were tasting menus, either 5 or 8 courses. We decided on the 5 course. The food was fresh and original. Every course was beautifully presented and tasted equality delicious. This restaurant definitely serves a Michelin star 🌟 The restaurant was elegant and crisp looking. All the staff were friendly,attentive and nothing was too much trouble. This was a fine dining experience with class and reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend if you like the fine dining experience and I'd definitely return when back in the area.

We went to The Old Bank for a birthday meal. We have only ever done one other tasting menu meal before (Jason Atherton) so still very new to us. We were blown away! It did not disappoint. I’d actually argue it was better than Pollen st. The variation of food was superb, some dishes were like main courses (in size) it took us a good 3 hours but it was absolute perfection. Would highly recommend and we would love to go back to try a different menu. Excellent value for money. The team are also a credit to the operation- we loved it!! The celeriac dish was my favourite - never had anything like it. The wine list very comprehensive and reasonably priced. The setting and atmosphere is also perfect- it didn’t feel too formal but special enough to also feel comfortable. What a credit to Westerham this little gem is!

A first class fine dining experience. The front of house team are an absolute asset to the restaurant and the chef is incredibly talented. They were able to accommodate our pescatarian diet for the 8 course tasting menu with ease. A gem in the area. We will be back!

Beware! The excellent restaurant has lost its way. There is now no carte, just two taster menus, 5 or 8 courses, both with the same dishes and both expensive. This makes it a no choice venue, which is tough luck if you don’t like the offerings. Last nights menus had no meat at all on it, although the desserts were excellent. Sadly, I cannot see the Old Bank surviving with this format and these prices (£75 or £105 per head). I hope they can have a rethink.

First time at Old Bank and we had the eight course taster menu. One of our gusts has a garlic allergy, which is not one of the common allergies. The chef Adam coped with this admirably. The food was a delight one of the best taster menus we have had and we have had many across the country from many of the Michelin star chefs. The quality of the food the presentation and the service was exceptional. The knowledge of the waiters about the wines they offered was one of the best we have experienced. If you want to experience quality food and quality service at a reasonable price we thoroughly recommend the Old Bank at Westerham

Make sure you are starved before attempting the eight course tasting menu.

It has been over a year since our last visit to The Old Bank and we found an opportunity to return. The restaurant has just reopened following its annual summer break and the offer will soon be moving to a Wednesday to Saturday operation with a choice of two tasting menus – 5 or 8 courses with a further option of a cheese course. We decide to go for the 5 course tasting menu, Chef Adam Turley and his team are clearly showcasing their skills with stunning and delicious dishes. So many techniques executed with precision. With a friendly and knowledgeable front of house team, it was an inspiring and aspirational experience.

Superb food and service from start to finish of eight-course tasting menu. Great and interesting tastes and combinations throughout. Pacing of the meal was just right and it was the best all round eating experience I can remember for a long time.

Party of 8 seated at the chefs table with intimate views of the kitchen to celebrate family birthday. The evening was outstanding - the table location and being able to see the food prepared and plated with such attention to detail was brilliant, the service impeccable and the food delicious - would thoroughly recommend. We knew it was going to be a good evening when the complimentary canapés arrived - described with such enthusiasm by our waitress - along with bread and ‘to die for’ chicken skin butter !!! Being a large party, most of the menu was tried and apart from my 94 year old mum asking for more potatoes to go with her beef (which was duly supplied without hesitation), there was not a single murmur of anything but complimentary comments. The food was cooked to perfection and an amazing blend of taste and colour, as the photos of scallop starter and Guinea fowl main should evidence. Note : Previous comments of ‘small portions’ are totally unfounded - with two very full and content twenty year old sons a testament to the skills of the chef. We will definitely be back to try the new taster menu offer when the restaurant re-opens after its summer break.

Fantastic 3 course lunch here today. The food was out of this world - on a par with any Michelin starred restaurants I've been to in Central London. Beautifully presented plates and service professional but warm and friendly.

We enjoyed the most delicious lunch here on Saturday. Not only were the dishes so attractively presented but the many different flavours achieved were exceptional. Added to this the service was excellent with the maitre ‘d sharing his enthusiastic knowledge of the wines that the three of us enjoyed. We will be back!

What an incredible experience. My partner and I had the Vegan Tasting menu which was absolutely delicious. I have been on a plant based diet for health reasons for nearly 5 years now and never had a meal that was so inventive, beautiful and at the same time so tasty. Hats off to the chefs! Also I would be doing The Old Bank an injustice if I didn’t mention the incredible service, every course was fully explained to us in great detail , the timing between each course was just right. Thank you and we can’t wait to return

I honestly couldn't fault it, it was such a lovely evening and food surpassed any expectations I had. Also loved the British wines on the menu. Most certainly will be back and highly recommend. I even got a surprise birthday plate!

After reading all the positive reviews I have to say I was a little disappointed. Other diners seemed very pleased with their dishes so it must be just me. If you like large plates that look pretty but have very little on them this place will be for you. I found the tiny individual elements of each dish either tasteless or salty. Apart from the English Kissabel Apple Tatin which was predictably small - (approx 6cm's across) but unbelievably sweet, so much so that it could have been almost anything other than apple. The staff are incredibly friendly but for me, no matter how well presented, at these prices you shouldn't leave still hungry wishing you'd gone for a sandwich somewhere else instead.

Lovely restaurant, excellent service, great wine but don’t go if you are vegan. I found the food very salty, the vegan muffin (bread alternative) strange and the cabbage not great. The food looked unbelievable and cannot fault this only the flavours slightly lacking, sorry.

A lovely Maitre D’ and all the staff were outstanding but I am going to be honest I was not blown away by the food and after reading the reviews I had high expectations. The canapés were lovely no complaints there but when you are paying these prices you want dishes to remember and flavours that you don’t forget. The dishes were visually pleasing but that is where the theatre ends. If more attention was paid to flavour I might return.

Went there last Friday for lunch with friends. Great food, as always.

We were blown away by the food, service, and ambience. Just right in every way. Not only is the food beautifully presented, the taste was gorgeous. We’ve told so many people about our visit!!

You are given a small dish as a pre-starter and petit fours at the end when you order a tea or coffee. The menu changes every so often but the standard of food is always tasty and presented really nicely.

Went for a birthday at the chefs table and it was super. The food, wine and attention from the staff. We could see how hard they were working in the kitchen to make sure it was spot on too. Well worth booking and enjoying.

This is a first for me, a 5-star review as I always feel places can do better but having had a splendid meal there on July 15th 2021 I had to abandon my usual practices. Service was top notch being attentive without being pompous or overbearing/pushy. Food was wonderful and, fortunately, for me, my partner and a friend who we dined with made great company. Is there an else to say? Well, I'll have to try having lunch there and seeing if they do just as well then as they do in the evening. Oh dear, I've forgotten to have lunch here in the year since my first review but have now been back and had Sunday lunch. Yes, it's slightly different from a weekday as it a roast but, a great British institution is elevated to mouthwatering heights. Things are as good as ever with fabulous food, even though the menu is different A major PS to add to my review. My partner has started growing organic vegetables on a smallholding close to here and needed to deal with a glut of early season produce. A phone call and an agreement to look at the produce. Chef was delighted with it and has bought more subsequently. Things culminated in another call and they wanted beetroot which we were happy to supply as well as the usual courgettes with flowers. Imagine the surprise when they told my partner they were going to make her produce a feature in one of their menu items. A great surprise and it's given us another reason to go back and sample the excellent food. January 2023 My partner's birthday gave us another reason to visit. If anything the food is even better. The menus have experienced a seasonal makeover and consists of an a la carte section an 8 course tasting menu and an 8 course vegetarian tasting menu. We chose from the a la carte menu and it was, as I've already stated, excellent. My partner has some food preferences for health and religious reasons but everything is catered for and altered to ensure her wishes are respected.

The Old Bank is absolutely indescribable. I can't recommend the eight course taster menu in stronger terms - it's a collection of the finest food imaginable, every molecule cooked to utter perfection. The best thing we had - and it's an insanely tough call - was the crab ravioli, but there wasn't a single course that fell short in any way. The staff were incredibly professional but very courteous too, especially as we probably gave off the sense that we were quite new to fine dining. Eat. Here.

If this place doesn’t get a Michelin star very soon, I’d be very surprised. We enjoyed an excellent group dining experience on the chef’s table. Highly recommended by all 11 of us.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday in December 2022 with my work colleagues. We were lucky enough to sit on the chefs table and ordered the tasting menu. The food was exceptionally good and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic meal and service every single time!

Had our annual get together with great friends, and went for the tasting menu and wine flight, were sat at the chef’s table so an extra treat for us all. My favourite courses were the linguine and salmon cannelloni and the soufflé dessert course.

Excellent food and presentation. We were sat in a draught from the front door and were not permitted to move to an available table out of the firing line, even though it was empty throughout our meal. Very friendly, good-humoured serving staff.

I had the salmon cannalloni and the sea bass to follow… impressive range of flavours and textures. The service was discreet and attentive. £100 per head was worth it for canapés, 3 courses, a bottle of wine, coffee, sparkling water, and service charge.
